Opening a portion of a document given a window handle

I'm using OpenInWindowsEx to open a PDF file in a Windows Forms control in C#. The problem is that I actually have a list of files to open,and need to display a subset of each PDF file in the window. Once I open a specific PDF file in the window, given its handle (using OpenInWindowEx), I can add more "subsets" of documents using pdDoc.InsertPages. This works fine. The problem is that I don't want the full original document, either -- I need to load a subset of the pages.
In other words, I need to find a way to load a portion of a document into a window given the window's hwnd. There doesn't appear to be a way to do this using the Acrobat SDK and IAC. Funny, if I load the entire PDF file, then I can add subsets of other PDF files to it, but I can't find a way to load a subset of the FIRST document.
Does anyone have any suggestions or tricks? Thanks -- Ken

That's an interesting solution, and I'll try it. But what if that first document is 400 pages (they often are) and I only want to display 2 pages of the document? Seems like overkill to pay the overhead of loading all 400 pages, and then the overhead of deleting all but the two I want? I'm guessing that since you're an employee, you have the definitive answer, and this is it? That is, there's no way using this (rather thin) API to load a portion of a document into a window? I thought about creating an empty PDF file, always loading that first, and then adding all the pages I need after that. But I don't know that I can create an empty PDF file. Any suggestions? Goto transaction MC.9, Give your Material and,Plant and the date which you need to know the closing stock. Do make sure that in the high and low values you are giving the same date there. Report to find open items and close items for given vendor

Hi All,
What are the steps needed to write a REPORT to find out
open and close items for a given vendor.
Which are the fields i'll have to take and what are the comparisons i'll have to make.
I know,
BSIK is for open Vendor &
BSAK for closed Vendors..
what are the conditions i'll have to check.

Cannot open Adobe files in my documents. They opened fine before. Get a message that file is unsupported or possibly corrupted. But they were not e-mailed and I could open them a week ago.

I had requirement of find the opening/closing stock for material on given posting date. The values we can find out using TCode - MB5B.
But I cannt use MB5B to extract data because I need to find detials for thousands of material.
Can you please adivce if their is any FM or tables through which i can find this detial on any given date apart from current date.

Problem with Pages. I have recently been unable to open Pages, or any documents from Pages on my iMac. Pages seems to be in the Cloud and can open a list of the documents in Pages, but can't open any of those documents.

Recently unable to open Pages or any documents therein. It seems to be stuck in the Cloud. Although I can open a list of the documents I can not open any of the documents.

The answer is simple... If you want to remedy this, then don't save them as PDFs.
Word opens Word and text documents. Not PDFs.

Pages opens strictly word processing AppleWorks v6 files.
The problem with ClarisWorks files were they could contain all sorts of objects from databases to spreadsheets, drawings and paint. the iWork suite is not that versatile.
But you really have little choice as ClarisWorks and AppleWorks are both history. If you are going to switch, the sooner the better.
Just keep in mind what Apple did to ClarisWorks/AppleWorks along with many other of their appliactions and technologies theywill ultimately do to Pages.

How do I open up a Pages 5 document without the side formatting window also being open?

I use my Macbook primarily for writing, and every time I open a new Pages 5 document the side formatting bar/window/panel is also open. I have a small screen on my 13 in macbook, so I have to close that window up so I have room for other windows to work on multiple Pages docs at once.
Kind of a drag that I have to add an extra closing click each time I want to work on a Pages doc. Hey, those clicks add up after a while, right?
How can I set the default so that a new (or old) page opens with the formatting window/bar already closed?
I've already tried opening a blank doc, closing the formatting window,saving it as a template then setting that as my defalt "new document" template. When I open from that template the font style and size are the way I set them, but that darn bar is open.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now - just clicking it shut each time I open a doc. But man, what a cumulitavely annoying extra step that has not been there in the 4 or 5 years that I've been using Pages, but just showed up last week.
Seems like there must be some sort of setting to make this not be the case.

Maybe I should just always export from Pages into Word (and likewise for the other types) before I upload to Dropbox? I hope not!!

If you don't want to export files and consider the Microsoft formats to be your basic working format, then you need to consider either using MsOffice for Mac or LibreOffice instead of the iWork suite.
You could always run a virtualised OSX on the Toshiba, but I don't think Apple will appreciate me telling you how to do that.
