Opening new window when performing cut, paste and delete on Audio Files

This is 100% reproducible:
When performing one of the following actions when editing audio files (not multitrack projects), it will open a new window with the same file:
- Cut
- Delete
- Paste
This happens on new files as well as opened files.
The new window looks like this:
This did not happen in SP2. Can anyone else confirm?

Hi,
Really??!! This solved it for you, your window no longer pops up when you perform an action?
Did you move the layouts to another location and then SP3 created new layout files in that default location or did you set a preference for another location? Or did you just rename the existing layout?
I am probably making this solution more complicated than it is, but those are my questions.

If that's not the case, then menu items can be hidden using the userChrome.css file. Check if it exists, and if it's there, rename it, then restart Firefox.

In Firefox Nightly (what will become Firefox 20), per-window private browsing has been added, so the menu item under the Tools menu is gone. It's been replaced by New Private Window under the File menu. I don't suppose it's very likely that you're using such a cutting-edge test version of Firefox though.
If that doesn't solve the problem, since it's a different issue, it would be best if you would ask a new question.

Consider new Mac Pro comes with 1TB drive 50% is actually a lot. Most users off load non system stuff to one of the other 4 hard drive bays.
As for youtube I do read and saw threads when Lion came out. Lion does not support Rosetta aka PPC/PowerPC code of any kind, plug-ins, drivers and software all. Check into Lion Community?

Finder Windows always open new windows when clicking subfolders

since i upgraded to 10.5.6, my finder windows only open new windows when I click on a subfolder. this is no matter what I do with the setting in preferences.
Also, my finder windows no longer display the side bars with folder icons.
I searched my library (and whole computer) for the finder preferences .plist file and can't find it. (was going to delete it and re-create it).
Any ideas here?

The default of Finder’s Find will not search that folder, but you can change the pulldown menu just beneath where it says Search, from Kind to System files by selecting Other from that menu and then scroll down the next window and check the box next to System files. You’ll then need to change the pulldown menu next to that to “include” instead of “don’t include.”
The next time you do a search using Find, that pulldown menu will have System files as an option, if you think you might want to search for something in your home folder.

I was able to open your file fine. I didn't even notice the period in my file name, I was using the template my printer supplied and that is what they had it named except I added DMS-Card to the front of it. I have never had any issues with opening files using that template before but I will change that and see if it helps. I also changed the font to a Parisian TTF I found at fontpalace.com
This issue I have been having seems to be intermittent, in that I can open a file I have been working on repeatedly for quite some time without any problems but then I open the file at some point and it occurs every time I copy/paste or delete an object. Then maybe after Illy crashes several times and I keep reopening the file it stops happening. I cannot figure any reason for it. Rebooting computer doesn't resolve the issue, it just seems like every once in awhile there is a problem and then for no apparent reason there isn't. I have had this issue off and on since I started using CC last year. I don't recall ever having this problem in previous versions. I have recently reformatted and re-installed my OS, and hence re-installed CC so I doubt there is an issue with my computer, I certainly have never had any other issues with other software. I suppose there could be a hardware related compatibility issue of some kind.

IStore Config opens new window when done instead of the same window

We are upgrading iStore from 1155 to 11510. Currently I am facing the issue that when I click on Done button in Configurator Screen, it opens up the returning page in a new window rather than the same window. This is not the expected behavior. Can someone help me understand how to suppress the new window and instead help the page appear in the same window?

Firefox opens new window when link is clicked but the bookmarks toolbar is missing

When I start up firefox, the original window displays my bookmark toolbar. But when I click a link where firefox opens a new window, not a new tab, the new window doesn't display my bookmark toolbar. I made sure that it was toggled to be on, and the original window has it, but the new one does not. I don't know how to fix it and it's really irritating because I use the toolbar a lot.

If I reset Firefox due to opening new windows when I use browser or logout of e-mail, will I lose my bookmarks?

When I logout of e-mail whether it is g-mail or yahoo, Firefox closing e-mail in a new window and not the current window. The current window looks like I have not logged out.

No, a reset won't lose your bookmarks, history, passwords, etc. Also, update to Firefox 18.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

When i press a button, I need to capture an item value in current from and I need to pass that value to another form. The child form should open in the new form.

Firefox 9 opens new window when opening new tab on Windows 7

When I load FF 9, then click on the + to open a new tab, it does so, but in the quickstart bar in Windows 7, it shows as another window of FF, although the new tab "seems" to be in the original instance of FF. Effectively, what I mean is, if I have 4 tabs open, it shows 4 Firefox windows in the taskbar.
Is there a fix for this?

I'm assuming you are referring to Tab Previews in the Win7 Taskbar.
This can be turned of rather easily.
*Open a New Tab
**Type about:config in the address bar
When the page loads click "I'll be careful, I Promise"
In the "Filter" bar at the top of the page type
*browser.taskbar.previews.enable
**Double click it to set the Value to FALSE
If you simply type "Taskbar" in the filter, this will give you ever option that pertains to the windows 7 taskbar.

Safari 5.1 (5.1.1) doesn't open new window (OS 10.6.8)

I notice Safari 5.1 (and now 5.1.1) doesn't open new window when ⌘N. The button highlight but no window appears. ⌘T is ok. but not ⌘N.

Could be the preferences are corrupted ..
Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
Quit then relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, move the .plist file to the Trash.
If the that didn't make a difference, click Reset from your Safari menu bar. Select the top 5 buttons, click Reset.
Restart your Mac.
Try Command + N in Safari.
Also, make sure you haven't set up keyboard shortcut in System Preferences / Keyboard - Keyboard Shortcuts that may be causing a conflict.

How do I forces FF 23 to open maximized, not full screen, but maximized, both on start up and when opening new windows?

Firefox 23 does not open maximized nor does it open new windows maximized. As such I have to manually maximize each window.
Run is set to maximized in the shortcut properties, yet it still opens in a normal or less than normal size window.
Older versions open maximized with no problem. I have Profile manager configured so that I can run multiple versions at the same time and everything opens maximized except FF 23.
is there some setting in the about:config interface or is this a genuine BUG in the latest version? Any help would be appreciated greatly.
Also can you tell me how to modify the title bar text/icon/etc as well as where to find the icon or portable network graphic (png) file for the main-window.ico or direct me to appropriate knowledge base articles for modifying both.

My localstore.rdf file was fine. The problem was caused by two plug-ins that Mozilla shows as being compatible with Firefox 23, when in fact they both cause undesired side effects.
Maybe the employees of Mozilla should actually test plug-ins before they allow them to be available for download or worse yet, recommend them.
And if any of the in-house developers had a clue they would stop removing old lines of code from Mozilla products so that new versions of Firefox would still be compatible with older plug-ins and extensions people would still like to use.
I had to remove recommended extensions and copy code from older versions of FF and NS and modify settings in about:config to allow older extensions to work to correct the problems and get Firefox to work the way I need it to. All in all I have over forty hours invested in modding FF at this point just to have it function the way it used to.
Unfortunately, since I still can't get buttons designed to open .URL links from the toolbar to work as they did in the past I have a feeling I'll be returning to older code sources to find more answers.
Lucky for me that I have every browser going back to NCSA Mosaic available to me, so every bit of code from the present till back before Mozilla existed is include in my knowledge base. It's a shame Mozilla doesn't keep such a reference available for it's users or apparently it's in house developers and staff.
Maybe I'll even re-enable the splash screen for Firefox since the only available plug-in for that doesn't appear to work with Version 23 either, even though once again the compatibility adviser says it does
It's truly sad that the result of Marc Andreessen's and James Clark's work and Netscape in general became the spawning Mozilla. What used to be a great browser and an acceptable replacement for Netscape, has become a joke. So much for all the hard work and effort made by Dave Hyatt and Blake Ross as well.
I guess that's what one should expect from the developers that are a part of generations X, Y, and Me. The attitudes associated with those generations show in the lack of thought, consideration, and ingenuity that have been a part the last several versions of FF, not to mention, the copying of features from Chrome.
When the only original idea to come out of Mozilla of late is to remove or disable features people have used and counted on for decades, the I don't care, I don't know, and me, me, me attitudes of so many from the aforementioned generations is truly evident in the last twenty incarnations of Firefox. Not to mention the attitudes and unhelpful nature of the responses users encounter when asking for help.
