  • How to run a BI-Publisher report from the Appworx enterprise batch sheduler

    We have a BI-Publisher report that needs to be executed staight after a batch job. Does anyone know how to execute a report from the Appworx enterprise batch scheduler?
    Thanks.

    I'm not familiar with AppWorx, but we use Autosys. We created a PL/SQL wrapper that calls FND_REQUEST.ADD_LAYOUT and FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST to submit XDOREPPB. For any report that needs to be scheduled via Autosys, the wrapper program is executed with the appropriate parameters.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to call the XML Publisher Report thro Standard PO Output for Comm.

    Hi
    We need to call our custom report(XML Publisher Report) from the standard PO Output for Communication Report.
    There is a parameter(Purchase Order Layout) in PO Output for Communication in which we can see no. of standard reports. We want to add our custom report in that list so that when we will run this standard report by selecting our custom report for Purchase Order Layout parameter, we should get the output as per our Custom report.
    Since PO Output for Communication is a Java Concurrent Program, we are not able to place our custom report in the list of Purchase Order layout Parameter.

  • How to embed a BI publisher Report in welcome page of fusion app?

    Hi,
    I was a ADF developer, new to fusion app and BI publisher. We are using Oracle Fusion Application version 11.1.7.0.0 for compensation implementation and BI publisher is a part of it.
    I've developed a BI publisher report, placed it under Shared Folder \ Custom, want to embed the same in welcome page of the fusion app. By following the video How do I embed a report in a sales dashboard? - YouTube, I followed below steps
    1. Administration -> Customize Work area page
    2. Add Content
    3. Clicked on 'Reports and Analytics'
    4. Clicked on 'BIPresentationServer'
    5. Shared Folder
    6. Custom
    Issue: Though I have some reports under this 'Custom' folder, it says 'Empty folder'. It only shows the 'Analysis' but not any reports. Problem is not with this folder alone but all. I've also ensured that I am able to see all the reports when I navigate using Navigator -> Tools - > Reports and Analysis.
    Can any of you guide me on what is the issue and what to be done?
    Thanks in Advance.

    Thanks for the link. I am reading it for better understanding.
    I just came to know from SR that, In order to see the BI Publisher in the Presentation Server list of values, we have to embed the BI Publihser report inside an OTBI Dashboard.
    So we need to create a 'Dashboards' folder (It is must only then we are able to see it via fusion apps. to select and embed), then Dashboard and add the desired report to this dashboard. Now we can navigate to this dashboard, open it and select the page to embed it.
    Might be useful for the ppl who faces similar issue. Thanks.

  • How To Schedule an Hyperion Interactive Reporting Dashboard

    Hi . Can somebody let me know on how to schedule an Interactive REporting Dashboard Report and Export the output in PDF and Email the user.i can see the output in HTML when i schedule a pivot, Chart but i dont see anything when i try to schedule a Dashboard . Any pointers in Greatly appreciated

    Once you have the dashboard scheduled to run/ process your queries.
    Go to run the job. In there you will need to edit the cycle by clicking on Modify
    (This will open another page)
    Under the Actions sections there is a part that says
    Add a(n) select the drop down that says Email Section.
    This will take you to anther window where you can select the section you want to output (in your case the Report)
    who to send it to and what format you want to send it in (default shows Microsoft Office Web archive).
    Hopefully this will help you.

  • How to schedule and e-mail reports in OIM 10g

    Hi,
    Could you please let me know how to schedule and e-mail OOTB reports in OIM 10g.
    When I click on reports tab and try to run a report, I see the report displayed on the screen and has an option to export to CSV format.
    I could not find a place where I can specify the scheduling interval or the set of e-mail recipients.
    Looking forward to hearing from you,
    Many thanks in advance

    You can write your own schedule task to do the same. You can use the existing Stored procedures which are used by OOTB reports to get the desired report.
    You can also make use of API: http://otndnld.oracle.co.jp/document/products/id_mgmt/idm_903/doc_cd/javadocs/operations/Thor/API/Operations/ReportOperationsIntf.html

  • How to schedule and deliver a report in OBIEE 11g as an link or url to the report ?

    I am using OBIEE 11.1.1.6. We have a requirement to schedule and deliver reports as a URL and not as an attachment ( as the file sizes are quite huge ). Have any one implemented such a scenario ? If so kindly share was it an out-of-tne-box solution or used web services ? Thanks in advance

    Hello user9210174,
    I have tried in this way.Let me know if it meets your requirement.
    Created a dummy report with all the reports embedding as a Link and this report i have inserted into a dashboard then created an agent to schedule this dashboard.

  • How to invoke XML Publisher report in 11i

    Can anybody please guide me on How can we invoke xml publisher report in 11i and how can we call XML publisher report from form or OA framework.
    Thanks

    Hi
    1. From a form ... a little tricky. Forms 6i has v limited java support so calling the XMLP apis directly is going to be tough. We do have a few products and customers that do it, here are a few scenarios:
    a. Have a button/menu item to call the report, this actually kicks off the concurrent manager to submit a report that XMLP will format
    b. Have a button that calls the plsql package, 'htp', this in turn can call an OA page where a report can be rendered in the page.
    2. From OAF page - much easier. You can call the TemplateHelper API form your page passing data, template reference, lang, terr, output format - the API will return the output.
    For the OAF approach and option'b' for forms I would recommend using the XMLP common region. This is a region that can be plugged into your custom page. Its very configurable - you can point it to a concurrent request, a completed document e.g. a PDF doc, you can pass it XML data from your BC4J objects or a data template. You can then configure what changes the user can make, change template, language, locale, output - please check the user guide for details on the Common Region.

  • XML Publisher Report with PL/SQL

    Hi
    Like to know how to develop the XML Publisher Report with PL/SQL, i did the following
    1. created a pkg like as below
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY APPS.TEST_XMLTAG_PKG AS
    PROCEDURE main (errbuf OUT VARCHAR2,
    retcode OUT NUMBER
    ) IS
    BEGIN
    DECLARE
    ctx DBMS_XMLGEN.ctxHandle;
    xml CLOB;
    BEGIN
    ctx := dbms_xmlgen.newcontext('select * from scott.emp');
    dbms_xmlgen.setrowtag(ctx, 'MY-ROW-START-HERE');
    xml := dbms_xmlgen.getxml(ctx);
    dbms_output.put_line(xml);
    Fnd_file.put_line (fnd_file.LOG, XML);
    END;
    END;
    END TEST_XMLTAG_PKG;
    this pkg produces the output with xml tag in the view log.
    I have registered the conc program & xml rtf but it does not produce the output in PDF, , I am not able to get the xml tag when i click the Diagnostics --> View XML.
    can you please let me know the next steps involved.
    Regards
    Yram

    I think the problem is because there is no begin and end tag. save the xml from the logfile and open with xml editor or IE.. then you will see the problem.
    add Begin and end tag...then you should be fine.. i.e
    fnd_file.put_line(fnd_file.output,'<EMP_DATA>'); -- begin Tag
    tx := dbms_xmlgen.newcontext('select * from scott.emp');
    dbms_xmlgen.setrowtag(ctx, 'MY-ROW-START-HERE');
    xml := dbms_xmlgen.getxml(ctx);
    dbms_output.put_line(xml);
    Fnd_file.put_line (fnd_file.LOG, XML);
    fnd_file.put_line(fnd_file.output,'</EMP_DATA>'); -- End Tag
    Hope this helps..>Good Luck

  • Scheduling of Web Analysis Report

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me how to schedule the Web Analysis reports and IR Reports in Workspace.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Palagiri

    Hi Palagiri,
    For IR, have a look in the online help and document repository for Jobs:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/nav/portal_4.htm
    - Check out the Workspace Users Guide Chapters 13, 14 for specific info.
    I don't think it's possible to schedule Web Analysis as it's supposed to be online analysis, rather than pushed.
    You can also schedule Financial Reports, using the batch scheduler in Workspace.
    All on version 9 and above.
    Cheers

  • BI Scheduler configuration for a report

    When I schedule a BI Publisher report to send out an email monthly. Where is that information stored in the configuration files? I looked around online and can't find any documentation on where it is stored. Is it stored within the report XDO file itself or in a separate location? Appreciate any input!

    Ugh, my bad, too early in the morning. Totally forgot about the Scheduler schema that was built in the DB. Thanks for the quick answer

  • Deploying BI publisher report from OEM plug-in

    Hi!
    I am a bit confused about how to deploy & access BI publisher report from the plugin I develop
    I've found only the http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e25161/bi_pub.htm and am a bit confused
    What I did:
    1) Integrated BI publisher with OEM
    2) Developed a BI publisher report
    3) Downloaded 2 files : xdoz and xdmz (DataModel & report)
    4) made folder structure
    /bipublisherreports/
    /EM_Datamodels
    5)packed into jar
    jar cf myjar.jar ./bipublisherreports
    6)put jar into ../oms/reports/emreports
    7)written report.xml (in ../oms/reports/) file:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8' ?>
    <BIPublisherReports
    xmlns="http://<what ip is here???>/DataCenter/BIPublisherReport">
    <ReportFile relativePath="emreports" fileName="myjar.jar"/>
    </BIPublisherReports>
    The plug-in does not pass validation...
    cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'BIPublisherReports'. for the MDS id report
    Error is ungooglable =(
    Can anybody help or point to some clear doc?

    cd /tmp
    mkdir STAGE
    cd STAGE
    mkdir bipublisherreports
    cd bipublisherreports
    mkdir EM_Datamodels [notice the underscore]
    mkdir "My Sample Report" [notice, the quotes are necessary since the directory name contains spaces]
    The datamodel needs to go in the following directory:
    -------------- "bipublisherreports/EM_Datamodels/My Datamodel.xdmz" [there is an underscore between EM & Datamodels]
    The reports go in a report directory, for example:
    --------------- "bipublisherreports/My Sample Report/My Report.xdoz" [use spaces here wherever you prefer]
    Make sure your report refers to the datamodel in the right location. So, in BIP, when editing the report, use the above folder names, under the 'Enterprise Manager Cloud Control' shared folder.
    For example, your BIP catalog will look like this:
    Shared Folders
    ---Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
    -------- EM_Datamodels
    -------------- My Datamodel
    -------- My Sample Report
    -------------- My Report
    You then create a jar file with this:
    cd /tmp/STAGE
    jar cvf myemreports.jar bipublisherreports
    Now, you need to make your bip reports part of your plugin source code.
    You put your report.xml in your sysman/metadata/bipublisherreport [note the singular] directory.
    For example:
    <BIPublisherReports
    xmlns="http://www.oracle.com/DataCenter/BIPublisherReport">
    <ReportFile relativePath="emreports" fileName="myemreports.jar"/>
    </BIPublisherReports>
    You then create a subdirectory, sysman/metadata/bipublisherreport/emreports
    And you put your myemreportrs.jar file here.
    You then rebuild your opar using standard EM procedures.
    When a customer later on instals your plugin, the BIP reports that go with the plugin are installed into the EM database repository automatically.
    they can simply do this to deploy the bi publisher reports from em to BIP at any point:
    emcli deploy_bipublisher_reports -plugind="my.sample.plugin" -pluginversion ="12.1.0.3.0" [-force]
    The -force operation overwrites the reports.
    See the complete help text like this:
    emcli help deploy_bipublisher_reprorts
    If they have not yet configured BIP with the configureBIP script, this deploy step happens automatically when they run configureBIP.
