Once upon a time, I shun down the camera(built-in isight) on my Imac, now I don't know how to restart the camera.

I can see the built-in iSight at the device manager, and its property is "normal". But how can I get it work again?

If your Mac computer or display has a built-in iSight, FaceTime, or FaceTime HD camera, you can use it to take pictures or videos with the Photo Booth application, create movies with iMovie, or video chat with your friends and family over the Internet.
The microphone (see A above) transmits and records sound. The location of the microphone may vary depending upon your computer model. The camera (see B above) takes pictures in Photo Booth or captures video in iChat or iMovie. The indicator light (see C above) glows when the camera is on.
To turn off the camera, close the active application window. The green indicator light turns off, showing that the camera is off and video has stopped.
So open the application you want to use the camera with. The program will control the camera. TRY: Open PhotoBooth. Click the red button. Watch for the green light next to the lens (C above)

Every time I click on a link, an OLD version of Firefox keeps opening, I don't know how to eliminate the old version (I don't see it in the applications folder). This hasn't happened with any other upgrades to Firefox. Can you help?

This happens when I get an email with a link attached. Also, every single time I open up the NEW version, it defaults to the "welcome to Firefox 4" page. Is there a way to make it stop doing that too? Did I just download the new version too soon, before the bugs were worked out?

Version 3.6.16 is opening....as it did when I clicked the link in your email message to me about this situation. The upgraded version (Firefox4) sits in my dock and the old version opens when I click on a link.

PLEASE HELP!!! I clicked on the wrong folder to start up in and now I don't know how I can start in Mac OSx 10.4 anymore.

I have already pressed and held down the options key during start up but I can only select the HD drive (which is what I want) but I can't specify which folder to start up in (I accidently pressed 9 before instead of 10.4) and now I can't revert back to 10.4. Be sure you have prepared the new drive correctly:
Drive Preparation
1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Steps 4-6 are optional but should be used on a drive that has never been formatted before, if the format type is not Mac OS Extended, if the partition scheme has been changed, or if a different operating system (not OS X) has been installed on the drive.
When formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Complete the OS X installation.

Go to the iTunes Store. Click on your Apple ID and enter your password. Scroll down towards the end of the page, you should see a line item that says Pre-Order. You can cancel the pre-order there.

Where your backups are stored

Backups that have a date and time stamp in the backup name are copies of backups created by restoring the iOS device. The date and time in the left column are when the restore-from-backup occurred. The date and time in the right column are the last synced date; this shows how current the data is.

Out of the box, to use the function keys as function keys, hold down the fn key when you press the key. Otherwise, you get the picture function on the key. You can reverse this behavior in the Keyboard system prefs.

i was rubbing my laptop keys. i must have hit the right key sequence to change the font setting. i don't know how to reset the font. i was in mozilla at the time, so only it was affected. IE still uses the correct webpage fonts. IE has a reset on their browser, does firefox?

Have you tried closing Firefox and visiting the site again without restoring your session? This will bypass any temporary changes.
If the problem is the font size, you can reset the zoom level:
View menu > Zoom > Reset
If you have the orange Firefox button, tap the Alt key or press F10 to display the classic menu bar where you will find the View menu.
