Hi again
Please let me know whether we need to put the parameter remote_login_password=exclusive in pfile or spfile
I prefer the spfile, just:
SQL> alter system set remote_login_passwordfile = exclusive scope = spfile;
To grant sysoper to system:
SQL> grant sysoper to system;
And restart the instance.

SAP-compliant Split Mirror Backup
IHAC with an SAP deployment on Solaris Containers; hence I cannot use the EMC "cookbook" for SAP backups with EMC Replication Manager, since RM (and EMC in general) has limited support for Solaris containers. Consequently, I am scripting the synch/split/mount integration with BRBACKUP.
My question is, does a file-based backup of the mirrors (in this case, EMC Business Continuance Voumes - BCVs) suffice for an SAP-compliant split mirror backup, or must the database replicas be mounted and started on the mount host(s)? Moreover, are there any special considerations if the production host is a Solaris container? With Exchange Server for instance, an integrity check is performed on the BCVs to meet Microsoft backup compliance. However, I have reviewed many SAP split mirror documents, and I do not see this expressly stated as a requirement.
Regards,
MikeCI have only seen split mirror backups on HP-UX with XP-frames. So i cannot say anything specific about the Solaris/EMC. But there we only do file backups, even for online backups. Like this:
- set the database in backup mode
- split the disks and mount the filesystems (on the backup server), end backup
- backup the files
- umount the filesystems, resync the disks
Offline backups work more or less the same, but instead of backup mode, you shutdown the database. The only time we might start an instance on the split side is, when we do a restore test with recovery.

Requests in phase completed with status warning and there is no output
Hi guys,
While running some requests, they complete with a warning and there is no output to view. The request log doesn't show any significant errors. What could be the reason for this and how can I troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks in advance and I hope Hussein Sawwan-Oracle will weigh on this.Hi,
The report works fine when we change some parameter values like the customer name.
In that case, I believe the issue is because the user is trying to submit parameter values which are not available in the system, and as a result the report completes with warning. And if you see the error message in the logfile it says:
"Language function associated with program CAMAIR-CO Proforma Invoice Print determined no data exists for the given set of parameters"
But if you wish to confirm, you may try to fetch the data from the back-end and see if the records exist. But being said, I believe the cause being of non existence of data.
Thanks &

Whenever i open iTunes it tells me that 2 of my downloads cannot be completed because the file may be corrupted. I cannot get rid of this message or complete the downloads. Other downloads worked. What can i do to get rid of this warning message or complete the downloads?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer. -
How to get rid of the Warning Message L3 010 in LT01?
Hi, guys,
Is there any approach to get rid of the Warning Message L3 010(Check your entries) in LT01? I'm running a BDC program, but it's always interrupted by this message both in online and background mode...
Thanks a lot
MichaelMaybe you can try FMs instead of BDC to achieve your goal:
Creating/confirming transfer order (WM) using bapi/function modules
E.g. L_TO_CREATE_SINGLE, L_TO_CREATE_MULTIPLE,L_TO_CONFIRM (which are mentioned in the thread linked above)

Production Order Closed incompletely with a warning message
hi all,
Production order is allowing to close with a warning message("Not all item were issue be careful check before closing") even completed quantity is less than planned quantity.
System should have options in document settings for production order as 'Warning Only' or
"Block Release" in order to block production order from closing as per above case.
SAP should bring these new feature in next patch releases.
We are using SAP B1 2005B PL36.
JeyakanthanHi ,
Following are prerequisites for closing a production order
1 The order must have the status Released (REL) or Technically completed (TECO)
2 The order balance must be 0
3 There can be no open purchase requisitions, purchase orders.
4 There can be no future change records from confirmation processes.
Then look into the Transaction; COFC.You can handle this from there. To settle the order use tcode KO88
Before that do Overhead calculation by KGI2, WIP calculation by KKAX, variance calculation KKS2.

Photoshop Elements 11 installed on Mac Mini OS X 10.9.5. Application running successfully on bot main user and administrative accounts for considerable time with no warning messages. When established a new user account on same computer and try to call up elements receive message “Some ot the application components are missing from the Application directory. Please reinstall the application.” How do I correct this problem without disturbing application in main user account?
Brooks lansing if you create a new Administrator account does the same issue occur? If so then it is likely that there is a file permission failure and file permissions have been set for the existing Users instead of the groups they belong to.
Have you removed and reinstalled Photoshop Elements 11? This may reset the file permissions to the correct state to allow it to work under new accounts. -
i couldnt update my itune as it was coming up with a warning message so i uninstalled it and now it wont let me re install it? when i hit download off apple website it goes to thank you for downloading itunes but it didnt download.

Split-mirror backup: Attempt to mount unknown instance
Hi experts,
I am backing up the Oracle database of an SAP system online via the split-mirror approach with a BRBACKUP -t online_split command. After having copied all datafiles, BRBACKUP terminates with the following error message (excerpt):
BR0330I Starting and mounting database instance X86/SPLIT ...
BR0278E Command output of '/oracle/X86/102_64/bin/sqlplus':

At this point,
- all data files have been copied successfully;
- the control files have been copied;
- a copy of the backup summary .fnd file has been written to the sapbackup directory of both database host and backup host;
- I verified that the tablespaces had been put into backup mode before the split command was executed.
I wonder why BRBACKUP is trying to mount an instance "X86/SPLIT" that is not defined in tnsnames.ora?
What is the function of this step, and how can I suppress it as this flags the entry of the backup run in DB12 as failed?
OS version: Solaris 10 x64 (database and backup host)
Database: Oracle 10.2.0.2.0

Can Split Mirror backups be used for RMAN database duplication?
Hi
We running Oracle 11gR2 EE.
We have storage backup procedures in place, which use Split Mirror technology, i.e BCV
We want to use RMAN to duplicate the source DB, using the BCV copy
Is this possible/feasible?
RudiHi
Thanks for the reply.
My intention is not to backup using RMAN from the BCV.Instead I want RMAN to use this BCV as the storage for our reporting DB
I will elaborate further my intended workflow.
Btw,the reporting DB will have a new name and all the SqlNet files will be in place.
Please let me know what you think.
On the target
In the existing production server (source) :
1.Put the DB in backup mode
2.Split the disks
3.End backup
4.Keep record of SCN
4.Register the new backups as datafile copy
On the target server (target)
1.Mount the report DB
2.perform incomplete recovery the report DB until the SCN
3.Open resetlogs
2 issues I'm not sure about :
a.How to I sync the report DB controlfile,so it will "see" the new backup?
b.Do I need a RMAN repository?

How do I deal with the warning message: Stale; Enable pool
Hello,
I have a small (4TB) storage space on an installation of Server 2012 Essentials and it's thrown up this warning message on one of the physical drives (see screenshot).
There doesn't seem to be very much additional information, or actions available to take and I can't see much info on this error online - any thoughts would be appreciated, it doesn't seem to be causing any issues - but it is annoying.Hi,
As Cliff Galiher mentioned, we should pay some attention to that one drive is used at 100%. Besides, would you please check and then let us know how much space had
been really used in the virtual disk (data_disk_virtual (D:\)). I guess it had been more than spaces of
the disk which had been used at 100%.
Before any operations, I suggest you should firstly back up the virtual disk to avoid some unexpected issues. Then, please delete some large files in virtual disk
to make sure that the used spaces of virtual disk is less than 1.36TB. Then restart and monitor this issue.
In addition, please attach the disk which be used at 73% to another computer. It will help us to identify if there are really some troubles in this disk.
Meanwhile, there is a workaround in the similar question. You can also refer to.
Storage Space with warning: "Reduced Resiliency, check the physical drives section", but all disks says "OK".
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-hardware/storage-space-with-warning-reduced-resiliency/a2ae71a0-6642-48fd-874c-8d41f27e37cc
Hope this helps.

Enter a true account assignment object with revenues - WARNING MESSAGE
Hi All Experts,
I am configuring PCA. Where my GL balances are not getting updated with having assignment of Profit Center. I am getting this below warning message :
Enter a true account assignment object with revenues
Message no. KI166
Diagnosis
You made an account assignment for 410000, a revenue element, in controlling area 8000 to a cost center or profit center.
System Response
Cost centers and profit centers can carry revenues in the SAP system as statistics only. To ensure reconciliation between FI and CO for revenue element 410000, a CO account assignment object must record the revenues as a real value. This object type is used for updating to the reconciliation ledger.
In principle, it is possible for the SAP system to automatically derive this CO account assignment object, the reconciliation object. However, all postings made in CO for costing-based Profitability Analysis are logged in the reconciliation ledger under "reconciliation object". In this manner, the reconciliation ledger identifies the exact values flowing into the operating profit. If you post reconciliation objects during revenue postings to cost centers or profit centers, you must do so while keeping the interpretation of the reconciliation ledger reports in mind. The sums of revenue postings to profitability segments, cost centers, and profit centers cannot be broken down further.
Procedure
To avoid posting to reconciliation objects, make account assignments to a real CO account assignment object.
If you want to post to reconciliation objects, you can change this message to a warning or a note for future users, or deactivate the message entirely. Use the Implementation Guide under "Controlling: General" and choose Change message control. Enter area KI and message number 166. If you do not enter an individual user here, the change is valid for all users.
I dont understand when I am giving PC as CO Object assignment which is I think true assignment for revenue collecting over. Still system showing this warning message. I know this can be supressed by just pressing ENTER and I can save. By posting in this way document even , I am not able to draw any report based on PC, neither KE5Z or F.01. All says No data found.
What configuration piece I am missing ? Can any expert guide ?
Regards,
Revati Joshi.Just go to OKB9 and check the Cost Element, whether any default cost center or Profitability segment have been been assigned or
not.
If not, check if the Cost element is Revenue related, assign Profitability analisys. If not, check with settings of PCA.
You shoukd never assign PC to a cost element ntil unless it is a Revenue element.
Hope it helps
Thanks -
Update Show Messages with customized warning message
Hi Friends,
We have a requirement, where if the PR line item value is 0.01, a warning message should be triggered while creating a PO with the corresponding PR number.
We are able to Trigger the Warning message, but it is not getting updated/ stored in the PO (Show messages) for further reference. once the user clicks OK or presses enter button, the message goes off as it is the process, but it needs to be updated, so that the user can get the warning message when trying to Test the PO.
Hope the problem is clear, do let know if more details is required.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
VasanthHi,
Do you issue message in exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_012. (include ZXM06U43)?
We use this exti for PO checks - all messages issued are then vissible in option 'show messages' next to PO date.
Hope it helps.
