Hi,
The missing accounts in the Simulation means that the G/L accounts has not been assigned for any transaction keys for ex BSX,BSV,GBB
You need to assign the G/L accounts in OBYC for the transaction keys which you selected on the OBYC screen then against the Valuation class you need to assign the related G/L accounts usually this process is done by FI/CO consultant along with MM consultant.
In your case the Purchase offsetting account which has transaction key GBB is missing.
check the account and assign the G/L account with the help of FI Consultant.

  • OMWB transaction key Issue

    Dear All,
As per our customer's requirements we have created a new transaction/event key & assigned the same in existing Cal.Schema. The G/L A/C for the new trans key is also defined in OBYC.
After all the these when we Checked in OMWB transaction - G/L accounts tab then both transaction key as well as the G/L which  we assigned to the new  transaction is not displayed..
So can anyone provide some inputs on why the system is not displaying the newly created G/L & transaction key in OMWB - G/L Accounts tab ?
Thanks in advance &  Have a Nice Day!
    Regards,

    Hi Kishore,
Thanks a lot for the reply.
As you suggested I have checked in T030 table & I can find a entry there with values for Chart of A/Cs, Trans Key & G/L A/C. (Since in OBYC I have specified my G/L A/C for trans key with ref to Posting key only)
So the fields - Val grouping code, valuation class & Acct modifier are blank for the above entry.
Now even if there is an entry in the above table the transaction key & G/L A/C is not displayed in OMWB - G/L A/C tab.
    Hope its clear.
    Awaiting your reply..

  • Cannot run the bcp_extract.bat  file OMWB created

    Hello Everyone,
I am working on transferring data offline using the OMWB.
In OMWB ORACLE Model pane, i selected a user schema object, a table, and i chose Object<Generate SQL*Loader script.
Now that i was able to find my bcp_extract.bat file, i copied the contents of the directory where OMWB generated the data unload scripts onto the computer that my source database, SQL SERVER 7, is installed.
Per OMWB documentation, I modified the bcp_extract.bat file to include the source database Server Name. And I did remove the angle brackets as well. I double clicked the bcp_extract.bat file and a command window poped up and went down immediately. No data file was generated nor anything was added to the sql_load_script.bat file in the Oracle directory that was creatd by the Generate SQL*Loader Scripts.
Is there any other information that i need to modify/add in order to be able to run the bcp_extract.bat file. In fact, i thought about adding the password after -P switch and see if i can run the file, but after adding the password i still could not get the bcp_extract.bat file running.
I appreciate if someone can help me out to get the bcp_extract.bat file running.
    Thank you so much!

    Hi Donald,
    Thanks for your reply.
"ROGER"."ABB_FILE"."ABB04" means in user "ROGER" schema, have a table "ABB04", and have a column named "ABB04".
So the column's name is "ABB04", not exceed 30 characters.
The table's description in Informix as follows:
    create table "roger".abb_file
    abb00 char(2),
    abb01 char(12),
    abb02 smallint,
    abb03 char(24),
    abb04 char(30),
    abb05 char(6),
    abb06 char(1),
    abb07 decimal(16,3) not null ,
    abb08 char(10),
    abb11 char(15),
    abb12 char(15),
    abb13 char(15),
    abb14 char(15),
    abb15 char(4)
And the table in Oracle's description:
    CREATE TABLE "ROGER"."ABB_FILE"
         "ABB00" VARCHAR2(2),
         "ABB01" VARCHAR2(12),
         "ABB02" NUMBER(5),

  • OMWB 10.1.0.2 Ms Access to Oracle strange migration of Indexes

    Hi
I am migrating from MS Access 2000 to Oracle 10g with OMWB 10.1.0.2 .
My Access source model has 123 indexes in it.
1.The Access source model is creating index for the same column of the same table and names it like ~~temp~index~name0 for some indexes
2.In some cases the index is created again in the source model for the same column of the same table with just the UNIQUE ,NON UNIQUE property differing.
3.Is it necessary to migrate indexex to oracle?
4.How the non-migration of indexes would affect the database performance?
Can anyone help me on this issue?
    Thanks.

    Hi Vinod,
To assist in resolving your issue, I would firstly recommend that you carry out the following steps on the MDB file you wish to export:
    1. Analyze the objects in your .mdb file using the Documenter facility in Microsoft Access. From the menu bar, select Tools, Analyze, Documenter, and then select the objects (for example, tables or queries) for analysis. Remove or resolve any erroneous objects.
    2. Ensure the application contains no missing references. Launch the design IDE (use the Alt+F11 keys), and from the menu bar, select Tools, References. Remove or resolve any missing references.
    3. Ensure the application compiles successfully. In the IDE view, select Debug, Compile from the menu bar. Resolve any reported errors.
    4. Carry out a compact and repair on the database, using the Tools, Database Utilities, Compact and Repair Database menu option.
    5. Ensure that all linked tables are valid links. Using the Tools, Database Utilities, Linked Table Manager menu option, verify that all links are up to date and pointing to an existing .mdb file that is not read-only.
If you still experience issues using the exporter tool, please supply the following information:
    * Operating System
    * Service Pack version
    * MS Access version installed
    * Version of MDB file to be exported
In your posting you mention the fact that the tool extracts the table data, generating a file with a .DAT extension for each table extracted. This is the expected behaviour of the tool. I would recommend that you read the documentation that accompanies the release, namely the Oracle Migration Workbench Exporter for Microsoft Access online help, and also the Oracle Migration Workbench User's Guide, to give you an understanding of how the tools work.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Hilary

  • OMWB Sybase Version ? to Oracle Version ? & Migration Verifer

The documentation states that OMWB will migrate schemas and data from Sybase 11 or 12 to Oracle. My question is what versions are covered? There is a considerable difference between the various version of Sybase 12. My extact migration plan would be move structures and data from a Sybase 12.5.2 server on Solaris 8 to an Oracle 10g R2 server on Solaris 10. I was planning to follow up the migration with the Migration Verifier, but I do not know if it can cover these versions.

12.5 is supported by the Oracle Migration Workbench so you should be fine with this.

  • OMWB schema prefix (MS SQL Server to Oracle database migration)

I made automatical migration + some manual changes (pipelined functions) to migrate MS SQL 2000 database to Oracle 9i. Still one issue remains which requires lot of manual conversion : Names of the tables in views after automatic migration doesn't contain schema prefix and it doesn't compile on destination database.
My question is: Is there any way to add schema prefix to table names in views automatically during migration process ?

    Two things here.
The omwb will login to Oracle and create the views in the schema where they will be stored, hence not needing the schema appended.
If the views are on other schemas than the one being installed into, then yes, there may be some manual edits to do to the table names in the views. This is not configurable today.

I am converting a SQLServer 7 database to Oracle 8.1.7.
As soon as the Oracle model creation process gets to Mapping tables, the OMWB hangs and has to be killed off.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Here is the error log.

First of all I would suggest that you upgrade to the latest version of the Migration Workbench.
http://otn.oracle.com/software/tech/migration/workbench/content.html Oracle Migration Workbench Release 2.0.2.0.0 for Windows
This relase of the Migration Workbench was bundled with Oracle9i dependencies, however it will migrate to Oracle 8.1.7.
The hanging issue you are currently getting may concern table names with spaces in them.
If this does not work please send an email to [email protected] and include your error.log.
    hope this helps

    4)preparing data migration :
-generating data unload scripts and sql*loader control files
-creating the data files : this is the step where i had blocked
==>i copied the content of the directory generated by omwb(containin data unload scripts)
==>edit the bcp_extract file by enternin' the name of the sqlserver runnin on win XP
