  • RMAN ORA-19870: error reading backup piece 'location'

    Hi All ,
    I have run a restore from a RMAN backup and i got this error :
    ORA-19870: error reading backup piece XX_df_23_11_2011_XXX_1_1.rman
    ORA-19599: block number 616206 is corrupt in backup piece XX_df_23_11_2011_XXX_1_1.rmanThough the RMAN backup is still going on , it has not errored out, How can i find what all gets missing from the Source database , as in what all is present in the missing block ?
    What is the use of MAXCORRUPT parameter ? can that be used here ? can this be prevented if i use maxcorrupt =1 and then run the restore ?
    Also , Is there any way in which i can verify that all the backups are perfect before i drop my earlier database and run the restore. I think its the validate command but I am not sure, hence seek expert suggestion.
    Please suggest
    Thanks

  • RMAN 恢复至ASM DISKGROUP 报错 ORA 19870 19504 15045 17502 15081

    问题简单描述:
    AIX 6, ORACLE 11.2
ASM DISKGROUP DATA
    6.用startup nomount pfile='/oracle/rman_bak1201/abc.ora' 启动,尝试恢复时报错 (pfile 是我从原库 create pfile='xxxx' from spfile 备份的)

  • ORA-19505: failed to identify file - RMAN in creating standby DR database.

    I got this error when creating standby database at remote target server.
    ORA-19505: failed to identify file "/backup/dxp1p/online/DXP1P_CF_c-2027711285-20131204-01"
    Here is what I did:
    1.   started the listener and created corresponding tnsnames entry at remote standyb server
    2.  startup nomount to the standby database at remote server for an empty instance (instance name dxp1p).
    3.  All rman backups are in the /backup mount point at primary and the mount point is shared on the remote server as nfs.   So, whatever have in the backup we should be able to see and read from the remote as well.
    4.  Run the following at primary rman:
    sql 'alter system archive log current';
    backup current controlfile for standby;
    sql 'alter system archive log current';
    crosscheck backup;
    crosscheck archivelog all;
    exit
    5.   Start the rman  command from primary after connected to the standby server, as the primary DB uses ASM and the standby DB uses file system for the database files:
    RUN
    SET NEWNAME FOR DATAFILE 1 to '/u01/dxp1p/data/system01.dbf';

    I believe that RMAN literally cannot either 1) find the file or 2) access the file due to permissions on the backup file piece or the RMAN directory above it.

    Please copy the backup pieces and archivelogs from the target database to the standby database..Do remember that the location on the standby database node must be same as of the target database node..
    For example : if the bkp pieces of target db node is on '/ora_backup/target_name/bkp' then the same locaiton must be created on standby
    if the archivelogs of target db node is on '/ora_backup/target_name/arch' then the same location must be created on standby

  • Installing 10g R2 on WinXP SP2 NL gives ORA-19870, ORA-19612, ORA-06512...

    ASUS K8V SE board + AMD 64 Athlon + 512Mb Ram + 160GB SATA HD + 18GB IDE HD Windows XP SP2 NL
    When I install 10g without creating the db then it installs without problem.
    If I try to create the db (afterwards or during install) I get the following errors:

    I get the option to ( Ignore ) or ( Abort )
    Ignoring brings other simular problem and at the end I dont have a database.
    The files are on the HD and are readable, even installed from a second download gives the same errors.
    I have tryed several things even disable BitDefender 9 internet security but nothing helps.
    Can someone give me some hints ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi damorgan,
    Thank for your reply. I try what you say at the first time but it's failed because of missing file. If it is successfully installed for you, I will try it.
    For me I ignore the database config process and end installation. After that I create successfully my database by orace configuration and migration tools > database config.
    Regards.

  • ORA-19502, ORA-27601, async_io fails

    I have posted the following on the Linux forum as well. After reading posts on this forum please note we are not running out of disk space and permissions are ok. We have other servers identically configured with no errors. One hypothesis is that it may have to do with Netbackup 6 client being installed. Our normal configuration is with disk_asynch_io=true and filesystemio_options=setall. We have temporarily set these 2 params to false and none to see if this intermittent problem stops.
    We have encountered the disk I/O errors noted elsewhere and in Metalink 395350.1 but are not using
    Veritas and do not want to set disk_asynch_io=false and filesystemio_options=none. We are using ASM with
    a corporate SAN, Oracle oracleasm libraries but the problem occurs only at the local RAID which is Linux ext2
    filesystem not ASM.
    Linux Redhat version is 2.6.18-92.e15xen x86-64
    Oracle version 10.2.0.4.0
    Server is Dell R900
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Peter

    Can you post the error message?
    I guess the error ORA-27601 is incorrect. I see the following Metalink note 396057.1- ORA-19502 ORA-27061 Warning:Oracle Process Running Out Of Os Kernel I/O Resources.
    its a Bug 5609038.

    Did you duplexed the controlfile? If you did, then you may try use the other one to do the restore.

  • IR Report Search - ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00936: missing expression

    Hi All,
      I had created a IR report based on a table and it was working with no issues.  But after few days, when I try searching using the IR search bar it shows "ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00936: missing expression" error message. I don't see any debug messages or errors in the debug window. The Finder drop down is empty too, there are no columns displayed to filter.
    When I recreate the IR report(new page) based on the same table, It works fine and there are no issues with the search.  But the old IR report search doesnt work. I have not modified the any thing in the old report after initial creation. Report uses Primary key based on a sequence.
    What might have caused this issue?
    Is there a way to intercept the search query from IR report?
    Apex version - 4.2.3.00.08.
    Any help on this appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jagan

    Hi MK, as I had mentioned in my post, I don't see any logs in the debug window, query tab.
    Can you please guide me how to check the query logs on search?
    Thanks,

  • Error handling function: ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error:ORA-00942: table or view does not exist  is not trapped. Why?

    Why APEX 4.1 Error handling function does not trap  the error of missing table?
    Say, I create simple application with single IR report page and I also assign standard simple error handling function.
    Function works perfectly, except but this case:
    If I just drop a table used by report page and then refresh the page I am getting usual APEX error message:
    ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    and error handling function is not invoked at all.
    Is this a feature or a bug?

    Hi,
    Check the corrections given in the note 990764:
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Up to now, using a characteristic with its own master data read class as the InfoProvider was not supported. This is now released but it is not available for all modelings. Using the attributes in the query is not supported for characteristics that have their own master data read class. Using the attributes in the query causes a termination. The following errors may occur in this case:
    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    Fehler in CL_SQL_RESULT_SET  Include NEXT_PACKAGE
    RAISE_READ_ERROR in CL_RSDRV_VPROV_BASE
    Solution
    SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI
               Import Support Package 11 for SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI (BI Patch 11 or SAPKW70011) into your BI system. The Support Package is available once Note 0914305 "SAPBINews BI 7.0 Support Package 11", which describes this Support Package in more detail, has been released for customers.
    In urgent cases you can implement the correction instructions.
    The correction instructions contain the tightened inspection for characteristics.

  • IR: ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00904: : invalid identifier

    Hi everyone,
    has anyone else had this error which has been driving me round the bend during the last three days?
    I have an interactive report which used to work fine.
    Now it happens (when the page loads/a filter is en- or disabled) that - from time to time, but unpredictable - I receive
    ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00904: : invalid identifier
    The report is based on a table function.
    I will try to set up a testcase and post the link here, but so far I haven't managed to force the error to occur.
    But maybe someone else has already bumped into this kind of error? I would be grateful for any hints!
    Best regards,
    Sabine
    Application Express 4.1.0.00.32
    Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production

    Hi Jari,
    I changed the type definition (the return type of the table function) and extended the select list in the source of the IR.
    I do not use 'select *' but reference every column explicitly. So APEX easked me whether to add the new column.
    I also tried deleting in recreating the region, but no luck.
    Any more ideas?

  • ORA-20006: ORA-01722: invalid number ORA-06512: at "APPS.WF_NOTIFICATION"

    Hi,
    I am having a wft program, which checks a function activity and depending on the value returned sends difference notifications.
    The package body completed successfully from backend and while running the workflow program it sends a notification also. But while opening the notification it gives the following error,
    ORA-20006: ORA-01722: invalid number ORA-06512: at "APPS.WF_NOTIFICATION", line 5328 ORA-06512: at line 5
    I have 3 procedures in my package body and all the 3 procedures have exceptions defined as follows, if they are using any workflow activities.
    ==========================================================
    EXCEPTION
         WHEN OTHERS THEN
              WF_CORE.context (
              'WFCustCheck',
              'MisCustDataFromTableDoc',
              document_id,
              display_type,
              document,
              document_type,
              SQLERRM
    RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR (-20006, SQLERRM);
    ==========================================================
    But I am not able to figure out what is causing this error. What does this "line 5328 ORA-06512: at line 5" in the error message indicate?. My package body has only 600 lines. And why is the error message not displaying the procedure name? though I have defined the procedure name in the exception.
    What is the best way to get the procedure name in the error message? So that it becomes easier for identifying which procedure is causing the erro?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Instead of the RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR command, just replace that with RAISE;
    The error is coming out of the package that is sending the notification (WF_NOTIFICATION), which is invoked when you open the notification. I'm guessing that line 5 is the line in your code though.
    Are you using documents to send the notification, or are they purely defined in the .wft file?
