Old/new field values in CDPOS

Hi
I have two changes logged to material master record. However when I viewed these changes in CDHDR and CDPOS I couldnt see the Old and New values. I mean there was an entry for each of these changes but old value & new value fields in CDPOS were blank.
I have checked the data elements and they have 'Change Document' checked.
Any suggestions?

Hi
Problem solved. It was just a display problem with CDPOS-VALUE_NEW and CDPOS-VALUE_OLD when changed field is type QUAN.
Please refer to OSS note 575851

  • New Field value not displayed in "My own activities" of CRM 5.0 Own tab

    Hi.
I have a scenario where in we have added a new field to "My open activities" in CRM 5.0 Own tab.
However the value of the field for various transactions is getting displayed only for one particular user and not for all the users.
what may be the reason for this?!!!!!!
The only user who is getting the output properly, the user ID of his was replication based on similar roles to check whether it was issue related with roles. But the output was not obtained even with the replicated user ID.
Hence the output continues to come only for one particular user in all the systems.
Kindly request to provide some inputs / suggestions at the earliest.
    Thanks and regards.

Is aanyone able to help with this?
    Thanks

  • Audit prev and new field values

We have a need to on certain transactions e.g. VA02 to capture field level changes for purposes of audit and control.  The Document History for these transactions just displays that a change was made and by whom.  We would like more granular logging that would capture the field value before the change and the new value.  Are there any SAP out-of-the-box options for us?
    Much Thanks,
    Greg

    HI Greg,
just check if AUT01 is helpful where u can try to configure logging for such fileds and the report in AUT10 can be more useful.. just an input ...as it shd be helpful in ur search ..

  • How to adde New Language field value in CRM Business Partner Language Field

    Dear all,
How can we add a new field value to the Business Partner Language field in CRM and ECC systems.
Your suggestions will be highly appreciated
    Thanks
    Sravanthi

    Hi Shravanthi,
You would need to add the new language to table T002. Once this is done, it will appear in the drop down menus.

    Hi Madhuri,
For error message "Definition CRM_BTX_ADD_NEW_FIELDS is of the type 'TSK' and should run on an external system. This is not permissible. Only definitions of type 'SEQ' may be created for external systems."
    - Check SAP Market Place for any notes on "CRM_BTX_ADD_NEW_FIELDS"
1 in web ui to display these new fields do we need to write a program
    - No need to write any program to display new fields in WEB UI. Using the EEWB will automatically create code behind the screens. All new fields created will be available in base table (example: for business partner - BUT000). You can explore the fields available functionality in WEB UI to populate them
    2. new field values are stored in table do we need to create any table ?
    - No, EEWB will automatically creates customized structure in code behind the screens
    3. do we need to write any program so that the values will be stored in tht table?
    - No, I don't know how to add values to the particular field(s) but sure that you don't need to write any program to store the values in customized tables

  • BP new field update is not possible

    Hi Experts,
I work in CRM 4.0 which is connected to R/3. I have created a new BP field with EEWB. I would like to replicate this field into a standard R/3 field.
Without any enhancement the new field is replicated in "Insert" mode but in "Update" the replication does not work.
I discovered two problems in R/3. The exchange structure does not contain the new field and the BP does not exist in R/3 BUT000 after creation.
In "Update" mode the system searches for BP in R/3 BUT000.
Finally I extended the exchange structure in R/3 and if I create a new BP it will be created in R/3 even in R/3 BUT000 and during "Update" the new field value will be updated.
My only problem is that I have 100.000 BP's in the systems which were created without the enhanced R/3 structure and the update of the new field content is not possible. The R/3 BUT000 does not contains these 100.000 BP's.
Do you have any idea how to solve this issue?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi Thomas,
I would have liked to reply you back earlier on, but  I was able to see my points only today.
1 How to manipulate Bapi to load it. Please select your Bapi which refer to the proper object in trx CODE Bapi. Then talk to your developper to create the right program to load the missing data, supposedly able to manage files (better a txt file).
Next monday if you wish I may send you documentation concerning Bapi, if you give me your e-mail
    2. How to upload to your backend the changes of Bps. There is an envent you need to associate to your object Bupa in administration CONSOLE - DATA EXCHANGE. It is explained in the Best practise manual called Replication.
Please refer to my attached thread to find out the manual in the Best Practise Crm for your version:
    Re: Download Conditions from R3
Then, if this doesn't work, check if the function module in charge of uploading the changes is working, by putting a Breakpoint in the FM associate to your object Bupa in Business object in administration console.
<b>Please reward with points if it helps.</b>

  • New field in documents item posts - FBxx

    Hi,
Does anyone know any exit that allows us to add a new field to the account line for the next item ( in the bottom of the screen ) in documents posting FB01, and other transactions that allows us to post documents in FI ?
And, if yes, if it is possible to fill other field of that line accornding to the new field value ?
    Thanks,
    Paulo Sousa

    Hi,
If anyone can help me about this question. The problem is the customer is a multionational company, and in Portugal they have orders to use the Char of Account of the group as main Chart of Account, and the Portuguese Chart of account as alternative chart of account. But the portuguese people want to post documents using the portuguese chart of account.
If anyone have any idea, of how to add a field in the screen and fill the contents of RF05A-NEWKO according the contents of the new field, i'll appreciate the help.
Also, if someone knows any other way to do what the customer pretends, i'll also appreciate.
I'll understand if no solution is given, as myself also think there's no exits that allows to do that change, but i need to confirm it to the customer.
    Thanks is advance,

  • CRM - Add New Field in Competitor Product Screen

We are looking for the right way to enhance the competitor product screen (object prod_cp) in CRM 7.0. We have explored several options and we would like to have a confirmation that we selected the right option for the CRM level we are on now. We checked enhancement options via eewb and aet. However, in transaction axtreg there are 129 objects that can be enhanced but object prod_cp is not part of that list so I assume both tools mentioned cannot be used to enhance the competitor product screen (we want to add new fields and put business logic behind it). Is this a correct conclusion? I based the conclusion on post below:
    AET enhancement capabilities
Found a OSS note 1088910  which looks like something we could use instead in CRM 7.0:
appl enhancement          component view for customer
    Competitor products (PRDCP)     PRDCPOV/CustomHeader
    Is this correct?
If this is not correct, how can we enhance the competitor product screen without changing the sap standard code (like append a Z structure to table comm_product_idx and then....are there any enhancement sports for this screen where we can add our custom code?). Do we have to use the framework enhancement concept?
Also found OSS note 1448299 that provides information about business functions for the Application Enhancement Tool (AET) in SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP CRM 7.0 and I saw that we will be able to enhance the competitor product screen as soon as we have upgraded to Ehp 1 just by switching on business function crm_inf_1. Is that correct?
    Rgds,
    Josephine

    Hi Josephine,
You can enhance any standard CRM 7.0 component. follow this wiki on how to enhance standar CRM7.0 components
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/HowtoGuide-EnhancingtheUIinCRM+7.0
You have two options to add new field to the competitor product screen
    1. Using AET. Application Enhancement Tool, require very limited technical knowledge and i believe even function person can add a new field on the webui screen using AET. Search sdn with AET and you will find lot of information.
    2. Create a z table with the new field value and product id (unique key).
Create a value node in the standar component.
On load of the webui screen fetch the details of the new field from the ztable and display it
On the save of the webui screen if the value of the new field has changed update the z table.

  • How to add field value to the standard table

    Hi,
How to add field value to the standard table?
    for example:
when we go to TCODE SE16-> VBAK table -> on the selection screen if we press F4 against VBTYP we get all the available values for that field. How to add a new document Category value to this field so that it shows up in F4 help for that field.

    Hi Asif,
I don't think it is possible and feasible for adding new field value to the field VBTYP because it is not possible through SPRO.
If u see the domain of this field VBTYP we have fixed values provided by SAP. There is no value table for this. If u have value table then it will be updated through SPRO. But still if u really want to add some value u can do that by getting access key and add the value in the fixed values of the domain. But of no use other than simply displaying in F4. Because for what ever value u created here there will be no documents in VBAK or any table using this domain.
Hope this is clear for u.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

  • Process to add  new field to Account screen and update value from R/3...

We have CRM 7 and just wanted to ask what the process would be to add a new field to the Accounts screen. This field will be a read-only field and we'll source its value from R/3, based on some of the other data entered into the Accounts screen.
What exactly is involved in this process?.
I think I can use the new Application Enhancement Tool instead of EEWB to create the new field, but how does one identify which structure/table to change for say the 'Accounts' data, and, where does one place the code which populates this field, and, once the structure has been changed how do I physically add the field to the screen. I should be okay with reaching out to R/3 and populating the data, code-wise, but again wondered if there was anything inbuilt to do this, bearing in mind the closeness and constant access to R/3 from CRM.
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Jason,
If you use EEWB or AET,, there is nothing manual you have to do, the fields will be added to all related tables and structures plus UI too.
May be sometimes you have to run the UI configration tool to add the field to the UI, again this is just a tool, there is not manual coding required.
you can enter the value for the fields direclty via UI, BUT if it is a display only field, at the time of save, you have to write couple of line to populate this field ( see set_property( ) method in the context node ).
    Thats it...

  • New COPA Value field not populating in BW

We created a NEW value field (VV0056) in SAP COPA that is NOT pulling manual journal entries into BW (document types AB and SA). All other value fields are pulling in all document types and balance to SAP u2013 itu2019s this new one that is not.  We do not have any restrictions on selection of data coming into BW.
The manual journal entry is in our CE1* table in R/3.
We are still 3.x data loading in our BW 7 system.
Any ideas on what to look for?  Your input is greatly appreciated.
    Renee Mercede

    Hi Renee
The new fields that has been added must be either in the COPA table or the corresponding datasource.
If it is added in the table
    1) You need to enhance the corresponding datasource with a z-field that wiill represent the field added in the table.
    2) This field will have to be populated through an ABAP routine.
    3) Check the populated field values in RSA3.
    4) Replicate the datasource in BW.
    5) Create infoobject for the enhanced field.
    6) Add infoobject in the corresponding BW data targets.
    7) Change transformations / UR's - TR's.
    8) Extract data.
If it is added in the datasource - which means you know from which base table this field needs to be populated.
Carry out steps (2) to (8) from above.
    Cheers
    Umesh
