ORA-20002: 3133: Activity instance 'VERICONDGER' is not a notified activity

HI
I've a jsp that is calling a PL/SQL procedure wich have this statement:
WF_ENGINE.CompleteActivity(L_ITEM_TYPE,processo,'VERIFICONDGER',resultado);
but when i run this jsp i've this error:
ORA-20002: 3133: Activity instance 'VERICONDGER' is not a notified activity for item 'PROCOFIN/03022204051652'.
I already saw the process diagram and i didn't understand one thing
Before the VERICONDGER activity i've another activity that have a begin date but didn't have end date, and have green border, but the VERIFICONDGER activity has the green border too and has the begin date but the arrow between these two activitys is not green.
Anyone have an idea what is the problem.
Thanks
Ricardo Constantino

run Complete_wf.sql. there is a flow problem in your process. the flow is not able to go to the next activity due to the results returned.

    Could anyone suggest how I can debug this issue.

    Sosa,
    When i run the wfstat nothing wrong in the info. unable to find the issue.
    But, i have narrow down the issue. In the function process in my workfow i am calling a custom function called update_approval_status_new.
    In this the value of the respond notification to be updated to a header table of this workflow and insert into events tables.
    When i comment these two dml ( update to header status & insert into events ) there is no error.
    Can any one tells me can i update and insert custom tables in workflow or not. If I want to do this, what is procedure.

  • Error: ORA-16532: Data Guard broker configuration does not exist

    Hi there folks. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
    Anyways, we have a 10.2.0.4 rac primary and a 10.2.0.4 standby physical standby. We recently did a switchover and the dgbroker files automatically got created in the Oracle_home/dbs location of the primary. Now need to move these files to the common ASM DG. For this, I followd the steps from this doc:
    How To Move Dataguard Broker Configuration File On ASM Filesystem (Doc ID 839794.1)
    The only exception to this case is that I have to do this on a Primary and not a standby so I am disabling and enabling the Primary(and not standby as mentioned in below steps)
    To rename the broker configuration files in STANDBY to FRA/MYSTD/broker1.dat and FRA/MYSTD/broker2.dat, Follow the below steps
    1. Disable the standby database from within the broker configuration
    DGMGRL> disable database MYSTD;
    2. Stop the broker on the standby
    SQL> alter system set dg_broker_start = FALSE;
    3. Set the dg_broker_config_file1 & 2 parameters on the standby to the appropriate location required.
    SQL> alter system set dg_broker_config_file1 = '+FRA/MYSTD/broker1.dat';
    SQL> alter system set dg_broker_config_file2 = '+FRA/MYSTD/broker2.dat'
    4. Restart the broker on the standby
    SQL> alter system set dg_broker_start = TRUE
    5. From the primary, enable the standby
    DGMGRL> enable database MYSTD;
    6. Broker configuration files will be created in the new ASM location.
    I did so but when I try to enable the Primary back I get this:
    Error: ORA-16532: Data Guard broker configuration does not exist
    Configuration details cannot be determined by DGMGRL
    Form this link,(Errors setting up DataGuard Broker it would seem that I would need to recreate the configuration....Is that correct ? If yes then how come Metalink is missing this info of recreating the configuration... OR is it that that scenario wouldnt be applicable in my case ?
    Thanks for your help.

    Yes I can confirm from the gv$spparameter view that the changes are effective for all 3 instances. From the alert log the alter system didnt throw u pany errros. I didnt restart the instances though since I dont have the approvals yet. But I dont think thats required.

    DG broker is the way to go. There are only minor points you can't control - like when you have standby redo logs and no redo application delay, dg broker will always start real-time apply.
    Also, DG broker is the only way if you want fast-start failover (10gR2 feature).
    What is the latency of your nework, especially under load? Add this latency to each commit - will the commit time be acceptable? If not, you cannot use sync.
    What version do you use? In 10gR1, there are issues with async - there is only about 50MB buffer, and if you get such backlog, even with async commit will wait for standby. (In 10gR2 this is solved, async will read from disk redo logs.)
    NET_TIMEOUT - set it low for sync (so commits won't hang long), higher for async. Default is 180 seconds, Oracle recommends minimum value to 10 seconds. I would start with 10 sec for sync, 180 for sync. The main question is, how reliable your network is, and how long brownouts you want to survive without affecting data protection (with the expense of performance).
    Regarding the proper setting of all bells and whistles of archive_log_dest_n - I had best experience with leaving it to dg broker. Just set LogXptMode property to sync/async/arch, and let dg broker set everything else (service, valid_for, affirm, retries...).
    The authoritative source: http://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/availability/htdocs/maa.htm#Publications
    If you are on 10.2.0.1 - 10.2.0.3, please see metalink bug 5578157, 5587231 - if sqlnet.outbound_connection_timeout is not set, the lgwr can hang even if net_timeout is set. (Yes, real-world experience:-)

  • When occurs crash recovery,why use active online redo log not archived log?

    If current redo log had archived, but it's still 'ACTIVE'. As we all know, archived log is just an archived copy of the current redo log which is still 'ACTIVE', they have the same data. But why use active online redo log not archived log for crash recovery?(I think, if crash recovery can use archived log, then whether the online redo log is 'ACTIVE' or not, it can be overwritten)

    If your instance crashes, Oracle attempts Instance Recovery -- reading from the Online Redo Logs. It doesn't need ArchiveLogs for Instance Recovery.
    TanelPoder
    Whether the log is already archived or not doesn't matter here, when the instance crashes, Oracle needs some blocks from that redolog. Archivelog is just an archived copy of the redolog, so you could use either the online or achive log for the recovery, it's the same data in there (Oracle reads the log/archivelog file header when it tries to use it for recovery and validates whether it contains the changes (RBA range) in it what it needs).

    John,
    Are you sure that the instance recovery (not the media recovery) would be using the archived redo logs? Since the only thing that would be lost is the isntance, there wouldn't be any archived redo log generated from the Current redo log and the previous archived redo logs, would be already checkpointed to the data file, IMHO archived redo logs won't participate in the instance recovery process. Yep, shall watch the video but tomorrow .

    That's what I said. Or meant to say. If Oracle used archivelogs for instance recovery, it would not be possible to recover in noarchive log mode. So recovery relies exclusively on the online log.
    Sorry I wasted your time, I'll try to be less ambiguous in future

  • Getting ORA-20002: 3825: Error '-4061-ORA-04061: Error from business event

    Hi,
    I have defined custom subscription to the iRecruitment business event oracle.apps.per.api.assignment.update_apl_asg . In this custom subscription i am launching a custom workflow to send Notification about offer acceptance or Application Submission information.
    The subscription package is in my custom schema. When i do transaction to invoke the subscription i am getting below error.

    "XXPJ.XXPJ_IREC_EXT_COMPONENTS_PK" has been invalidated ORA-04065: not executed, altered or dropped package "XXPJ.PT in Package irc_party_swi Procedure
    registered_user_application.
    I need to bounce the Workflow services and Apache server to clear this error and functionality work for some time, again after doing 3-4 transaction i get the same error.
    Any help on this appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ram

    From error: "existing state of has been invalidated ORA-04061" It only can happen when current db session finds this package as INVALID. Now when which cases it can find ir INVALID:
    1) One case is that: some other db session "really" compiled your current package. Please note: even if the status is VALID but other db session will see that as INVALID in first attempt and in second attempt, current db session will try to recompile that on-the-fly.
    2) Or Some other db session compiled or altered dependent objects, I mean objects on which your current package is dependent on.

    How to find out all active instances in a system

    Go to your basis team and ask them, as far as i know there is no other way then suggested in the other answer, but that is not a complete picture, And that is as designed, why should one want to be able to find out, the basis consultant will tell you!

  • Ora-12528 all appropriate instances are blocking new connections

    hi,
    i get an error 'ora-12528 all appropriate instances are blocking new connections'
    i have changed shared_servers parameters. from there itself i get the error

    With zero substantive information about your environment, it is impossible to know for sure.
    But, if you've just set SHARED_SERVERS=0, for example, and your tnsnames.ora has a line in it that says (SERVER=SHARED), then your client is demanding the use of shared servers which don't exist. You can therefore expect the sort of error you're getting.
    The fix is to remove the explicit demand for shared servers in the tnsnames.ora. Just remove the line (or, not quite such good practice, set it to DEDICATED).
