Once I've created my folio how do I publish it?

Hi, I've ceated a folio for a client and I'm awaiting approval. Once I get the approval the client will expect me to publish the folio. I've not published a folio so I'm trying to learn how to do this and what it involves. This way I hope I can do this without any problems and not run the risk of letting the client down.
I'm aware that this involves a "certificate" and that I need an "Adobe dedeloper ID", I think? Also that I need to submit the folio to Adobe and these needs to pass some knid of test. As you can see I'm very unclear on this part.
The problem I have is that I'm unable to test this process without actually publishing the app. Are there any tutorials on this or can anybody explain this process to me. I'm keen to learn!!! Thanks

Great, now if you are creating a multi issuer app, Publish as Publc, use the same id as title id in Viewer Builder.

I've created a fillable form from a Word document, but how do I save and re-use a a fillable form once I have created it? It is a form I will use for multiple medical patients, printing out the filled in form to put in paper chart (no need to save filled out form), and then fill blank form again for another patient? - I just got acrobat X

    Thanks!
That should also save the blank form for future re-use, right.?
Can I also file the blank form in the file system, and then retrieve it as a blank form when I have a next patient need for it?
    Thanks

  • How do you load a pdf file to your computer once its been created

how do you load a pdf file to your computer once its been created

    Hello there,
Once you have created a PDF file with Acrobat.com, this file will live in your file organizer; if you select the file, you will have the option to download it. You can do this either while viewing the document (by clicking the "Download" button in the top menu bar) or from your organizer (hovering over the file name, you will see a little arrow; click it, and in the resulting menu choose "Download"). In both cases, you will be prompted to choose the location on your computer to which to save the file. Once you have chosen a spot, the file will be saved there.
Please let me know if you need any more information on this process.
    Best,
    Rebecca

  • How can I Publish to a Folder just one of the several websites I have created using iWeb?

How can I Publish to a Folder just one of the several websites I have created using iWeb?
it drives me nuts having to emove all the other websites when I want to upload one.
    Sparrow

For iWeb, I like to do only one site per domain file.  I move domain files out of the Application Support folder and place them inside project or client folders, or in DropBox. Once you duplicate a domain file and begin customizing it, it will load and behave as a separate project/site.
I publish each iWeb domain/project direct to a server via FTP. Sometime I publish to a folder, then upload via FTP manually.
iWeb is a remarkable tool, especially when you work from scratch with blank tamplates

  • Create unlimited folios today with InDesign CS5 and 5.5!

    Adobe's official statement
    http://blogs.adobe.com/digitalpublishing/2011/10/create-unlimited-folios-today-with-indesi gn-cs5-5.html
    Did you know…
Customers with InDesign CS5 and CS5.5 can now create an unlimited number of .folio files for no additional charge.
You already know that InDesign CS5 and CS5.5 integrate with Adobe Digital Publishing Suite to allow customers to publish apps to tablet devices such as the iPad, Xoom and PlayBook. But for InDesign CS5 and CS5.5 customers who are interested in creating content for tablet devices but are not yet customers, it is now easier than ever to try digital publishing before making the financial investment in the Digital Publishing Suite solution that meets your needs.
InDesign CS5 and CS5.5 customers can now:
Create an unlimited number of .folio files in InDesign
Preview them on Adobe Content Viewer  – including interactivity – to see how they will render when published to a tablet device
Share them with colleagues or clients on a 1:1 basis via the Adobe Content Viewer
Further, customers can now access the Folio Producer Service in the Digital Publishing Suite with a valid Adobe ID to manage and edit their .folio files. All of this can be done before purchasing Digital Publishing Suite.
If you are interested in learning how to create an App directly from InDesign CS5 or CS5.5, without writing code or depending on a developer, feel free to try it. You can pitch ideas to your client or your boss; or you can build a portfolio of your work and preview it on a tablet device. Practice makes perfect, and with an unlimited number of .folios, you can practice as much as you want! When you’re ready to publish to an app store, you can select the Digital Publishing Suite solution that is right for you.

I'm sorry EvBurk, what you want is intended not to work.
All Adobe's promotional material concerning InDesign and Digital Publishing (including the above "official statement") carefully uses verbs like "create" or "produce". But they never mention "distribute" or "spread", without explicitly referring to their exclusive hosting services. The whole Folio thing (in contrast to the former "issue" format) revolves around not giving you any chance of physically exporting, managing or owing the folio file itself. It's always somewhere on Adobe's or Apple's servers, or on your iPad, which is also as shut as a vault. So there's no way to export a folio file and toss it around like a pdf or jpeg. All you can do (without a paid distribution) is "share" your folio with some others, under the idea of "testing" and "reviewing". But this can be a cumbersome method. And even when paid (for the app), it's still difficult to distribute it outside Apple's or Android's market.
More than a year ago (in the middle of the Flash-on-iOS debate) Adobe users, developers, bloggers, and evangelists heavily criticized Apple's "walled garden". Adobe literally stated "We Love Apple - What we don't love is anybody taking away your freedom to choose what you create, how you create it, and what you experience on the web." Well, you could say now: "I love Adobe, but what I don't love is Adobe taking away my freedom to own my files, and distribute them on my own terms." They let us create, but not spread our ideas. It's like giving you a typewriter and copier, that only works with Adobe stock paper. Like giving you a voice and an instrument, but only allowing you to sing and play in some walled gardens (dress code: Apple ID) or secluded shed (invitation only).
I really wonder why they so fiercely protect 'their' Folio file. Why do they either have to be "under protection" or be turned into apps? I understand why Apple wants and needs to curate apps, but they don't mind me spreading my own ePubs, mp3 or jpegs. Why doesn't Adobe let me put my folio's on my own server, or send them off to someone with my own preferred service? The Content Viewer could easily be an Acrobat-like reader and let the iPad open folio's (by web links or mail enclosures) into it. If I see how many questions, worries, and problems creators and users have due to this whole closed technique and business, it would be easier to just let go and see what happens. Is it money? Of course it is. But my guess is that Adobe would eventually benefit more from it.
So I hope Adobe declares the Folio as an "open" standard soon, but they're definitely not in that stage. Maybe the specification of the file format just isn't ready yet. Maybe some managers need to remember again how to "Spread the Love"...

  • How do you publish a second issue in a multi folio DPS app?

For a free folio is it really as easy as the following?
1.) Go to DigitalPublishing.acrobat.com and click on folio Producer
2.) Click on the Folio and click the Publish Button
3.) Select the options as "Public" & "Free"
4.) Enter The Product ID and Hit Publish
Do you sign in with the new PRODUCT ID that you've created for the second issue?
How far in advance can you schedule the publishing of an app?
Is there no waiting period after submitting the app to APPLE?

Yes, it's that simple for free apps. Just publish it as public and free—and use a DIFFERENT product ID such as com.company.app.issue—and it will be available.

  • How to use once SC in Another SC, and How use one DC in another DC

    Hi all,
I am new to DC and SC's concetp.
we have got two  abc.sca  and xyz.sca files which contains  some DC's kind of the functionality. So, now we need to create new SC called MyComp.sca and i need to create one new DC caleed "display_dc" in this.
So this DC need to call the DC's which are available in the above .sca files. how to build this.
How to use once .sca file in another.
How to call dc from another sca of the dc.
how to use from one dc to another dc.
do i need to define the depency in the SLD when i am create the new SCA with using SCA files.?
    REgards
    Vijay

I will try to give you a place to begin...
SC are Software Components. Think of them as development products, like MS Word or Adobe Reader. They include sets of DCs, development components. DCs are smaller units, like programs and libraries in the SCs.
Software architects define SCs in SLD and also define two types of dependencies between them:
    - build time (required to compile and build)
    - runtime (required during execution)
SCs themselves are "buckets" for DCs, so dependencies between SCs describe dependencies between DCs they include. Think of that the same way as we we say "SAP Visual Admin (SC) depends on JDK (SC)". It means that swing apps of Visual admin (DCs) need java classes packaged in JDK (DCs).
    This will help:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/42/d27865d006136ae10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
DCs interact between themselves by exposing "public parts" (SAP webdynpro terminology), allowing one DC to access objects of another DC.
Here it explained in more details:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/62/06108b6af0264a9a5393fd787ea3c9/frameset.htm
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/3b/13d6de881a8f4daac3d28e1652a2bb/frameset.htm
I tried to explain it in asimple terms.
    Hope it helped.

  • ONCE i made a photo project how do I access the original photos?

once we make a photo project  how do I access the original photos?

Do you mean to upload or use in another app or some such?
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:   You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.  If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later:  You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation  which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File:  a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier:  Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.    3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • Script to create multiple folios

    Hi,
I have been searching for a script that creates multiple folios based on the same metadata, but haven't found anything.
The idea is to use it when creating renditions of the same publication, the only difference will be the size of the folio. It will save me some time to have a script where I can input metadata for the publication once.
I am only looking for a script to create the folios, after this I will import the articles.
Have anyone seen a script like this or knows if it is possible to do this?
    Thanks,
    Kristoffer

    Thank you for your reply!
I tried to find the structure for the folio sidecar. Do you know where to find this? I am interested to see what kind of metadata that could be imported.
I also assume that this must be scripted since there is nowhere in the standard dialogue to import a sidecar?
    Thanks,
    /K

  • When creating Outbound Delivery, how does SAP propose Delivery Type?

    Hi,
in VL01N, when i create an outbound delivery i can create it with reference to an SO or without reference to an SO.
But how does SAP know the delivery type to use?
I don't know where to really look.
    in SPRO i went to:
Logistics Execution ---> Shipping --> Deliveries
but all i saw was delivery type definition.
then i went down the path:
LE --> Shipping --> Copy Control --> Specify Copy Control for Deliveries
then i found a table linking Sales Order Types and Delivery Types.
However, we use SO doc. type Z*** for example but I see that there are multiple entries for it linking to various delivery types including LF and another custom Z*** delivery type.
My question is, how is the system choosing which delivery type to use?
Is it maintained in customer master or at config level?
    Thanks.

    Hi Gavin,
If you check VOV8 for example standard order (OR), the delivery type is LF. Here you can define only delivery type person SO. Hence you will not find SO to LF relation as 1:N but will surely find N:1.
Item category just defines the billing relevance of the item. Hence if billing is delivery related then delivery will be created for the item.
Now once order is created when tried to deliver, it will know that LF is the delivery type from VOV8 and from item it will know he should deliver it or not.
Hope this is clear now. Reward if helpful.
    Kind regards
    sandeep

  • Once made a selection in photoshop how do you export in Illustrator and use it with a cutting plotte

once made a selection in photoshop how do you export in Illustrator and use it with a cutting plotter?

Plotters require continuous paths. Convert the selection to a path and clean it up suitably. Copy&paste it to Illustrator and use it as a clipping mask on your artwork or whatever. You may also need to create a duplicate layer/ separate PDF file file. Talk to the people doing the plotting.

  • I need to creat a barcode how do I go about this

I need to creat a barcode how do I go about this

You start by finding a (free or paid) barcode font
In my last job I had to create barcodes for an inventory scanner... I've been retired for 3 years so don't remember the name of the font I found, but once I had the font installed, I simply used Word to type whatever I wanted, and the barcode characters were printed for labels
I do "sort of" remember that the font I used was a 39 or "3 of 9" Truetype font

  • How do I publish my next edition of my Multi-folio app?

I was wondering if someone could help me.
I've created my second edition to my multi-folio app in Adobe Folio Producer. I am just wondering how you go about created the next (like a magazine). Do I have to go through all the steps that I did when I created my first app in DPS App Builder?
Also how to you upload to iTunesConnect? If it's the same app just the next issue (like a magazine)? I don't see anything that says next issue, just Add Version but I'm sure that's not the same thing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Michelle

    Hello Bob,
I'm probably asking a stupid question then. How do you publish it? Through DPS Folio Producer? So you don't have to create another app or certificates or anything? That seems simple!
