Ora-13200

When creating spx using spx Advisor in OEM (1.3 million records, mostly polygons, fixed index level 15), got the following error:
ORA-29855: Error occurred in the execution of OCIINDEXCREATE routine.
ORA-13200: Internal error [ROWID: AAAJb+AARAABIMJAAB] in spatial indexing
ORA-13200: failed to compare tile with the geometry
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_INDEX_METHOD", line 7
ORA-06512: at line 1
What's happening?

Hi Andy,
Can you try seeing of the geometry at that rowid is OK:
SELECT sdo_geom.validate_geometry
(s.geom_col_name,
(SELECT diminfo
FROM user_sdo_geom_metadata
WHERE table_name = 'GEOM_TAB_NAME'
AND column_name = 'GEOM_COL_NAME')) status
FROM GEOM_TAB_NAME s
WHERE S.ROWID='AAAJb+AARAABIMJAAB';
If that doesn't help tell you what is wrong, can you post that geometry and the contents of user_sdo_geom_metadata for that table/column?
Thanks,
dan

    I have a single shape that seems to cause ORA-13033 at 11.1.0.7 but not at 11.1.0.6. Wondering if I am missing something stupid, or if anyone else has seen this problem. I did a quick search of the posts, but didn't find anything. It could also be that spatial has a problem on the 11.1.0.7 server...

    There are a couple of things wrong with your geometry.
    The specs says that for compound geometries (sdo_etype = 4) the SDO_INTERPRETATION (in this case with sdo_etype = 4) gives the numeber of subelements. This must be bigger then 1:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28400/sdo_objrelschema.htm#BGHDGCCE
    4
    n > 1
    Compound line string with some vertices connected by straight line segments and some by circular arcs. The value n in the Interpretation column specifies the number of contiguous subelements that make up the line string.
    The next n triplets in the SDO_ELEM_INFO array describe each of these subelements. The subelements can only be of SDO_ETYPE 2. The last point of a subelement is the first point of the next subelement, and must not be repeated.
    In your case you either have single line string which makes the first triplet incorrect or even unnecessary in the SDO_ELEM_INFO, or you are missing a third triplet in the SDO_ELEM_INFO.
    You should always validate your geometries first, if you do that also on your 11.1.0.6 version you will get:
    SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY_WITH_CONTEXT
    54506 Point:0,Edge:2,
    ORA-54506: compound curve not supported for 3-D geometries
    Cause: The 3-D geometry contained one or more compound curves, which are not
    supported for 3-D geometries.
    Action: Remove all compound curves from the geometry.
    As you will see additionally compound curveare not supported in 3D geometries.
    IF it is not a compound (so with SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY = (1,2,2), you will see that this geometry will validate.
    Looks like the validation might be incorporated now in the index creation in 11.1.0.7.

  • ORA-13193: failed to allocate space for geometry

    I am having problems indexing a point layer using Locator in 8.1.6. The errors are:
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-29855: error occurred in the execution of ODCIINDEXCREATE routine
    ORA-13200: internal error [ROWID:AAAFs9AADAAAB30AAg] in spatial indexing.

    ORA-06512: at line 1
    ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.GEOCODER_HTTP", line 168
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    The table has 2 columns:
    POSTCODE VARCHAR2(9)
    LOCATION MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY
    I loaded the point data with sqlloader rather than geocoding, so this could be the root of my problem, maybe I've missed something obvious:
    POSTCODE
    LOCATION(SDO_GTYPE, SDO_SRID, SDO_POINT(X, Y, Z), SDO_ELEM_INFO, SDO_ORDINATES)
    AB15 8SA

    AB15 8SD
    SDO_GEOMETRY(1, NULL, SDO_POINT_TYPE(3867, 8083, NULL), NULL, NULL)
    I am trying to index using the following command, this is when I got the error:
    SQL> execute geocoder_http.setup_locator_index('POSTCODE_POINTS', 'LOCATION');
    User_sdo_geom_metadata has some metadata inserted with lat/long dimensions. My data is not in lat/long, so I updated this but still get the same error message.
    Is it possible to use locator with data that's not in lat/long format?
    Anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks.

    1) If Locator needs lat/long coordinates, can anyone suggest a good route to convert coordinates for example from British National Grid to lat/long?
    2) Are there plans for Locator to be able to use data from other coordinate systems like Spatial can?

  • Spatial index creation error -ORA-13011: value is out of range

    I can't find any documentation as to how to fix this. How do you determine which row of data is out of range? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Jeff,
    The data at rowid AAAFXYAADAAABxyAAD has a problem.
    Can see what the issue is by doing:
    select sdo_geom.validate_geometry(geom_col_name,diminfo)
    from your_table_name a, user_sdo_geom_metadata b
    where b.table_name='YOUR_TABLE_NAME'
    and a.rowid='AAAFXYAADAAABxyAAD';
    If you are using Oracle9iR2 then this would be even better:
    select sdo_geom.validate_geometry_with_context(geom_col_name,diminfo)
    from your_table_name a, user_sdo_geom_metadata b
    where b.table_name='YOUR_TABLE_NAME'
    and a.rowid='AAAFXYAADAAABxyAAD';

  • ORA-29855 - Unable to allocate shared memory

    Hi,
    We are encountering troubles (unable to allocate shared memory) while indexes creation. We tried to increase the share_size_memory (actually 52 mb) but this had no effect on this error. The Oracle error code is ORA-29855.
    The database is version 8.1.7, hosted on a Linux machine (RedHat 7.2) with 512 mb of memory. The code used for the index creation works fine on other machines (code from 9iAS Wireless installation) running with Windows 2000 as operation system.
    Any help or comment will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Fabrice Clari.
    The error message is:
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-29855: error occurred in the execution of ODCIINDEXCREATE routine
    ORA-13200: internal error [ROWID:AAAGDwAAFAAAAvjAAA] in spatial indexing.

    ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_INDEX_METHOD", line 8
    ORA-06512: at line 1

    Which portion of shared memory did you increase? The error indicates you need to increase large_pool_size. It seems you may also have other problems since you have several errors, and this only relates to the ORA-04031 error.

    Hi Rose
    If you take a look at the error message, you will find a line there that starts with ORA-13200
    ORA-13200: Internal error RowID:AAANZE/AAFAAALFaAAP
    This points to the ROW containing the geometry that triggers this error (described in the error message).
    So if you could post the geometry of that specific row that might help. Use the following sql statement:
    Select geometry from YOUR_TABLE_NAME WHERE ROWID = 'AAANZE/AAFAAALFaAAP';

    I have made sure the SRID is congruent in both the table and the metadata and I exported this data from Intergraph's GeoMedia to have no 3D coordinates. I can see from google searches that the layer is in two different dimensions. How can I query/update the record with an incongruent dimension? How can I isolate this problem? Any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Which version of Oracle are you running?
    What is your SRID (to double check since you have 2D and 3D data)?
    Is it possible to convert your 2D data into 3D data just by adding zeroes for the z-coordinates?
    thanks

    Can anyone tell me what could be reason of all these errors and and the workaround for the same.
    Thanks....

    Mayura,
    . . . .One workaround may be to use the "exclude" command-line option to exclude the offending table (currently, M5_13791$$).
    EXCLUDE=TABLE:"= 'M5_13791$$')". . . .Another workaround may be to load the data without indexes first, then fuss with rebuilding indexes.
    EXCLUDE=INDEX:"LIKE '%'"Regards,

    Did you make an entry in tthe user_sdo_geom_metadata?
    That might be the issue...
    The index is created but it is invalid.You need to rebuild teh index or drop the index and create the index..You must always make an entry in metadata before creating the spatial index

  • Spatial index error whilst creating an index for a GeoRaster column

    Dear all
    Several months ago I inserted 12 Raster map PNG files into Oracle as GeoRaster data. I then viewed these in MapBuilder to check they are were loaded and as they appeared, it seemed to suggest they were.
    Today however I realised I had not created an entry for USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA or a spatial index. Therefore I attempted to do this using the code below. When I first made an entry into USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA I did not add .spatialextent after the column name, web_raster_map. However whilst reading the MapViewer manual I decided it was required so create a new entry. However the error message, posted at the end, was the same in each case. If any one has any ideas on what I may have done wrong, I would be grateful.
    Is the entries eastings-x and northings-y wrong? Should that be X and Y and if so would that resolve the errors? I was using a script I had created previously for vector data and adapting it.
    INSERT INTO USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA

    Dear sravada
    Thank you for your reply, I very grateful. I didn't spot that mistake because I was coming from the point of only needing to add the column name. When your starting out most mistakes are simple ones.

  • Problem on creating spatial index

    Hi,
    I am newbie in Oracle Spatial and looking for help on creating spatial index
    I am working on OpenStreetMap data. I intended to import the OSM data from PostGis to Oracle Spatial. This code is executed to import the data
    ogr2ogr -f OCI OCI:osm/password@pdborcl PG:"host=localhost user=postgres password=password dbname=gis port=5432" -lco OVERWRITE=yes -lco SRID=8307 -nln planet_osm_polygon planet_osm_polygon
    However, I got this error when importing the data.
    ERROR 1: ORA-29855: error occurred in the execution of ODCIINDEXCREATE routine
    ORA-13249: internal error in Spatial index: [mdidxrbd]
    ORA-13249: Error in Spatial index: index build failed
    ORA-13249: Error in spatial index: [mdrcrtxfergm]
    ORA-13249: Error in spatial index: [mdpridxtxfergm]
    ORA-13200: internal error [ROWID:AAAW/iAAQAAAIfsAAP] in spatial indexing.
    ORA-13206: internal error [] while creating the spatial index
    ORA-13033: Invalid data in the SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY in SDO_GEOMETRY object
    ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_INDEX_METHOD_10I", line 10
    in CREATE INDEX "OSI_12283" ON PLANET_OSM_POLYGON("ORA_GEOMETRY") INDEXTYPE IS
    MDSYS.SPATIAL_INDEX
    This creating index failure only happen when I tried to import planet_osm_polygon table. I did not get this error when I imported the planet_osm_point, planet_osm_roads and planet_osm_line and indexing worked fine. The geometry type of column which was failed to index is ST MultiPolygon ( I am not sure if this is the cause).
    Apparently, the data is imported to database. I tried to create index on that table, and it returns the same error.
    CREATE INDEX PLANET_OSM_POLYGONI ON PLANET_OSM_POLYGON(ORA_GEOMETRY)
    INDEXTYPE IS MDSYS.SPATIAL_INDEX;
    Please help!

    Hi Ivan Bush
    Thank you for the reply.
    Sorry for the lengthy reply. To be honest, I dont understand how to read query result. This is the query that I executed:
    select * from (select sdo_geom.validate_geometry_with_context(p.ora_geometry, 0.05) from planet_osm_polygon p) where rownum <100;
    And the snippet of the query result:
    Could you help me to explain the meaning of the query result? I chose 0.05 as tolerance value based on this reference (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14255/sdo_intro.htm#i884589) .
    Anyway, this information might be useful in solving the problem. When I imported the OSM data to PostGis, the SRID of geometry data was 900913. Since I want the data in WGS84 coordinate system, I change the SRID of the geometry data to 4326. I could perform this below-mentioned PostgreSQL query to change its SRID for geometry column in table planet_osm_point, planet_osm_roads and planet_osm_line. However, this query did not work on planet_osm_polygon one since this query does not recognize multipolygon datatype.
    ALTER TABLE planet_osm_point
        ALTER COLUMN way TYPE geometry(point,4326) USING ST_Transform(way,4326);
    So for planet_osm_polygon case, I check this post (QGIS, Postgis: Geometry type does not match column type - Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange) and follow @dbaston's answer to change the geometry data type to generic'geometry'. Then change the SRID, and return the geometry data type to MultiPolygon.
    ALTER TABLE planet_osm_polygon ALTER  COLUMN way SET data type geometry(MultiPolygon) USING ST_Multi(way);
    Let me know if this might be the cause of the indexing problem.
