DA ,
Not sure what you are upto? Do you mean to say that in the dba_data_files, there is no file id lookup column is it? If that's the case than,

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

You should not create database files outside of the ASM.
I'm not sure you can move the datafile, I would export the data from the tablespace (if there is data you need there), delete the tablespace and recreate it in the ASM, then import the data back.
If you want to move the datafile, you can try using RMAN (from node1).
First connect to the database with sqlplus and execute:
alter tablespace <tbs_name> offline; Then start RMAN: rman target /
BACKUP AS COPY DATAFILE '<file>' FORMAT '+<ASM_DG>';Then in sqlplus, execute:
alter tablespace <tbs_name> online;I'm not sure it will work, and I hope I got the commands right because I can't check it right now.

  • ASM diskgroups unmounting, getting ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data fil

    All,
We've recently purchased a RAMSAN device for better throughput. I created the initial diskgroup with the following syntax:
    CREATE DISKGROUP EMTPRD0X_SSD01 NORMAL REDUNDANCY
    FAILGROUP RS1 DISK '/dev/rdsk_ramsan_primary' NAME ssd_prim
    FAILGROUP RS2 DISK '/dev/rdsk_ramsan_backup' NAME ssd_bkup;
and then created a temporary tablespace on top of that diskgroup:
    create temporary tablespace temp04 tempfile '+EMTPRD0X_SSD01' size 25g, '+EMTPRD0X_SSD01' size 25g, '+EMTPRD0X_SSD01' size 25g, '+EMTPRD0X_SSD01' size 25g, '+EMTPRD0X_SSD01' size 25g;
Everything seemed fine at first and then end users started seeing the following errors in the alert log:
    SUCCESS: diskgroup EMTPRD0X_SSD01 was mounted
    SUCCESS: diskgroup EMTPRD0X_SSD01 was dismounted
    SUCCESS: diskgroup EMTPRD0X_SSD01 was mounted
    SUCCESS: diskgroup EMTPRD0X_SSD01 was dismounted

After talking with Oracle support I was told that the only workaround for diskgroups unmounting themselves is to put a control file/redo log/dummy tablespace inside of that diskgroup and continually write/read from it.
    Does that make sense?
They pointed me to note 603204.1 - Why FRA Diskgroup Gets Mounted/Dismounted.
The system is a 3 node Oracle 10.2.0.4 rac running on ASM Solaris x86 64bit.
    Any ideas?

Try a more recent version of my advice. The "for older video cards version" may work when the default version doesn't.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

    Please chk the following things
    1.SPfile corruption :
Startup the DB in nomount using pfile (ie init<sid>.ora) create spfile from pfile;restart the instance in nomount state
Then create the control file from the script.
    2. Check Ulimit of the target server , the filesize parameter for ulimit shud be unlimited.
    3. Has the db_block_size parameter been changed in init file by any chance.

  • Error ORA-01152: file 1 was not restored from a sufficiently old backup

Its also not thread just to share info with oracle gurus here.If my findings for the below workaround is wrong then please do correct me.
Sometime you get the error after performing restoring controlfile when you don't have autobackup controlfile on
error ORA-01152: file 1 was not restored from a sufficiently old backup
    why?
Cause When you shutdown the database with using the normal, transactional or immediate options not abort a full checkpoint occurs.A full checkpoint ensures that all of the dirty blocks contained in the buffer cache are written to the data files, the database comes into synchronized state at this time i.e controlfile CKPT SCN=databasefile CKPT.

database shutdown with immediate which synchronized the control file with database
    file.
    Demo 2
------------Now in this demo i am taking backup the database in opened mode before backup
database i have deleted alls previous backup.
Database is in opened moder if i take the backup in database opened mode
(i.e full checkpoint will not occur controlfile CKPT SCN<>datafile CKPT SCN)
you will get the error when you will restore controlfile from backup set.
error ORA-01152: file 1 was not restored from a sufficiently old backup
Reason is that CKPT SCN in the datafiles will be ahead of the backupset control file no
full checkpoint occuring. You are not taking backup in consistent state and the
backupset will not be in consistent state. When you will restore the control file from
backupset then yours restored control file SCN will be lesser then yours datafile
    checkpoint SCN.

    HI
i restored a sharepoint web 80 application in our test domain
and after when i browse the new web application
    it says
Cannot make a cache safe URL for "1025/styles/Themable/corev4.css", file not found. Please verify that the file exists under the layouts directory.
    adil

    Hi  adil,
According to your description, my understanding is that you encountered the error “Cannot make a cache safe URL for "1025/styles/Themable/corev4.css", file not found. Please verify that the file
exists under the layouts directory.” .
    The issue happens in
    We have customized master page
In the master page, we use path the script/style file like this: <SharePoint:CssRegistration name="<% $SPUrl:~SiteCollection/Style Library/coe/mainCOE.css%>"
    runat="server"/>
While using the dynamic path in a multiple languages enabled site, language Id(1033 etc) will be added to the path automatically. That cause the file to be not found.
To solve the issue, please download  the Arabic language pack http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3411 ,
install it on  your SharePoint and refresh your browser.

  • Imported Jar file not loaded at run time ORA-105100

    Oracle 9iDS forms Version 9.0.2.9.0
    Oracle 9iAS Release 2
I have imported java classes from a jar file into my form. I have it working in client server. Added the entries to the classpath in the default.env and system environment variable for development of the form and for execution.
Moved the jar file, form and testing html to the application server. Modified the classpath in the default.env file. Tested the form. Got the ORA-105100 error. MetaLink note 261650.1 states that error frm-40735 When-Button-Pressed triger raised exception ORA-105100 if calling a java function from a jar file. Cause: Jar file not loaded at run time. Solution: add in your default.env CLASSPATH parameter your jar file including the whole directory of the jar file location. That has been done and the OC4J has been restarted. Still get error.
Oracle support has not been able to give me much help as of yet. Does anyone have any further ideas, or documentation that I can read to help get this working?
Thanks in advance for any assistance that is offered.

    Hey people any clues?

NOREDO would be used when you have a Consistent Backup (i.e. backup taken when the database is MOUNTed but not OPEN) and so, no archivelogs need to be applied. (This would also be the case for a NOARCHIVELOG database).
See the notes on NOREDO in the DUPLICATE command documentation in the Backup and Recovery Reference.
