Oracle ADf :Gives error like Invalid Object
Hi,
I am using SOA 11g for development. in my project i am having one view which contain two tables.
when i run my application it is giving error like
An unknown error occurred during data streaming.
Ask your System Administrator to inspect the server-side logs
Invalid object name 'ViewBookInfo'.
Plz suggest a solution for the same.
Thanks
Vinod
Vinod,
So, did you look at the server-side logs? Is this an SOA application or an ADF application (if it's SOA, you should be on {forum:id=320}, but you'll need to provide more information and do some basic research even on that forum as well).
If it's an ADF application, what do the server-side logs say? What are you doing that causes the error? What is the exact version of JDeveloper?

Hi All,
I applied SQL server 2008 R2 SP3 recently but report builder doesn't work since then
When click on report builder gives error like 'Application validation did not succeed. Unable to continue.
and when I try to see details the error summary like following:
+File, Microsfot.ReportingServices.ComponentLibrary.Controls.dll, has a different computed hash than specified in manifest.
this is urgent.
Please reply me asap.
thanks a lot in advance.

Regards, NamanHi nikp11,
According to your description, you recently updated SQL Server 2008 R2 to SP3, Report Builder doesn’t work since then the error occurs: "Application validation did not succeed. Unable to continue".
This is an known issue in SSRS 2008 R2 SP3 that Microsoft has published an article addressing this issue. It is not planning to release a fix for this issue. But we could implement one of the following workarounds:
Install and run Report Builder 3.0 of SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM.
Install and run Report Builder of SQL Server 2014.
Uninstall Service Pack 3 then uninstall Service Pack 2 and then reinstall Service Pack 3.
Reference:
Report Builder of SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 3 does not launch
Thank you for your understanding.

Oracle ADF Mobile getting array of objects from webservice
hi,
i am trying to fetch a certain number of records using a webservice call and then storing in the SQLLite DB in the mobile.
i understand i can create a data control using the webservice > then?
my webservice returns an array of objects.
how can i do that?
regards,
adIt's fairly easy.
What I have done is created a WebService Controller (plain java class) which calls the methods (from the WS) programmaticly.
Example :
public class WSController {
private final String WSDataControllerName = "ThisIsTheNameOfMyWebserviceDataControl";
private List pnames ,ptypes ,params;
public WSController() {
super();
public List getAllActioncodesFromWS()
//start - WS empty params
pnames = new ArrayList();
params = new ArrayList();
ptypes = new ArrayList();
pnames.add("findCriteria");
params.add(null);
ptypes.add(Object.class);
pnames.add("findControl");
params.add(null);
ptypes.add(Object.class);
//end - WS empty params
List actionCodes = new ArrayList();
try
GenericType result = (GenericType)AdfmfJavaUtilities.invokeDataControlMethod(WSDataControllerName, null, "findActioncodesView1",pnames, params, ptypes);
if(result!=null)
for (int i = 0; i < result.getAttributeCount(); i++)
GenericType row = (GenericType)result.getAttribute(i);
Actioncode wd = (Actioncode)GenericTypeBeanSerializationHelper.fromGenericType(Actioncode.class, row);
actionCodes.add(wd);
catch (AdfInvocationException e)
e.getMessage();
catch (Exception e)
e.getMessage();
return actionCodes;
}I also defined a Pojo named Actioncode :
Note that the attribute names are completly the same as the VO from the web service.
public class Actioncode {
String Actioncode,Descript1;
public Actioncode() {
super();
public Actioncode(String Actioncode, String Descript1) {
super();
this.Actioncode = Actioncode;
this.Descript1 = Descript1;
public void setActioncode(String Actioncode) {
this.Actioncode = Actioncode;
public String getActioncode() {
return Actioncode;
public void setDescript1(String Descript1) {
this.Descript1 = Descript1;
public String getDescript1() {
return Descript1;
}Since the WS method returns a GenericType, you can 'convert' that object to an POJO.
Read more about it here :
http://adf4beginners.blogspot.be/2013/01/adf-mobile-how-to-iterate-over-all-rows.html
I know the blog post is about iterating over rows in an iterator, but it's just to illustrate how you can work with the GenericType -

As title states, I recently reinstalled iTunes/Quicktime on my Windows 7 machine and have slowly been adding my .m4v videos as I watch them. All of these videos had been encoded using handbrake to watch on my AppleTV and iDevices. Up until today, I've been able to add my videos fine, and play them through AirPlay to my devices. Today, I tried adding one to watch and I was unable to add it to my iTunes library, and unable to play it in QuickTime and was prompted with the error in the title. I tried playing existing videos to no avail, and was unable to delete and re-add the videos (that had been previously played) to my library. Searching through the community here I've seen 'fixes' to rename file extensions which does not seem to work in my case. I am able to get some .m4v encodes to play, but they were from a different source. To my knowledge no software has been updated, and my workstation has remained up (on) since the videos have last worked.
Thoughts?sorry to hijack your post but how does one post a new topic on these forums? gota lov apple, i've been here to the website many times and the post a new topic button is gone? why is this when i am logged in?! apple needs to stop making commercials and spend more time on better products. starting with some basic stuff on the forums.

Error in Librarie oracle.adf.management
Hi all,
I installed JDeveloper version 11.1.1.5.0 along with the correct WebCenter extensions (http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/156082.xml).
Everytime i open the JDeveloper i got the following error on extesions tabs:
oracle.adf.management

When i try to run a simple project i got a java.lang.nullpointerException on ADF
-> at oracle.adf.model.binding.DCBindingContainerReference.getDef(DCBindingContainerReference.java:111)
Can those errors be related? How do i resolve this?
Regards,
João LoureiroI have the same problem during compile project this err occur.

We have recently begun using Extended Events in SQL Server 2012. I noticed something that I don't understand and haven't found an explanation for. There seem to be a lot of exceptions logged for "Invalid object name '#x'", where #x is any temp
table name. This includes ones like "Invalid object name '#tmp_sp_help_category'", which is not even a table in our code.
This does not seem to happen consistently, but I have repro'd it several times. Each time there is no error shown in Management Studio. It happens on alters of stored procedures that use temp tables as well as when they are run. It happens even for a script
as simple as the one below, which logs an exception saying "Invalid object name '#x'" and indicating that it has a severity of 16.
Has anyone run across this? I am guessing these are not exceptions that should actually be logged, but then again there might be times when a temp table really is missing, so we can't just ignore them all.
Thanks,
Ron Rice

INVALID 상태의 OBJECT를 RECOMPILE하는 PROCEDURE
ORACLE SERVER
INVALID 상태의 OBJECT를 RECOMPILE하는 PROCEDURE
===============================================
Purpose
Explanation
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE RecompileInvalid IS
CURSOR getlist IS SELECT object_type, object_name FROM
user_objects WHERE status = 'INVALID' AND
object_type IN ('PROCEDURE', 'FUNCTION', 'PACKAGE',
'PACKAGE BODY', 'TRIGGER' );
schemaname VARCHAR2(100);
CURSOR geterr ( objname VARCHAR2, objtype VARCHAR2 ) IS
SELECT text, line, position FROM user_errors WHERE
name = objname AND type = objtype;
BEGIN
SELECT username INTO schemaname FROM user_users;
FOR getlistrec IN getlist LOOP
dbms_output.put_line( 'attempting compile on ' ||
getlistrec.object_name );
dbms_ddl.alter_compile( getlistrec.object_type,
schemaname, getlistrec.object_name );
END LOOP;
FOR getlistrec IN getlist LOOP
dbms_output.put_line( '---ERROR---' );
dbms_output.put_line( 'compile failed on ' ||
getlistrec.object_name );
FOR geterrrec IN geterr( getlistrec.object_name,
getlistrec.object_type ) LOOP
dbms_output.put_line( 'line: ' || geterrrec.line ||
' col: ' || geterrrec.position );
dbms_output.put_line( substr( geterrrec.text, 1, 100 ));
END LOOP;
END LOOP;
END;
Example
SQL> spool Compile.log
SQL> set serveroutput on
SQL> exec recompileinvalid;
attempting compile on CRYPTIT
attempting compile on CRYPTIT
attempting compile on DECRYPT
attempting compile on ENCRYPT
attempting compile on SYNC_IM_INDEX
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
utlrp.sql을 수행했습니다.
## invalidobj.sql
doc
invalid 된 object에 대한 출력
col owner format a20
col object_name format a30
select owner, object_name, OBJECT_TYPE,CREATED,LAST_DDL_TIME, STATUS
from dba_objects where status<>'VALID';

Thanks for the reply. I can't find any material so that I can aware with JSF introduction (with demos) and ADF Faces. So will you please suggest me some tutorial or demos related to JSF and ADF faces. I passed through the video demos of Oracle ADF homepage but still I can't understand the use of those tags.

Profiler bug? (Invalid object name '#Results'.)
Hi. I've been using SQL Server Profiler to look for any "Exception" events, across any databases, etc.
Despite no issues from SSMS, I notice that the error message "Invalid object name '#Results'." shows up in Profiler when I run the following example queries (either ad-hoc or stored procedure):
CREATE TABLE #Results (myDate datetime)
INSERT INTO #Results(myDate) SELECT getdate()
SELECT * FROM #Results
DROP TABLE #Results
or
SELECT getdate() AS myDate INTO #Results
SELECT * FROM #Results
DROP TABLE #Results;
I'm all for standards... is there a way to re-write the query to prevent Profiler from catching a false-positive Exception?To add on Stefan's comment about deferred name resolution, remember that Profiler/SQL Trace (as well as Extended Events) expose internals of SQL Server operation that are not otherwise visible. An understanding of SQL Server architecture and internals
is sometimes needed to properly interpret the results.
