OIM11gR2 - iPlanet Connector - iPlanet Trusted Delete User Recon Task

Hello All,
What is the standard OOTB action performed on OIM User when I run the iPlanet Trusted Delete User Recon Task?
I couldn't tell from the connector documentation below:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11223_01/doc.904/e10446/using.htm#BABIJCFF
Does it disable the OIM user?
Does it delete the OIM user? (soft delete? hard delete?)
I'm interested in soft delete.
Thanks
Adr

Apologies, My previous post was intended for end date reaching.
It just deletes the user from OIM. It does not care about end date or disable schedule jobs.
However, the user status will be set as "deleted".
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11223_01/doc.910/e11197/using_conn.htm#CACGJGGA
P.S I gave this document for AD (However, it applies to any connector document as it is basic definition of trusted source).
The basic behaviour and definition of trusted reconciliation is to delete the user identity in OIM if itis deleted in the source system.
Cheers,
Tejo.

  • Sap UM connector 9.1.2 trouble with "SAP User Management User Recon" task

    Hello All,
i have a problem with Sap UM Connector version 9.1.2.
    OIM version 11.1.1.5
    Windows 2008 R2
    Problem is:
Then accounts in Sap are created through direct provisioning feature of connector everything works ok (subsequent update or delete an account).
But if a user account is created in Sap using Sap GUI, scheduled task "SAP User Management User Recon" of connector doesn't create reconciliation event to link user.
Sometimes it does though, but for one user account created using Sap GUI in OIM created two reconciliation events, so corrsponding user in oim have two records for resource SAP.
In this reconciliation events, one have full set of attributes (Login, First Name, Last Name, E Mail, etc), another one - just these 3 attributes: IT Resource, User ID, Lock.
"SAP User Management Delete Recon" scheduled task works ok then user account has been deleted using Sap Gui.
How one can troubleshoot such behavior?
    Can anyone advise please?

resolved the issue by updating sap um connector to version 9.1.2.5

  • ADCS Delete user process task

I am very sorry to ask this question to you, But I am helpless here,
Dev team has implemented Provisioning/DeProvisioning process for AD. If user terminated, OIm first disable the user's AD account and after 21 days, its deletes the AD account. I am not able to find, how and when "ADCS delete user" task has been invoked by oim. Can any one please help me to find it out.
    Thanks.

There should be a schedule task which runs daily and check for the Termination Date for all these users, if its > 21 days then it must have been manually inserting this task in the user's AD resource profile

  • OIM 11gR2 and AD Connector 11.1.1 Lookup Recon Tasks

    Hi All,
I wonder how can I limit groups during Group and OU Lookup Recon tasks based on their distinguishedName? I tried to put a string "contains('distinguishedName','OU=xxxx')" in filter parameter for GroupLookupReconTask but it filtered everything out
We have all of our groups in a separate OU so a better solution would be to set a base dn to go and look for groups but I can't do it in LookupReconTasks as there is no such a field during lookup recon tasks.
I would appreciate any ideas how to achieve my goal.
    Thank you!

Yes, I have tried that but that didn't work as in AD you just have a name of an element in CN. Beside that OU doesn't have a CN.

  • OIM - iPlanet User Recon

I am using OIM 9.1 connectors. I was trying to reconcile users from iPlanet.
The following are the details from Task Scheduler ( iPlanet User Recon Task)
    IsIPlanetTarget     true
    TrustedSource     false
    Role     Contractor
    Organization     Xellerate Users
    ITResourceName     iPlanet User
    ResourceObjectName     Xellerate Users
    XLDeleteUsersAllowed     true
    UserContainer     ou=People,dc=test,dc=com
    NumberOfBatches     All Available
    BatchSize     0
    StartRecord     1
    Xellerate Type     End-User Administrator
And when I check my Reconiliation Manager I see the status as "Event received" for Xellerate User and "No Match Found" for iPlanet User.
And in one of the form USR_IPNT_RL
I have given a default value for USR_IPNT_RL_Role_Name : Contractor
And also i have checked the mapping in Resource Object , Process Definition for Xellerate Users
    Thanks in advance.

First of all I see some initial problems here:
    1) looks like you are trying to run a trusted recon but the value in your scheduled task attribute Trusted Source is set to false.
    2) Role must be set to "Consultant" In ootb create user form there is no role as "Contractor"
    3) I think IsIplanetTarget must be set to False. (i think thats for app recon)
Have you also defined owner matching rules i nthe design console. also you need to set the recon action rule as No match found-> create User.
    One entity Match found->establish link

  • Deleting users using GTC - CSV connector

    Hi All,
I am using GTC connector for trusted recon , create and update user functionality are working , but I am not able to delete the user using a GTC .
Any Help would be highly appreciated .
    Thanks
    Regards
    Easwaran

Lets assume we have a HR system and the user has got deleted in the system, the HR system drop a CSV file to a specified location with the details of the user to be deleted from the IDM system . Now the CSV GTC connector would need to read the record and delete the user .
This can be done , I have done this using API calls , but i assume that there would be someway of doing this using the OOB GTC .I think we need to set the correct value for the status field to do this ..
I am not sure what status to set.

  • OIM11gR2 DBAT User recon - custom UDF value not visible in User detail page

    Hi,
I have configured DBAT connector for OIM11gR2 for user recon.
Have created and mapped few custom UDFs in the GTC.
User is created successfully in OIM, and has all the values correctly in USR table for all the custom UDFS.
But when i search a user in OIM, i can not see the value of custom UDF, even though it is in the database.
I have created and activated a sandbox and also added the custom UDF in the user details page using the Design option of ADF.
Is there something I am missing related to display of custom attribute and its value on the USer details page.
    Kindly suggest.
    Regards

Yes, your UDF should be available under Manage Users->UserVo1. It is working fine with our env. make sure you have the latest version of R2 release, because Beta release had an issue for same. You can create aonther UDF and and try gain.
    verify same with below doc
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/doc.1112/e28183/oim_up.htm#BABEGECJ

  • OIM - OID Connector 9.0.4 - Incremental User Recon?

I can't see how incremental user recon is implemented in this connector. Can anyone tell me if incremental user recon is possible with this connector and if so how to configure it to perform incremental user recon? There is no documented or default scheduled task property that seems to enable / disable this. The IT Resource has a Last Recon TimeStamp that is updated on each recon, but ALL users are reconciled each time the task is run even though there are no changes to the objects. I have also looked at the "Object Initial Reconciliation Date" field in RO and setting this date to a date in the past doesn't seem to have any impact.
My OID install is 10.1.4.2 and my OIM install is 9.1.

Although the documentation does not make any mention of it AT ALL, you need to add modifytimestamp to the ldapTargetResourceTimeStampField in the recon lookup attribute map. The modifytimestamp attribute in OID then needs to be indexed so that it can be used in the LDAP search the connector makes.

  • How to reconcile deleted users with GTC

    Hi all,
I'm wandering wich is the best approach to perform reconciliation of deleted users using GTC connector. (It doesn't concile it by default, does it?).
I don't know if it's a bad idea to mark the deletion in the target table row (setting a value in a column) and revoke the user through an Entity Adapter. Should it be better to develop a custom Scheduled Task for this?
    Any tip will be considered!
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
Yes I run both Schedule task as "time-programmed" . I usually run creation task first and then it is followed by delete recon task.
I am not fully understanding what do you mean by starting GTC generated task automatically? Please give me more insight before I comment on this.
For delete recon you need to do following
    HashMap userValues[];
    userValues = null;
    userValues=createDeleteHashMap(results);
    Set deletedAcc = reconUtil.provideDeletionDetectionData(resourceObject, userValues);
    missingUser = reconUtil.getMissingAccounts(resourceObject, deletedAcc);
    long reconEvent[] = reconUtil.deleteDetectedAccounts(missingUser);
Here userValues is array of Hashmap which have all the non revoked user.
    So your steps should be.
1.Query the table wich store all active users and store them in an array of hashmap
    2.Pass it to provideDeletionDetectionData method.
3.pass step 2 result set to getMissingAccounts method.
4.Pass step 3 result set to deleteDetectedAccounts.
Alternatively you do following. If in your query you can find out which user is deleted and if you are oim9.1 then follow these steps.
1.Query the table and get revoked/deleted user and store then in a hashmap.
2.Use createDeleteReconciliationEvent(java.lang.String psObjName, java.util.Map poAttributeList) to create the delete reconciliation event.
First approach is bit risky because if somehow in your table or view all the record are delete or revoked or by any error GTC connector did not find any record then it will revoked all the user from OIM which can lead to disaster as you are doing trusted recon.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
    Regards
    Nitesh

  • OIM-OID Connector: OID Group Recon Task and organizations

    Hi,
I'm evaluating OIM and its OID Connector.
We have groups in our existing OID. We thought that we could use the OID Connector OID Group Recon Task to import those groups into OIM and make them Groups in OIM.
However, when we run the task, it appears to import our groups from OID as organizations, not as groups. It's not clear to me from the OID Connector documentation what exactly the OID Group Recon task is supposed to do. That's why we assumed it was an OOTB method for reconciling OID groups into OIM groups.
What are we doing wrong? Why do we end up with our OID Groups becoming OIM Organizations after running the task?
We are using version 9.4.11 of the OID Connector.
Also, a side issue: how can we delete unwanted organizations from OIM? There's a delete option but it just seems to mark the organizations as deleted but they are still there.
    Thanks
    Eric

    Hi,
I am also facing the similar issue. I want to reconcile OID groups into OIM User Groups menu item. Please suggest how to proceed.

I want to bring OID groups into OIM so that I can manager those OID groups from OIM. Is there any other way to so this? I have to make changes in the OID object class or in the OID field mappings? I have not done any changes in Lookup OID configuration or LookUp Field map parameters.

  • Modifying delete user adapter for OIM

    hi,
I need to modify the delete user adapter for iPlanet and not deprovision a resource based on the value of a UDF field ( if the value is true, then the account is revoked; and if the value is false, the account is not revoked).
I have been able to add an if condition to the iPlanet Delete User adapter using the adapter factory. And have mapped the value of UDF to a adapter variable. Now, the user is not deleted when the value of UDF is true.
But the "System Validation" and "Create" user show task status as "Cancelled" when i view the users resource profile. I want to know, where and how these two are cancelled when we revoke a account. As , this is not letting me revoke an account later, even after I set the value of UDF as "false".
    Kindly guide me through this.
    Thanks,
    AJ.

    Hi,
    Please do the Following things:
    1. In your Delete User task remove the existing adapter and put new process adapter which either that UDF has value True or False. If the UDF has True value then it return Yes and if UDF has False then return No.
    2. Create new task called Revoke User Access this task will have the adatper which was in Delete User task which you have removed.
    3. Delete User task will be triggered as you press Revoke button or at Deprovisioning Date.
    4. Revoke User Access task will be tirggered on Yes response of your Deleter User task and Revoke the user account form the Resource.
    5. Go the Undo/Recovery tab of your Delete User task and remove all the task which are under Undo Task Name tab.
    6. Now, if you want to cancel the user Create User task (Ideally it should be there) when user get deleted form resource add these task to Undo/Recovery tab of your Revoke User Access task.
Let me know if you have any query for the same....

  • Cannot remove deleted user from people picker - SharePoint Foundation 2010

So I think I've read all the people picker articles here and I can't find a solution so I thought I'd start a new thread. Here is the issue:
A user was deleted from Active Directory and removed from SharePoint Foundation 2010. The user was still showing in the People Picker within the site collection, so we have performed a few things to try and get rid of this user.
    User is deleted from AD
User is deleted from SharePoint Site Collection
    Have tried stsadm -o deleteuser
Have removed all mention of this user from UserInfo table
    User does NOT show in
    https://<SiteCollectionURL/_layouts/people.aspx?MembershipGroupId=0
Cannot find any mention of this user anywhere.
Ran a full crawl as we read on a forum somewhere that it might help.
If I try and add the user back to SharePoint I get "The user does not exist or is not unique"
If I try "stsadm -o deleteuser -userlogin DOMAIN\USER -url https://<sitecollectionurl>" I get "The user does not exist or is not unique"
I am not sure what else I can try now. Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Vinny
    Vinny

No other domain trusts that this user could be in.
Just so everyone can stop with the warnings, we do NOT regularly delete users from the UserInfo table and fully are aware of the problems behind it, which is why it is so rarely done. But at times, you have to do what you have to do to help a customer, you
know? This one user is the only one that was removed from the UserInfo table, but there are a few other users that are also deleted (from SharePoint, not manually from UserInfo) that are still showing as well. This one user included.
There MUST be another place that the people picker gets it's information from. ALL of the user's old information still shows in the people picker (username, email address, display name), and yet none of that information exists anywhere other than in the
People Picker. Mailbox is gone from Exchange, User deleted from SharePoint, User deleted from Active Directory. Is there no cache someone could point me towards that People Picker might store information in.

  • Issue while deleting user defined field in oim 11.1.1.3

    All,
Made a mistake while creating user defined field called "Profile for" (loing to OIM -> advanced -> configuration -> User configuration). We are trying to delete it. It appears to get deleted from user attributes screen. But when we run LDAP User Create and Update Reconciliation Task we get the following error below:
oracle.iam.ldapsync.exception.ProcessLDAPReconDataException: oracle.iam.ldapsync.exception.ReconEventCreationException: Thor.API.Exceptions.tcAPIException: Profile for - LDAPUser object does not exists for resource object
Is any thing else need to be deleted adn cleaned up?
    thanks in advance,
    Prasad.

How do i check what resource object the recon task is running against. here is what i found so far.
I cannot find LDAPUser resource object when i query Resource Management -> Resource Objects in design console. Same thing with Manage Resource and search (here i only find Xellerate User, Xellerate Organiztion, USERS_GTC, and Installation) in OIM advanced administration menu.
The LDAP User Create and Update Reconciliation job itself has the following parameters (batch size, last change number, OIM employee type, OIM User organization name, OIM user type)
I also decompiled LDAPUserChangesReconTask and it is looking for LDAPUser metadata from MDS directly.

    any idea?? thnks..!

    Hi!
I found the bug in metalink "Bug 10041190 GTC Recon Failed With new OIM UDF Attribute Map If Attribute Name Has Space"
The workaround is: Don't use UDF's with a space in the attribute name.
This issue is fixed in 11.1.1.3.2
    Thanks,
    Ariel
