One of the windows becomes frozen in fullscreen

Hello. I would like to get some feedback from AIR team regarding this bug:
We have a custom assembled computer running under WindowsXP. It runs AIR app with 6 windows, 5 of them running in fullscreen mode on 5 touchscreens (3 videocards, I believe ). The problem is that one of the screens (randomly) becomes frozen at some point. I mean the AIR window on that screen. As soon as you leave fullscreen mode it becomes alive again (being re-rendered and continue working normally).
I've made two sort of tests to ensure that this is not monitor issue:
1. I quit fullscreen mode on another window of that app (on another screen, the one was working properly) and moved (with use of keyboard) it on top of frozen one — the moved window updates(renders) properly (on top of frozen one) — so the monitor is ok.
2. Performed a series of touch interactions (full date and coordinates logged into txt file) — it shows that monitor works correctly, e.g. recieving mouse events and, what's most important, AIR app also recieves them. The only weird thing is that mouse coordinates were not an integer value for the frozen one (stage scale mode is set to NO_SCALE of course).
AIR runtime version was 2.6.0.19120. The hardware acceleration is disabled since it was leading to various troubles before.
I've upgraded to AIR 3.0.0.4080, but haven't got feedback yet (if it runs properly or freezes).

It happened with AIR3.0 as well. So I tried to specify stage.fullScreenSourceRect — will see if this affects somehow.. Yet it's still not very clear about AIR and hardware acceleration. For example, for Flash Player (browser plugins and standalone) you can set global settings. But does it affect AIR? Anyway, I turned that off months before. And setting fullScreenSourceRect triggers GPU explicitly, right?
Regarding including project.. It's big and hardware-specific (designed to run on 5-touchscreens). And the most annoying — the problem does not appears under certain circumstances. Happens randomly, after days of running, on different monitors.
Could you point to the previous bug please? This new bugtracker is a mess =(

I've recently had problem with a popular internet radio site. Once the player opens and the music plays, all Firefox windows become frozen with no possibility of recovery.

When I load up the internet radio channel on http://www.cheriefm.fr, a new window opens with the player, the music starts playing, but all browser windows become frozen. When I force the closier of the player window, Firefox crashes. I thought Firefox 3.6.9 would solve this problem which has only been occuring recently. This used to work fine with previous versions of Firefox.

Have you made sure that all the other drivers for your system are up to date? Unfortunately, there is not an update available for every device, but those that are available should be downloaded first to maximize compatbility with all devices. All drivers available for your system can be found here. The results can also be filtered by device and operating system using the dropdown menus at the top of the page.

Okay then. If your seven numbers are in column B then the formula next to each number in column C would be
=IF(B=0,0,1700/COUNTIF(B,">0"))
This assumes all non-zero numbers are positive numbers. The sum will be 1700.

Update JV then the window is frozen

Dear All,
When we open the JV and update the posting date, the system asked if 'update posting date for each line?' and 'update values according to new value', . After we said yes, the window is frozen. The JV has 120+ lines.
I've tested this from the server directly by using 2 diff users. Same story.
We are on SAP2007A PL09, SQL2005, they have 3rd party add-on (stopped).
I cannot find any note for it. Any idea? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies.
1) They have 2 UDFs. And in that JV, all UDFs are empty
2) I stopped all add-ons when I update the JV
3) I go to document settings >> per document >> JV >> Nothing needs to be setup.
4) I go to form settings of JV >> Document Tab >> General Tab >> It says 'copy posting date to document date'.
Any where I should check?

I'm not quite sure what you want - if you want an overview of all open windows, use the F key.. Otherwise please post back and be more specific.

Programs crash in one of the Windows 7 Accounts

First of all, if you are reading this, I’m sorry it’s so long winded. But the issue is complex and I wanted to provide enough details to allow the best of solutions.
I have two accounts in my Windows 7 Home Premium equipped Satellite L505D laptop. They are Administrator and Owner. I run in the Owner account. I have experienced several issues that have been blamed on problems with the Owner account.
The worst issue is that the PC freezes up if I don’t turn on Silent mode in Norton Internet Suite 2010. If it’s not in Silent mode, the computer freezes up every time. Believing it to be a Norton issue, I spent literally more than 30 hours with Norton techs until the issue was escalated to a senior tech. After several more conversations and trials and errors, he suggested that I switch to Administrator mode and see if the machine freezes with Silent mode turned off. It didn’t freeze up at all. Therefore, it’s Norton’s opinion that there is an issue with "permissions" in the Owner account.
A similar problem is that three or four other programs freeze up. They don’t cause the PC to stop working—only the program stops working. Of them, two are programs that are not on the Windows 7 compatibility list. Knowing they are not on the compatibility list, I installed them anyway and they work with no problem other than they sometimes freeze up. The other program that stops working is MS Outlook 2003, which is on the compatibility list, but it sometimes stops working, too.
A final problem is that in the Owner account, I sometimes can not access files on my desktop PC via my LAN using Windows Explorer. I can always access the files from the Administrator account. In the Owner account, I’m unable to access the files about 1/3 of the time. But if they are accessible, they remain assessable until I turn off one or both of the PCs. When I reboot, it’s always a question whether I can access the files. However, even though I may not be able to view the files in Explorer, I have access to the files from within programs as long as it’s a recently opened file. For example, if I recently worked on a document in Microsoft Word on my laptop and the file is on the desktop PC, I can open the file from the laptop even though I can’t see the file with Windows Explorer. That is true of any program and any file as long as the file is listed in the recent files list of the program. If it’s not on the list and Explorer isn’t working, then I don’t have access to the file.
I have had four or five conversations with Toshiba support techs since Norton gave me their opinion. Three said that I need to so a System Recovery. Two of the calls were today and the first one said that I could delete the Owner account and set up a new account. This would be a lot less time consuming than doing a complete recovery and I was hopeful it would resolve the issue. He was going to walk me through the procedure and we were disconnected. When I called back, the different rep discouraged me against replacing the Owner account. He suggested using a Restore Point. If that didn’t work, follow it with a System Repair. If that didn’t work, then the next step is full System Recovery. I checked the restore points and I have nothing newer than August and the problem dates back several months.
So here are my questions: 1. Should I expect that replacing the current Owner account with a new Owner account will resolve the issue? 2. Could the issue be caused by the installation of programs that are not on the Win 7 compatibility list? 3. If the older programs do cause an operating system instability issue could that by resolved by an upgrade from Windows 7 Premium to Windows 7 Professional, which would allow me to run Windows XP in virtual machine mode?
I would appreciate your input.

Jerry, yes the problem is with the Owner’s acct and has been all along. And it’s in the new account, Danny, which I created at your suggestion. As to whether they were created as "Standard" user accounts, I have to confess that I have no idea. You see, I have never had an appreciation for "Accounts" and, therefore, have never learned about their significance. So when I bought my Toshiba, I didn’t create any account. Although I have since learned that it came with two accounts, all I did was turn it on and start loading programs. I only learned about the Administrator account being separate from the Owner account in my many conversations with Norton. I have used the Owner account all along not by any design on my part. It was because it booted up in the Owner account.
2. Worth tearing Norton out by its roots…
I’ve been anti-Symantec for years. I just haven’t found Internet Security Suite that is rated as highly overall. I’ve been thinking about removing it to see if this problem would go away. I didn’t because the senior tech support person convinced me it is a Windows "Permissions" issue. His viewpoint was more plausible because of the occasional freeze up of other programs (but the PC itself doesn't freeze up with them).
3. There are dozens of Satellite L505Ds…

I was a CompuServe user long before their unfortunate acquisition by AOL. I had a couple of IDs over the years. I don’t remember the long term one. My current ID is DannySall. I logged into the WUGNET forum and found one of my postings from last May to which you replied. Outlook 2003 wouldn’t retain its password. I sent a reply to you on July 25 to say that I resolved the issue by deleting an account.
5. Because of your Microsoft knowledge and connection, I'd like to ask you about something else. I have a few programs that are not on the Windows 7 compatibility list. I figured I had nothing to lose and tried installing them anyway. I was able to install all but one of them. They run with no problem. My question is this: Is it possible that installing non-compatible programs can damage the operating system and cause the problems I have?

Mouse wheel stops scrolling page, and sometimes refresh does not refresh the correct tab, but the first one in the window.

I have 27 firefox windows open with a grand total of 141 tabs.
Some times the input is directed to the wrong window. I will click refresh and it will refresh the first tab in a window, but not the tab I am on. Apparently this also happens when I try and use the mouse wheel or the up and down arrow to scroll a page.
Some times it works correctly on 1 window, but when I switch to another scrolling stops working.
Usually rebooting the computer helps, but I should not have to do that.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance

How do you put new apple ID in instead of old one in the window for signing in or making purchases?

When I sign in or make a purchase, a window pops up with old Apple ID instead new one that I recently changed.

You cannot transfer items to a different iTunes account.
Stick with your original account.

Answer the security questions instead of email.
If you can't get it sorted this way, contact -> iTunes support. (iTunes > iTunes Store > Account management).
If after this, you still cannot get it sorted, use any other email you may have and change the new account to that email address and remove any CC info there.. (you could create an account at gmail and just quit using it after you are done).
Then you can use the current email address for your old iTunes account.

When using one of the Windows 7 (32x) Aero themes, PDF's are displayed semi-transparent.

I can't read PDF's in my Firefox browser anymore. It looks as if they are semi-transparent: The fonts are blurry, and they have the same color as my Aero theme frame. I can see my desktop photo through the fonts. When I save the PDF's and open them offline, they are displayed as they should. The prints also look normal. Btw, when I change to a classic theme, PDF's are displayed normal.

HT2589 When I'm required to enter billing information, the window becomes invisible. Help?

I just got my iPad 1 a few days ago. I'm trying to sign in to the App Store, but when I'm required to enter my (mother's ) billing information, the screen goes blank, and I can only tap aimlessly on the screen to enter random stuff into whatever field it could be. I'm purely guessing as to what the heck I'm supposed to be putting in the (invisible) blanks. Please help me, I really want the Instant Buttons app!

Try resetting your iPad ..
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then tap the App Store icon and see if you can login.

Attempting to do private browsing session froze Firefox, then won't restore one of the 2 windows I had open (with multiple tabs in each). Only 1 window is able to be restored now.

I had 2 windows open in Firefox. Each had multiple tabs open in each window. I then attempted to do private browsing session, but then a pop-up box appeared asking me something about a script (related to private browsing). This froze Firefox. So I had to close Firefox using ctrl-alt-del. I tried to re-open Firefox, but only one of the windows will restore now (with the tabs that were previously open). I clicked on "History" in the menu bar and the "Recently Closed Windows" phrase is grayed out. Is there a way to go about restoring this window? I considered doing a restore to 3 days ago in my History tab, but I am worried that this will erase all the bookmarks I've made in the past 3 days. I've also considered going manually into history and trying to forage through each, but many of these tabs have been open for about a 3-4 weeks now as I've been keeping them all open for research. So they would be buried under hundreds-thousands of other pages. (I've done a lot of browsing). Should I just call it a loss? I appreciate any help.

I removed add-on BetterPrivacy. No problems since then anymore.

The Windows 7 pop up screen at the bottom toolbar does not function with Firefox 4. Instead there are now tabs on top. The Windows 7 feature was handy because one could easily see which pages you're working on. How can I fix this?

One of the Windows 7 features is the pop up box icon at the bottom toolbar which displays which pages are open when scrolling over it. After installing Firefox 4 this function does not work anymore, instead it was replaced by Firefox tabs above.

I believe you are talking about taskbar previews. To enable them you need to change a hidden preference.

Multiple windows... closing one exits the app!

Hi, I've created a simple web browser where the class with the main method is supposed to create some windows and have the app exit when the last window is closed. The problem is that when I go to close just one of the windows all the windows close and the application exits.
Any help is appreciated! :)

setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);I don't know much of Swing but it might have something to do with this line. You might take a look at the Swing tutorials and the API docs.

ITunes become frozen!

I had some problems with my iTouch and I just restored it to solve the problems, now my iTouch is in recovery mode but it can't sync with my iTunes! whenever I plug my iTouch to my computer the iTunes become frozen and not responding at all! What should I do? I use windows XP so please help meee

SAPScript: why the window only show the LAST line

In my form, one of the window only show the LAST line of the it.
I have set the window enough space, also when debuging the program , open_form, write_form,
all of those sy-subrc = 0.
both static texts and dynamic texts are set in the window, but only the last line shown.
Anyone could help me?

Hi,
There are several possibilities to resolve your problem.
You can work with 2 main windows on in1 page.
With NEW-WINDOW you switch to the next main-window
How to use it.
make an item in main window with that /: NEW-WINDOW command
if you are ready with first loop call a WRITE_FORM with that NEW-WINDOW statement.
to cojntinue in the other main.
Other possibility is. (in case there are not ot many lines)
Use for every line other variable names.
Fill these in the loop. And after loop WRITE FORM
eg. (if maximum is 3 lines)
