One website page looks wrong in IE9 after template propogation

For some years I have been updating about 10-12 pages in my website each month from a template (in Dreamweaver CS3).  The change is just a date update.  After the September update, one page of the relevant child pages is displaying the date in the wrong font and colour.  I have tried re-putting but the error is stuck.  Trying different fonts and colours just results in other wrong fonts/colours.  This one page is out of step.
I do not know why this is happening.  Particularly as Chrome and Firefox display all pages correctly.
The offending page is here:
http://www.davidcolepictures.co.uk/artlinks.html
When viewed in IE9 the date is rendered differently to the other main pages linked in the lefthand side table.
Grateful for any explanation or remedy.
Thanks.

You have 2 embedded CSS styles effecting this date
<p class="style57"><span class="style66">SEPTEMBER 2011</span><br>
</p>
In your embedded CSS, you have multiple rules for .style57 and .style 66.  Suggest you comb through the code carefully & resolve conflicts.  Also as Murray said earlier, remove the HTML comments <!--  --> from your CSS code.

    Imageshack makes the same problems. Totally build wrong. No use of the clickbuttons (like login, my images etc)
    Other forums don't show images and reply buttons etc.
    I have deinstalled Firefox and reinstalled. I have checked the suggestions about problemsolutions but cannot find the answer.
    All websites function normal at internet explorer.
    This all happened after a clean up bij CCleaner and an automatic windowsupdate.
    kind regards,
    Jet Kuil

    All caches - I think - are cleared when I used CCleaner and the deinstallation.
    But without doing anything Firefox is working normal again so this might have been an exterior problem - that now is solved.

  • Firefox cannot load websites but others can, websites look wrong, started happening after i ran some update. i am not computer literate

    that is all the details i can provide, is there anyway for phone assist otherwise i'm screwedc

    Start with this;
    Type '''about:preferences#advanced'''<Enter> in the address bar.
    Under '''Advanced,''' Select '''Network.'''
    Look for '''Configure How Firefox Connects''' and press the '''Settings''' button.
    Check the settings.
    Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set
    to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your
    updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow
    Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
    * Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
    * Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
    '''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/configure-firewalls-so-firefox-can-access-internet Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet.]''' {web link}
    If there is still a problem, go to that computer and do this;
    Type '''about:support''' in the address bar and press '''Enter.'''
    Under the main banner, press the button; '''Copy Text To Clipboard.'''.
    Then in the reply box at the bottom of this page,
    do a right click in the box and select '''Paste.'''
    This will show us your system details.

  • Booklet converted to .pdf is fine for printing/folding, but for putting pdf file online website - pages in wrong order.  How to fix?

    I created a booklet in Publisher and then saved as .pdf file to post on a website.  When printed, pages are ok for folding and printing in the right order, but the .pdf file to look at shows pages out of order.  is there a way to fix this?

    Not with Reader.
    You would probably need to rebuild the original document and recreate the pdf.

  • When I try to open one web page is coming very late after 45 seconds later even more late why?

    I am using firefox since very long time. I have a problem now on opening the selected pages. They are coming very late I mean they are opening very late about 45 up to one minute later the pages are oıpening which are very late. I tried few minutes ago Chrome and I saw that it is working very fast without any problem. What I have to do now ?, Uninstall the firefox and use the chore as web browser or will you find a solution to my broblem?.

    I choose to find a solution. Please check that you don't have any Skype extensions or plugins in Firefox. Skype is known to slow down Firefox 300 times.

  • 2 questions in one - merging pages from different docs/ and new templates

    Hi all
    As the title says really:
    1. I had a problem with page two of a doc, so i have two docs, one for p1 and 1 for p2 - what's the best way to merge them? I don't want to lose any formatting on either one of any sort, just end up with a two page doc of merged info.
    2. Is there an online place to find new iweb templates either free or inexpensive? Maybe a user forum where people share templates?
    David

    Hello David
    1. Best thing to do is do View>Show Page Thumbnails. Select the page you want to copy from one document to the other. Edit>Copy then move to your other document and paste it in. Be aware that Pages will have to fit your content to the destination document. So global things like the document margins etc. need to be the same. If they are not, you may find that some extra work is required to get the formatting right.
    2. This post might help you: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1309524&#1309524.
    Good luck

    Try posting at the Web Development / Standards Evangelism forum at MozillaZine. The helpers over there are more knowledgeable about web page development issues with Firefox. <br />
    http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=25 <br />
    You'll need to register and login to be able to post in that forum.
    Make sure you provide the URL for the problematic page, so they can see the problem for themselves.

    1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the block elements. The elements within these blocks have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the block itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the block element and place a second block element within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.
    2) No margin has been given to the columns since they are all floated. If you must add margin, avoid placing it on the side you're floating toward (for example: a right margin on a block set to float right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For blocks where this rule must be broken, you should add a "display:inline" declaration to the block element's rule to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin.
    3) Since classes can be used multiple times in a document (and an element can also have multiple classes applied), the columns have been assigned class names instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar blocks could be stacked if necessary. These can very easily be changed to IDs if that's your preference, as long as you'll only be using them once per document.
    4) If you prefer your nav on the left instead of the right, simply float these columns the opposite direction (all left instead of all right) and they'll render in reverse order. There's no need to move the blocks around in the HTML source.

    I am not sure what's happening with IE9 (no live site) but I had real problems viewing your code in Live View - until I removed the HTML comment marked below. Basically your site was viewable in Design View but as soon a I hit Live view, it disappeared - much like IE9. See if removing the comment solves your issue.

    That may be part of the coding that the web page is using.

    Having a single internal hard drive overfilled (drives slow as they fill) is very likely contributing to your problems, but IMO "my Aperture library being on the same internal Tera byte drive as my operating system" is very unlikely to be contributing to your problems. In fact the Library should stay on an underfilled (roughly, for speed, I would call ~half full "underfilled") internal drive, not on the Drobo.
    Instead build a Referenced-Masters workflow with the Library and OS on an internal drive, Masters on the Drobo, OS 10.6.8 (there have been issues reported with OS 10.7 Lion). Keep Vault backup of the Library on the Drobo, and of course back up all Drobo data off site.
    No matter what you do with i/o your C2D Mac is not a strong box for Aperture performance. If you want to really rock Aperture move to one of the better 2011 Sandy Bridge Macs, install 8 GB or more of RAM and build a Referenced-Masters workflow with the Library and OS on an internal solid state drive (SSD).
    Personally I would prefer investing in a Thunderbolt RAID rather than in a Drobo but each individual makes his/her own network speed/cost decisions. The Drobo should work OK for referenced Masters even though i/o is limited by the Firewire connection.
    Do not forget the need for off site backup. And I suggest that in the process of moving to your new setup it is most important to get the data safely and redundantly copied and generally best to disregard how long it may take.

  • I can't access this one website, when I get page load error message, even when my cookies/cache are cleared?

    For the past couple of days, I'm not able to access this one website: http://www.eboards4all.com/364378/. In the past, I've been able to access it fine, even on Safari, up until last Wednesday. Then I've been getting the page load error message on Firefox or page not loading message on Safari. I've asked others who use our forum via email about it--they're able to get to it fine. I believe, this all started, when I downgraded Firefox on my OS X, last week, by accident, and had to go to a lower 3. My Imac is 6 years old and I don't have money for the latest versions or the new one to come out last week.

    If you think it might be your Firefox version, you might be able to run 3.5.19. Certainly that would be more secure than 3.0.11.
    ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.5.19/mac/en-US/
    I recommend backing up your Firefox settings first in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

  • Last website i looked at is the page that opens when i start firefox

    I basicly dont want firefox to go to the last website i looked at when i start it. i have tried to change the option to warn me when closeing more than one tab. but it doesent show up. i have tried to reinstall firefox but it still opens with the last website i opened. dont know what to do anymore and i would realy hate to have to reinstall windows because of this, but its so anoying that i will soon do this =(
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == I accedentaly pressed the option (warn when closing more tabs thing)

    Nesse,
    You'll want to change the "When Firefox starts" setting under Tools -> Options -> Main (General in 3.6+) to '''Show my home page'''

  • When I publish my site on one specific page where i've added {tag_pagecontent} I get the error:Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect. Clear browser cache and try again. If the problem persists please contact website author.

    When I publish my site on one specific page where I've added {tag_pagecontent} I get the error:
    'Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect. Clear browser cache and try again. If the problem persists please contact website author.'
    I'm trying to get a blog module going, I've even deleted the html insert bog with the tag in and re-published which then I don't get the error but as a result no blog either. But then I add the tag in again and publish the error comes back. I've used the dev console and it says that my musicians sample.css is out of date but why is it only out of date when I add in html to my muse site?
    HELP!!!! I've searched other threads and to no avail I'm publishing so no direct ftp going on. the only thing I changed in business catalyst was the module stylesheet in order to style the blog. I've tried uploading and replacing all files nothing seems to work. the site is here:
    http://www.musicstudentsforhire.co.uk/musicians-samples.html
    It's only this page as it has the blog on. Also I've noticed when I've re-published occasionally it will show the mobile version on my desktop and not the desktop version??? no idea why that's happening so I've had to turn that off. any explanation on why that is happening would also be much appreciated.

    I haven't received an answer as of yet, I'll post t on here when I do. I de-activated the mobile site because it's my clients site so he needs it to be operational during the day. I hope someone gives me an answer soon.
