ORA-600 generates an error in an Oracle Form

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kgiflpush], [1], [0x60000000009CEBC8]
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kgiflpush], [2], [0x6000000000994890]
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [729], [168], [space leak]

This is what happend in our case when we upgraded our system to Oracle 9i.
If you are in Oracle 9i DB and if you are accessing remote database object in the form and if the remote database is 8i or older leads to this problem.
It also generates a ora-600 file in the remote system.
Solution:
If you are accessing a remote table, instead of accessing directly, create a view in your DB which is similar to remote table and reference that view in your form.
I hope this helps you.

  • ORA-01722: invalid number error coming in Oracle 10g.

    Hi,
    We are getting the error "ORA-01722: invalid number" while opening a cursor using CURSOR FOR LOOP.
    This error has started coming only after we have migrated to Oracle 10g from Oracle 9i. Earlier the same code used to work properly. And also on Oracle 10g, its not happening every time. Sometimes it gives error while sometimes it works.
    Does anybody know about any such bug in Oracle 10g. Our cursor is a parametrized cursor accepting a VARCHAR2 parameter and the value we are passing to it is also character.
    Our database is Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production and is running on UNIX server.

    And also on Oracle 10g, its not happening every time. Sometimes it gives error while sometimes it works. This is typically due to
    a) environment settings that differ from session to session
    b) or more often, data
    The actual error means that Oracle expects a number and is unable to obtain a number from the input (data or SQL or bind variables) supplied. I agree with William that it looks a lot like an implicit TO_NUMBER() conversion failing.
    Why not add a debug exception handler to the code? When that exception occurs, dump the PL/SQL call stack and values of all variables and parameters to a debug/logging table (using an autonomous transaction).

    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed.Does your printtext.jar Java Bean need to open an HTTP connection in order to print?

    MichaelFerrante,Thank you for your help.
    I have already used the HS services to connecto to external databases from our main Oracle database, and the solution works fine.
    But unfortunally for this particular client he cannont have installed a Oracle database due to internal policies restrictions.
    I can not migrate the full application to another technology like ADF in less than 6 or 8 months.
    Do you thifnk that there is any other solution?

    Diane,
    you are using HTTPS to access Forms Services, as i take it from the URL further down below. It seems that the Forms Service cannot connect to the server and the operation times out. Can you verify that
    https://<your server>/forms90/java/f90all_jinit.jar
    downloads the f90all_jinitz.jar file ?

    Can anyone let me know if this enforcement is specific to Oracla 10g? I am running :

    Well, you've a blank space which isn't a number, that's why you have an error.
    Please see the following example to have a default value :
    SQL> create table tutu (id number, text varchar2(10));
    Table created.
    SQL> alter table tutu modify id default 0;
    Table altered.
    SQL> insert into tutu values (' ', 'NoWork');
    insert into tutu values (' ', 'NoWork')
    ERROR at line 1:

    SQL> insert into tutu values (null,'NullValue');
    1 row created.
    SQL> insert into tutu (text) values ('Default');
    1 row created.
    SQL> insert into tutu values (1,'NonDefault');
    1 row created.

  • ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error while running Oracle Form 10g over IE

    Hi,
    I am getting the following error message while running my form over Internet Explorer. What could be the error and the solution.
    ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
    I am using the same user id/password that i used to create the database.
    Plz help.
    thanks,
    RV

    unless you defined the TWO_TASK in your environment, you might need to provide it during the login. The typical Forms login screen has 3 fields, username/password and TWO_TASK , which is the alias used for the database server in the tnsnames.ora file on your end. If you are using iAS forms, then a proper RAD (Resource Access Descriptor) needs to be created by the DBA or whoever manages the iAS server. This is only if SSO is utilized, if not, then you need to provide TWO_TASK as well.
    Hope this proves useful

    Thanks a lot!!!

    The user can write a query on this field and click on button with code above.This is such a big NO NO NO! A user writing his own queries? You are really asking for problems.
    VSTATUS := EXEC_SQL.EXECUTE(VCURSOR); -- ----------------------->> ERROR HERE!!!!!!!!What is the value of vcursor?

    I want konw the oracle10g devloper suite work with winds7 or not The answer is no, refer to metalink/MOS:
    Forms / Reports Builder 10gR2 or 11g Certification on MS Windows 7 [ID 1112213.1]
    Either you upgrade Forms to 11g or you downgrade the OS to XP or Vista (but not to Home editions).

  • Invalid object error while migrating oracle forms 6i to APEX

    Hi,
    I have a form name abc.fmb and I did converted to xml and imported using application migration in APEX
    With these I have nine PL/SQL libraries (PLL). converted it to PLD using rwconvertor and imported in APEX. Also, I have 4 tables i.e data base block in forms.
    Now, when i m migrating forms to APEX it is giving an error message saying invalid objects and shows the table name and column name. But the column name that it shows is a text box in the form that is also a database item ...
    eg:- addr is the block name in forms
    item name dsp_name
    error: invalid object
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    AP.
