Opening ivew in Popup with no TLD and DN.

Hi,
Can you please let me know how can i open an ivew in a popup window with no top level and detailed level navigation. This ivew will be opened from another ivew where i cannot set any permissions like anonymous or allow access to all users.
It should work like the preview button of any ivew works in Content Admin.

You can open a browser window using
window.open() inside your script tag from the jsp of the parent iView.
This just opens the browser and no TLN or DLN will be displayed. But you may get the menu bar, tool bar etc as you see in the internet explorer window. You can disable these using menu=no,tool=no etc in the third argument together with height, widtth etc.
Eg:

How can I make the popup with empty fileds and create new record?

I would like to use a popup to create new record.
I created a af:popup by drag and drop a VO from data control to jsff. then, I created a button and place a af:showPopupBehavior. I was able to popup window by click the button.
however, the window filled with the information from the 1st record. and when I select a record in table and click popup, the popup is filled with that record.
How can I make the popup with empty fileds and create new record by saving the popup?

You can have edit and new buttons, in the PopupFetchEvent identify button source (using popupFetchEvent.getLaunchSourceClientId()) if new button clicked clear the binding using below code.
If you want to see empty fields, in the popup PopupFetchEvent clear the input component bindings.

How do I open GarageBand 09 project with the Amp and Pedals Plugins?

My client sent me via YouSendIt online me his GarageBand 09 v5.0.1 project to tune up Logic Pro 8.0.2. Upon opening the project I receive the message, "Warning! This Project was created by a newer Logic Pro version. This may cause problems. Please update Logic Pro." After I hit "OK", a message says, "Logic Pro: Plug-in “Pedals” not available!, and then "Logic Pro: Plug-in “AmpSim2” not available! Where can I download or get the update that I need for Logic Pro with the Pedals and AmpSim2 Plug-Ins and when will it be available? What other version of Logic Pro is there?

Why does selecting a web link open 2 windows, one with the link and the other the home page? This is a single click of the mouse.

When I single click on a weblink (usually in an email, Firefox starts up and opens two windows; one with the selected web page and one with my home page. If Firefox is running, it opens a new tab which is what normally occurs. It is only when it is not open that I now get the 2 windows. I have an imac running OSX 10.6.3

The rolling over from radius servers only occurs on the same wlan and only when the controller deems the radius server being dead. However, if you get rejected from one WLAN but then you reassociate to another WLAN there is no mechanism in place in rejecting the attempt because they previously failed on a seperate wlan. This happens all the time with users connecting on incorrect wlans.
The failover feature is for when you have multiple servers (usually for redundancy) on the same WLAN. So when user is rejected but radius server 1 the process stops there and the request isnt sent to radius server 2.

I can't open a project created in previous FCP and get the timeline or canvas, even when I click on Window-Arrange-Standard. I just want to send that old movie as a quicktime movie, self-contained to the external hard drive where I have the remake of that movie, but can't get to its timeline to select and do so. I'm also afraid I can't find this forum again for any answer you post, so can you please also send email? I promise not to use it for anything but this question. If I'm reading this correctly, it sounds like you can actually open the project file, but cannot see your sequence.
Have you looked for the sequence in your Browser window and tried double-clicking it? The only way to have your Canvas and Timeline windows visible is to have a sequence opened.

Opening a IDML File with a table and 1000 rows simply hangs

1. I generate IDML files that consist of a table with (1000 rows*9 columns) colour formatted cells. When I try to open the file it just hangs at "Open Document".
So you're probably thinking, there's something wrong with my IDML File?
2. I "place" an equivalent spreadsheet from Excel, with formatting. It transfers correctly. I save it as a IDML file, when I go to reopen this file, same problem as above.
3. In step 2, If I instead save the file as a INDD, the INDD file re-opens correctly & fast.
Our company catalogue has about 11728 rows * 9 columns.
I have a strange sense of Dejavu, and it all seems to be pointing to the way INDESIGN handles (or doesn't handle) XML

Ya, i figured a non indesign solution was the way to go. Hence the LaTeX (Typesetting) + php thing. It didnt need to be in a table, but it needed to appear like a "table" format. Cells with each cell having borders etc and it will eventually go to print.

Well not necessary to use excel, or tables, since I pull the information out from a MySQL database anyway. I wanted to use IDML because once the file format is just simple XML and extremely easy to manipulate. My awesome theory was, if it was already in a table format, that would make it even easier to manipulate - all i would need to do is write php code to add new rows (Directly into the file). A designer could make the IDML file template file for us, and I could write a script that populates the data directly into it.
We tried other methods such as merging XML into tag placeholders but while that worked fantastically on small amounts of data it grinded to a halt+crash on large amounts of data.
Ideally we wanted designers to make a template, and I.T. to just come along and insert the data accordingly. It also needed to be perfectly print accurate without alot of messing around. XSLT would be an interesting alternative, but our designers are again not very XSLT / EXCEL/ XML / X-Anything savvy. It would still need to be a programmers nightmare to get it to appear correctly (eg. mine).
Thanks for pointing out additional alternatives! There are some good things I had not considered.
Although I have found some additional benefits using LaTeX; Automatic Index, and table of contents (Sweet!) - it also handles any required text wrapping.
I think I'm flagging this thread as more of a bug thread than a request for a solution
We were looking into purchasing indesign server for some future endeavours but if I have no confidence in the desktop version of indesign, how can I be assured that the server version of indesign wont just cause the company more headaches down the line

Reader opens a new window with same file and crashes when trying to print

the wierd thing is that I have two Dell systems printing to the same HP 4015 printer, though when the other one prints there is no problem, and when printing to another printer the same error occurs, any other documents are fine. we've tried the drivers but since the error happens with other printers I don't think its a issue with the drivers or the printers. I did a quick search and found similar issue, though none with any results, if I've posted in the wrong area please point me in the right direction. any assistance would be greatly appricated.

if it will be of assistance to any one, the resolution to the issue came when the profile was deleted and then recreated. we came to this conculsion when we created a new user proifile and tried to re create the issue. while not technically a direct fix the issue was resolved. its a hell of a lot better than some of the other resolutions online.

Error when trying to open a WEBI report with OpenDocument.jsp

I have a weird problem, i'm trying to open a WEBI report with OpenDocument.jsp and I get the following error message
An error has occurred: Could not find the document.
the weird thing is that this error only occurs when i use Internet Explorer. When i use the same link with Google Chrome, i see my report.
How do I make this work, our standard web browser is Internet explorer.

CRM70 Popup with Inputfield

Hello all,
again an interesting requirement from my users
We require in an eventhandler (button_click) a popup with one inputfield from type dats.
The date the user choose on the popup shall be used in the ON_POPUP_CLOSE event.
I know that it is not possible with the standard reuse popup or decision popup.
Has anybody already realised such a popup with input fields and could provide the steps?

Create a view with a context node, assume POPUP_CTXT and assign an input field (example DATE) to it. So the value entered in the input filed with be set in its collection wrapper.
Call this view as a popup and in the on close event get the context node and read the value from DATE,
sample coding in on_close_event,
Data: lr_outputnode          TYPE REF TO cl_bsp_wd_context_node,
         lr_collection_wrapper TYPE REF TO cl_bsp_wd_collection_wrapper,
        lr_current            TYPE REF TO if_bol_bo_property_access.

lr_collection_wrapper = lr_outputnode->get_collection_wrapper( ).

The 'popup_reference' variable must be declared globally. The instance will be created while calling the popup.

I have created a button on my page name as "Export File" and created a process and called on "EXPORT FILE" button. I am using utl file in this procedure and i want to download this file and file will be .ics file using for calendar.
My page process code is

Have you installed any new Software/Spyware/Virus Scanner etc.Check it out.It might have caused the issue for last 5 days.
This issue is fixed in Latest Support Package Versions.
Which Version of Support Package you are using?
If EP6 <SP19 you will face this issue.
Just upgrade it to EP6, Support Pack-19,this will be resolved.
Upgrade of Support Pack wont take much time.you can get the document under http://service.sap.com/instguides
