Oracle 11g - how to disable the Static Type-Checking of XQuery Expressions

Hi,
I loaded XML files using pl/sql in Oracle 10 suggesfully and now after upgrading to 11g the thing doesn't work anymore.
I believe the problem has to do with the DTD, the xml files structure is not as specified in the DTD. I did get away in Oracle 10 issuing the alter session set events ='31156 trace name context forever, level 2' in the code. Now this doesn't seem to have any effect. When loading the xml file I get the following error message
"ORA-19276 XPST0005 - Xpath step specifies an invalid element/attribute name"
How can I skip the checking as I can't change the DTD's.
TIA,
Kari

DTD Support in Oracle XML DB
A DTD is a set of rules that define the allowable structure of an XML document. DTDs are text files that derive their format from SGML and
can be associated with an XML document either by using the <code>DOCTYPE</code> element or by using an external file through a DOCTYPE
reference. In addition to supporting XML Schema, which provides a structured mapping to object-relational storage or binary XML storage,
Oracle XML DB also supports DTD specifications in XML instance documents. Though DTDs are not used to derive the mapping, XML
processors can still access and interpret the DTDs.
Inline DTD Definitions
When an XML instance document has an inline DTD definition, it isused during document parsing. Any DTD validations and entity
declaration handling is done at this point. However, once parsed, theentity references are replaced with actual values and the original
entity reference is lost.
External DTD Definitions
Oracle XML DB also supports external DTD definitions if they are stored in Oracle XML DB Repository. Applications needing to process an
XML document containing an external DTD definition such as /public/flights.dtd, must first ensure that the DTD document is stored in Oracle XML DB at path /public/flights.xsd.
.... thats all I could find...

  • Oracle 11g: How to ensure the same transaction across several BPEL calls?

    How to ensure transaction semantics across invocations of several BPEL services with a Database operations (Insert, update)? We are using transaction REQUIRED property in all of our BPELs. We are using webserive and JCA to access and modify the same row. Our code uses a combination of JCA, Spring bean, enity services, EJBs in these BPELs. The code can be more efficient, but, at this point, we have no option but to fix the transaction issue in this code. So, our question is how to ensure the same transaction context is used in all these BPELs to inser/update the same row? We have tried to set the GetUnitOfWork in the JCA Adapter but it did not provide any solution. Apaert from setting transaction in BPEL to REQUIRED and the JCA Adapter to use Unit of work, we are out of ideas. Any help is much apprecited. We are using Oracle SOA Suite 11g 11.1.1.5 version. --chary

    Hi,
    I can help you if you can describe the processes.
    There can be some difficulties when you try to use the same transaction especially when you use many DB transactions & BPEL processes.
    Using unit of work only ,might not be enough.
    Thanks

  • In OBIEE 11G, how to get the special parameter created by JAVA?

    Hi Experts,
    In OBIEE 11G, how to get the special parameter created by JAVA?
    For example:
    In JAVA , it has set one parameter named 'test'.
    So how to get the parameter in filter area in OBIEE?

    Hi Kobe,
    No P2 holds the parameter name like PresentationTable.ColumnName, in your form you may go for complete name or just column name and before submitting the form you can define the Action url.
    I would suggest to read section 6.3.2.1.
    ex:
    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
    changeAction(url) {
    var TestVar = form.inputbox.value;
    document.this_form.action="saw.dll?Go&Path=/Shared/Test/SB2&Action=Navigate&P0=1&P1=like&P2=Customers.Region&P3="+TestVar;
    </SCRIPT>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <FORM NAME="myform" ACTION="" METHOD="GET">Enter something in the box: <BR>
    <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="inputbox" VALUE=""><P>
    <INPUT TYPE="button" NAME="button" Value="Click" onClick="changeAction(this.value)">
    </FORM>
    If helps pls mark.

    hi,
    you can use get_item_property built-in
    eg:
    declare
       l_item VARCHAR2(10);
    begin
       l_item := Get_Item_Property('item_name',DATATYPE);
    end;

  • 11g: how to disable tooltip for gauge?

    Hi,
    dvt:graph and dvt:gauge (type=LED) displays a tooltip by default when you move mouse over series or led.
    With dvt:graph you can set property markertooltiptype to "MTT_NONE" to avoid this default tooltip.
    For dvt:gauge I can't find such a possibility.
    How to disable the default tooltip for dvt:gauge too?
    Jdev 11.1.1.0.2
    regards
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
    For a gauge, the best way to disable tooltips is to use the renderImagemap attribute with imageFormat="PNG". For example:
    <dvt:gauge gaugeType="LED" imageFormat="PNG" renderImagemap="false"/>
    If instead you decide to customize the gauge tooltips, you can use the shapeAttributes alt attribute (without the renderImagemap="false"):
    <dvt:gauge>
    <dvt:shapeAttributesSet>
    <dvt:shapeAttributes component="GAUGE_PLOTAREA" alt="Your Tooltip"/>
    </dvt:shapeAttributesSet>
    </dvt:gauge>
    Hope this helps,
    Hugh

  • How to disable the salary button

    How to disable the salary button in "Combined Per & Asg Form WKFLW_NAME="US HRMS PERSON TASKFLOW" screen function.

    You should not modify the taskflow "US HRMS PERSON TASKFLOW" directly. Instead, create a new Taskflow that contains the navigation items you require, and then create a new function that uses the Taskflow.
    1. Create a Tasklfow
    2. Create a Function using the form "Combined Per & Asg Form" including the parameter WORKFLOW_NAME="XX HRMS PERSON TASKFLOW" (or whatever you have called it)
    3. Use this function in your menu definition.

    Hi,
    You can use it_excluding to disable button on the tool bar.You have to find the function code for the required button and append that function code to the it_excluding .The optional IMPORTING parameter IT_EXCLUDING is an internal table. It is only needed if the caller uses the list tool standard interface but wants to deactivate interface functions which he or she does not need.You can have your defined pf-status using I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET.

  • How to disable the dashboard and spotlight for the latest Iion OS

    How to disable the dashboard and sportlight function in the latest Mac OS?

    to disable spotlight, open the terminal and type "sudo mdutil -a -i off" without the quotes. ( You will be prompted to enter your admin password.)
    to disable dashboard:
    Open Terminal, and then type this command, followed by the Return key:
    defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES
    This tells the system that you no longer wish to have Dashboard available. However, the Dashboard task is actually “owned” by the Dock, so to make your changes take effect, you need to restart the Dock. The easiest way to do that is to type this command into the Terminal (and press Return when done):
    killall Dock
    After the Dock restarts, hit F12 and you’ll see…nothing at all. If you run Activity Monitor, you also won’t find any Dashboard widgets in the list of tasks, even if you had several open when you ran the above command.

  • How to change the NAT type to Open on a Imac using bridged connections

    Hey everyone I have a problem. I play xbox live with my friends and i just moved and dont have a wireless adapter anymore. so i have bridged connections with my imac and xbox via ethernet. It works perfectly, but the only problem is that when i connect it say that my NAT type is strict. To play with all my friends i need a open NAT type. Does anyone know how to make the NAT type on the Imac open. And i do have a D-link router model DIR-625. When i called D-link they said to port forward, i did and it still didnt work, they said it must be the fire wall on the mac, microsoft said the same thing, that it might be the fire wall. I checked the fire wall and it said "All Incoming connections are allowed".
    I would really much appreciate it if someone helped me. Thank you!

    Yes, most likely. Microsoft has provided a list of XBox LIVE!-compatible routers. Since the OS X Internet Sharing feature is limited, there is no way to configure port mapping or placing the XBox in a DMZ with it. Typically, you either use a compatible router or configure port mapping/DMZ for non-compatible routers.
