[ONNM] 'Generating this document requires numbering to be determined '

Question

I've found a few references to the above error on these forums but none seem to apply to my problem.
All I'm trying to do is to add a Purchase order or invoice (without User Defined Fields) using the DI API 2005. It is failing as the Purchase Invoice. Here's a code excerpt;

Thanks for your help.
Truth is, that the old program used to work perfectly, and it's logging in as Manager - Superuser anyway.
I'm not entirely sure when we put patch 3 on to SAP, but it may well be that I haven't tried my add-on since.
However, and I think this is odd.
I have a program that works perfectly, which adds journals to all these companies.
Now wouldn't you think it would work in the same way?
Any ideas, please contact me urgently.
Otherwise I'm gonna upgrade to patch 6 or 7 tomorrow afternoon and hope!
