Not able to open Modal Page through a report attribute link
Dear All,
Not able to open Modal Page through a report attribute link, kindly help me...
I am using skill builders modal page plugin ...
Thanks and Regards,
MadonnaHere's what you have to do.
You set up your column link like this:
Link text: whatever you like
Link attributes: onclick="return false;" class="open_modal"
Target: Page in this application
Page: number of the page you want to open in your modal window
You set up your dynamic action like this:
Event: Click
Selection type: jQuery selector
jQuery selector: .open_modal
(notice the dot at the beginning!)
Action: SkillBuilders Modal Page (2.0.0) [Plug-in]
Event Scope: Dynamic
And finally, in your True Action (SkillBuilders Modal Page (2.0.0)), URL Location should be set as Attribute of Triggering Element.
And that's pretty much all it takes.
Hope this helps. -
Unable to open payments/PaymentPG through JDeveloper
I am trying to open the Oracle/apps/per/selfservice/payments/PaymentPG.xml through the EBS instance and the page is opening fine. When i am trying to open the same page through the JDeveloper the page is erroring out.
The following is the error message that i can on the page...

Is this any configartion issue??Looks like this page is just one of the steps of a multistep process. In this case, it is expecting some parameter values from previous pages. Either start running the page which starts the overall transaction process or pass the expected the page parameters through the project setting. Also check the page function definition.

Also this problem, in my experience, is associated with Apache forwarding requests to OSE via mod_ose and I dont see this problem if I access the jsp directly using the database listener http endpoint.

Open a page through a link in e-mail
Hi all,
I have a requirement as follows.
Whenever a requisition is entered, there must an e-mail generated to a particular person.
There must be a link in the e-mail to open the same requisition.
I must not use the worklist concept to get this.
I able to generate the e-mail through workflow as well as using peoplecode.
But i am not able to do, how we open the same requisition by a hyperlink in e-mail.
Can any one please tell me how do i do that either using peoplecode OR workflow.
Thank you,
Bye.I think you are creating a new thread for same question, I think you need to wait for the solution rather than creating a new thread for repeated questions. If we maintain one thread for a specific question then the complete information will be available in single thread and the information / solution will not be scattered to multiple threads.

Re open the closed Posting Periods - Very Urgent
Dear Experts,
We have an urgent problem to solve. The company code currently we are configuring uses fiscal year (oct - Sept) and the other company codes in our client site uses (jan -Dec). So by mistake we closed posting periods using MMPV upto 2007 03 but it should be 2006 06(correct me if i am wrong).
As we are still in baseline configuration we don't have any material document in the current company code. From this forum I got some solution to intialize the posting period using MMPI(which directed me to use SAP Note 487381).
Now if I do MMPI with the directions mentioned in SAP Note 487381, will i face any problem now & in future.
Please suggest me and help me as has become hurdle for the test process.
Thanks in Advance...
Nagesh AswarthaHi Aswartha
As you do not have any material documents , pl go ahead and initialize the periods. Should not be a problem.
I normally do this to avoid errors:
In MMPV, never give a period. Enter the current date(or first date of the month) in the date field and execute closing program.
Best regards

I purchased a movie from itunes on my regular ipad but it doesn't show up in my library. I am able to view it via my movies icon on the Ipad I used when purchasing it but it does not show up in my purchases listing to download to my ipad mini. Also if I access my itunes account it does not show up in the history of purchases listing like all my other purchases but it does show up when i open that page at the very top; separate form the list. I've tried everything to get it to show up so I can download/view it on my ipad mini.
Hi adtsalmon,
You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.
Here's the link to the Movie Rentals FAQs site FYI:

Hope this helps!

Hi All,
I am developeing some self service application thru Oracle Application Framework(OAF). There I am fetching 5 attributes from the database and displaying those attributes in my main page Table Region. Now my requirement is i want to edit that exising values & again i want to store it in the databse while clicking the update button. so first i have created one VO for fetching the values from the database & i make one Table Region in my main page along with 5 MessageTextInput field.. & i mapped that VO's attributes to my textbox. Now i can able to fetch & display the values inside the text box while rendering the page.
But I dont know how to update the values in the database. Caz in my VO I have only select query. So anyone plz send me the code for update. And also plz let me know where to insert that code..whether (CO or AM or EO)..it is very urgent.
Thanks
sriniDavid,
Note that the default JavaBean datacontrol does not allow create/remove and transaction operations. These apis are not implemented for the JavaBean datacontrol.
You may re-initialize the rowsetiterator, by calling ((oracle.adf.model.generic.DCRowSetIteratorImpl)iteratorBinding.getRowSetIterator()).clearCurrentData().
This will force the RSI to refresh it's data via the named-accessor again. -
Error in Running a Page in Jdeveloper through VPN
I am having an issue running a Hello World Page in JDeveloper9i through VPN. When I try to run a page, web browser is trying to open
the page based on the Host Name or IP Address used to refer to Embedded OC4J.
It would be really great if you could help me to resolve this issue.
Thanks

Edited by: user2014196 on May 18, 2009 7:11 PMThe exact error is I cannot view the HelloWorld Page.
I can access the database through VPN. I checked the Application Login/pwd and Responsibility name and Key. Everything is correct.
There are four options to select from embedded OC4J, I tried all the four options but the HelloWorld page is not displaying.
I got this exception when i selected Default Local IP Address in Embedded OC4J.
