One region triggered by another region

Hi,
I want to change the rendered property of a component in main page(container of regions) as well as a component in region1 based on value selected in the drop down in region2.
I wrote the following code for region1:

Simply, using 'partialTriggers' as other region's id. But this is not working.Same region component is dynamicallly rendering based on other component state in that region.
How to make one region and main page triggered by another region?
Please reply asap.

Please tell if anyone has any idea of this.

How do I display more than one region as a modal popup?

I have a popup that displays a report region. I now want it to display more than one region, say a report region and another report region underneath it.

Submitting one region on a page

All,
I need help with partial submit of one region on a page. Ive a file browse item on one region and when i click the "attach button" on this region i want to attach only this file but not to submit the entire page, can someone help i'll appreciate.

...or can you suggest to me a better way to attach a file via "file browse" item without SUBMIT the page?I'm not really tracking here. I just went to one of my apps that is designed to upload files and has a 'File Browse' item. When using IE, I click the 'Browse' button. I select a file. I click 'Open'. The file is now displayed in the file-browse page item. None of these actions have caused the page to be submitted. That is one definition of 'Attach' -- I don't think that's what you mean.
I am guessing based on what you indicated in your first message that you have another button on your page called 'Attach' that performs a function to submit the page and run processing code to attach the file thus identified to the record on-screen. If this is the case, then you have control over what happens when that button gets pressed.

Hello,
You cannot put one region inside another. You can build html constructs that make it look like you are doing that though.

How to copy all tables, triggers, etc from one user schema to another

Hello everybody!
I am searching for a QUERY or Stored Procedure to copy the tables of one user schema to another schema.
Should look kind of: Copy (Select * from all_objects where owner = 'UserIwantToCopyFrom') to user = 'UserIwantToCopyTO'
I am sure that my example is rubbish but I tried to explain what I want to do.
So is there a chance to do that within sql-code? I have to build a template of a user schema with hundreds of tables, triggers, etc and copy it to several other user schemas.

Multiple forms in one region???

Hello guys,
I have created application with couple of pages, but now I have one critical issue with one page.
In this page I have created multiple forms in one region by customize templated, that is working very much fine, but I unable to insert/update data into the DB table through this page.
My sinceraio is something like that, I have couple of tables, where p_id is common in all of the tables, now this issue page I have created multiple(2) forms in one region where both the forms are built but two separated DB tables in one both of them has one column in common ie p_id, the value of p_id is processed from the previous page.
I am aware of the apex limitation about one table for region and hence I created View from this two different tables and above that created INSTEAD OF trigger for insert and update purpose as through I can't, so.

But still I am unable to get any sucess.... if somebody can help me out...????

Region formatting - multiple tables inside one region?

Hey there. first of all, I wondered if anyone had a good reference for formatting regions. I am having some difficulty finding good material.
What I am trying to do is create 3 tables inside a region, each with different backgrounds, displayed side by side. like this:

I'm completely at a loss as of how to get the next table to come back up to the top. I am using template 16, which puts a border around regions and makes them minimize-able, so I want it to be all or nothing. any help in this formatting dilemma would be awesome.

and wrap each of the report tables within DIV tags.I have one region based on one sql query. I just need to display fields I specified on the one sql query to appear in 3 different columns in the region.

Hi Manoj,
Right now all charts functions based on the standard region provided by SAP. In this case i would request you to keep a push button or toggle button to display to your data based on your logic.

need to do at my work place.
I have two questions.
1) In your explanation link (takes me to your blog) you say you made changes to a copy of the Report Template and placed this copy into a copy of the Standard Page Template. However, I see that your reports are set to "No Template".
I've probably missed something here, but don't know what.
2) A more general question ... I'm intrigued in how you get tab item in, say, your Section 4 Tab Set (or any of the other Tab Sets) to "Stand Out" in bold letters
when clicked on. How are you doing this?

Apex v4. has parent and child regions (subregions) where child regions display inside the parent. If you make the child regions with no template, they will probably appear as if it's just two reports in one region.
Problem is, they display one above the other, not side by side. But there's been a recent thread on working around this just in the past few days on this forum.

Hi Marco,
You can have as many reports in a region as you like. When you create a report just put it in the same region position - using the sequence numbering to put them in the order you want them to appear.
However, I think what you really mean is that you want to specify one value for the page that can be used for both reports?
If so, all you need to do is have a hidden page item at the TOP of the page and set this value with your column link. ALL your reports can then use this value as a filter.
It is also possible to use Application Items - these are created through Shared Components and can be set/used anywhere

How do I shorten one region and take up slack keeping later regions intact and in synch in short story spoken word reading

I import one track which is one region and it is a little more than one hour long. It is the import from the master, It is a spoken word short story and the reader makes a a few flubs/miscues in reading. He repeats to redo text where he makes reading mistakes. So, I have a story in one track-spoken word. Now, I edit out mistakes and finish the first draft.
There are now 100 regions in the track. I go back to fine tune the edit and recheck for reading mistakes and editing mistakes. In region 10 I realize I must cut a portion out because of an extraneous word mishap. This spilt makes region 10 shorter. Now I must move ALL regions, 11-100, up to take up the unwanted gap. How do I get all, 11-100 regions to move up and keep the story intact, in synch?
Then, in region 20 I realize I must lengthen it, part of a sentence is cut off. I re-import the original to a new track and find the sentence I need and spilt the track so I can replace the faulty region 20 with the new and longer region 20. Now, region 21-100 need to move downstream to make room for the longer replacement region.
How do I get 21-100 to move as one unit, downstream so I can add 20 and keep everything in sync?
I do not think, or at least hope, I have to select each 21-100 regions individually.

a less obvious way would be select all the regions (click in the track header) and choose the Join menuItem to create one large region out of all the peices, then you're moving only a sngle region after your edit point

just grab the bottom right corner of the region and drag to the right to bring back the missing section

Concerning midi data in GarageBand for iOS: can we copy midi data from one virtual instrument to another?
For instance: I play my "lucky take" on the virtual piano, and now I am curious how it would sound on let's say a organ. Normally I would select the midi content out of the piano track and copy it into the organ track. I cannot figure out how to do this in GarageBand for iOS. Is there anyone out there with a solution?

It is limited, how you can move regions between tracks. Basically, you can move between tracks with the same touch instrument. See the help: http://help.apple.com/garageband/ipad/2.0/index.html#chsec12c15d
Move a region
Drag the region left or right to move it forward or back in time. Align the left edge of the region with the bar or beat on the ruler where you want it to start playing.
Drag the region up or down to move it to another track with the same Touch Instrument. You can also drag regions between Keyboard and Sampler tracks, and between Audio Recorder and Guitar Amp tracks. Smart Drums regions cannot be dragged to another Smart Drums track.
If you move a region so that it overlaps another region, the overlapped part of the “covered” region is deleted.
Paste a region
You can paste a region you have copied, or paste an audio file from an app that supports copying audio to the clipboard. GarageBand supports 44.1 kHz sample rate, 16-bit depth uncompressed audio files.
You can paste copied regions to another track with the same Touch Instrument. You can also paste regions between Keyboard and Sampler tracks, and between Audio Recorder and Guitar Amp tracks. Smart Drums regions cannot be pasted to another Smart Drums track. Audio files copied from another app can be pasted to Audio Recorder or Guitar Amp tracks.
Move the playhead to the point where you want the region to start.
Tap the header of the track where you want to paste the region to select the track.
Tap the track where you want to paste the region, then tap Paste.You can also tap an empty area of Tracks view, then tap Paste. In this case the region is pasted into the currently selected track.
