Opening an URL that needs username and password

Hello
I need to open an URL that needs an username and a password. I can open a normal URL like this:
URL direccion = new URL("http://169.254.30.3:554/modules/admin.htm");
I tried:
URL direccion = new URL("http://username:[email protected]:554/modules/admin.htm");
but it does not work. (If I write this in my browser it works)

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

How do i open a protected pdf that requires username and password in side the pdf itself?

I bought this pdf from SABS South Africa, the file contains the electrical unit standards and I cant walk around with my laptop all the time. The PDF has a username and password field on page 6, which connects directly to SABS website to be able to unlock from page 6 to 397. Why cant i type into the username and password fields on my mobile??

Is the PDF document "protectedPDF" by Vitrium?
Currently, Acrobat DC mobile products (for iOS and Android) do not support PDF documents with DRM (Digital Rights Management) by third-parties.
I am not aware of any other free mobile apps that support "protectedPDF" documents.
I'd recommend using the desktop version of Reader on a Windows or Mac computer to view the PDF documents. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Need username and password

I am replacing my standard issue dsl modem with a non verizon modem/wireless router combo unit. It says in the install instructions that I need to have my dsl username and password. I would rather not have to call verizon customer service (never had a issue, but jsut a pain to call with those voice activated menus), so I am wondering is this the same username/password I use to access my email, etc. at verizon's website? Or some information used by my current modem that is totally different?

The Username and Password would be the User/Pass to access to your Verizon e-mail, yes. If it isn't that, it would be the User/Pass to the Master account if you use a Subaccount for e-mail. Hope I'm clear enough with that.
It might be worth pointing out that if your Westell modem was using DHCP and not PPPoE to connect to Verizon, you do not need a Login. Instead, all you need to do is leave the modem powered off for a few hours to allow the DHCP lease to break from the old modem, or you need to clone the MAC address of the old modem to the new modem. Otherwise, if you are in a PPPoE area that uses OpenPPPoE such as my area, you can use any Username/Password combination you'd like and it will connect.

I simply reinstalled fire fox 3.6.19 and I can login no problem. Seems like it could be a compatability problem between 5.0 and windows 7. One other thing that happened often was lag while playing mmorpg games. Not sure if this fixed it or not, but I can update this thread when i find out.

URL reporting - Hide username and password

Hi all,
I am trying to display a report when a link is clicked by a user,I know this can be achieved by URL reporting.But any one who trys view the source of the file will be able to get the login information(aps-username/aps-password) from the file or they can view this info in the address bar.Is there any way of hiding this information?

Well, you can hide logon credentials by passing the logon token to the APSTOKEN command in the URL.The other way is to use OpenDocument to view a report.
In both the cases you need to get the logon token programatically and then pass it on to the paramater. This way you can hide the credentials.

I have used it in my project and it works.

Using windows 7 and FF4, randomly when I open FF all of my username and password info for my websites has been removed and i have to re enter my login info. I did not have this problem with 3.6.

None of my security settings are being changed and this is not being caused by any anti spyware program. if I go back to 3.6 i do not have the problem. I have reinstalled FF4 and now, 4.0.1, thinking it might be corrected but still the problem persists and I get tired of having to reenter login information for 20 or more websites every couple of days.

I also had terrible issues with 2 Wire Gateway and my mid-2010 MacBook Pro. We changed to WPA2 and that seems to have fixed the problem. The AT&T tech support person, Phillipines, was extremely helpful. She went through network settings with me. One interesting step was going into my DNS tab (Network Preferences and then Advanced Button) and replacing my entries with these:

It's been several days and I've only seen a few random packet drops. Still charging along at full signal strength.

In WD there's no direct way to access the SOAP message header. If the web service defines implicit headers in JAX-RPC then you have to use the setProperty methods of the javax.xml.rpc.Stub interface so that the JAX-RPC handler can retrieve these via the getProperty methods.

If it is a POP account, there could be an issue with the outgoing server setting. It will not hurt to check this and make sure. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

i want to access portal from my web site. i have created username and password fields in my web page. when submited , my portal page should open. so how to pass username and password with the portal url.

This is not straightforward; but it is doable.
First tell us about your portal version; portal 10.1.4 has a slightly different method of doing it and the pre-10g portals were completely different animals.
And if you are in AS Rel 2, then the most important document for you would probably be the following:

Can't get username and password into client proxy

Hello all,
I am creating a client proxy using class xem_measurementImport (the doMeasurementImport method). I call this from an ABAP program, and it pushes measurement data into the EC (Environmental Compliance) system, which runs in Java. Everything has been running well, except for one thing. When I run the program in the foreground, it prompts me for a username and password, and when I run it in the background (it will be run that way in production), it gets a SOAP/authentication fails error message from the method, since username & password could not be supplied. I tried to recreate my client proxy, but when it is created, the wizard does not prompt me for my name & password, which it should do, so that it can supply it to the calling program via the logical port. Is this a configuration issue that Basis needs to address? Thanks for any help you can give.

gaurav agrawalNo. If the "client" is installing the DB (and, I assume, administrating it, I.E. removing the large security holes that exist in the default installation), then why don't you simply ask the "client" for this info a dialog?
Otherwise, you should be providing a script in your installation package that modifies the DB to your needs, and instruct the "client" to install a "default" root password until after the script has run, and then to change the "root" password again. A Java application should definately not be worried about this stuff.
