Oracle Apps 11i Apps Cloning Issue

Hi,
Need to some help from Apps gurus on this issue.
When i ran perl adcfgclone.pl appsTier on Application Server got the below error.
First Creating a new context file for the cloned system.
The program is going to ask you for information about the new system:

Yes, I got it going that step and i was struck in perl adcfgclone.pl appsTier.
It's giving the error Enter the Database listener port [1524]:RC-40201: Unable to connect to Database LASRX.
But the LASRX database is up and running and listener port is 1525 and listener is running.

Oracle Apps Adapter Issue

Hi All,
when i am trying to create the oracle app adapter in jdeveloper , I am getting the following error.
java.lang.nullpointerexception at oracle.tip.tools.ide.adapters.designtime.adapter.apps.iRep.IRepStartPage.buildWSDL(IRepStartPage.java:1508)

Oracle apps login issue

When i login as 'apps' user and execute the following command it shows error like this

Oracle apps performance issue

Dear All,
i recenlty cloned an environment on a new server, i can access oracle apps with fine speed once you select a reponsbility and the java take lots of time to open when you are in oracle application (Oracle forms) from there it works so slow even a single click take 1 min or so.
please let me know how can i troubleshoot and improve performance specially once the java opens the oracle forms
OS: OEL 5.5
APPS : R12 (12.1.3)
DB : 11G R1
Single node environment.

Oracle Apps Adapter issues

I have just downloaded and installed SOA 11.1.1.4.0 and am trying to work through the basic labs. I would like to be able to use the Oracle Apps adapter, but am getting the below error when trying to update the apps adapter (to change the status from Installed to Active):
An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
[1] The ra.xml <connection-interface> class 'oracle.tip.adapter.apps.IAppsConnection' was not found in the resource adapter archive/application. [2] The ra.xml <connection-impl-class> class 'oracle.tip.adapter.apps.AppsConnection' was not found in the resource adapter archive/application. [3] The ra.xml <managedconnectionfactory-class> class 'oracle.tip.adapter.apps.AppsManagedConnectionFactory' was not found in the resource adapter archive/application. [4] The ra.xml <connectionfactory-impl-class> class 'oracle.tip.adapter.apps.AppsConnectionFactory' was not found in the resource adapter archive/application.
I logon to the consiole (localhost:7001/console), under Deployments, query on OracleAppsAdapter (whose status is 'Installed').

Configuration Tab -> Outbound Connections Pool (sub-tab) ->
Connection Factory -> eis/Apps/Apps

I navigate to Service -> Data Sources
Datasource Name = eBizDS, JNDI name = jdbc/AppsDataSource
The datasource is able to connect to the DB.
Am I missing any steps? One thing which I noticed is that the OracleAppsAdapter is not deployed on the 'AdminServer' (under Target tab). When I try to deploy it, I get the above error.
Please let me know if I posted in the wrong forum, or if you need any more information.

I deleted the existing OracleAppsAdapter .
1) Clicked on Install
2) Selected AppsAdapter.rar
3) Selected "Install this deployment as application"
4) Selected "AdminServer" as target
5) Changed Name to EBizAppsAdapter.
Under Source accessibility, selected "Use the defaults defined by the deployment's targets"
6) Clicked on 'Activate Changes'.
At this point I can see the new Adapter in Prepared state. When I try to update it, it gives the same error:

I tried to run the preclone in source system in both apps&db tier. Its successfully ran. After that i tried to copy the source system files to target system using scp command: scp -p -r d01.tar.gz root@ipadress: /path. I specified which files are copying to the target system, but that d01.tar.gz files not copying instead os files are copying to the target system, So please give me the solution.
Note:above cloning steps are single-node.

Oracle Apps Cloning

Hi,
One of my customers has this situation. He has an Apps instance running in Taipei and he is accessing the applications from the US. This makes the applications run very slow on the end-user side. Would it help to create a new instance in the US and keep it in-sync with the one in Taipei. Could you also provide what would I need to achieve this.

Try to clone the app layer to US and keep the DB in Taipei. It's essentially a multi-node setup and it may improve the the performance a little. You can also try to optimize the network side of it (e.g. VPN to Taipei or use Citrix solution, etc). I personally don't like the idea of syncing two instances because it'll generate more issues than solving the problems (e.g. backup, how to sync, resources, maintance, etc).

Pro Oracle App Express issue : Running stored proc from link in e-mail..

Just ran into an issue and need some help with it. A person I work with was using code from John Scott's book (Great Book for APEX!!) and was using the verification e-mail link code, when it started acting up.
The e-mail that is sent is to call a procedure in a database package (pkg_auth) procedure is called send_verification_email. We moved his code up to my hosted area on Oracle's site so I could help further.
The e-mail is sent properly, but when the link is clicked through, the following error is returned from the server:
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
mod_plsql: /pls/otn/f HTTP-400 Missing '=' in query string or post form
The link that is being clicked is:

Two parameters being passed are user name and a verification key.

Only tested on Oracle's site right now. He was working on local machine with code, thus we moved to hosted site so we could work together..
Execute rights granted to PUBLIC for named package.
WWV_FLOW_EPG_INCLUDE_MOD_LOCAL: Since this is on Oracle's hosted site, can't really change this setting..
Funny thing is, I believe before the 3.2.1 update, I had a version of this working in a demo for someone (deleted it since then...) now it seems to be having issues..
Strange, the url is being re-written as : [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=&APP_ID.:101:&APP_SESSION.] after the error is displayed. Also that the url seems to long for the address bar and I need to scroll right..

Oracle Apps 11i Cloning with +ASM 10g Database

Can somebody help Apps cloning on the issue facing. Please provide in detailed process Apps Cloning with +ASM.
Trying to Clone 11i Apps environment(11.5.10.2) and Db 10.2.0.4. The database is on +ASM.
1. Copied all the application files from SOURCE to TARGET ( source and target are different servers)
2. Database restored from source and the TARGET database is up and running( Database servers TARGET and SOURCE are 2 different servers.
3. As per doc id 230672.1 , preclone was successful in apps and db servers.
ISSUE:

As per doc id 230672.1 , if we run adcfgclone on database server that messedup the database which is running already on the TARGET server, because adcfgclone recreate control files and all which is already intact for us in +ASM.
Question:

1. do we still need to do anything on the TARGER database server? if need to run , please provide the detailed steps
2. Do we need to run adcfgclone on apps server? please provide the detailed steps.

Yes, restored and the database is up and running.
Then i ran adcfgclone dbtier on database which messedup whole database. Deleted all the file in ASM disk groups and try to restore the database threw RMAN.
Got new error, Please see below.
In the first run previously i got same error but fixed by creating control_files='+LASR','+FLASH' in pfile, again it's giving same error.
Also pasting PFILE.
Any idea on this.

Concurrent Manager Issue in Oracle Apps 11i on MS Windows 2003

Hi,
We have Oracle Apps 11i (11.5.10) on Windows 2003 running Oracle Financilas and Supply Chain.
From this morning onwards, concurrent requests are not getting completed. All requests are showing Running Normally. I checked the server (Single Node 4 GB Memory) and CPU usage is more than 90%. Task Manager is showing 50% CPU usage for SYSTEM (Image Name). Once the CPU usage for SYSTEM(image name) goes beyond 40% then the server is becoming slow and the problem starts.
When I stop the Concurrent Manager it does not stop and I have to End Process the FNDLIBR process manually.
I have recreated the concurrent manager using CCMSETUP and also ran cmclean.sql. Nothing is helping.
System is Live since 2006 and the issue started only today.
Please suggest any solutions as this is happening in our Production system.

Which concurrent manager consumes the CPU usage? Are you able to identify it?
Any errors in the CM log file? Did you try to start the CM with diag=y and see if any errors are reported in the log files?
What happen to the CPU usage when you stop the CM?
I assume that you are running Purge Concurrent Manager/Requests on regular basis, so this should not be an issue here.

Certificate Issue in web services Using j2ee in oracle apps 11i

Hi all,
I am working with web services integration in oracle apps 11i. I used j2ee technology. I installed j2eesdk-1_4_03 and test with j2eetutorial. I have to integrate third party payment system with web services in oracle apps 11i. I run following commands in putty
build: asant build
packing: asant create-war
deploy: asant deploy-war
client java:
compile: asant build
run: asant run
While i run the "asant run" command, i got below the error
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found
I added third party certification but i got same error which i mentioned above.
Is any certification or settings need for run the web services in ebs.

I do the settings according to your advice, i got below error when i run below command to add certificate to keystore.
command:
keytool -import -keystore /usr/j2ee/jdk/jre/lib/security/cacerts -file /usr/Class3G2.cer
Error:
keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Input not an X.509 certificate
