One_Session in form 6.0 ? Help !!!

Hello,
I want to restrict user that user can not open two session for
the Forms Application.
For the same I am using Forms 6.0 And I have written the
following code in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE Trigger but it is not
working properly.
So How can I restrict the user for the same.

From your question, I take it you have Photoshop Elements 5.0.
You should ask over in the Photoshop Elements forum how to restore catalogs. I hope you have back ups of your images because the organizer doesn't physically store your images.

How to print a signature in Adobe form using PCL - HELP!

Hello,
I'm using Adobe LiveCycle and I'm trying to get my form to print a signature at the bottom right on the given signature line. Our HP LaserJet printer has a SIMM installed which contains the signature in digitized form. I need to issue a hexadecimal instruction using PCL which contains the code that tells the printer to print the stored signature. I know this is doable in SAPscript, but is it doable in Adobe???

I think it is handled differently in Adobe forms as here all the print data is created by ADS.

Contact form without PHP Help!

I'm trying to create a contact form to send an email to me
when they click on the submit button. I'm using the "getUrl and
Mailto). It works when I set the variables manually, but I can't
get it to store the value of the user input fields to use in my
message body.
This has got to be a simple matter of syntax or placement of

I don't think you're going to have any luck processing a contact form without the support of some server-side scripting that is capable of interacting with the server.

Problem with a Form field, need help

I work for a small police agency and I am our IT guy. Most of my IT tasks have many been hardware and system software and networking. I have been trying to learn and teach myself programming. I also create forms for agency use. I have been working on a form and want to add increased functionality to allow our officers to issue a citation with the least amount of time spend on the form. One main issue is that we have to have a unique citation number. We have come up with a format that will specify as such: YYYY(Officer's 4 Digit ID Number)-(Auto Incrementing number). So, for instance, if this is my 55th citation issued and my ID number is 0100 the citation number would appear like this: 20120100-0055. The ID number will be entered by the officer earlier in the form. The problem I can't seem to vision around is how I will keep the number to increase by one and have it maintain that way. I want it to be form specific, because each officer has their own vehicle and MDT that the PDF will reside on at this time.
So far, what I have toyed with in the past 30 minutes is this:

Eventually the form will be autocreated by a program that will be run from a centralized server. I have even thought about running the from from a server and taking all the data and INSERTing it into a SQL Server 2008 Express DB table on a server, but I'd still have to have the citation number created at the form as the officer fills in the data. The last four of the number doesn't have to reset when the year changes, but it would be a plus. Any information anyone can help with I would appreciate it.

Seems like it was too easy, is it safe to assume that javascript and javascript functioning in Adobe PDF is a bit different learning curve? That does help, the only thing that I'm missing is the Auto Incrementing 4 digit number. I was toying with assigning a variable in the globals that would auto increment but having problems with how I would execute it. Each copy of the form would be installed on each officers MDT so the number would be specific to that officer. The format will be YYYY"OFCIDNo"-####. I would like to assign the number to the global variable on the execution of the Print Dialog. This way the officer an clear the form if he/she needs to start over and then it stays whether or not they close the file and reopen it.
That syntax has been very helpful to get started.

Adding pages to an Adobe form? PLEASE HELP!!

Right now I'm working on a project for an engineering company. The gentleman in charge had two requirements.
1). "I want to have a form like the government has". Meaning
that he wants to be able to fill them out and then store
them. With the help of Adobe Designer 7 I was able to do
that.
2.) "I want the pages to move down like Word Perfect does."
Meaning that when the box fills up, the program that you
are doing data entry on simply moves down to another
page and allows you to fill it in.
I know this may sound kind of stupid but there is a reason for this madness. This is a quote form that this gentleman is using. If
he ever needs to print this form out. He needs to be able to see all of
the data that he has entered. From my experience, it seems that you can
enter all the data that you want and then when you fill up the text field. A scroll bar appears on the right hand side that allows you to move up and down in the text field to see what you have entered. But when you go to print, you only get what is seen in the text field.
Which of course is no good for my employer. Who, when he prints out this filled in form. Needs to be able to see ALL of the data that he has entered. To be honest, I am quite green with Adobe Designer and I could use the help.
Are you able to add new pages to an existing Adobe document?
If you are, how do you do it?
I have discovered one other option while messing around with Adobe Designer 7. In the "Insert" menu there is an option that says simply "button" when learning more about this interactive object. I learned that several are included in the "Insert" field. My question is, can I write a script that would allow me to use this button to add new pages when needed? Would this script be written in Java I take it?
Any help from Adobe guru's, newbys, etc would be wonderful. I would like to make this work. Thank you very much in advance.

My guess is that he's referring to forms such as the 1040 form which allows people with just Acrobat Reader to complete AND save a form. The only way to do this is to have Adobe's Livecycle Reader Extensions. This is an "Enterprise" level (in other words: really expensive server-based) program. I talked to an Adobe rep and she said this program is generally based on the number of forms you want to enable, starting at $10,000 per document. Unfortunately Adobe's documentation on this is incredibly lacking. And the product info on Acrobat 7.0 Pro is (or was) very misleading when it says that with Designer you can enable documents to be completed and saved with Acrobat Reader, cause its not the case at all. End-users will need either Acrobat Elements, Acrobat Standard, or Acrobat Pro in order to be able to save a completed document.
As for a dynamic form that expands (and adds pages) as necessary depending on user input, that is something that you can do with Designer. Designer can create two types of forms, static and dynamic. The default type is static. If you have a form right now that is not expanding, then you need to save as and in the save as filetype dropdown select "Dynamic PDF Form File." Its important to note that a dynamic file cannot be created in any other program (such as Word, Excel or InDesign). The form has to be created from scratch in designer.

Form problem, Please Help

I have a Form that contains multiple texxt boxes from a table, i also have a LOV on one various text boxes that queries other tables to give back a value. On the choosing of a value the ID that represents that value populates the text box. As this represents a name, i would prefer the text box to do one of the following:
a, Contain the name rather than the ID and then when the Insert is pressed the name is changed to the ID to store correctly in the db and changed back when queried to show the name i.e. whenever the value is visible it always shows the name, and whenver an update or insert is conducted it converts it back to the ID for storage.
b, Hide/show the initial text box with the IDs in, and have another text box that works on a query that will display the name based on the ID in teh text box

You can change your text box to a combo box and the lov connected to provide the list of values is written with the name field as the first item, and the id as the second. The user only sees the names but the id value is the one that gets stored to the table.

PDF form field calculation help needed

I need to make some simple calculations on a pdf form and need some help.
I have a form field for number of guests.
A field for a set cost for various tickets (there are 3 levels of ticket prices) (I might not need this field).
A subtotal of the guests attending and ticket price.
A grand total of the subtotals.
I can't figure out how to either put in a fixed cost in a form field or input a calculation so that the number of tickets is muliplied by a fixed number and gives me a subtotal.

Ok. I finally got the calculations to work. But..... when I save and open in Reader, they don't work. Go back to Pro, they don't work there now either. They also don't show up under the Set Field Order Calculations. To reset them, i have to erase the calculations, save, redo the calculations. Preview the form and everything works — calculations happen and i get a total.
Adobe Reader usage rights are enabled.
Why is this so hard?

Ok. Apparently you have to enable reader rights after the form is done. It seems to work now. What a pain.

I am currently having trouble with an attached PDF fill-able form...Help Please

Hello, I was wondering if you would be able to help me out?
I am having trouble with my attached PDF fill-able form, I am creating a form that has a limit of one page so in order for more room in a certain field I have added a Hyperlink to an additional fill-able(secondary) form within the Parent document (primary fill-able form. The secondary form is inserted as an attachment into the Primary form. My problem is when I open this document up in Adobe Reader, the Primary fill-able form is savable but the attached Secondary form for which the hyperlink leads to is non-savable and is a must print only. Is there a way to make the Secondary form savable as well within the same document? or is there another way I could execute what it is I am trying to achieve?
Help would be greatly appreciated please and thank you!

Here is the code, thought I had put it in the first time, guess not heh. Anyway, I converted the arrayList(accountList) to a String so that I could see the that element I am trying to index is in there, which it is. I also checked the file that i'm populating the arrayList from and it also has the element in it.

After Firefox 12, some fields in forms in our help desk application do not display correctly. They appear as horizontal scroll fields instead.

We use a Help Desk system at work (BMC Remedy IT Service Management). In version 12 of Firefox, all fields are displayed correctly in the form. However, if I upgrade to any version greater than 12, some of the fields display as horizontal scroll fields (without showing the data in them). As such, I am forced to stay on version 12 for work.

Php form mailer/Flash help

I have a php form that I am using with my Flash file. It
works great so far, but I would like to get confirmation from the
php in the Flash file, that the info has really been sent. I think
it is already sent up in the php, but I don't know how to handle it
in my Flash file. The php file is attached. Do I use the echo? How
would I do that? What I want, is in my Flash file to say sending,
until I get then feedback from the php, and then say, sent
successfully.

In Forms i have created a data block based on table department and for managing the nested table courses_tab i found out that i should use a stored procedure:

Hi Francois. Thank you very much for your reply, but it seems that i still get errors. So let me tell what i have done.
As you suggested me: i have done a block based on a sub-query for the nested-table:
'select courses from department where name= :department.name'.
In the master block(department) i have the when-new-record-instance trigger:

HR FORMS Print layout help

I'm modifying the Multiple Worksite Report - combine located at pu19. I have created a wage type to put the amounts in it, and I extended the form to 90 chars width to accomadate the new type. My problem is when I run the report, every new record gets a new page. I look at pe51 for country 10, form name UMWR, under attribute the max line is 65, so don't know what is happening. any help will be great!

PDF form javascript time help needed

I am creating a fillable form using time formats and I need help with 2 parts. First part is at the top. I would like the total time to display in hours. It should take total loaded departed minus total loaded arrived time and total it into the first Total Time box as hours but I can only get it to display as a number. Every time I tried to format it as a time it would give me an error.
Second part I need help with is down toward the bottom. It's called 030-LOAD DELAY. This will also display as a time format. It will take that top Loaded Time Total and subtract an hour. How do I do that?
I have been googling for hours and hours on this. There's so many ways to do this but every time I try different ways, it doesn't work and I end up confusing myself even more.
(and btw, I'm using acrobat version 9)

Ok. I finally got the calculations to work. But..... when I save and open in Reader, they don't work. Go back to Pro, they don't work there now either. They also don't show up under the Set Field Order Calculations. To reset them, i have to erase the calculations, save, redo the calculations. Preview the form and everything works — calculations happen and i get a total.
Adobe Reader usage rights are enabled.
Why is this so hard?
