OK, I have just changed nameservers but when I go to the new site I am redirected to the old. This only happens with FireFox and Chrome on my computer.

Everyone else can see the new site.. but when I punch the website address into Firefox... I am redirected to the odd site.
Now I have flushed the DNS (ipconfig /flushDNS) and I have cleared the cache, cookies and everything I can possibly clean I have...but it still redirects.
So there is something I am not doing above all that, that I need to do... any ideas what it is.
I have also gone into FireFox config and changed the network.dnsCacheExpiration as the preference name to 0

Do you want to try bypassing your ISP by changing DNS servers? You could try OpenDNS or Google Public DNS. One way to change this is at the Windows level (in the TCP/IP properties dialog), and another is in your router. Something more temporary would be to change your IE connection settings (I think it's under LAN Settings). However, the details are beyond what I can look up at the moment.

I called Apple and they said that they know about this problem. It's a problem with iCloud which their Engineers know about. (there was a new iCloud release, hence...) No ETA for a fix yet. I asked that this be escalated so Engineering doesn't put it at the bottom of their fix list. I talked to a Senior Advisor and mentioned to them to have QA check their regression tests as this has happened before to me (the problem just didn't take this long to resolve). I like to use green too for important stuff, so I've resorted to creating a new calendar using the normal calendar green for events going forward. They could have picked another color besides green to have this problem with and I wouldn't have been so upset. ;-)

I can't see the bar which contains play, stop button on Youtube. Help me!!! Just happen with firefox and chrome after install DivX and I had removed DivX.

I had installed DivX and it includes DivX Web player but, when i remove it, the problem happend. When I click on a video, the bar which contains play, stop... buttons is there. But when the video nearly play, it disapears. The problem just happen with Firefox and Chrome, but it doesn't mean with IE. I'm sorry, but your sister, unless she had already turned on the "Find my iPhone" feature and the person who took the phone has not disabled it, is out of luck. She should report the theft to local police authorities, including the serial number of her iPhone. While her experience is unfortunate, there are good reasons why Apple cannot do anything else about it.

To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step.

How can I prevent my screen getting covered with black and white lines while working on the internet which only happens with firefox and only go when I 'go back' or go down a page?

It happens as I surf - horizontal black and white lines particularly when I scroll down and only goes if I can go to a new page or go back a page. It is driving me crazy and only happens with firefox. I have disabled all plug ins but it still happens.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

When i try to run Firefox i get a error message "cannot run unicode version of ATL80.dll install ANSI" this only happens with firefox,internet explorer, Opera and everything else run fine, have re-installed firefox but still the same. run fine.

I had this problem as well. I found that somehow the firefox.exe file had been set to run in compatibility mode for Windows 95.
To check this on your system Browse to the firefox folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) and right click on the file "firefox.exe".
Select "Properties" and then the "Compatibility" tab. Make sure the option "Run this program in compatibility mode for" is UNCHECKED.
Then try running Firefox as normal. Worked for me.

When I started up my browser today all of my bookmarks were gone. This only happened on Firefox and not my other browsers. Can they be restored?

I have no idea what has happened to my bookmarks. The computer was turned On so that I could have it run its normal virus scan which was clean. The unit was powered off for several hours and after I start up the computer to do some work I tried to look up a reference in my bookmarks and they were all gone. Can they be restored?

When I respond to an email (through hotmail), the initial email does not appear in my response. This does not happen with internet explorer where I can see the email I am answering. I would like this to happen with Firefox. It used to.

For your own viewing, you can of course control-click on the attachment and select "View as Icon".
For others' viewing, it depends upon their email reader. To ensure that attachments are not displayed expicitly you can put them all in a zip file (via control click and "Compress") then attaching them, or you can use third party stuff like Attachment Tamer.

When I try to access websites that I've stored on my local server via MAMP, Firefox only says that "It works". This only happens in Firefox.

I recently upgraded to Mac OS X Yosemite on my desktop and laptop. Due to this upgrade, I was having trouble accessing websites that I was running on my local host server via MAMP. I reinstalled an updated version of MAMP 3.0.7.2 and reset my Apache and MySQL ports, but now when I try to access my local host server on Firefox, rather than showing my index of sites, I only get the message "It works!". This only happens in Firefox. I can access my files in Safari, Opera and Chrome, but not Firefox. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a quick update on my original question. I have now discovered that if I type localhost/"the name of one of my websites", Firefox automatically goes to the index page of this site. eBay support told me it is because they think I am in France or because I am using a French ISP. I am in London and am using the British ISP, Bethere. What can I do to convince them that I am in England?

It can't be a problem with my ISP or my IP address since it only happens with Firefox. When I try out the same listings with other browsers it doesn't happen. eBay said Firefox must be making it seem as though I am in France. Goodness knows how or why??
