OIM Design Console Internal error while updating task attributes

Hi All,
I have installed OIM9101 on jboss, the set up is running fine. I am in the process of integrating a OID connector following steps given OID connector guide. In design console(Administration-->Task Scheduler) while modifying "OID Group Lookup Reconciliation Task" attributes, attribute value is not getting saved. When i click on save option it shows a pop up windows saying "problem in updating task attributes. update failed."
Any solution for this??.. Please help.
Thanks in Advance.
Edited by: VAYANAKA on Nov 26, 2010 10:48 PM

Thank you for the reply..I have tried to create a new scheduled task. But while saving it again an Internal error pop up window comes saying " Description:Could not execute database read. The database encountered a problem with the specified SQL Query.Remedy: Check the database query.Contact your system administrator."..
Is it any problem with my database.? I have checked database, its up and running??
Thanks In advance.

Can anyone please suggest me where i am going wrong?
    Thanks,
    Uma.

I would assume you are missing the jar file for your scheduled tasks. Try and create a new scheduled task with the same class name, if it won't let you save, this is your answer. You'll want to make sure you have the connector scheduled task file in the ScheduleTask folder in your OIM directory.

  • Error while updating AD attributes-OIM 11G

    Hello All,
I changed the expiration date value in user table and the associated change task is propagating the change to AD User process form, BUT the Account Expiration Updated task failed and it throws the below error.
Similarly for all the attributes this is happening, any change made in xellerate user form is forwarded to process form but the associated Update task is failing and the attribute is not updated in AD.
    Thanks.

may be jar is missing or get corrupted. try to copy all jars (lib and ext) again from <OIM_HOME>/designconsole/lib or ext again (make sure you have wlfullclient.jar under designconsole/ext folder)
make sure if you copy using winscp at your local windows machine then must copy in binary mode

Please find the attachment, I have tried to update the lastLogon attribute to replicate in global catalog, then the error has occurred as follows. I have enterprise administrative power, then also not able to update the attribute, please help

I would agree with Martin. You simply need to be member of Schema Admins
group. You can add that using dsa.msc.
By the way, why are you trying to do that? Lastlogon attribute should not be replicated as it maintained locally on each DC. If you want to get the user exact last logon date and time then you can use my script here: https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Get-Active-Directory-User-bbcdd771

  • Error while updating Task using pa_project_pub.update_project API

    Hi All,
I am using AMG APIs "pa_project_pub.update_project" for Task dates update . I am getting the  API Error message as : "For a shared structure or a Workplan structure, all tasks in the structure should be passed in correct hierarchy."
Even though I am passing the Task information in the task_in_tbl_type  in correct order (Ex. For extending dates, Top Task first followed by Sub Task and vice-versa for the shortenings the dates).
Still I am getting the Error. Request you to help me in resolving the error.
    Thanks,
    Atul

    Hi All,
    Thank you All.
Actualy I was watching the thread and got no Reply.this enable me to search more for the cause and eventually for the solution.
The Error "The flex field values you have entered are invalid" was because of DFF values only. I found this solution from API code only. It takes me to PA_PROJECTS_PVT where I Found the Error Code and then to flex field validation and then to Task utility Package.
Actually when you are not passing any value for Attributes, It will take the Old values only. and If the old values fails to Validate, this issue may arise. Same was the cause in this case. For An attribute the Value Set was "Standard Date" and it was accepting "DD-MON-RRRR" from Front End, but keeping "DD-MON-RRRR HH:MI:SS" as a value in the Attribute. For Eg. 12-DEC-2012 will be stored as 12-DEC-2012 00:00:00. It was there for almost all the Tasks.
And when it was passed internally to API, It was causing the Error that Value enterted are Invalid.
I came to know only after running the Desc Flex Field Validate API, which PA_PROJECTS_PVT was using.
Got the Solution and feel like sharing with you all.
    Thanks,
    Amit

I think this might be related to the task comments and with an internal method calling, but can't solve it in any way I know,
I've tried to remove the userComments from the Task Form, and remove anything associated with it, but everytime I try to savbe the task it gets this error
    thanks

  • OIM Design Console Invalid Login tcLoginException

    Dear All,
While trying to login to OIM Design console using design console or using the API the following error is displayed:
    Error Keyword: DAE.LOGON_DENIED
    Description: Invalid Login.
    Remedy: Contact your system administrator.
    Action: E
    Severity: H
    Help URL:
    Detail:
    com.thortech.xl.security.tcLoginException: com.thortech.xl.crypto.tcCryptoException: KeyStore File :..\xlclient\config\xl.keystore missing.
I believe the password has been changed but unable to login.
My question is how do we reset this password.
    Regards,
    Simon

Do you know password of any other user? If yes, then login into database,
execute query "select usr_password from usr where usr_login='user whose password u know'". This will return encrypted value of password. Copy it and execute query:
"update usr set usr_password='Copied password from above query' where upper(usr_login)= upper('xelsysadm');".
In this way you can set password of Xelsysadm to a known value. Now, you can login into system and change the password of System admin.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    GP

Is that possible there was the field ZDATE in your form interface/ context and now it is not? I guess some source has changed so the field in the form (binding to the not existing field) cannot be processed. Otto

To set this variable, right-click the My Computer icon and select Properties. The System Properties screen is displayed. Click the Advanced tab and click the Environment Variables button. The Environment Variables screen is displayed. Ensure that the JAVA_HOME variable in the User Variables section is set to the path of the JDK directory installed on your machine.

    Thanks ,

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I encountered exactly the same error message.
I have installed OIM server and client in a single cluster environment several times and it all went well.
This is the first time I'm installing OIM in a clustered environment with one admin server and 2 managed servers on 2 physical machines. The server installation is done. Then I installed the client on both 2 physical machines, with each client pointing to the managed server on the same machine respectively. When I attempt to login I received the same error.
I have checked xlclient\Config\xlconfig.xml. Other then the MultiCastAddress being different from OIM server configuration, all the settings seems fine. I have corrected the MultiCastAddress to match the server then restarted the client, but still receives the same error.
Any ideas on what might went wrong? Thanks in advance!
