Oracle configurator developer 11.5.10

Hi,
Can anyone share the link to download Oracle Configurator Developer Desktop installation for version 11.5.10?
Thanks in advance!
/Anupam

You would only need the desktop/client version of Configurator Developer to create and maintain 11.5.9-style DHTML UIs.
Beginning with 11.5.10, all model structure, rules, and UIs can be created using a web-based application. Just give yourself the "Oracle Configurator Administrator" responsibility, and you will be in the Configurator Developer application.
If you are working with 11.5.9 DHTML UIs, then you will need to use the client. The client is available as a download from the Oracle Support website. Use the following "Configurator Patch Matrix" note to find the correct patch to download:
https://support.oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=NOT&id=131088.1#22-Builds
Find out which version of runtime Oracle Configurator you are using by executing the following URL:
http://hostname:portnum/OA_HTML/configurator/UiServlet?test=version
This will return your current version of configurator. Go back to the metalink note and look for the "Build No" column. For example, if you are using Configurator runtime version 25-43, then you would want to download patch 7189809 to get build 25-40A of the VB Developer.
Thanks,
Jason

  • Timeout in Oracle Configurator Developer responsibility

The configurator html page timesout in 2 to 5 mins so in our production instance. The users had to logout and login.
Navigation: Oracle Configurator Developer-> Configurator developer. If we do not touch the screen for 5 minutes and then then click on something, we are getting time out due to idle session error and the user has to log back in again.
We are able to consistently see this behavior in production.
Any ideas how to solve this?

Please see if then following docs help.

  • Oracle configurator

    Hi all,
Can anyone of you guys can tell me what configurator is.
Is it a module or a tool?
Any documentation regarding this will help me a lot.
I have to find out what all oracle seeded objects or any other objects that have been modified or customized in oracle configurator and also in general how can we find out the objects that have been customized (client is having no documentation regarding the modifications made by the previous people).
    Thank you all,
    nagender

Following are some very brief explanation:
Models: a type of BOM(Bill of material) where options can be selected at the time of ordering (e.g. you can select 40 GB HDD or 80 GB HDD when you are buying a laptop).
Configuration: Final product after user has selected all the options in a model.
Oracle Configurator: You can call it a module in E-Business suite that supports this functionality of letting users create configurations from predefined Model BOMs at the time of order entry
Oracle Configurator Developer: This is a tool(Client tool till 11.5.9 and I think it is web based from 11.5.10 onwards) which helps you use Model BOMs as base and define rules, restrictions, validation etc. that should take place at the time of creating configurations(e.g. if you want windows vista as OS then you need to have more than 1GB of RAM)
(Please note that Oracle Configurator Developer have far more capabilities then what I have mentioned above).
    Hope this helps.

  • Configuring RAC-aware JDBC connection in Oracle SQL Developer?

How can Oracle SQL Developer be configured to properly connect to an [Oracle RAC|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oracle_RAC] environment, I.E., not just setup to always connect to one of the individual nodes?
[http://programmersjournal.blogspot.com/2008/08/jdbc-connection-string-for-oracle-rac.html] has an example of a classic and the equivalent RAC-aware version of a JDBC connection string. I've already been using a RAC connection string of the same format from within custom Java applications without issue. I thought the same should be configurable in Oracle SQL Developer by setting the "Connection Type" drop-down to "Advanced", then entering the RAC-aware JDBC connection string as the "Custom JDBC URL". However, upon testing the connection, the following error is displayed at the bottom of the dialog:
Status : Failure -Test failed: Io exception: NL Exception was generated
There is no additional information shown on the "Logging Page" view. Using Oracle SQL Developer 1.5.5.
    Thanks!

Thanks, Barry. Just F.Y.I., it is working for me now that I upgraded to the 2.1 EA as -K- suggested. I had marked his reply as "Correct", but probably should have left a response indicating my success as well.
Now, if there's anything you could do regarding the [issues around the display performance of CLOBs, etc., in the Query Result view|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=3906571] , it'd be very appreciated!

  • Getting error while configuring WAS 7 Fix Pack 37 with Oracle Application Development Framework (Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0)

    Hi,
I have installed Oracle Unified Directory 11.1.2.2.0 and WebSphere Application Server 7 with Fix Pack 37.
I am getting error while configuring WAS 7 Fix Pack 37 (7.0.0.37) with Oracle Application Development Framework (Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0). While adding products to cell (Oracle Directory Services Manager for WebSphere - 11.1.2.2.0), I am getting below error:
CFGFWK-64069: The following prerequisites were found to be missing: Oracle WebCenter Composer Extension - 11.1.1.0
Also attached the screenshot of the error.
    Please help.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
ODSM has the following dependencies apart from ADF (both components depend also on ADF):
    - UIShell (oracle.idm.uishell.war)
    - Webcenter Composer (oracle.webcenter.composer.war).
    Apparently the composer is missing.
Important points to check when using ODSM with WAS:
    - To install and configure Oracle Fusion Middleware with IBM WebSphere, you must first install (but not configure) IBM WebSphere
    - You must install the Oracle Application Development Framework as the same user who installed Oracle Unified Directory.
    - appdev must be installed under the same ORACLE_HOME as OUD

  • Oracle SQL developer configuration file

    Greetings experts,
I'm a newbie in a Java and Database world trying to understand configuration file in Oracle SQL developer. It uses command like AddVMOption. I'm guessing this is a Java language related command. Is this true? If yes, what does it do?

  • Oracle SQL Developer  error - "The file-based source procedure Name is not present in the database."

I recently started working on the Oracle SQL developer. I have 'select' privileges on the QA schema and when tried to execute proc in QA. It is giving the error as 'The file-based source <procedure Name>  is not present in the database.  Was it compiled?'
instead 'you do not have sufficient privileges to execute this procedure'. Did research on internet but with no luck. What configuration changes needed to be done to make it work.Guide me.

Sounds like you do not have the correct privileges.  What should have been granted to you by the QA user, or some other user with appropriate privileges, is...
    grant EXECUTE on "QA"."<PROCEDURE_OF_INTEREST>" to "<YOUR_USERID>" ;
Note that a grant of execute on a procedure has nothing to do with grants of select on some or all of QA's tables and views.
So, as Vadim suggests, from your connection node in SQL Developer's Connections view, if you expand the Other Users node, then expand QA and look in the Procedures node, do you see the procedure of interest?  If not, you cannot expect to be able to execute it from your userid's connection. And even if you do see it, you may have some other privilege that permits viewing but not executing, like...
    The role SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE
The system privilege SELECT ANY DICTIONARY
And even if you do not see it there, then having certain other privileges granted to you could permit executing it in general, like...
    The role EXECUTE_CATALOG_ROLE
The system privilege EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE
Also, note that the 3.0 release is a bit dated nowadays. Upgrading to 4.0.3 production or even the 4.1 EA2 (early adopter) release will, in general, give you a better experience.
    Best wishes,
    Gary

You have started this annoying discussion.
I don't have any problems with my OS instead of you.
I have already told you what to do, if you have no idea how to do that just go and buy yourself another support subscription from your mac support.
The missing class is not available from any code-source or loader in the system. check that.
what version of JAVA do you have in your fancy OS? most of the time upgrade java to the latest version will fix the issues.
Update java from sun website not from another mac tore.

  • Using DEBUG Mode in Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler to Log SQL

    Hello,
I am looking for the possibilty to enable the logging of SQL in Data Modeler.
Jeff Smith wrote an article how to do this for SQL Developer, for Data Modeler there are other configuration files. Does anyone have an idea?
    Best regards,
    Joop

    Hello Philip,
the URL to the article of Jeff is: http://www.thatjeffsmith.com/archive/2012/10/using-debug-mode-in-oracle-sql-developer-to-log-sql/
in the install directory of Data Modeler 3.3.0.734 exists a file datamodeler\datamodeler\bin\datamodeler.conf. This analogue the situation for sql Developer.
However in this file there is no reference to a (non)debug file.
In ide/bin directory there is a ide-logging-debug.conf and ide-logging.conf file. But they are not referenced. Should one of them be included?

  • SSL in Oracle SQL Developer?

PCI DSS (related to protection of credit card data) requires that I have to implement a 2-factor authentication. The 2 factor authentication that I am going to implement is password protection and token encryption like SSL (secure sockets layer).
When I am trying to access my remote DB using SQL Developer, I will use a password to get connected. In addition to that, I will try to use something like HTTPS which supports SSL. Is there an inbuilt-mechanism for Oracle SQL Developer to support SSL or do we have to configure it manually or is there some other mechanism in place?

    Thats odd.
Do you see any exceptions in console ? (to see the console launch sqldeveloper.exe in ../sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper/bin dir.)
