One Bank Account used by Multiple Company Codes - BRS Issue

Dear All
We have a scenario where 1 bank account is maintained under different company codes and used for business purpose.  In this scenario we are able to do Funds Transfer without any issue. When we are going to do BRS, there is a issue.  When we receive Bank Statement, we receive only one statement and when we try to import into system, system will throw the error as system is not able to decide for which company code it has to perform BRS.
Can anybody help me out in resolving the issue.
Rayala

Hi,
For BRS it is impossbile.   For maintainig account and all technically it is ok.  But it advisable to have different account at least for different company code.
Thanks

  • Using Same Bank Account for two different company code

Can we use the same bank account number and ABA key for two different company codes? Both the company codes are in USA and with the same currency.
Scenario is to separate one division of the company code to a separate company code. Client wanted to know if we can use the same bank account so that they dont have to open another bank account

The system will allow the same ABA and bank account on two different company codes.  However, if you use electronic bank statement (EBS) functionality (or plan to use it in the future), you will not be able to import bank statements for the account if it exists on two company codes.  The EBS program uses the house bank/account ID tables to assign a company code to the bank statement.  If the account exists for more than one company code, the program cannot assign a company code and it will give an error.

  • One Rebate Agrement linked to multiple company codes

    Hi ,
I have a question. Can you let me know on the rebate enhancements if any .I have a scenario where in have to create one Agreement type it can be any rebate agreement ...Customer Rebate ,material Rebate , Heirarchy rebate ..... which can be linked to multiple compnay codes. As per my understanding at the time of  creating Rebate agreement it requires sales area data .If we supress that we can  make a common Rebate agreement type. Can any one explain on this scenario...How can we go ahead
Kindly let me know if more information is required
    Regards
    AK

I think that in fact you could create one rebate agreement across payers and company codes (different company codes = different sales organizations), but probably this would only make sense if you you used Extended Rebate Processing.
After activating Extended Rebate you customize the VAKEY construction for S469 structure update so that the system knows, what are the actual values to settle. If you make sure that the rebate conditions in your agreement do not have the sales organization in the access sequence, then there should be no problem to determine those conditions in invoices across company codes. In fact what is important for rebate settlement is that the rebate condition assigned to the agreement is determined in the invoice, not that the sales organization or payer are the same.
Once the rebate conditions are determined in invoices, you must somehow settle the agreement. If you settle in one company code and to one payer only, then this is all you have to do - once the invoices have the conditions determined, settlement will see the values.
If you have to settle across company codes, you will have to introduce the sales organization in the variable key and assign it to sales organization field in the header of the credit memo (VBAK-VKORG). This should work.
I have never tested this particular scenarion, but I have done so many really strange things with extended rebate that I really think it should work. Just remember - the key is that your rebate conditions are determined in the relevant invoices (easiest to achieve by eliminating sales organization from access sequence). If the value is there, you should always find a way to settle (if standard customizing of extended rebates cannot do it, you always have the last option - RBT_ENH_BADI_SETTLE).
If you are successful, let me know - I would really like to know if this scenario is possible as well.
    regards

  • One iTunes account used across multiple computers

I have a few related questions:
    1) I'm having trouble logging into my own iTunes account on my newest laptop. It says that too many devices are using the same account. Is there a limit on how many computers / devices can use an iTunes account?  If so, how can I resolve this as many of the past computers I used iTunes on, have since crashed/ been discarded, but I didn't unload iTunes from it.
    2) The main problem I am having is in backing up the books I have bought on my iPad on to my newest laptop. It is not letting my purchases sync with iTunes as it does not accept my accont credentials. So I am stuck with a bunch of books on my iPad that I am unable to share or backup.
    3) Once the backup and sign in to iTunes is resolved, how do I share my iBooks with others? Is it possible to save them on a hard-drive as well in case my computer crashes?
Would appreciate your help on this!

Authorization only applies to computers. When you update a device any protected content on the device for which the library is not authorised will be removed. Otherwise no attempt is made to remove content that was added by a now deauthorised library.
There is a separate scheme permitting up to 10 devices (computers, iPhones, iPad or iPod touches) to be registered for automatic downloads of your purchases with a different mechanism for deregistering devices.
Once you have a file on your computer you can physically copy it to any other computer in the same way that you would copy any other file like a Word document, put it on a disk, email it if not too large, burn it to DVD, stick it on an external hard drive or move it over a network. You can use Get Info. To tell you where it is now and you can drop it into the library at the other end.
The user tip shows how to backup the whole library and then update that backup efficiently. Such a backup to a portable drive also provides a possible tool for transporting any content to another computer.

  • One Bank account for Multiple company codes

Hello, Is it posible to have one Bank account assigned to mulitiple company codes ??
isn't it be a problem when we do BAI reconciliation.
Becuase all we get from bank is bank account number and transactions, and how reconciliation works in this situation if we had mulitiple company codes assigned to same bank account number.
Can you please suggest me, if this is possible at all.(assigned to mulitiple company codes).
    Thankyou.

Hi. For bank statement configuration you can only assign one bank account to one company code as mentioned by Akhil. The scenario you've described above is a pay-on-behalf process. If your payments are through AP, you create the bank account in the true legal entity and then when you configure the Company Codes (x,y, and z) in F110 payment program, then you set the Paying Company Code to be entity A. You don't need to configure the bank account in company codes x, y and z. When you run the AP payments, the system will know to check company A for the banking details. You will also be establishing an intercompany relationship with this so you would need OBYA setup as well. However, if you are trying to process payment requests, I do not think that the program adheres to this piece of config. It'll try to find the bank account in the respective company code's config. So sometimes in-house cash is implemented to this. hope that helps a bit.

  • Vendor Master with Multiple Bank account in Multiple Company Codes

    Dear Team,
We have multiple companies in our SAP environment, wherein a single vendor is extended to multiple Company Codes  (Cocds).  If we change the bank account in the vendor master, it is applicable to all the Cocds in which vendor is extended.  Few vendors want payment in different bank accounts.
How do we address this issue?
    Kindly guide.
    Regards
    James

    Hi,
    Two options without any enhancement:-
    1. Use "Partner Bank Type" in Vendor Master's Payment Transaction View where you maintain vendor bank account. Each of the bank account should be assigned to unique Partner Bank Type
    - Based on this setup, at time of invoice posting, user could choose which vendor bank type  and base on the selection, the selected bank will be selected upon payment.
    - You could also explore the option of using substitution to substitute the partner bank type upon posting if the same cocd always using the same vendor bank
    2. A much simpler option, upon payment proposal - user actually could select which vendor bank they wanted to use if you've multiple vendor in the vendor master.

  • One lockbox for multiple company codes

Is it possible to have one lockbox for multiple company codes?

No, I don't think so. Lockbox is 1:1 for a Company Code.
You configure Lockbox for a Company Code.
You can use one of the 2 available Lockbox user exits (not sure which) to write a piece of code that searches invoices against the customer posted to different company codes. You will have to have the intercompany setups.
You may find an OSS notes for intercompany clearing.
    Hope this helps!

  • One lockbox for multiple company code

    Hi Guru's.
Currently we have one company code to many lockbox configured, process
    is working fine.
We are in process of merging two companies.
We have a scenario were we have one Lockbox shared between multiple
company code, when we process the lockbox file lockbox process will
clear one company code Invoice and other Invoice for different company
    code are unprocessed.
We have looked in to user exit EXIT_RFEBLB20_001 and EXIT_RFEBLB20_002,
    was not much of help.
    Regards,
    KJ

I had this scenario few years back in a company and we used exit RFEBLB20_002. We used logic to find the invoicing company code from the BSID table using the document number from lockbox file, then change the default lockbox company code to invoicing company code. Unfortunately this scenario will work only if you use unique document number ranges for each company codes which is not the case for most companies.

  • Can Business One handle multiple company codes / multi national co. codes?

I have been told that SAP Business one can not handle multiple company codes, is this correct ?
    Pl let me know.
In addition to this, can it handle multiple company codes, that belongs to different countries.
    Thanks
    Arun Tulsi

Answer from you second question: Yes and No.  When these different countries are in the same cluster, i.e. A or B , you can. Otherwise, you can't.
Now back to your first question. If you want use B1 for multiple companies which are not related, then you shouldn't because any B1 licenses should be under strict control.  License is not shareable.  If they under one group, then there are no problem to have multiple companies with one exception as the first answer to your second question..
    Thanks,

  • SEPA file – how to create one file for multiple company codes

    Dear experts,
My company has multiple company codes and they process automatic payments (F110) for multiple company codes in the same run.
The company wants to generate one SEPA file for all company codes.
In OBPM1  for SEPA format in the section ``Payment medium output devided by level of detail`` I unchecked everything (attached).
OBPM4 for SEPA format is showing `` No separation of payment medium output``.
Unfortunately, when I run automatic payments (F110) for multiple codes, multiple files for each company code are created.
Can anyone let me know how it is possible to create one SEPA file that will contain payments for multiple company codes?
    Thank you

    Hi Zara,
Please check in transaction DMEE your format tree (eg. SEPA_CT), 'DMEE tree: properties' - tab 'Sort/key field'. Is the Sort/key field 'ZBUKR' defined there with Level 1?

  • Impact of Merging multiple company codes into ONE

    Hi,
We are currently doing a study for a client,  they have the following scenario where the client has got multiple company codes in SAP (due to some tax benefits they had initially created the company codes) now the tax benefits cease to exist and they are planning to consolidate/merge all the company codes into one legal entity. In the existing landscape all the company codes are in the same client. They are proposing to merge all the company codes into an existing company code.
Trying to understand the impact of merging on SD and would appreciate your thiughts/insights into what could be the important critical impacts of merging and what are the factors to watch out for from an SD perspective. Client has VC and MTO scenarios.
    Thanks in Advance.
    M

    Hi,
It all depends on your strategy. Will you be creating a new Sales organisations? or continue with the existing one? Also, please check with the client as to how the existing plants in the subsidery company  be treated in the holding company.
You will have to check the master data, open items, Z programmes & most importantly CIN related settings.
Hope this is helpful, please let me know if you require further inputs.
    Thanks.

How you can schedule reports in BW 3.5? Suppose I need to schedule one report for multiple company code, how can you do that and notify the users? I do not want to send multiple emails to the same user if the report runs for 20 times (for 20 different companies).

    Sorry all,
    A couple of corrections:

    Hi all,
I'm a bit confused about this article. I was working with a poster on a question which ultimately led me to this article (as he was using the Disk method described in this article to share one Mac's iPhoto library between he and his wife).
What I'm not getting about any of it is what sort of "multiple user" scenario is this referring to? Is it specifically referring to the User accounts on a specific Mac? So, signing off one user and then signing on another?
The reason I ask is because both my husband and I have Macs, and he is always signed on to his Mac, I'm always signed on to mine. We have a bit more complicated set up in terms of syncing, because our iTunes library is housed on his computer and our iPhoto library is housed on mine. But, bottom line, when I sync my iPhone or iPad to iTunes, I do it on his computer with him signed on (most of the time on both the computer and iTunes), and when I sync his iPhone photos to iPhoto, I do it on his my computer with me still signed on. We have both libraries shared completely, with the option to sync different parts of it to our different devices.
So, in a situation where you are not needing to sign off the "primary" user of a Mac in order to update or sync your devices, does the article even apply?
I just want to get it straight so I can help this poster out with the correct information.
    Thanks,

    Yes Balaji,
    We can assign.
Here the risk categiry and terms of one credit control area will be applicable to all company code.
    Credit Control Area
    Definition
An organizational unit that represents the area where customer credit is awarded and monitored.
This organizational unit can either be a single or several company codes, if credit control is
performed across several company codes. One credit control area contains credit control
    information for each customer.
    Use
Credit and risk management takes place in the credit control area. According to your corporate
requirements, you can implement credit management that is centralized, decentralized, or
    somewhere in between.
For example, if your credit management is centralized, you can define one credit control
area for all of your company codes.
If, on the other hand, your credit policy requires decentralized credit management, you
can define credit control areas for each company code or each group of company codes.
Credit limits and credit exposure are managed at both credit control area and customer level.
You set up credit control areas and other data related to credit management in Customizing for
Financial Accounting. For more information, see the Implementation Guide under Enterprise
Structure   Definition or   Assignment   Financial Accounting and then Maintain credit control
area. You assign customers to specific credit control areas and specify the appropriate credit
limits in the customer master record.
    Thanks,
    Raja
