Open multiple reports in WEBI Through URL

Hi All,
We are working on BO XI R3.1 WebI reports. We are trying to open multiple reportparts using opendocument url. We tested with juts one report part and it worked fine, but so far, the attempt for multiple report parts using same url has never succeeded. Can anyone suggest a way to achieve this?

I am trying to open multiple discoverer plus report windows using my ADF application.
My requirement is that user has to select multiple reports from the screen and by clicking on submit button all the reports should be opened in different windows.
1) Below link provided me the the first solution but I can't go with it because my page is jsff and in jsff it doesn't support form tag.

4) I have created one jsp page in the same folder where my jsff is kept in my ADF application and on submit button click I have launch this jsp page using afConetxt.launchDialog and in jsp scriplet I have written response.sendRedirect to report url but here all report are getting open properly to seperate windwos but my ADF application session is getting timeout so after clicking on submit button it will automatically goes to login page it cann't stay with the current page.
Hoe you have understnad my problem and please provide me if you know any other solution aprart from above mentioned 4 solutions

sURL is query parameter value that I want to pass on jsp page. It is used to set some value on jsp page.
If this is not a right approach then let me know how to pass the parameter in jsp page.

What to specfify in CA Reporting services integration (Report server web service URL) when using SSL for both SharePoint and SSRS?

We are using Sharepoint 2010 and SQL Server reporting services 2008 R2.    We have the sharepoint site bound to port 443 using a certificate.   We also have the same certificate bound in the reporting services configuration manager's
web service URL tab.    In CA should we put the SSL URL or the non SSL URL?    Right now in CA it has the then non SSL URL,
http://fakehostname/ReportServer_REPORTSERVICE.     We have some sporadic issues and I am wondering if setting this to our SSL URL will help.    Please let me know

SQL 2012 R2 - SSRS with the Report Server Web Service URL, can't access

I am installing Dynamics CRM 2013. When I am on RS Configuration manager; I am running into the SSRS (SQL 2012 on Server 2012)SQL issue, can't access the
http://servername/:80/ReportsServer or
http://servername/:Reports web pages
The database server has SSRS native mode installed, it is using a domain account for the service credentials. This account also has permission to log on a service in the GPO
Account is a domain admin and is a local administrator
SQL server is 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2012. User base is less than 60 people and they have SharePoint 13 on the same SQL server. Server more than enough resources.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

According to your description, you could not access
http://servername/:80/ReportsServer or http://servername/:Reports web pages from Reporting Services configuration manager, SSRS in configured in native mode and the account you used is a local administrator.
In Reporting Services, URLs are used to access the Report Server Web service and Report Manager. Before we can use either application, we need to configure at least one URL each for the Web service and Report Manager. If we are using the Reporting Services
Configuration tool to create or modify the URLs, we can accept the default values for a URL or specify custom values. When we create a report server URL, we must specify the following parts: Host name, port and Virtual directory. In order to improve the efficiency
of troubleshooting, I need to ask several questions:
Since the default URL is http://<computername>/reportserver, did you type the URLs manually? or the URLs configured in Reporting Services configuration manager are
http://servername/:80/ReportServer and
http://servername/:Reports?
Could you provide detailed information of error log(default location: %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles)?

Open OBIEE report from web application

Experts, I want to open OBIEE report from a web application. I have a question regarding the security here. Say I login as 'USER1' in web application, I would have to pass 'USER1' in nquser parameter. Correct? Also, this report has access to 'Sales Group' users only. So, does 'USER1' in web application need to be assigned to 'Sales Group'? Or, any user in the web application can open this report as long as I pass nquser in the GOURL.

You don't need to specify group details.
When the report hits OBIEE, it will determine the permissions based on the nquser.

i have created 3 Webi Reports, namely

Report 3
Report 1 has company and its revenue
Report 2 has Site and its Revenue
Report 3 has Service and its revenue

In Report 1 , i should have a open document link on Company object, if i click any of the company, it should ask for options to navigate either to Report 2 or Report 3 ie by SITE or SERVICE.
Is this possible by open document functionality in Web intelligence. If so please guide step by step.

I'm not sure if what you're asking is possible, but perhaps this alternate design will work for your users.
Have two additional columns. Each column will have it's own hyperlink, one column for 'By Service' one for 'By Site'. It takes up more room on the page, but from the user's perspective, they only need to click once to get to the report they want, rather than click the company, then select which report they want to see.
Just a thought...

Opening multiple reports in Crystal Reports for VS causes database connect limit to be reached. Seems to be no way to force Crystal Reports to close database connection (other than exiting application)

I am working on upgrading an application that has been in use for many years. The application is written in VB6 and I have been tasked with upgrading the current application to Crystal Reports for Visual Studio. I am using Crystal Reports for VS Version 13.0.12.1494. The system's database is a Sybase SQL Anywhere 16 database with an ODBC connection using integrated login. Each of the reports has the database connection set up from within the report. There is only once database server, so each of the reports are pointing to the same DB. The database server is currently installed as a "Personal Server" with a limit of 10 connections.
I have implemented the CR viewer as part of a COM-callable wrapper that exposes a COM interface for VB6 to interact with. Inside of my viewer component is a Winform that embeds the Crystal's Report viewer. The COM interface basically maps the basic Crystal apis to methods that the VB6 can call (i.e., Load Report, Set Field Text, Update SQL Query, etc). This architecture is working as designed and the reports are displaying correctly and responding correctly to changes in queries, etc.
The issue is that after I open 9 reports, the tenth one will respond with an error indicating that the database connection limit has been reached. The database connections used by the reports aren't released until after the application is closed. The application is designed for a secure environment that prohibits the non-administrative user from accessing the systems desktop, so asking the user tor restart the application after 10 reports isn't a viable option.
I have checked and database connection pooling is turned off for the SQL Anywhere 16 driver.
I have been digging on this for a few days and have tried adding code in the FormClosed event to close and dispose of the Report Document as follows:

Thanks so much for the quick reply. Unfortunately I did not have time to work on the reporting project Friday afternoon, but did a quick test this morning with some interesting results. I'm hoping if I describe what I'm doing, you can show me the error of my ways. This is really my first major undertaking with Crystal Reports.
If I simply load the report, then close and dispose, I don't hit the limit of 10 files. Note that I do not logon manually in my code as the logon parameters are all defined within the reports themselves. The logon happens when you actually view the report. Loading the report doesn't seem to actually log in to the DB.
What I did was create a very simple form with a single button that creates the WinForm class which contains the Crystal Viewer. It then loads the report, sets the ReportSource property on the CrystalReportsViewer object contained in the WInForm and shows the report. The report does show correctly, until the 10 reports limit is reached.
The relevant code is shown below. More than I wanted to post, but i want to be as complete and unambiguous as possible.
This code displays the same behavior as my earlier post (after 10 reports we are unable to create another connection to the DB).

Open PDF report on clicking a URL link

Hello,
I have a requirement to open a PDF report when clicking on a URL.
Example : Open a Purchase Order PDF report when clicked on a URL from a different web based system (non APEX). I was able to open APEX pages from the web pages but i am not sure how to open a PDF report. I will have to pass PO number in the URL.
I would really appreciate it If anyone can give me some direction. I have created PDF reports within APEX and called from within other Pages in APEX but not outside of APEX.

below is my requirement. We use oracle ebs and we use forms version. Our requirement is to open various PDF reports by clicking a buttons/menu in different forms with in Oracle apps forms. We have APEX developer who can create PDF reports in APEX easily but the technology on ebs side is complex to develop simple PDF in the way users want. So we were thinking if we create a PDF report in APEX..and call the apex report from ebs. Is this possible? Inow we can call other APEX web pages from EBS.

Prompting for UserName and Password when I click Report Server Web Service URLs in ssrs 2008 R2

I am using SQL Server Reporting services 2008 R2 . When I tried to open report server webservice URL in SSRS 2008 R2 It is prompting username and password. I tried to resolve the issue by deleting the  line in rsreportserver.config but still I am getting the same prompt

I am getting the same error.

Hi Dathy,
Generally, this is a very common issue in Reporting Services 2008 R2, the blog you post is a good blog that summary the common solutions. If it doesn’t help, could you please try the following:
Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools and click on Internet Options.
Under the Security tab, click on Trusted sites and click the Sites button and Add Report Manager/Report Server URL to the trusted sites.
Then click Custom Level, and check the option Automatic logon with current user name and password.
Repeat step 3 and step 4 for Local Intranet.

How can I obtain a summary report from webi through counts and sum

I have a report built from webi. But will like to count the report by different categories.

Hi Cobimah,
You have several options. You can simply add totals to the measure columns where you want a count or sum. Click on the column and then click the Sum button on the menu and you can count, sum, min, max, etc.
If you want a separate summary report, you can place formulas in the cells like =Sum([Measure Object]) or Count([Measure Object]), or create a variable as the same and place it in the cell.
You also have the option of creating the pre-aggregated objects in the Universe and then they are already there for you to use where you like if they are aggregations that you will be using often.

You cannot. I use Crystal Reports when I need to open more then one document layout at the same time.

When I open Safari why does it not open my pre-set home page, but instead opens multiple previously viewed web pages?

I open up Safari and expect it to go straight to my home page, but instead it seems to open any number of previously viewed web pages. I have recently installed Lion and I don't recall this happening with Snow Leopard. Any ideas...?

Hold down the shift key as you click the Dock icon. This will kill the automatic "resume" feature found in Lion.
Hold down the Option key when you use the Safari menu to quit the app. This will "discard windows".

Firefox keeps opening multiple windows when web link to iTunes clicked.

Link did not open and instead Firefox kept opening another window continuously until there were dozens of windows opening one on top of the other. The only way to stop this was to Shut Down the PC. This has happened on several occasions and it's always when a link to iTunes is concerned.

Unable to open the reports as url using web.show_document

Hi experts,
I am trying the access the oracle reports from oracle forms. my forms is running at port 9001 and my report is configured at port 9002.
While trying to open the report using web.show_document(), the web page opens with port 9001 and returns 404 error. But when i change the port number to 9002 in the url it opens the report sucessfully.
