Opening Images With Java

How do you open images with Java? It is a JPEG, and as most will figure out from this post, I'm new to this. :P thanks in advance for any effort...

Well... Can you possibly tell me what to put in (eg Source Packages) so yea... I'll look into the tutorial, but I also have another question. Would this work?
Image img = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(C://desktop/[gamefolder]/[hiddenimages]/[image]);
When [gamefolder] is the name of the folder, [hiddenimages] is the sub-folder with the images in it, and [image] is the image...

    You may be able to drag and drop the icons from one toolbar onto another, you can then hide the toolbar that you no longer need. For details on how to do that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar

  • Opening Images With Safari

    When I open an image on the desktop, it opens with Preview as the default. How can I switch to opening images with Safari as the default?

    Safari is quicker and saves me keystrokes if I want to see the actual size of the image, and then go back to the "viewing" size. With Safari, all you have to do is click on the image to pull up the actual size, then click on it again to go back. Not so with Preview.

  • Is there a way to open image with another phogram outside photoshop?

    Hi
    i have cs6 and bridge cs6 ,windows 7 64bit
    is there a way to open images with another program then photoshop?
    for example a script or other ways?
    i'm talking about jpg,raw files for example
    for example i would like to send 4 photos to ptgui or other programs
    thanks

    PTGui Pro should appear in your 'Open With' list bottom section, at least it shows on my system (Mac)
    Be aware that PTGui can only handle jpeg, tiff and PNG and it only handles Raw files using the DCraw converter (Open source originally developed for Linux).
    Only applications that support the particular file type you select appear in the Open With list.
    And on a Mac I can drag and drop jpeg and tiff from Bridge to the project assistant.

  • How to set color space to JPEG image with Java advance Imaging

    How to set color space to JPEG image with Java advance Imaging.
    is there any API in JAI which support to set color space.

    I'm definately no guru, but this is how you can change it.
    CTRL + ALT + Click on the part of the component that you want to change. This brings up the Hidden Dom Inspector, background of component will be surrounded with a red outline (Make sure the red outline is surrounding the part of the tabset you want to change), Now you go to properties sheet and click the ellipses next to rules property this will pop up a dialog you look in this list (At the top) to see the default style classes that are affecting the rendering of the component outlined in red. (You will be able to select different sections of a single component) then you just rewrite the style class that you want to change in your Stylesheet (You will not find the styleclass that you want to change because it is a part of your theme .jar but as long as you name it exactly the same and place in your stylesheet it will override the theme .jar style classes) it's actually very easy -- you were right should be a piece of cake for a guru. Don't have the link handy but you can check out Winston's Blog on changing Table Formatting to get this information...It is EXTREMELY useful if you want your apps to have a custom look and not default that comes with Creator Themes.
    Hope this helps you out God knows others have helped me alot!

  • Open files with java

    Hi I'd like to know if there's a way that you can open a file that's been associated with your java app. I know how to read from a file and I know how to pass command line arguments but what I don't know is how to open my app with a file just by clicking it in my file browser. If needed i could settle for a Mac-specific and a Windows-specific method.

    This is nothing to do with Java, and specific to the OS you're installing to. This question comes up quite regularly, from people who are under the impression it's the responsibility of their app to enforce the file association. It isn't. Your installation should ask users if they want the association made. Remember how annoying it is when something you've just installed takes over the file associations of another app, without asking? Don't do it, your users won't like it

  • Photoshop CS6, Mac OS, switching through open images with OS command no more possible

    Using Photoshop CS6 (13.0.1) on a Mac Pro OSX v 10.6.8 it is no more possible to switch through open image windows with the OS related key combo "command <".
    There is also no Photoshop own configurable command available, that could solve this issue.
    CS5 or versions below always allowed that, and I very much miss this practical and fast switching between images, much faster then having to maneuver down through the "windows" menue.
    Anybody knows a solution?

  • Problem with drawing info from mysql on an image with java

    I'm trying to draw info on a jpg with java, the info is in a mysql database with columns for what I want to draw and 2 columns for the x,y. I would be glad for any pointers, help and advice.
    1. Strangely the program draws all the info on the same spot in the image. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
    2. is there a way to tell java to continue drawing until there are no more rows in the database?
    I deleted the database info.
    Thanks for any help

    Surely the Adobe forums are the place for help with Adobe applications. The fact that the problem doesn't occur on your daughter's machine suggests that it's not an issue with Mavericks but a local problem on your own machine.

  • Bridge CS6 can't open image with Photoshop CS6

    I installed Bridge CS6 and Photoshop CS6 with my Mac Pro with drive 1, which was cloned with drive 2 as a backup.
    Now every time I try to open my RAW file in Bridge, it opens the file with the Photoshop with drive 2 instead of 1.
    I have tried to eject the drive 2, but Bridge (with drive 1) fails to find the Photoshop in drive 1.
    I have to force to open the Photoshop CS6 before Bridge in order to open the image, is there a way to sovle this problem?

    This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.

    If you are actually interested in trouble-shooting please read this (in particular the section titled "Supply pertinent information for quicker answers"):

    What have you done for trouble-shooting so far anyway? (Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point.)

  • Opening images in java

    I am trying to make a program that will open a low resolution image and convert it to a text picture
    I tried to figure out how to open an image and get access to pixel colors and such and could not figure it out. One class that looked like what I needed was ColorModel. It has access to pixels but I can't figure out how to get from a *.bmp/ *.png/ *.gif/ *.whatever to a ColorModel. I downloaded JAI, but don't know how to use it. Please help.
    Thanks.

    I think that it's better to use newer synchronous api for getting color of the pixels of the different graphics formats. Try out following code:
    import java.awt.Color;
    import java.awt.image.BufferedImage;
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import javax.imageio.ImageIO;
    public class GetColor {
        public static void main(String [] args) throws IOException {
            BufferedImage img = ImageIO.read(new File(args[0]));
            // Creating color from RGB at location (0,0)
            Color c = new Color(img.getRGB(0,0));
            System.out.println("Red: " + c.getRed() + " Green: " + c.getGreen() +
                               " Blue: " + c.getBlue());
    }

  • Edit photo in LR5 not opening image with LR edits in PSCC

    I've been using the edit photo in PS option from LR2 all the way through to LR4 with no issues, and now since upgrading to LR5 and PSCC my images will not open in PSCC with the edits Ive done in LR5.  Its beyond frustrating.
    Can anyone suggest any tips?  I have reset warnigs in the preferences, played with the external editing options, but so far nothing has helped.

    Under the "Additional Enternal Editor" / Application you are probably pointing to "Adobe Photoshop Elements" instead of "Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor"   See here for more info

  • Rotating Images with Java 2D

    Im working on a program that requires the use of rotating images. I am using AffineTransformation to rotate and translate my BufferedImages. I have a problem when I rotate, I have a picture posted bellow of sample code and it's output.
    http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p64/roryfenrir/tankhelp.png
    I four images, back (a solid color background, will not be solid in final product); tread and base, both get rotated together; and top, which rotates seperatly from the others.
    My problem is that when an image is rotated, it takes a section of the background with it even though its a seperate image. Im wondering how to fix or get around this problem. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I would really like to get this down.
    Thanks.

    alright sorry, I didnt think that I needed to paste the whole code. Anyway I tried it out on some other computers and it didnt have this problem, both computers I used had java 6.0 and mine has 5.0 (Im pretty sure) so maybe thats the problem, but anyway I would still like to figure it out for this computer.
