hi,
I am getting this error during the deployment. But whatever tables i have used for doing mappings in the mapping editor, those tables are existing in the database. Source and target database is same in my project. please assist on this.

This is the error I get in the Apache log. On the page:
"The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server."
I am sure this is just a configuration issue. I installed v1.6 with the http server off the companion cd with the db (10.2.0.1). After I had it working (did not test everything) I upgraded to 3.0.1.
I get this message when I am trying to import an application that I just exported! I am testing this for pushing code up to our production environment.

I did go in and update the permissions to the wwv_flow_file_objects$ table to give PUBLIC full access to that table to see if that was the problem... it wasn't.
Probably information overload, but just wanted to be thorough. Anyone have any ideas?

I also have another issue... probably more of a clarification....
I run the following to stop the process:

But, at that point, it says that opmn is not running.

Once I start running the stops and starts, it will eventually start correctly.
I think that I am trying the steps too fast and that I probably need to wait a bit between steps since that seems to work better that way.

#OWNER# = the schema from the workspace

The p_runtime_where_clause appears to be invalid;
a) The "WHERE" keyword is not necessary, also it should be '&P2_HHNO.' not '&P2_HHNO'
b) The record should have already matched using the DML string
Try deleting the runtime_where_clause, it should then work.

Error while deploying map: ORA-00942 Table or view does not exist

I'm having yet another problem with OWB, this time when I try to deploy a mapping I get this error:

Where AYADEV_LOCATION points to the module/schema/location where my source data is.
Now, I have defined three modules:
SOURCE, where I defined the tables and other objects from the original database (source data)
STAGE, where I am performing all the transformations; here I defined all the maps
TARGET, this holds the dimensions and fact tables.
Now all three modules point to different databases. The dblink for AYADEV_LOCATION has been created and shouldn't present any problems. The username that I'm using to log on to the source database is current and I can connect to it through SQL+ or any other program (TOAD, SQLDeveloper).
What could be happening here? I'm using OWB 10g R2, with Oracle DB 10g R2.
I'd really appreciate any help you could provide.

I'm still having problems but I found out why these tables are returning errors. The username I've been given by the DBA to connect to the database is CONSULTA, but this user is only for querying purposes, the actual objects reside on a differente schema, of course, which is PROD. So the line:
"CONSULTA"."ESTADOS"@"PROD@AYADEV_LOCATION" "ESTADOS"
raises an exception because the table ESTADOS is not located on that schema, but on PROD. If I query the table from SQL Plus with:
SELECT *
FROM [email protected]@AYADEV_LOCATION
then there's no problem at all.
Why is this? How do I instruct OWB to point to the correct schema or to avoind fully qualifying the table name?
Please help me, I'm kind of confused here.

1)I need to drop it as I need to immediately create table with different file name and from different path.
2)The last thing I don't like to do is to check the table name in USER_OBJECTS and then drop.
3)Also suggest me whether creating an external table dynamically is correct approach or not.
4)Till now we were using utl_file for reading feed file but I'm much interested in using EXTERNAL TABLE concept.
5)As the filename and path gets changed I need to create my external table at runtime.
please suggest me whether I can alter my filename and path at runtime

You will need to use WHEN OTHERS EXCEPTION handler which is not a good idea to do so if you dont handle the same approprialtly then the exception would go un-noticed:

1. user permissions level at the database..whether it has access to the required SP or not..
2. Check if there was any change in the SP..which has not been communicated...

I have an Oracle table called: USER_APP_VERSION with the fields (all String): (username, application_name, version).
I use PreparedStatement to insert rows into table:

to insert rows into db at sql command line, however, when run the same query as part of my Java code, get the SQLException.
Any idea? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the raply. I can connect to the db using a username and password, and run the query with no problem. I use the same username and password to make a jdbc connection from Java code. Since username and password are the same, does "permission" is still an issue? If yes, how can I solve it?

Up to now, using a characteristic with its own master data read class as the InfoProvider was not supported. This is now released but it is not available for all modelings. Using the attributes in the query is not supported for characteristics that have their own master data read class. Using the attributes in the query causes a termination. Java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist while invoking a DBAdapter

I have a WebService which is invoked , the request is routed through the mideator to the DBAdapter .DBAdapter interacts with the database and replies the result.
I send in the CreditCardNumber in the request and recieve its Status (VALID,INVALID). i get this error every time . i have tried almost every thing to fix this . Please help me with same .
Below is the complete error stacktrace.

a. check the JNDI Configuration. ( check for the value used for XADatasourceName )

I am getting currently getting an error when I try and insert into a table from a different schema from my Stored Procedure:

I only get this error when I try and compile my stored procedure. If I try this insert not within a stored procedure (i.e. a blank script) it works perfectly.

Hi,
It sounds like you (the procedure owner) have privileges on that table only through a role.
Roles don't count in stored procedures created with AUTHID OWNER (which is the default).
Either
(1) Have user SAPSR3 grant the necessary privileges directly to you (or to PUBLIC), or
(2) change the procedure so that it runs with the caller's privileges, by adding AUTHID CURRENT_USER after the argument list but before the keyword IS (os AS) like this:
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE foo
( x IN NUMBER
AUTHID CURRENT_USER
IS ...

ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_XMLGEN", (ORA-00942: table or view does not exist)

Hey Guys, it's Xev.
I decide to use SQL and XML and it works in one scenario, but in another scenario, it doesn't.
Here is the Code, I am passing in two variables, First, I pass in the table_name and then i pass in the schema.
If I am doing this with the "user" connected and it's looking in it's own schema, it's find the results, like so, but if i try to execute this code while not
connected to the same user i am searching on i get this error.

This code works only of you are connected to the user that you are searching on.
But if you search for another user tables, it's blows up and gives the XML error above...

It has nothing to do with DBMS_XMLGEN.GETXMLTYPE. It simply means user executing your SQL has no select privilege on table &SCHEMA_NAME.&TABLE_NAME.

Hi User,
The ORA - 00942 indicates that the Underlying object is not present in the Database.
Just Check whether the Table you are used in the Select statement exists in the user/Schema.
To check this..

I have encountered an issue while starting up my database on 12c RAC.
Till mount it goes fine but when i attempt to open it throws me an error.
