Operation Duration

Dear all,
When i create notificatoin or Maint order and insert time unit as MIN,but when i go to IW29/IW39 the unit appears in Hour,
Please let me know if there is any setting in customization to make this default as MIN,so that all beakdown and other time related calculation appears in MIN.

You could try the various BADIs in the IW* programs such as BADI_EAM_SINGLELEVEL_LIST
See [this|Planner group name in IW49N report (List of orders & operations); post for useful info.

  • Operation Duration table for Routing/Order

    Hi All,
    I'm looking for the table/s in PP, from where I could get the Operation duration for an Order. We typically use the Processing Time as the only time on our Routings. For every Order I want to extract the duration info from its Routing.
    Which table/s will provide me the info?
    Thanks

    k, I got it -
    function module PM_ORDER_DATA_READ can do the trick - look for field DABEA

  • Fixed operation Quantity- Execution factor

    Dear All
    SAP NOTE:
    Use of Execution Factor
    Use the execution factor to indicate how many times an operation or sub-operation is to be carried out during processing of an order.
    The execution factor refers to the work, the operation duration, the operation quantity and the material quantity.
    If the indicator fixed operation quantity was set, the execution factor has no effect. If the indicator fixed lot was set, the material quantity remains unchanged.
    Where i can find Fixed operation quantity and fixed lot indicator field in project builder.
    Thanks

    i.e.
    If the indicator Fixed lot quantity is set (in the component item under General data), the execution factor of the components is not taken into account for the component quantity.
    If the indicator Fixed op.quantity is set (on the external processing screen of the operation), the execution factor is not taken into account.

  • DEtailed scheduling planning board - scalling of objects in the charts

    Hi,
    I am wandering if there is a possibility of changing the scale in the graphical planning board in APO PPDS, eg. in the resource chart. in the way that I could change the scale just for a certain period of time or one object.
    for example:
    the planning period choosen is 10.09.14 to 01.10.14., scale unit is hour, but the duration of some orders or operations is less than a minute. Woud it be possible to somehow change the scale just for 1 day or 1 hour within the shown period? zooming in does not help as then I cannot see the other lines that I need to look at when scheduling that specific order or operation.
    thank's for any helpful hint!
    br,
    Wojtek

    Hi Mike,
    thank you for responding to my query.
    I know the functionality with the right-click. this unfortunately does not help as the whole time frame is stretched-out => they cannot seen some objects, while the planners would like to strech-out only part of the shown period.
    I also checked the possibility of changing the scale down to seconds cause some operations have a duration of less than a minute (timescale editor = double left-click on the scale). But the production is still unhappy. They have seen in some software such a possibility and wish the same in the graphical planning board. they want to see just part of the time frame in another scale so that the objects outside the scale remain in the same time unit but the objects within the considered time frame would be displayed in another time unit.
    In the resource chart if you right-click an operation you can select the option shrink/stretch operation => I am not sure if there is sth wrong with my connection but most of the time when I click this option nothing happens. Just a couple of times while clicking on the same operation I manged to get a pop up "change operation duration" where you can define in % the new duration. but have to choose a new duration between "min and max duration" that are in this pop up zero => so I cannot change anything and have no clue where this zeros for min and max come from and in the end if that might solve my problem.

  • PM Order Scheduling - issue

    Hi experts
    I'm having issues in the scheduling of PM work orders.
    I'm using unplanned WO. They are created from the notifications. Upon indication of operations ( with time for each operation) and components, i set the work order as planning complete (user status). At this point, the system status is created and material availability not check.
    When i hit "schedule button" on the WO, i get the message:
    Scheduling log does not contain any entries
    Message no. C7119
    My WO type is configured with the following:
    : Ajust basic dates, adjust dep. reqmts to operation date
    * Scheduking type: Forwards
    * Automatic Scheduling
    The control key has the following sets
    * Scheuling
    * Det. Cap. Req.
    * Print
    * Print time tic.
    * Confirmation required
    * Print confirmation
    My work center has the following:
    * Work Center category: 0005 (Plant Maintenance)
    * Capacity category: 002 (person)
    CAPACITIES
    Operating time: 6h
    * Relevante for finite scheduling
    * can be used for several operations
    * long term planning
    On the other hand, when i analyze CM07 and CM25 i always get the following message
    There are no capacity requirements for the current selection and
    settings
    Message no. CY144
    I have created 2 profiles to analyze WC loads/Work order leveling - 7 day and 30 day
    Even when I use tcodes like CM02, i get the message that no work orders are selected.
    So I'm either missing some config or some step.
    Can you please provide some clarity on this?
    Thanks in advance
    Joana

    Hi
    I'm still having doubts.
    So, just for my understanding, what should you get from "hitting" schedule button in the WO?
    Let me elaborate on my questions (mostly the second one)
    I create the the WO. based on the basic dates defined, and the work center capacities, and operations durations, the system will define in the operation detail the dates.
    when i n going through CM07 and CM25 i should be able to get the full picture, right? work centers capacities, what is compromised, in which WO?
    I get nothing like that. So it seems that althoug i indicate a WC in the WO (it is set for finite scheduling), there is no place where i can get the full picture.
    my assumption is that with this info in CM25 i would be able to adjust the scheduling made "automaticaly" by the system (based on my config), to better adjust the work to be done.
    Can you provide some clarity on the steps, cause i'm missing something for sure.
    Many thanks
    Joana

  • BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3 creating unwanted Dependent Demand

    We are using the BAPI function BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3
    to create Production Orders to integrate WIP from a
    legacy system. The presence of PDS for the product on which the production order is created, makes the PDS assignment to the production order. But, it is also creating a depenedent demand for the component in PDS, which inturn pegs to the supply on the component. We dont want the dependent demand to be created and peg to the supply, as the supply is already reduced in the external system.
    We tried using PLANNING_MODE_USAGE parameter, but was not able to stop the creation of dependent demand.
    Any way around this?

    Hi,
    Do you need the PDS in the planning system (APO) at all in case you don't want to see the dependant demand. The BAPI
    BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3 documentation says:
    For you to be able to create an order, a valid source of supply must exist for in-house production. This can be a production process model (PPM) of the type PP/DS or a production data structure (PDS). The source of supply is then used to generate the order. The order structure (components, operations, durations, capacity requirements, and so on) is determined based on the explosion. If a valid source of supply does not exist, a 'dummy' activity is generated and the order is created without structure and with only a main component.
    We create production orders with dummy activities and only the output component using the BAPI without having the PPMs at the supply plant.
    Regards
    Vinod
    NB: Also try 'Deactivate Dynamic Pegging' option in the product-supply location master data in  the 'Demands' tab to ensure  the dependant demand does not peg to available supplies of the component.

  • Standard Value and Activity at maintenance order

    Dear All
    I have created a standard value and attached a parameter of unit meter cube with the work center, however when i create maintenance order of same work center (by using IW31) system is not showing standard value parameter i attached on work center. It only shows activity type to select and operation duration in HRs.

  • PM Capacity planning

    Hello fds
    for work center say PIT_02
    0010) operation duration  2 hr
    0020)  operation duration 3 hr
    0030) operation duration 3 hr
    in all the above operation my work center is same i.e. PIT_02
    now i want this all working duration to be combine as 8 hr automatically for work center PIT_02 so that i can do the leveling in CM33, at present in CM33 THIS IS SHOWING AS 2HR, THEN 3 HR ,THEN 3 HR. So i m not able to level the capacity by drag & drop.
    so i want this capacity for individual order should be combine for work center,how to achive this?

    Edited by: nishj.s on Aug 13, 2010 8:01 AM

    While inside the order at the operations tab, select the operation, click the general button at the bottom and at the new screen go to the relationship tab to define the relationship between operations.
    or alternatively while inside the order select menu "Goto -> Graphics -> Network Structure" and define the relationship graphically.

  • Significance of defining the formula SAP008 in costing tab of wrk center

    Why SAP008 is used in the costing tab of work center in defining the formula (used to determine the costs of  activity type )?
    What is its significance?As far as I know SAP008 (used for capacity planning and costing) is linked to SAP_07, which is Work
    (field ARBEI)  SAP004 (used for scheduling) is linked to SAP_010, which represents. Duration (field DAUNO).Suppose in a
    particular operation duration is put as 10 hours and number of capacities as 2.Then how does sap calculate the work to be 20?
    Where is this formula defined?

    Hi,
    In Task list or Maintenance Order operation, there will be a column called "Calculation Key". Those values are fixed & formulae are fixed. Based on that, this calcualtion would be done.
    Based on that option, between work, duration & no. of capacity, if two values have been given, 3rd value will come automatically.
    Also that values are not stored in table, thats stored as structure.
    Regards,
    Maheswaran.

  • Fixed Cost & Variable cost in Production Order

    Hi  ,
           I have maintained the fixed cost & Variable cost in  KP 26 for the activity type .
    for 1 hr
    Fixed cost : 1
    Variable cost :1
    Operation duration is 1 hr , when i check the Planned cost it shows total plan cost is 6.92 ,
    Fixed cost as 3.46 and variable cost as 3.46 ,
    How the system calculates 6.82 ,
    I have maintained the valuation Variant for the activity type is Plan price for the period .
    As per my understanding system has to calculate the Planned cost as 2 (1 for fixed + 1 for Variable )
    Can anybody explain me why the system calculated the price as 6.82 ...
    Thanks in Advance ...

    Dear,
    Please check the following :
    1.Goto CR02-Slect the Costing tab -Check the Formula Key assinged in the Work Centre costing tab .??
    2.Please note that variable cost is dependant on quantity, where as fixed cost is independent of quantity.
    For example, if you have updated Rs.300 in variable and Rs.200 in Fixed cost fields and you quanity of activity type consumed is 100 minutes.Your fixed cost will be Rs.200 and variable cost will Rs.300/minute * 100 = Rs.30000
    3.What s the currency in Controlling area ??

  • PIR date at start of month / week

    Hi,
    Need an input on following.
    In Md61 when PIR are entered with Period as "week " or " month", it is place on the first day of week / month.
    Is there any setting where it can be defaulted to be place on last day of week / month ?
    Regards
    ShankarR

    Hi,
    While we run MRP it will find out the requirement and create the proposals like planned order /proc order /PR. MRP does not know what is feasible; rather it works backwards from requirements and simply develops a plan based upon this and schedules the Proposals.
    Please check the floats that are maintained in your schedule margin key of material master and the Scheduling parameters that are selected in the  basic screen of MRP (Basic date/ Lead-time scheduling). This influences the planned order date
    For lead-time scheduling (PP-MRP) or manual scheduling of the planned order, the system selects the routing for scheduling. The data for routing is not maintained in the planned order. In the planned order, only those detailed capacity requirements are saved from which the system calculates the scheduling data.
    Scheduling
    There are two scheduling types: Basic date determination and lead-time scheduling. The basic start and end dates are determined using the in-house production time in the material master on the Work Scheduling tab page. Lead-time scheduling is carried out using the operation duration in the routing. For lead-time scheduling, the buffer times (float before and after production) maintained in the scheduling margin key are relevant for calculating the production start and end dates.

  • Native SQL Performance Difference Between Hard-Coded Value and Parameter

    Hi,
    I have a native SQL (Oracle) query (fairly long & complex with a few sub-queries) that returns in under a second in both ODSI and using an external SQL tool. This query has a hard-coded value for a particular column, namely, a date column.
    When I modify the ODSI function signature so that I pass in a parameter and then replace the hard-coded value in the native SQL with the appropriate parameter binding notation (i.e. '?'), the query takes much longer (2-30 seconds). The duration of the query depends on how many records are actually returned, so it must be running a separate query for each of the results (i.e. the more results returned, the longer the query takes to return).
    What can I do to keep the duration of my ODSI query low while allowing for the parameter?

  • Execution Factor in activities

    Hi all,
    Can anyone tell me how does the execution factor works in the activities.
    Somesh....

    Dear,
    Please refer below,
    Use the execution factor to indicate how many times an operation or sub-operation is to be carried out during processing of an order.
    The execution factor refers to the work, the operation duration, the operation quantity and the material quantity.
    In simple terms you can say that an execution factor is nothing but a multiplication factor.
    Example:
    Execution factor    = 3
    Operation duration  = 2 h
    Work                = 4 h
    Material quantity   = 1 piece
    When you copy a task list to the order the execution factor is automatically multiplied with the fields above. The quantities entered from the task list in the order are then changed as follows (compare with example above):
    Example:
    Execution factor     =  3
    Operation duration   =  6 h
    Work                 = 12 h
    Material quantity    =  3 pieces
