Oim11g: Accessing oim password stored in CSF from pre-populate class

Can I access the oim password stored in CSF from the request template pre-populate class?
I am using hte following code from my class but its not working:
====================================
String oimUserName = "";
String oimPassword = "";
//get system administrator's credentials
oracle.security.jps.JpsContext ctx = oracle.security.jps.JpsContextFactory.getContextFactory().getContext();
final oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialStore cs = (oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialStore)ctx.getServiceInstance(oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialStore.class);
oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialMap cmap = cs.getCredentialMap("oracle.oim.sysadminMap");
oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.Credential cred = cmap.getCredential("sysadmin");
if (cred instanceof oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.PasswordCredential) {
oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.PasswordCredential pcred = (oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.PasswordCredential)cred;
char[] p = pcred.getPassword();
oimUserName = pcred.getName();
oimPassword = new String(p);
====================================

Try using the following code:
String oimUserName = "xelsysadm";
oracle.iam.passwordmgmt.internal.api.PasswordManager passwordManager = new oracle.iam.passwordmgmt.domain.PasswordManager();
String oimPassword = passwordManager.getUserPasswordFromDB(oimUserName, true);

  • OIM 11g: Has anyone managed to pre-populate Display Name by post process

    Hi all,
    I have an event handler to set Display Name. It works via pre-process but not post (which we need for recon).
    Does anyone have this working for trusted reconciliation?
    Thanks,
    Wayne,

    We are doing a little more basic in our modify post process handler... something like:
    public BulkEventResult execute(long processId, long eventId, BulkOrchestration bulkOrchestration) {
      HashMap<String, Serializable>[] bulkParameters = bulkOrchestration.getBulkParameters();
      String[] entities = bulkOrchestration.getTarget().getAllEntityId();
      params = new HashMap<String, Object>();
      HashMap<String, Serializable> parameters;
      for (int i = 0; i < bulkParameters.length; i++) {
           entityId=entities;
    parameters = bulkParameters[i];
    // Insert whatever your custom display name logic is below
    String fName = getParameterValue(parameters, "First Name");
    String lName = getParameterValue(parameters, "Last Name");
    String mInitials = getParameterValue(parameters, "Middle Name");
    String dName = lName + " ," + mInitials + " " + fName;
    params.put("Display Name", dName);
    try {
    entityManager.modifyEntity(bulkOrchestration.getTarget().getType(),entityId, params);
    } catch (InvalidDataTypeException e) {
    // All/any of your catches go here
    return new BulkEventResult();

    Use the correct password. If you don't know it there is no way to bypass it.

    I imported some 24P HD videos from my DSLR to Aperture but these videos do not show up in iMovie '09 for editing purposes. Although my previous 24P HD Videos from iPhoto '09 show up. Why can't I access these videos stored in Aperture library? I assumed that like  the videos in iPhoto, I would be able to access the videos in Aperture through iMovie. Come on Apple! I am starting to get frustrated with your products here. And this is saying a lot when I have been using and loving apple products for the last 4 years.

    Hi. My camera is a Canon 600D. And yes my videos are stored in the Aperture library and they are not referenced. Even then I tried to select all the videos in Aperture and clicked 'consolidate masters' and there was a messge that said all 'none of the files are referenced',... so they didn't need consolidating.
    I also tried preferences> export> external video editor > choose > iMovie. And then right click on the video to edit with imovie. Even then the video didn't show up in iMovie. It seems like the only option for me is to import the videos directly to iMovie which means there will be two versions of the same file stored in my computer eating up space.
    APPLE. What are you doing?

    Which keyboard layout you were using? German, French ... I suppose your layout is reset to the default: US and you are unable to find the "?" or "/" ...
    Please have a look into the keyboard viewer, to see how the layout of your keyboard is actually.

    We have three operational computers, one does not have iTunes on it.  Since Apple is saying I have more than 5 authorized computers, and I can't imagine what they are, I am afraid to deauthorize all my computers.  See what I mean?  I just wanted to ask the question about how I can find out WHICH computers Apple thinks I have authorized, so I can decide if it's safe to deauthorize them all or not.
    You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. Apple's system would see that as a different computer, even though you don't. There's nothing to be afraid of in deauthorizing everything and the reauthorizing what you actually have. You won't lose any data. Mistimp is correct, they can't tell you which computers are authorized.

  • Is there a way to password protect certain apps from being used? Example I don't want my child to access my apps while he's using his on the iPad

    Is there a way to password protect certain apps from being used? Example I don't want my child to access my apps while he's using his on the iPad. I don't want to lock him out of the iPad. Let him use Angry birds, but not Sims or Games not appropriate for him that I play.

    Sorry, but it is not possible to restrict use of specific apps other that the few restrictions provided in the Restrictions settings, not unless the app itself provides some sort of lock. If you don't want your child playing certain games, the only answer is to not load them on the iPad he uses.

  • OIM: Retrieve data from stored procedure,  pre populate it in Resource form

    Hi,
    I need to retrieve data form a stored procedure that i have created . This data needs to be per populated in the Iplanet resource from. The stored procedure will have one input string and one output string.
    Thankz,
    Sanjay Rulez

    1. Prepare OIM Admin Console to interact with an Oracle Database, by adding jdbc jar files in the lib Directory of OIM Console.
    2. Restart OIM Console and Create a database Resource
    3. Create an Pre-populate adapter Task with a "Stored Procedure" Type
    4. Invoke you Procedure.
    The main problems can be around datatype conversion between Java and Oracle database.
    For instance, all Oracle NUMBER type are mapped on java LONG type, and you need to deal every time with conevsrion between INTEGER and LONG in the adapter task.

    Where are passwords stored on my hard drive/ folder, can I access them and alter them. Can I add passwords to that file/ folder.

    Using the Saved Password Editor may be overkill for most users. The quickest way to manipulate saved passwords in Firefox is on the menu bar go to:
    Tools -> Options -> Security -> Saved Passwords -> Show Passwords

  • Want a solution for a scenario-To Set Password expiration in OID from OIM

    Hi,
    I have one scenario. Please guide me in some details to achieve this.
    I have one password policy in OIM. When user's password expires in OIM, then his password should also expire in OID. We have OID as user's repository.
    For this I have one solution but dont know how to implement this in OIM.
    "OID has the LDAP attribute called “pwdMaxAge” map this attribute to the OIM resource object and reset this value to number of days (as per password policy) whenever you change the password in OIM. This will set the password expiration time in the OID without having the password policy in place. "
    Plesae suggest.
    Thanks in advance.

    Well here is what you can do:
    - For OIM the user's password will be governed with the Xellerate User password policy, which says that password must be changed every 28 days. So you are good in handling this in OIM.
    Now for OID side, you have two options - *1. User changes OID password directly* and *2. User changes OID password through update in OIM profile password*. Most probably tou would want the second case. If true then here is what you can do.
    - As user changes the OIM password. Create automatic trigger Change User Password which updates the password in the process form of OID.
    - This invokes the Password Updated task.
    - On SUCCESS of this task, call another task which goes to OID target and updates the attribute pwdMaxAge to Current date + 28
    Thanks

  • Where are passwords stored for Safari websites

    I thought the place was the Keychain, but where else is are passwords stored?
    I have jsut done a complete reset of the keychain from keychain Access, and the passwords page shows empty
    Yet when I go to certain websites, I still get logged in automatically.
    So where are these other passwords stored?

    HI,
    The usernames and passwords are stored in the Keychain Access application but only if you have the Safari Preferences set up to do so.
    With Safari open, from the Menu Bar, click Safari / Preferences and select the AutoFill tab.
    Make sure Usernames and Passwords is selected.
    From the Finder Help Viewer...
    When you set up a user account in Mac OS X using the Accounts preferences pane, a keychain with the same password is automatically created the first time you log in to the computer. This keychain is the default keychain. When you create passwords for servers or applications, the passwords are added to this keychain.
    You may want to create an additional keychain for personal use that isn’t automatically unlocked when you log in to your user account. For example, you can create a “top secret” keychain to store notes, financial information, and any other items you want to store securely.
    To create a keychain:
    Open Keychain Access, located in the Utilites folder in the Applications folder.
    Open Keychain Access
    Choose File > New Keychain.
    Type a name for the keychain, and then click Create.
    Type a password for the keychain, and then type it again in the Verify field.
    For help choosing a good password, click the key button to the right of the Password field.
