Okay so my ipod touch ran out of battery and its been stuck   What should i do?

my ipod has been stuck on that swirly loading screen for hous. Ive tried to turn it off that didnt work. i charged it for like 3 hours that didnt work what should i do?

- Try a reset.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Then connect to your computer and try to restore via iTunes.
- Next see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow a restore. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
- After that see if DFU mode will allow a restore.

- If the loading screen is still showing let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try the above again.
