Only first row of dynamic table saves to pdf

Please help me with this.  I have a dynamic table in an xdp that can grow by adding rows (called details).  This appears to work in the browser, when I edit.  However, when I save to pdf, only the top row saves.  Any idea why the entire table is not saving to the PDF?  Thanks in advance.

Yes, I experienced this problem just today. I have a dynamic form created in Live Cycle Designer that has one table with a control that permits the user to expand rows in the table through the Instance Manager. I am assuming that is where my problem is. The table adds/deletes rows effectively, but when I distribute the form, the corresponding response file is created with only fields for one row in this table.
When you begin collecting responses, if a user submits a completed form with more than one row in the dynamic table, an error message will be generated that the form data doesn't match the response file structure. If you ignore the error and save the reponse, all rows beyond Row 1 will not be saved.
I have not solved the design/coding issue yet, but I did develop a workaround. I opened the form_distributed.pdf and filled-out a bogus response, filling in as many rows in the dynamic table as I thought the universe of users would create. I then submitted the form. I then opened the submitted response and was prompted by Adobe to save the pdf to the response file. I checked save it to another file, then merely replaced the existing form_responses.pdf that only had 1 set of fields for Row 1. With the save, it now has fields to accept up to the number of rows I added in the bogus submission. I export to a cvs file then edit the field names to avoid duplicate field name issues in subsequent data analysis.
There clearly must be a better and more eloquent solution.

  • Dynamic Table in PDF - only first row passed to the WD Java

    Hi Experts,
    I'm working with Web Dynpro for Java on WAS 2004s SP13, ADS for SP13 and LiveCycle Designer 7.1
    I am facing a problem related to PDF-dynamic table generation.
    I am creating the PDF form with a dynamic table, an empty row will be added, when ADD button is clicked, the row will be deleted when DELETE button is clicked. After form submit, only first row of the table is passed to the Web Dynpro. I'v tried to use different dataSource Context node structure without results. The structure diescribed in the thread [Dynamic Table -  same data repeating in all rows;  doesnt works for me. The same happend if i try to folow the advise from Wiki https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/WDJava/Creating%20Table%20in%20Interacting%20form%20using%20Web%20Dynpro.
    Beside this,  my DropDown list in the table column is not populated. I know how to populate the DropDown list outside of table. That's working fine. But the DropDown in the table just not respond on the click (is not going open). I'm pretty sure that this is a result of a Context node structure/binding issue.
    Please suggest me how can i implement dynamic table and populate the data in table dropdown column.

    Hi Prabhakar,
    You describe exactly my situation. The node which is bound to the table row has cardinality 1..n. Exactly Context structure is:
    node dataSource (cardinality 1..1/ Singleton true) ======> dataSource of the Interactive Form
    subnode TableList (cardinality 1..1/ Singleton true) ======> bound to the table in the Interactive Form
    subnode TableWrapper (cardinality 1..n/ Singleton true) ======> bound to the table row in the Interactive Form
    subnode TableData (cardinality 0..1/ Singleton false) ======> table data
    attribute 1  ====>     Context nodeattribute bound to the table row field
    attribute 2
    This structure is recommanded in the post that I found on the Forum (see the firs hyperlink in my firs post).
    Is this structure correct? Why is not working?
    Your link is not working. Can you post the correct one.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Adnan

  • Only first row of a mysql table is updated

    Hi,
    I'm using Netbeans 5.5 with Visual Web Pack and trying to update data, stored in a mysql table.
    I use a dropdown list to select a row and show the data in various textfields. This works fine. The problem, that it's not possible to save changes, I enter in the textfields. Everytime only the first row of the table will be (over)written. This happens also with the derby database. I checked the tutorial about inserting, updatting and deleting, it works fine. But they use a table to make changes to the data, so the case is different from mine.
    Can anybody give me a hint? I'm going crazy ...
    Thanx in advance
    Markus

    yes this sounds crazy. i encountered similar problem with textfields. if they are numerous type, don't forget to add integerConverter to the textfield. it helped me out in my case. hope this helps

  • Pie Chart Only Displays the Data of the First Row of the Table

    Hi Experts,
    I have a problem that the pie chart will not change when click on a second row or other rows on the table. It only displays the data of the first row of the table. How can I set up to make it reflect on any rows when I click the table? Please help, and I would very appreciate that.
    Thanks,
    -Don

    Thanks a lot for your response. I have realized that the pie chart behaves that way, so I just use the filter to see the specific data that I want. Also, you can drag the row and drop it right at the first row to see the data in the pie chart.

  • How to highlight the first row of a table

    When entering the form, how do I get the first row of the table to be highlighted when it has not been selected yet? There is already data in the table. Thanks.
    Allyson

    Any ideas on what would cause this NOT to work? I added this row right after the table is created and populated and it is still not highlighted when I enter the form. The snippet of code that does this is:
    MyTableModel modelS = (MyTableModel)dataModel.get("S");
    jTable1 = new JTable(modelS);
    jTable1.setRowSelectionInterval(0,0);MyTableModel is this:
    class MyTableModel extends DefaultTableModel {
      public MyTableModel(Object[] columnNames, int numRows) {
        super(columnNames, numRows);
      public boolean isCellEditable(int row, int column) {
        if (TableKey == 'S') {
          if (column == 6) {
            return false;
        if (TableKey == 'O') {
          if (column == 0 || column == 4 || column == 5) {
            return false;
        if (TableKey == 'P') {
          return false;
      return true;
    }Can anyone help? Thanks.

    But its not taking first row data in the table....
    will any one please help me where i did mistake.
    Regards
    Sushma

    Hi Sushma,
                     there is no problem in the below code :
    for (int i = 0; i < EMP.length; i++)
    IPrivateEtrecLeaveEligView.ILeaveElement element = wdContext. createLeaveElement();
    element.setDepartment(EMP[0]);
    element.setLeaveType(EMP[1]);
    element.setYear(EMP[2]);
    element.setTimeSpan(EMP[3]);
    element.setNumofdays(EMP[4]);
    element.setLevel(EMP[5]);
    wdContext.nodeLeave().addElement(element);
    //@@end
    but in the doinit method u have written this line  :
    wdContext.currentLeaveElement().setLocation("1");
    which means that , u have create a LeaveElement some where before this line and thats the reason the first row of ur table is empty.
    if the location value is same for all rows(for all leave element) then in the for loop set the value of the location as shown below:
    element.setLocation("1");
    Hope it helps

  • af:table, only the first row of the table is effect

    Hi experts,
    I have an issue about using the <af:table, needs your help:
    1.The default selected line is the first line of the table(This should be ok).
    2.Only the first line can react to my manipulate, such as select one line and click delete button.
    3.While choosing the other line-->click the command button, the page will be refreshed and the selected one will turned to the first line. (Now the selected row, will be the first row). And will do nothing ,and has no action with the command button.

  • Excel attachment contains only 1st row of Internal Table.

    Hello,
    I have designed a Vendor Ledger report and want to send the same as an excel attachment. I have made use of function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 wherein I pass the parameters.
    The program works perfectly fine as I am receiving email along with the excel attachment. Also, the excel attachment opens without any errors. Also, the alignment of columns and data is perfect.
    But the problem is if my internal table is having 10 rows, I get only the first row of  the internal table in the excel sheet.
    I also put a break point just before calling the function module to send email, I could see that the internal table which contains the attachment is having all 10 rows.
    I really don't know what's going wrong in this.
    Request you to please help.

  • ExportCollectionAction causes current rows values to be copied in the first row of the table

    Greetings experts,
    I use JDev 11.1.2.3
    I'm facing a really strange behavior of the exportCollectionActionListener. I have a table, and for each row of this table, a link, which calls a popUp. This popUp shows the history of this selected record changes (means it displays the data from another table/VO, which keeps the history of the first one) in a table. I have a button which calls the exportCollection for this second table. When i press it, an excel file is generated and downloaded, and that's all fine untill now. If there wasn't any record in this table, and o go back to the first one, pressing the submit button doesn't track any changes. But if there where any records in that history table (always talking about the history of the current row) , get back to the first one and press Submit, than the very first row of the firs table, gets all it's values set as the last row of the second table, as it is copied from one to the other. I have to press Rollback to get it back into normal ( note that the popUp has it's CancelListener invoke a Rollback operation from a backing bean).
    Why is this happening?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Frank,
    Well, that's it. No code is involved in this process, that's why i'm asking here. The only code invoked in here is that of the CancelListener of the popUp, and i've inserted it because of this problem, but it didn't resolve anything.
    As per other code, i have another button which invokes code to generate and download a Jasper Report, in Pdf format. This has nothing to do with the exportCollection. Different buttons, different beans containing obviously different code. Further more, this behavior doesn't happen when i download the pdf (press the other button)
    As per the popUp, there is just a link in each row of the main table, which has a showPopUpBehavior, which calls this popUp, containing the second table.
    Note: if i download the pdf or do not do any operation with the popUp (i.e. just close it after it is opened) that behavior doesn't occur.
    This is the source of the popUp, i've just removed the columns as it would take too much space in here:

  • Select First row in a table

    Hi,
    I have a page with two tables - Master-Detail. Upon first load of the page, I would like the first row in the master table got selected automatically, and so the detail table is displayed with the corresponding data for the master. I have implemented similar page before, and the first row always got selected automatically. But not sure why, for this page, none of the rows in the table got selected upon first load of the page. I have to manually highlight a row in the master table, then the detail table will display the corresponding data.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.
    -Mina

    Yes, I did set the partial trigger. That's why when manually select the row on the master table, the detail table get refreshed. The problem is the first time entering the page, and not row get selected automatically in the master table. Here is the code snipplet of the detail table:
    <af:table value="#{bindings.ItasLookupCodesVO1.collectionModel}"
    var="row" rows="#{bindings.ItasLookupCodesVO1.rangeSize}"
    emptyText="#{bindings.ItasLookupCodesVO1.viewable ? 'No data to display.' : 'Access Denied.'}"
    fetchSize="#{bindings.ItasLookupCodesVO1.rangeSize}"
    rowBandingInterval="0"
    filterModel="#{bindings.ItasLookupCodesVO1Query.queryDescriptor}"
    queryListener="#{bindings.ItasLookupCodesVO1Query.processQuery}"
    filterVisible="true" varStatus="vs"
    selectedRowKeys="#{bindings.ItasLookupCodesVO1.collectionModel.selectedRow}"
    selectionListener="#{bindings.ItasLookupCodesVO1.collectionModel.makeCurrent}"
    rowSelection="single" id="t2" partialTriggers=":::pc1:t1"
    editingMode="clickToEdit" summary="Lookup Codes">
    The table is a child of a panelCollection.
    Any more ideas?
    Thanks.

  • BUG - First create actually replaces the first row of the table

    I would like to be able to add new rows to a table and bound the create function to the button. The issue I encounter is the first time I press the button it instead actually changes the first row to be the newly inserted row instead of adding a new row. I have attached the code for my button below, it is very strange. Am I doing something incorrectly? I have the table I'm inserting into bound to the page and I can see the row actually get replaced even though all I am calling is a create method. Is this a bug? Any help would be appreciated. Code is below, I am simply setting the values for the create method prior to the call to the operationbinding:
    public String appendButton_action() {
    BindingContainer bindings;
    bindings = getBindings();
    FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    Application app = ctx.getApplication();
    ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    app = ctx.getApplication();
    ValueBinding bind = app.createValueBinding("#{processScope.runId}");
    String runId = (String) bind.getValue(ctx).toString();
    bind = app.createValueBinding("#{bindings.RunId.inputValue}");
    bind.setValue(ctx, runId);
    bind = app.createValueBinding("#{processScope.ConfigurationId}");
    String configId = (String) bind.getValue(ctx).toString();
    bind = app.createValueBinding("#{bindings.ConfigId.inputValue}");
    bind.setValue(ctx, configId);
    OperationBinding operationBinding = (OperationBinding)bindings.getOperationBinding("Create");
    operationBinding.execute();
    operationBinding = (OperationBinding)bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
    operationBinding.execute();
    return null;
    }

    I am very disturbed that nobody cares there is a bug in ADF using Oracle BC's. Can somebody respond? It should be impossible to run a create method and get an update on the database without something being wrong in the persistence layer. I understand this is an in-depth question but there should be some resource available to resolve actual issues or at least provide some insight.

  • Only one row show in table with tablepopin

    Hi,
    I've a table with a tablecolum with a tablepopintogglecell, and a tablepopin.
    I want that only one row show (when i press the togglelink if there is other row open, automatically close that row)

    Hi,
    you should implement the on toggle event,
    you will have the importing context_element, so you know which one is triggered,
    form your node, get_elements().
    loop over the table where ne to context_element, clear the popin attribute,
    grtz,
