One group - Summary Grp - 2nd grp - Detailed grp

My requirement seems to be quite common.
I need to display summary on one frame and detailed of the summary results in the 2nds frame below. I have 2 queries for the same - (one for summary and second for detailed). My question is that in the 2nd query(For detailed results), how may I mention that the results should belong to only for the columns that are displayed in the summary section?I have joined the 2 queries in reports builder using link.
Example
Summary:
person1
person2
Detailed:
1 person1 abc lane, CA 123-345-5678
2 person2 def lne, IL 345-678-9012
However, right now I am repeating query1 in query2.
How can I specify in the detailed query that the results should be for only the ones belonging to query1. Right now I am querying query1 twice, once in query1 itself and again in query2:
select name, address, tel from detailedTable where id in (<whole of query 1>)
Is there a better way to accomplish this?

I combined the queries but now the result is not correct. That is in the summary, there is a column that has to be unique - since I am fetching top 20 records. So all those top 20 are unique. However in the detailed, we may have multiple rows for the same record fetched in the summary. I am not able to accomplish this with just 1 query since the rows in the summary are being repeated.
Secondly, if I have a link between the first and the second query without repeating the frst query in 2nd query - the 2nd query is not returning rows belonging to a column in 1st (summary query). It returns all that satisfies what is there in 2nd query. Is there a way I can join on a particular column? I am not sure if that is the expected behaivor or not.Because of this, I have to repeat the first query in the second query and this is affecting the performance.
Was wondering if there is a better way to accomplish the same? Any help greatly appreciated.
Example ...
Query1:
(select ....where rownum<=20)
Query2:
Select a,b,c from abc where a in (Query1)

I need at the end of the report only group summaries. i have n number of groups. after the end of the report i need a summary report groupwise.

For this you have to create a separate layout within the same report. Your first layout is Matrix and second would be Group layout. And for second layout you will have to create a new query (but same as used for Matrix).

put a summery column outside the quey.
& take sum of "CS_Total_quantity".
set its reset at property to "report". & print object on "last page".

Group Vote only one group

Hi,
I'm designing a human task where there needs to be a group vote of the users of only one group. If I select Group Vote, group -> "Name of the Group", the task is sent to the users of the group. One of them claims it and answers for the all group. Not what I want.
What I want is, the users of the group receive the task, for example, 70% agree with the vote and the human task is finished. This behaviour happens when I select group vote and manually add all users of the group. How can I achieve this?

Tasks can be assigned to both users and groups. In a group vote, if you assign the task to a group, there is only one assignment, which is to the group.
If you want to create a group task for each user in the group, please assign dynamically the users of the group task using the xpath extension function, ids:getUsersInGroup(groupName, direct, realm). Please see section D.7.8 in the developer's guide for details of this function.

Why one group of files takes so long to copy

Hi... I have two different folders full of files that I occasionally backup to another location. Both sets contain approximately 3000 files each. However, what I will call set 1's 3000 files represent about 700 MBytes of data while the 3000 files in set 2 are about half that size at about 350 MBytes.
The vast majority of those files are never changed. Instead, each week perhaps a few kilobytes and maybe 10-20 files might change. When I copy set 2 to its backup location, the copy might take 15 seconds tops. When I copy set 1 to its backup location on the same drive as set 2, the backup takes at least a factor of 10 longer... Maybe more... I could imagine a factor of 2 since there are twice as many MBytes of data in that set 1 but why might it be taking so, so much longer??? I've looked at the file attributes between the two sets and they appear to all be the same.
Even more interesting, if I do the backup for set 2 (the faster one) that I said maybe takes 15 seconds tops, if I immediately do the same thing again, it now takes less than a second meaning that the system seems to know those files have not changed since the previous copy. However, if I do the same with set 1, the second immediate copy takes every bit as long as the first copy just took moments before... It's as if something is telling the Finder to go ahead and recopy ALL of those files every time whether they have changed or not.
Any input on why I might be seeing that??? I care because I also backup these files via an online backup service and that set 1 group of files always takes a ton longer on that service as well. What might cause this???

Well, maybe more detail would help but I was trying to keep it simple. There are certain files that I now and then copy into encrypted, sparse disk images and I then backup those encrypted disk images elsewhere. Currently I open the disk images which then shows the files/folders but those might be a few weeks old. I then open the same folders that exist elsewhere on my computer and that's when I use the drag and drop to update what will soon be relocked up into the encrypted disk images.
Sets 1 and 2 as I described them above are just natural groupings of files/folders I once chose those these encrypted disk images wouldn't be incredibly large.
I do have Disk Warrior as somone asked above...
And I don't have Carbon Copy Cloner but I do have its cousin, SuperDuper which I used to backup the entire computer to a backup drive now and then.
And I doubt I'm running into memory problems as this is a new rMBP with 16 GBytes of RAM
I could use SuperDuper to copy these files for me... Might be worth a try... But it's just so curious that one group of files copies in an instant when you copy and then immediately copy again while the second group seems to want to redo the copy every time you request it... It might just be a few funny files in that one group... Interesting...

Syncing just one 'group' of contacts from Address Book

I've just bought a 3GS iPhone and have transferred the contact numbers from my SIM card to the iPhone.
However, I use Address Book on both a MacBook and an iMac - the entries in these are not always identical. Is it possible for me to 'sync' just one group of contacts from the Address Book on my MacBook to my iPhone and then another group of contacts from my iMac to the iPhone? If any of these contacts have partial details transferred from my old SIM card will that mean I have duplicates or does the iPhone recognise that the SIM has only transferred, say, one contact number and will then go ahead and complete details for email address and home address?
Sorry if this is a very basic question but I don't want to end up with lots of duplicate entries and couldn't find the answer elsewhere

Yes, true for iPhoto as well. Note that even though the iTunes content is the same, you will want to turn off syncing of media on one of the computers. The restriction of syncing to one library means that even if the libraries have the same content, every time you sync to the other computer, all of the iPhone content will be erased and replaced (with the same content, but it will take quite some time if the amount of content is significant).

You usually make contact groups via a computer (Mac or PC). If you use a mac and sync. via iCloud, you can go into Contacs.app and organize your contacts as you wish. Then (if) you sync with iCloud the groups you've changed or created will be displayed on your iPhone and (or) iPad.

Thanks for the reply. The many to many relationship between Claims and Payments are achieved through intersection table in siebel. When Customer has multiple claims, single payment issued for both claims. Also single claim can multiple payments such (part compensation, interests, final compensation etc)

On my device, or in iCloud on the web, how do I move a contact from one group to another. This should be as easy as it is with calender items, but the only solution I've found is to change your default contact group, and email the contact to yourself. Then tap the contact, and add it to your contact list. You can then delete the original. Is there an easier way???

How can I transfer my contacts from one group to another?

I have recently discovered that most of my personal contacts have been synced with my work's MS Outlook. This brings two issues to me if I ever had to change jobs and hand over my laptop - 1) My personal contacts will be shared with an unauthorised audience, 2) If they delete my account I will never have access to my own personal contacts as well.
I tried to see how I can transfer contacts from one group to another but I can't seem to get the hang of it. Can anyone help, please? All I need to do is associate the contacts that have been associated with my work's email account to one of my personal accounts.

If you use an online syncing service for managing your contacts then you can simply clean up the contancts on one installation, and the changes should update on the second installation immediately. This will only work if you use iCloud, Gmail, or another service for storing your contacts.

I find I cannot move a contact from one group to another group. If I delete a contact from one group I delete that contact from my total contact population. I did not have this problem in earlier IOS versions. Can anyone help me?

I will definitely get them all moved over before I delete that account and I've already gone in & changed my preferences. Several years ago, my husband I decided to share one calendar and one contacts list, using his mobile me account and it's been great for us. I'm particularly thrilled to no longer serve as a human rolodex and I guess that I paniced a bit when I thought there might be a problem with our system. I'm still confused where that "On my mac" account came from on the first place. Do you suppose that was an automatic thing that came with the Mountain Lion upgrade?

In exchange you cannot have the same email address for multiple recipients .
First and Best way is to remove the email address from the old user account and add the same smtp address to the new user who is going to take his place.
Second option would be forwarding all the emails from old user account to new user account when an email was triggered to the email address ([email protected]) .on this case there is no need to remove or delete the email address from the old user account
and also email address ([email protected]) will still reside on the old user account .
If i am at your place i will choose the first option and i agree with DJ

How can I transfer just one "group" of contacts to my Prius handsfree/bluetooth?

Apple had to replace my iPhone 5S because of a hardware problem. I had created a list of about 100 contacts to be transferred to my 2010 Prius onboard contact list. I did that in late 2013 by deleting all my contacts, importing the one group, transfering that to the Prius- then adding back all my contacts.
Having spent 1 hour on the phone with tech support today, I was told that with the new IOS- that can no longer be done. I can't believe there is no work-around. I only need 100 of the contacts out of my 3000+ to go into the Prius contact list. Entering over 100 manually will take too long- so really want to just sync via bluetooth. HELP!!!!!
