Oracle BI Scheduler Error

Hi all,
I have created a request and added it to the dashboard. I have scheduled the request using Delivers. I have created an iBOT and when i save it the following error is thrown. What cud be the reason?
Oracle BI Scheduler Error: [nQSError: 68019] Authentication Failed.

hi elena, i am encountering same issue now but when i checked the instanceconfig.xml, there is no tag for PartOfCluster. May I know the format for this tag and where to put it in the instanceconfig.xml?

BI Scheduler error after SSL

Hi,
I am unable to schedule the reports after implementing SSL in OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2
I get the below error. when ever i try to save the agent.
The following error occurred: Oracle BI Scheduler Error: Error Message From BI Security Service: [nQSError: 12002] Socket communication error at call=SSL_connect: (Number=1) error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed
[nQSError: 46119] Failed to open HTTP connection to server 167.83.84.82 at port 9814.
[nQSError: 68021] Message from Oracle BI Scheduler.
Please let me know if there is any confugration that needs to be done to BI scheduler after implemeting SSL

please make sure SSL Cerificate installed properly...i just implemented step by step..refer my document with screen short.
Are you using Custom SSL Cerificate or Oracle Demo? if your using custom certicate just check with u r SSL Admin (CA, port expire date..etc)

MS Services error 1064 when trying to start Oracle BI Scheduler service

I am trying to configure Oracle BI Scheduler. After working through the config routines the Oracle BI Scheduler Service needs to be re-started. The Microsoft error message I get in the Services dialog is both consistent and persistent: "Could not start the Oracle BI Scheduler on local computer. Error 1064: An exception occurred in the service when handling the control request." This error seems to be well-known among users of this product, but the solution - if there is one - is not at all well-known... at least to me. Any help?

Follow this article and make sure you defined all the steps. If any of these steps are wrong, the service throws the error.

Error 1064 while starting the Oracle BI Scheduler in Windows 7 - 32 bit

Hi Everyone,
When starting the OBIEE Version 10.1.3.3.3 's BI Scheduler, the following error has been retreived. ( I have installed newly and the rpd and the webcat has been placed in the corresponding folders newly. Before placing the rpd newly , when i started the Oracle BI Server , the same error has been retreived. But after replacing, its coming only for the Oracle BI Scheduler.
Error 1064 : An exception Occurred in the service when handling the control request
Please let me know your points to fix it in my local machine. ( The server mentioned above are installed in my local windows 7 operating system)

Well first of all, Oracle 8 is 15 years old, so im not surprised at all it doesnt work properly on a much newer OS.
%windir%/SYSWOW64/odbcad32.exe is for 32-bit drivers
%windir%/system32/odbcad32.exe is for 64-bit drivers and this is the one being executed when running from control panel
(logical, isnt it?...)
The registry keys containing information about these are:

Cannot start Oracle BI Scheduler service ---pls help.

I'm new in OBIEE.
I already installed and created some reports and dashboards in OBIEE. I found the problems that they are not updated data when new data loaded into DB.
I tried to start the Oracle BI Scheduler service but it has had the error like the message below;
"The description for Event ID ( 21 ) in Source ( Oracle BI Scheduler ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details.
The following information is part of the event: [68008] Scheduler Error: [nQSError: 67042] The Scheduler Configuration is incorrect.
[nQSError: 67004] Registry value for SchedulerScriptPath not set.."
Could anyone suggest me how would I be able to solve this error ?

Oracle BI Scheduler service

Hi,
To run my iBot i need to start the Oracle BI Scheduler service.
When i try to start it i get error..
In the NQScheduler.log..i am having following error....

I had the same error when I tried to start the scheduler after install. Then I read this chapter on how to configure the scheduler +"Oracle® Business Intelligence Infrastructure Installation and Configuration Guide Version 10.1.3.2.1 April 2007 - 10 Configuring Oracle Business Intelligence Scheduler"+. After I had completed the configuration the scheduler then started without the error. Did you do this bit?
In summary the steps were;
1) Create the scheduler schema S_NQ_ tables using SAJOBS.xxx.sql and SAACCNT.xxx.sql
2) Run schconfig to configure the scheduler(unix) with the database schema connection
3) Add Scheduler Administrator Credentials to Oracle BI Presentation Services Credential Store (cryptotools)
4) Configure Oracle BI Presentation Services to Identify the Credential Store (instanceconfig.xml)

Oracle BI Scheduler Service is stopping

I have installed OBIEE 10g ( vesion : 10.1.3.4.1 ) on Microsoft Windows server 2003.
I am facing issue with Oracle BI Scheduler service when particular ibot is running.
unable to find out root cause for this as error log is not getting crated.
Can anyone please guide me how to identify root cause for this.

BI scheduler error, 1064: An exception occurred in the service

I am getting an error below while trying to restart BI scheduler,
"could not start the oracle bi scheduler service on local computer, error 1064: An exception occurred in the service when handling the control request".
Obiee is running on windows 2003 server. Scheduler was working fine until env went down, when l tried to restart it, suddenly i get this error message. The other services restart fine. Answers, dboard work fine. Its only the scheduler.
I tried a couple suggested things on the Forum,
1) l tried to connect the scheduler user using sqlplus, i get an error, ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error. i cant connect. checked with the DB the user is not locked.
2) I checked the tnsnames.ora everything is fine.
3) I tried tns ping the user from cmd line i get an error TNS-03505: Failed to resolve the name.

I tried tns ping the user from cmd line i get an error TNS-03505: Failed to resolve the name.Is there any whitespaces in your DSN name or in tnsnames(.ora) file ? please check it once
Confirm this ,are you using same DB connection in Job manager and connection pool settings ??

OBI Scheduler Error on AiX

Hi,
we need to configure scheduler on AIX machine. We have installed Oracle 11g client on the same machine where we need to configure scheduler. we ran schconfig from respective folder and tried to start scheduler service then we got following error
[nQSError: 67004] Registry value for DSN not set.
[68008] Scheduler Error: [nQSError: 67042] The Scheduler Configuration is incorrect.

I was wondering whether it is needed to have oracle 10g client to be installed on AIX maching or we can configure the existing obiee installation with oracle 11g. If we can configure then please tell me step by steps to be followed.

Unable to start Oracle BI Scheduler

I am learning OBIEE and very much new to this tool. Now i am practicing delivers. I have run the SAJOBS.Oracle script and created S_NQ_JOB,S_NQ_ERR_MSG, S_NQ_INSTANCE,S_NQ_JOB_PARAM table in DB. And i configured the scheduler with appropriate values. Now if i run the Oracle BI Scheduler, it is giving me the following error
Could not start the Oracle BI Scheduler service on Local Computer.
Error 1064: An exception occured in the service when handling the control request.
Could you pleased provide me the solution. Thanks in advance.

Are you pulling data from SharePoint List using Power Query?
As of now SharePoint List is not not supported datasource for scheduled refresh on O365.
Only SQL Server is supported right now.

I am beginner in OSB 11g. Please excuse me if I am asking any dumb question.
I am trying to post messages to Oracle AQ by configuring JMS Destination in OSB Alert destination
I have configured AQ JMS in weblogic 10.3.3 ( OSB PS2) following the blog (http://jianmingli.com/wp/?p=2950)
When i invoked my proxy OSB proxy service i am getting following exception. Can you please help if i am missing any kind of setup while configuring the JMS Module.

Here is the actual exception while posting message into AQ ( AQ JMS) from OSB.
