One VO used on two pages creating problem.-Nullpointer error

Hello All,
I have extended one VO on one page "ponAwardByQuotePG". I am done with that. But this VO is used on second next page as well.
After pressing one "AWARD" button on 1st page , it goes to 2nd page "ponAwardQuotePG". Both these pages use same VO which i have extended. Whenever I press Save Award GO button on second page, it throws NULLPOINTER exception error attached herewith. I have also attached the flow of steps along with corresponding VO and AM code.
I found following thing in 2nd page's CO even though my VO is extended as "XXEGAAwardByQuoteVOEx" , its showing following in CO:
AwardByQuoteVO awardbyquotevo = (AwardByQuoteVO)awardbyquoteam.findViewObject("AwardByQuoteVO");

I found following thing in 2nd page's CO even though my VO is extended as "XXEGAAwardByQuoteVOEx" , its showing following in CO:
AwardByQuoteVO awardbyquotevo = (AwardByQuoteVO)awardbyquoteam.findViewObject("AwardByQuoteVO");controller code won't change when you substitute the VO. You will see it only at the runtime.
And to verify the substitution at the run time, select the "About this Page" link and expand the "Business Component References Details".
And to debug the error in the standard controller, you need to decompile the controller file and include it in your project.
This will show you the exact problem from where you can proceed further. You can use jad tool for decompilation.

Is there a way to publish pages created by other applications to .Mac?
This may seem like a silly thing, but every year I run an NCAA basketball pool (all legal, of course). I have run this on my web site with my own domain, but would like to make the switch to my .Mac site. The software that I use to run the pool creates web files to upload to your site. With my old site, I would just create a page with a link to the pages, and upload everything. Is there a way to add files to your .Mac web folder somehow? Does this make any sense?

Publish your files to a folder, then copy the whole folder to your iDisk/Sites/ folder. To get your iDisk mounted to your desktop, look under the Go menu of the Finder, then select "iDisk", then select "My iDisk".
For example....if you publish your b-ball pool site to a folder called "bball". Then copy this folder to Sites folder at the root of your iDisk. You can then, access the web pages at the following Homepages URL:
http://homepage.mac.com/yourdotmacname/bball/index.html (substitute your .Mac username and the appropriate start page name, of course).
That's it!
This is different from your iWeb site, but if you ever design pages in iWeb and publish them, you can simply provide a link on those pages to the above Homepages URL.

I want to install mac osx Mavericks on a seagate internal raw hard . I downloaded "RecoveryDiskAssistant" and install it in a usb drive, before installing I made partition for new harddisk , and I stadted to install it through internet without problem,
But after 10% it says: ""Use the purchases page to try again"" . and after clicking okey it`s installing bar doesnt go forward(Most comments which I found was about app strore but in this step I have no access to app store) . could you please help me what to do?

Using the software update created problems

Ok so I bought Leopard and upgraded from Tiger, then updated using the software update. Now I have a whole bunch of problems. My Apple Works is now missing, the program is just gone. All my Adobe programs now give me the error of Incompatible with current OS or some Your Licensing is not working error. I have a whole load of Adobe programs that should be working, like Contribute CS 3 and Photo Shop and Illustrator and Designer and so on. All of which worked under the 4.11 and the 5.1 OSes but now no longer work. This isn't even touching on the elimination of the Classic environment which i have a lot of programs that will cost way too much money to buy again for the new OS.
Anybody know how to get back Apple Works and how to get the Adobe products running again?

First set of problems, I had two software packaged programs go missing. Totally erased from the system. iWeb and Apple Works.
This would not happen after a software update, unless the directory got damaged somehow*:

That would give the machine a difficult time trying to find files on the computer.
Next set of problems my external firewire drive stopped being seen from the system.
This most commonly happens if a Firewire hard drive does not have the proper firmware to be used with the operating system in question. This is one reason most people recommend dismounting and disconnecting all third party devices before applying updates. This used to be a more common problem with 10.3, but not out of the realm of experience of people with 10.5.
The next most common cause is the clock battery dying, but not quite dead. Replacing it can fix that problem as well.
I should say that my system consists of several computers networked together.
I would have completely disconnected the computers before applying the update.
I can take my external firewire back up time machine drives and connect them to a PC and see the data. But my macs do not even recognise them, they don't even show up when plugged in.
This is further evidence the firmware on the hard drive was not yet updated for compatibility with the operating system.
Third set of problems, all the apple install disks became unreadable by my system.
This can be commonly caused by a dying optical drive, or bad permissions on the system, or a dying clock battery.
Fourth set of problems, all the Adobe programs became un-useable and returned errors. Adobe has been working with me on this and have been far more helpful than Apple has been.
That's a case of corrupt files, or files which were migrated from another system. Migration that is done improperly from a PowerPC to an Intel system may create issues with powerpc plugins on an Intel Mac. If your hard drive got over 85% full and/or the directory was damaged for any reason (especially forced reboots), that can also trigger such a reaction during an update.
Fifth set of problems just recently discovered, all my stored movies, music and podcast in iTunes is gone.
This is usually due to a directory issue, but can also be a dying hard drive issue.
Sounds like you have multiple symptoms pointing towards a few common possible causes. Directory damage, and clock battery malfunctioning, and needing a better firmware on your Firewire hard drive case. Replacing the hard drive case with a compatible one is simple enough. http://www.macsales.com/ makes the right cases. I would not go with LaCie, Western Digital, or Seagate cases. Western Digital and Seagate internal hard drives are fine in of themselves. Replace the MyBook hard drive cases with http://www.macsales.com/ cases and same with the LaCies.
I have Apple TV and EYE TV and a Midi interface box attached to my G5 mac. My G5 is the one that lost Apple Works and iWeb.
Remove the Midi interface box. It may help things work better.
My systems have the super drive on them and I have virtual PC and Softwindows installed.
Softwindows barely works if at all under Classic, and VirtualPC only works with version 7.0.2 under Leopard. If you got an earlier version working under Leopard you were lucky. You really needed to migrate to a supported emulator under Leopard listed on my FAQ*:

It says you didn't research your options well enough before upgrading to Leopard. This has been well documented in the forums before this.
Booted up from the Norton disks and repaired disk.
This is the biggest flaw in your plans, which caused ALL your problems. Norton is not compatible with any version of Mac OS X. It eats directories for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Only Alsoft Disk Warrior is safe and only after a data recovery attempt with Prosoft Data Rescue II, Subrosasoft Filesalvage, or Boomerang's Boomerang. We have constantly harped on the forums here that Norton is damaging to data. This has been known about since Mac OS X came out. It has even been called "Norton Kevorkian" by some.
You can't blame Apple for this. Your lack of research and lack of asking in the right places at the right time led to your failures.

Is there a possibility to use a Combo control as a text control or vice-versa?
I need to use one control with two functionalities, one to enter a free text and other to select from combo list at the same time. (In search scenario)

Hi,
no, this is not possible as normally there is a combo validation active for the underlying BQ property.
What you can do is to create 2 controls, one for the combo, one for free text and put them exactly on top of each other., both of them hidden.
In the onload event and in the place where you are able to decide which should be active you can toggle the property from hidden to normal and vice versa for both controls.
Of course both controls need to be unbound and mapped to the particular BQ property/properties but this depends from your scenario.

The schema location used to register the XML schema with XML DB does not need to be a valid URL for accessing the XML Schema
I can use the same URL , for instance

on machines dbserver1, and dbserver2. The only reason some people choose to use the hostname / portnumber convention is that this makes it possible to validate the XML Instance documents against the copy of the XML schema stored in the XML DB repository using an external tool like XMLSpy without have to add entries to XMLSpy's OASIS catalog files.
I am concerned about the message you are getting. That's not correct AFAICT but I'd need to see the complete XML Schema and Instance to be sure.

Is it possible to have one library used between two users?

Hello, I am setting up a friend's computer to have a seperate user for him and for his wife. The computer has been in use for about a year with just one user. Adding the second one makes sense for everything they use the computer for--except iPhoto. They have roughly 11,000 images in the library and want to be able to access, edit, export, etc them from whichever user is logged on. They would like it to work so that when one user adds images to the library, the other user has access to them as well. I looked into the sharing photos option, but it seems to restrict you to read only access when viewing shared libraries. Any suggestions on the best option for them? They are using a dual G5 Tower running iPhoto 5.0.4

With the proper privileges, this can be done with aliases. It works this way:
Choose the most up-to-date iPhoto Library folder (located at your user folder/Pictures) and move it to the Shared folder inside the Users folder at the root level of the hard drive. Click on the iPhoto Library folder, press Command-I to call up the iPhoto Library Info window, click on the Ownership & Permissions triangle, and then click on the Details triangle below. Select Read & Write from the Access pop-up menu directly beneath the Group pop-up menu, select Read & Write from the Others pop-up menu, and then close the Info window. Hold down the Command and option keys and drag the iPhoto Library folder back to the Pictures folder to create an alias.
Switch to your son’s user account, change the name of his iPhoto Library to something like iPhoto Library Old (in case you want to use this library again), open the Shared folder within the Users folder, and Command-option-drag that folder’s iPhoto Library folder to your son’s Pictures folder to create an alias.

Most likely the person responsible for permissions in your database could help you out there. If you're here looking for a way to execute commands that you aren't authorized to execute, you are wasting your time.

One method used in two classes

I have one method in class A and I need to use it (only this method) in class B. what should I do? Should I create subclass within class A with this method, and then use it in class B or create completely different class C with only this method?

It's a good idea to use Java conventions about cAsE: especially since boolean and Boolean are different beasts.
So:

This is a bit of a contrived example, because example() always returns the same thing. eg is initialised as an instance of MyExample but that class has no state so the method is effectively static. If MyExample had state and the method call did something genuine involving this state, then things would get interesting - and it is precisely then that subclassing, extracting someMethod() into some other class, or inlining it where it was used would make no sense.

After Creating a RecordSet using Wizard, Unable to Create RecordSet Paging - Error Occurs

I created a record set using the wizard and it tested just fine using the test button. So my next step was to create the "RecordSet Paging" "Move to First Record", whe I select this I get the error "Before using this Server Behavior, please create a record set"
The record set is there, it is even checked off in the binding list as being there, yet I can not do anything, I even went in and deleted it and tried again with the same result, this is getting very annoying and is causing me a lot of extra work.
Is this a BUG!!!
I have seen this issue several times now.

Can 119 phantom asslys at one bom level create problem in product costing

I am going through a scenario where there r 119 phantom assemlies at one bom level. Can this create problem in product costing? It has been told to me by somebody that there can not be more than 99 phantom asslys at one level of bom? Is that true? My problem is that when i am doing product costing it is showing error-" too many dummies at bom level". Is this related to no. of phantom asslys at one bom level?

all the materials are costing relevent. I thik this problem is releteted with no. of phantom assemlies allowed at one bom level.
I had 119 phantom assemlies at bom level 3 of a varient material. At that time it gives me abap runtime error during product costing.
Now I have removed special procurment key 50 from material master of 20 number of phantom asslys. so now there r now 99 phantom assemlies at bom level 3.
I have taken costing run and its not giving error.
so i reached to conclusion that statndard limit of no. of phantom assemlies at one bom level can not exeed 99.
Now customer requires 119 phantom assleys at this level 3 of bom.
So can u suggest me whether i should contact sap to increase this limit for this perticular case?
will they solve my problem or there is any other solution to this?

Illustrator CS3 - Double sided Business Card in two pages PDF

Hi,
How do you create a double sided business card in Illustrator CS3 and be able save on one PDF document with two pages? I know how to create a single sided business card (90 mm x 55 mm with 5mm bleed) and save in PDF without any problems. I'm now trying to create a two sided business card in the same illustrator file and be able to save as one PDF but with two pages.
I searched a bit and tried playing around with page titling but the result just isn’t working out (the size of the business card in the PDF is too small).
Any help would be really appreciated!

I downloaded CS5 trail and it resolved my issue. So much more easier to create a two sided business cards and save in PDF.

I just purchased this product (acrobat online)
and it is not allowing me to do the things it promised, e.g. saving portions of one pdf to another, combining pages or entire docuements to create, even typing into a document (editing)! I am so frustrated - can someone please help!?

But I jut paid $89.00 for the adobe pack - if I subscribe to Acrobat Plus, will that be credited?

Hi,
Thank you for your subscription. If you are Acrobat Plus subscriber then you can extract the pages from the PDF file using Tools> Pages> Extract pages.
You can find "Tools" at right top once you open your PDF file in Acroat.
If you are subscriber to PDF Pack then please download Acrobat XI Plus from www.adobe.com.
PDF Pack service offers "Convert to PDF", "Export from PDF"(to Word/PowerPoint/Excel/RTF formats so that you can edit the exported files) and "Combine Files" (combine your files into a single PDF file).
Please let me know if you have any quesitons.
