One common filter interface

I think it would be nice to have EVERY filter in the filter gallery. It`s disturbing to have only some of the filters in the filter gallery. We also need much more Pixel Bender filters. I know of the Pixel Bender exchange site , but what we need are the real important filters to be Pixel Bender filters:
Gaussian Blur, Smart sharpen, Unsharp mask, displace and why not have lightning effects? This filter is really helpful, but its interface is sooooo old.

That`s interesting Chris. But I have to say that to my eyes the quality of the Pixel Bender filter is better, although the difference is not that much.
Wouldn`t it be possible to make something like a gaussian blur (even if it`s mathematically not identical) and maybe the result is not 100% identical?
Because what I really like about Pixel Bender is its incredible speed. As I said before, even the spin radial blur (which is by far the slowest PB filter I know) is much faster on my slow 8600GT than the radial blur on my Quadcore. I really hope for more useful filters in CS5`s PB. I mean if the result looks good I don`t care about the math behind it. And of course the old filters in Photoshop should stay there as well.

I want to deploy a filter for all the web applications i have running on weblogic server. I don't want to deploy the filter just within a specific web
context, was able to achieve this on tomcat as it provides a common web.xml

Custom keyboard shortcuts for Liquify and Vanishing Point filter interfaces in Photoshop CS4?

Is there a way to set custom keyboard shortcuts for Liquify and Vanishing Point filter interfaces in Photoshop CS4? When I change my keyboard shortcuts preferences for Photoshop, they don't change for these filter interfaces. Is there another way?

I tried to change the shortcut for the Vanishing Point and Liquify from
Edit -> keyboard shortcuts(button) -> keyboard shortcuts (tab) -> filter (tab)
and you will find these filters :
double click on it and make a new shortcut
but it MUST be Ctrl + (any letter) or you can make it Ctrl + Alt + (any letter)
but if you made it just one lettre like S for example
you will can't make a shortcut.

You cannot delete an Apple ID, you just stop using it. Understand that any apps purchased using that ID can only be updated with it. Apps are tied that ID used to purchase them. If you want to use a new ID for everything, you will need to repurchase any old apps using the new ID.

this will happend if u use maintain order at runtime at interface determination.
just uncheck this option if u dont neet EOIO.
if you are getting the problem if u r going for EO then the problem might be using same JDBC channel for all interfaces.
if each interface is expected with a high load then it better to go for dedicated channels for interfaces.
like INTERFACE A should use JDBC A channel and INTERFACE B should use JDBC B channel.

If you are having a problem with a JDBC interface (lets consider this to be a communication channel) then the communication is stopped (via that channel) (only in the case of EOIO).

Problem with one row filter - images are messed up

I am trying to use Theme 15 and have found that the one row filter is messed up. Some of the image components are repeated over and over creating a very large filter region.
Look here to see what I mean.
I have tried to edit the template, but that didn't work.

Well I put an example up on apex.oracle.com and found that the problem wasn't there.
I had modified my page template to include a second stylesheet. When I removed the reference to the second style sheet the filter row returned to normal. Odd.
I guess I need to dig into why this is the case now, but at least I know where to look.

Edit: the problem was that my second stylesheet had "spacer" defined in it which was over-ridding the properties of the apex-finder class.

JCA and the common client interface

Hi.
(I may have posted this question in the wrong forum but, this seems to be the most active and more likely to atract the opinion of a few experienced developers)
I wanted to ask the opinion of some of the more experienced developers... preferably those who have had experience integrating heterogeneous EIS/data sources into a common portal.
This concerns Sun's JCA specification (available at: http://java.sun.com/j2ee/connector/index.jsp), particularly the CCI (common client interface) - chapter 15 - which defines a set of interfaces which EIS providers should support.
Has anyone made any effort to upcast SAP interfaces to these 'standardised' interfaces?
If so... are there any limitations/additional complication which other developers need to consider if they wish to employ this practice?
If Not... Does this not defeat the objective of the JCA?

I'm quite happy the JDeveloper behaves the way it does. Why? Because in most of my scenarios I don't want to be driven in a particular direction of development. This my choice of development and I don't like tools that dictate this to me.

Applying one video filter to multiple clips

How do I apply just one video filter to multiple clips on a timeline in FCP7? "Copy and paste attributes" does not give me the control to select just one filter to apply, for example there is a color corrector and sharpen filter in the copied clip and all I want to paste is sharpen.

Double click on a clip on the timeline that has the sharpness filter with the settings you want to apply to additional clips.
When that clip has loaded to the viewer, click on the filters tab. You will see a list of all the filters you have applied.
Now, on the timeline, select all the clips you want to apply that filter to (you can hold down the Command key while clicking on the clips to select multiple clips).
Once the destination clips are selected, move your cursor to the Viewer window Filters tab display, and click down on the Sharpness filter and drag it to any one of the selected clips on the timeline.
It will be applied to all clips.

READ TABLE IT_DEP INTO WA_DEP WITH KEY BUKRS = WA_APC-BUKRS
BINARY SEARCH.
then the all the data is not combined i suppose as i need to have the final table all the data from both the internal tables....
ie common rows plus extra rows for bukrs

BPM with 2 JDBC outbound interfaces and one inbound file interface

Hi,
I have a scenario where data is coming from different databases into XI and after processing the data it creates a file at the target side. Some calculations are to be done in the middleware and the result will be sent through a file.
My question is
1. BPM will be used in this scenario?
2. There will 2 outbound interfaces(one for each database access), 2 abstract interfaces and one inbound interface(file). Please correct me if I am wrong.
3. I have to multiply the value of field from one database to a particular value in another database and get the final result. For e.g exchange rate from one database is multiplied to Transaction currency in another database and get the group currency value in the output. Can anyone give the sequence of steps in the intergration process for this scenario as I am new to BPM.

Since I can use JDBC lookup for this in my nornal scenario I think no need for BPM.

MDS 9509 - How to filter interface email alerts

I have configured interface alert filters in the Admin/Events/Filters/Interfaces tab. In this tab I un-clicked the interfaces that I don't want to see alerts on. However, I still get email alerts on these ports that I un-clicked.

I believe this alert filter only applies to SNMP traps, by unchecking specific port you will not be getting link up/down generic SNMP
traps anymore.

Pulling in data from two cubes in one common report in OBIEE

We have a scenario wherein we are using Oracle OLAP Cubes as data source for reporting against OBIEE v10.1.3.3.2. The specific question that we have can be exemplified as below:
The Analytic Workspace (as created using AWM) has the following seven dimensions:
Dimension A
Dimension B
Dimension C
Dimension D
Dimension E
Dimension F
Dimension G
Based on the above dimensions, we have the following cubes:
Cube One : Dimension A, Dimension B, Dimension C, Dimension D and Dimension E
Cube Two : Dimension D, Dimension E, Dimension F, Dimension G
So essentially, we have two cubes in the same Analytic Workspace and they do have a few dimensions in common.
What we now need to know is how best to include these two cubes in the same logical model in the business and presentation layers of the OBIEE repository - this needs to be done because we want to include measures from both the cubes in a common report.
Any ideas on the implementation of this scenario are highly appreciated.

Here is what we are trying to achieve:
We have a Business Domain wherein two measures are of importance : M1 and M2. Also, we now know that M1 and M2 are dimensioned as below:
M1 - Dimensions A, B, C, D , E , F, G and H
M2 - Dimensions C, D , F and G
Hence, we are looking at an AW with 8 dimensions and two cubes : One for M1 with 8 dimensions and the other for M2 with 4 dimensions. Also, here comes the need to have a report wherein we can see the values of M1 and M2 in the same report and then do some calculations and analysis using both the figures at the same time. What we now need to know is how best to include these two cubes (which have 4 dimensions in common) in the same logical model in the business and presentation layers of the OBIEE repository so that we can address the reporting requirement of having values of M1 and M2 in the same report.

One plant can not be assigned to multiple company codes, as plant/plants is/are company code specific
The concept of company code is a business organization with association or collection of individual of real persons who each invested some form of capital. This group of individuals has a common purpose of installing plant; manufacture goods and sale the goods aiming for gaining profits which in turn company with company code is itself considered a "legal person". So in this system how other company code can come & do activities {Manufacturing, Processing, and Selling) in the same plant with same sales area.

I had the same problem listed at the beginning of this thread:
Error invoking 'set_xslt_locale':'java.lang.IllegalAccessError: tried to access class oracle.apps.fnd.i18n.common.text.DigitList from class oracle.apps.fnd.i18n.common.text.ExcelNumberFormat'
I raised an SR and eventually came up with the cause and a solution.
Cause:
Essentially the problem is caused by incompatible versions of classes in the oracle.apps.fnd.i18n.* package held in the file jdevbin\jdev\appslibrt\aolj.jar versus the classes used by the BI Publisher libraries. The 'set_xslt_locale' method was introduced in BI publisher version 5.6.3 so if you have upgraded to this version on the server it is likely that you will get this error in JDeveloper.
Solution:
1) You will first need to copy the following file to your local JDev install and add it as a library via Project Settings --> Libraries :
$FND_TOP/java/3rdparty/stdalone/xdoparser.zip
2) Next fetch the latest version of the oracle.apps.fnd.i18n.* classes from $OA_JAVA. Create a zip file of these files (i.e. i18n.jar), copy to your local JDev install and add it as a library as you did with the xdoparser.zip.
3) Copying these files alone will not solve the problem because JDeveloper will use the oracle.apps.fnd.i18n.* classes located in the jdevbin\jdev\appslibrt\aolj.jar file before using the ones located in the file added in step 2 (i18n.jar). To get round this, ensure that the the library you have added for the i1n8.jar file is higher in the list (under Project Settings  Libraries) than the libraries “FND Libraries” & “OA Developer Libraries” (if selected). This will ensure that the files in i18n.jar are used prior to those in jdevbin\jdev\appslibrt\aolj.jar. If this does not work (some users have found this approach not to work), make a backup of the file jdevbin\jdev\appslibrt\aolj.jar and then manully remove all files in the oracle.apps.fnd.i18n package from the file.
4) In addition to the above copy the file $OA_HTML/xdo_doc_display.jsp to your local OA_HTML directory (usually jdevhome\jdev\myhtml). You should also set the temporary directory of the XML Publisher (under Admin) to a directory that exists on your PC (eg. /var/tmp on your PC will be c:\var\tmp).
