    Any one have an idea that which institute other than oracle school, give training for Oracle ADF & Jdeveloper in Dubai, United ARab Emirates.
    I am using Forms10g and would like to upgrade to Jdeveloper.I have no experience in Java.

    I've also written a book, and given I come from a Forms background, it should address many of the issues those coming from a Forms background hit when learning ADF. The book itself is aimed at getting developers up to speed as quickly as possible,
    Quick Start Guide to Fusion Development: JDeveloper and Oracle ADF is now published. See http://www.mhprofessional.com/product.php?isbn=0071744282
    See also http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/formsdesignerj2ee-092778.html which is a page specifically for Forms developers who are picking up JDeveloper and Oracle ADF.

  • Add hyperlink in a page to direct to a .pdf report in oracle ADF jdeveloper

    Hi,
    I want to put a hyperlink, which will direct the user to the report. but I am getting the problem with, "where should I put the pdf file" any help please???
    here is my code:
    <a target="_blank" href="/faces/DocumentationKNM.pdf">Guide Book</a>
    what should be the href?

    Well, this obviously depends on where the pdf report  is on your server and if it's accessible from the web application. For this it must be somewhere in the web root of your application. To access the report somewhere else on the server you can implement a servlet and stream the report from there.
    Summary: we need to describe your use case in more detail.

  • Oracle ADF 11G R1 and Internet Explorer 11 Support

    Hello,
    I need to write my own post even if issue is written on this thread (https://forum.java.sun.com/thread/2602720) Because i suppose that post writer reached to his useful workaround  and no activity seems for a couple of months.
    Use 11.1.1.6 and Win8.1 IE11
    I did not find any solution or workaround which runs properly. Any comments are welcome.
    merry christmast

    The reason for this is that there is no solution at the moment. Oracle is working on one. Also check https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!msg/adf-methodology/NP4g98AvrCw/uYf_cvDna_0J
    To my knowledge you have to open a SR with support.oracle.com and ask them for help to get the back port of the solution once it's ready.
    If you have a support contract you'll find a note for IE11 THERE too.

  • Oracle ADF - Commit operation issue.

    Hi,
    I am new to Oracle ADF. I am using Oracle jDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0
    and facing problem when I try to save a new record from within application.
    I have called a action on commit button and used auto generated code, here is the it -
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    I read that after execute statement framework calls doDML(int operation, TransactionEvent e) method in EOImpl and there we do insert/update/delete...etc,
    But when I debug my application it doesn't. Please correct me if I am wrong.
    Unable to understand what exactly the problem is?
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Madhav.

    Hi,
    Yes, I do have a break point in doDML() of EOImpl.java
    Also I have another break point in bean before it calls the EOImpl's doDML().
    I'll show you the action method in bean which get's call on click of commit button in .jspx,
        public String commitAction() {
            BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
            OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
            Object result = operationBinding.execute();
            if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
                return null;
            return null;
        }In this method I put a break point at
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();from here control doesn't go to EOImpl class.
    Here is the .jspx code for commit button,
    <af:commandButton   text="Commit"
                                    disabled="#{!bindings.Commit.enabled}"
                                    id="cb1"
                                    action="#{CustomerProfileBean.commitAction}"/>Can I use both action and actionListener properties for same command button?
    Is this technically correct?
    Thanks,
    Madhav.

  • Problem in Oracle ADF with JDeveloper. JBO25001

    Hello All,
    I have to develop an application using oracle ADF and JDeveloper. To famalirize my self with the technology, I downloaded the Oracle ADF tutorial "Tutorial for Forms/4GL developers" from Oracle site.
    I am following this tutorial line by line, but still getting an error. I have created
    1) Entities
    2) Associations
    3) Views
    4) ViewLinks
    5) Application Module
    all by wizard.
    After I added my view and view link into the application module and tried to test it it gave me the following error.
    (oracle.jbo.common.ampool.ApplicationPoolException) JBO-30003: The application pool (.10E97657A25) failed to checkout an application module due to the following exception:

    I changed the names of each object but still the problem persisted.
    If any body can help me on this I will really appreciate it. Thanx a ton in advance.
    I have downloaded and using the latest JDeveloper version 10.1.3.1.0.3984
    Please help me on this.
    Regards,
    Saket Maheshwary

    Saket,
    Did you ever get this situation resolved?
    I'm working thru the tutorial myself and get the same error except the object is Product.
    Do you have any clues?

  • Import Functionality in Oracle ADF BC with Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2

    Hi all,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2 and I am trying to import functionality in my application.
    I am following the steps of: http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2008/07/import-functionality-in-oracle-adf-bc.html
    I have 2 data model and I would like to import the functionality of one data model, in the other.
    My problem is when I tried: myModel2-->right click-->project properties-->deployment-->edit
    I don't see nothing to filter myModel2, I see only Library Dependencies, Connections, JAR Options ADF Validation.
    If I tried : myModel2-->right click-->project properties-->deployment-->new-->filters
    I see only the folders: Merged Contents of this file Group's contributor, .data, 00000000
    But I can't see the folders I have (mypackage.test.model.entities).
    Where I can found them? Is there a workaround?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Andrea

    Ok, but I taught that after importing myModel2 in myModel1, Jdeveloper realise a merge and it visualizes a unique package, even if it is splitted on two or more projects/models.
    So that, it seems to me this procedure is useful for importing jar file, but not for splitting a very big project in a lot of smaller projects, doesn't it?
    Thanks for your opinion

  • Oracle ADF Mobile Client extension not found in JDeveloper 11.1..2.2?

    Hi. I was trying to install the extension for mobile development in ADF but unfortunately I could not find the extension.
    I went to Help -> Check for Updates -> Official Oracle Extensions and Updates. Yet i did not find the "Oracle ADF Mobile Client extension" there.
    I am running Jdeveloper 11.1.2.2.
    Is the Oracle ADF Mobile Client framework compatible for 11.1.2.2? Or is it no available anymore? Can someone please enlighten me? Thanks!

  • Oracle ADF Faces integrated in Oracle JDeveloper: Freebie?

    Hi room, I'd like to ask if Oracle ADF Faces, the version integrated in Oracle JDeveloper (this is a freebie) is a Freebie also, any1 knows, do share. Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
    no, it isn't. If you are looking for free software, have a look at MyFaces Trinidad, which is the open source - and thus free - version of ADF Faces

  • Oracle Forms equivalent operations in Oracle ADF

    I need to know whether there are equivalent operations in ADF corresponding to these operations in Oracle Forms
    System.Current_block
    System.Current_record
    System.Current_form
    etc...

    As a mechanism to working out how ADF works, a suggested read is the Fusion Dev Guide: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16182/toc.htm
    Once you've done this, as extension the dev guide has appendixes "F - ADF Equivalents of Common Oracle Forms Triggers" & "G Performing Common Oracle Forms Tasks in Oracle ADF" for assisting Forms programmers in moving to ADF, a feature/mind map as you will.
    However as Vinod says, don't make the mistake of thinking ADF is similar to Forms in its implementation. While Forms and ADF attempt to achieve similar results (ie. applications querying data from a db and showing to the user to view or edit), they do it in totally different technologies.

  • Crud-operations-in-oracle-adf

    hi, I am using 11g 1.2 and ADF BC
    I followed the sample "http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2010/05/crud-operations-in-oracle-adf-11g-table.html" and built a same thing in my bound task-flow.
    the 'Edit' , 'Insert' , 'Save' and 'Undo' button worked perfectly, but the 'Delete' button is not. let say I have three lines in the table, If I click a row and click the 'Delete' button, then all three lines are disapear, May I know why? Thanks for your guide!
    Rgds!

    But I do have the af:form in the page level. My table is inside the region which is in the page.
    I have added a af:Subform around my af:PanelCollection, but the result is worse, even when I click 'INSERT' button, the all three lines are disapear!!!
    May this sample and code can not work properly inside the region?
    Edited by: xsyang on Jul 19, 2011 4:42 AM
    finally I understand that the solution in the sample is for bindings in the page, but my af:table component in the page fragment. may not directly coding like sample. am i worng? can anybody guide me how to refer to binding in the fragment. Thanks!

  • How to find last DML operation in oracle ADF

    how to find last DML operation in oracle ADF
    Please help me
    Thanks
    Damby

    In the base EntityIml class, just override doDML() method as I said.
    (see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16182/appendix_mostcommon.htm
    "Methods for Creating Your Own Layer of Framework Base Classes")
    So, put a some flag in the session.
    You should not call doDML() method in backing bean, it will be called by framework.
    In the backing bean, you only have to get that information from the session, as follows:
    String last_dml_op = (String)ADFContext.getCurrent().getSessionScope().get("last_dml_op");And voila...

  • Does current Oracle Maven Repo supports 11.1.1.7 ADF JDeveloper ?

    Hi All
    Does current Oracle Maven Repo (OMP) supports 11.1.1.7 ADF JDeveloper ?
    What's the minimum JDeveloper version that OMP currently support ?
    Thanks

    Right now, the Oracle Maven Repository only contains artifacts to support ADF 12.1.3.  We will be adding newer versions as they become available but there are currently no plans to add support for 11g-based releases.
