Oracle forms upload crash

Hi, I downloaded the VM "Database App Development VM" from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/community/developer-vm/index.html and executed, on this installation, upgrade to APEX 4.2.4.00 .08 through patches.
My problem is that converting an oracle forms with the appropriate utility and making the upload in the "migrations", the server returns an error "500 Internal Server Error". The xml file is correct because this is possible to reconstruct a forms (. Fmb) working and I've tried with various forms of varying size and complexity experiencing the same error. I realized that the problem also occurs on the system of "test / demo" http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex. For the test, I followed the directions to the letter of guidance conversion forms to apex.
Someone can 'help me or found the same error?
Thank you and greetings

We have tried also with a simply form, generated ad hoc, with one block....the server also crash with error 500

Thank you for your reply.
No unfortunately connecting didn't help =(
I think it's probably something to do with reading the form width/height so it can create the working area, but it fails there. The actual canvas has bigger height than my working area. Therefore I can't scroll down to see the end of my canvas. The crash happens when I click anywhere inside the working area or canvas or when i use wheel down on my mouse to scroll down.

  • DB Trigger firing issue in case of oracle forms session crash

    Hi All,
    Oracle DB version: Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.2.0 - Production
    Oracle Forms version: (Oracle Developer Suite 10g) 10.1.2.0.2 Production
    I am entering some data in the oracle forms and committed the data to database. This form is still open.
    By some reasons i get a error as "FRM-92101: There is error during forms server startup" and the forms session gets crashed.
    When this event happens i wanted to update the records which are inserted before this error occurred. For this purpose i created a BEFORE LOGOFF ON DATABASE trigger (in SYS user) and declared that transaction as autonomous and performed update and then commit.
    But when i get this error in forms runtime session, this trigger doesn't fire and also the records don't get updated.
    If i query to v$session view, the session entry is gone because the forms session is crashed.
    Can anyone please tell me why this trigger don't get fire when oracle forms session gets crashed? Or is there is any other way to run update statement as soon as the forms session gets crashes?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    please check java runtime console for more issue information.
    Windows:
    SystemControl->Java Plugin Ver XXXX -> Standard -> Check "Show Java Console"
    In Systray, check the console for information about errors in java after the form error.

  • Oracle forms session crashes.

    Hi All,
    Oracle DB version : Oracle9i Release 9.2.0.0.6
    Oracle Forms version: Oracle Forms 9.0.4.19
    In a particular test case the oracle forms session gets crashed, this doesn't happens all the times (I guess it gives some FRM-92101 error).
    When we connect to oracle database through the oracle forms then a new session gets started and once we exits the application then session gets ended (here oracle database connection ends).
    So i just wanted to know like is there any database trigger or any other event which is fired when the particular forms session gets crashed so that we can track the session id?
    Thanks.

    Whenever there is a FRM-92101 error there will be a trace file available on your application server. You could look in this trace file to see why the Form has crashed.
    I think you want to know how to determine the session id, so you can close your database session. When your form crashes and there is still database session available then most of the time there is also still a session at your application server available. Your client session i.e. in internet explorer) has been terminated.
    The session at the application server will automatically close after a certain period of time, cause the application server doesn't get a answer from the client anymore. This also terminates the session in the database server.
    I don't know what type of application server you have (windows. linux). But I mostly try to discoverer which is the user session then close that session so the database session is also closed.

  • Oracle Forms Session Tracking mechanism

    Hi,
    In this doc http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/pdf/10g/troubleshooting_fls.pdf we can read the following:
    The JsessionID, which uniquely identifies a Forms session. The Forms Listener Servlet uses two session tracking mechanisms:
    - Cookies, where the Servlet container sends a cookie to the client.
    The client returns the cookie to the server upon each HTTP
    request, thereby associating the session with the cookie.
    - URL rewriting, where the Servlet container appends a session ID
    to the URL path, for example:
    http://host[:port]/forms90/l90servlet;jsessionid=a23445bcde89
    Does this means that forms uses one of those, or uses both mechanisms simultaneous?
    anyone?

  • Forms 10g crashes while opening an oversize Oracle seeded form

    Hi,
    I am trying to open Oracle R12 seeded form 'PAXPREPR' using forms 10g. I connect to the database before opening the file. The size of the file is 11.8MB.
    But when i open this file, oracle forms crashes without any error message.
    I checked the 11i version of same form, that is of size 6.07 MB, and that opens fine with forms 10g.
    Is it a way i can reduce the size of file, or open it with some way. I just want to have look into some code in the form, and find out any changes done from 11i to R12.
    My form builder version is Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2

    I have had the same problem before and sorted it. Please Check the Following:
    1. All the number fields are defined as number in the form. Same with date fields and characters.
    2. No field is trucated. I.e. The text in the table is not more that the capacity that the field can hold.
    3. If the Record crashing is a parent of another record, make sure that the link is properly defined.
    Hope it helps.

    Hi ,
    I am having issues with OpenScript tool where it is crashing/closing when I am trying to record some actions on Oracle Forms.It seems like a memory issue but I am not sure how to rectify it or investigate what is the cause.Are there any temp files which needs to be cleared ?Are there any logs which I can check to see what the issue is?I am using a Windows-7 machine and running OATS 9.3.

    Hello Megha
    You can try the following:
    Go to your shortcut to OpenScript in your Programs menu, and right click on it. Select Properties.
    You will see Popup OpenScript Properties. Ther is Shortcut tab located text box Target. Copy the content of this text box in some notepad file, as a back up, and increase Xmx to 1024 for example
    C:\OracleATS\openScript\OpenScript.exe -configuration openscript_configuration -vm C:\OracleATS\openScript\jre\bin\java.exe -vmargs -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m
    You can try different values.

  • Forms crashing while executing Oracle Forms Functional script in OTM

    Hello,
    We're trying to execute Oracle Ebiz forms related functional test scripts developed in Open Script in Oracle Test Manager.
    Exactly when the forms get launched, the JRE is getting crashed, and the script is failing. What could be the reason.
    I've added the class path in Java control panel for the JRE which comes with OATS, and enabled 1.6.33 version, which works absolutely fine when same script is run using OpenScript and not through OTM.
    Also, in windows services we have provided the valid admin login credentials to the run the service as, instead of local machine user.
    Any help and insight on this problem would be of great help.

    Yes as mentioned i have used run time setting "-formsft.startup_timeout 30".
    Per release notes, i am starting the agent service using the command line "C:\OracleATS\agentmanager\bin\AgentManagerService.exe -c
    C:\OracleATS\agentmanager\bin\AgentManagerService.conf".
    But what's happening is, OTM is not actually waiting for the applet to load. The moment the forms are invoked and about to load after signing in and selecting the responsibility and menu, the script and forms are crashing. OTM is giving the below error though its not waiting to connect to the forms.
    Failure when running child script GL_JournalEntry_Batch. Caused by: Failed to connect to the Oracle Forms applet after 30 seconds. Verify that the applet launching page opens, and that the Forms Startup Timeout setting is high enough for this site

  • Oracle Forms crashes opening Canvas

    Hi
    I have a 10.1.0.2 database installed and Oracle BPEL 10.1.2.0.2 installed. I recently installed Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2. I open Forms Builder, add a canvas to a new form, double click the canvas and Form Builder crashes. This happens everytime I do this. Has somebody experienced the same problem?
    Regards,
    Néstor Boscán

    It happened to me also some days back. If I press short-cut key to show the canvas, it will work fine. If you double click that, form will close.
    If there are many applications opened, this problem is occuring...[for us, this was the problem.After closing other applications, form works fine]

    Hi
    I have a problem with java and Jinitiator and my understanding of what is / should be happening.
    In the file forms/server/formsweb.cfg see below. I can alter the parameter
    baseHTMLjinitiator=basejini.htm
    ###baseHTMLjinitiator=basejpi.htm
    between the two alternatives. As it stands as shown the IE8 on the middle tier and on the database PC both work as near correctly as i can tell. On the Win 7 client IE 8 however crashes. switch it to the other way around and the
    win 7 works and the win xp on the database server stops with frm-92095 error version number too low. while on the middle tier Xp PC a blank doucument is displayed.
    How can i have both working at the same time please. I you need more information i will happily supply it.

    You have a mixture of problems here.
    1. Oracle Jinitiator is not supported for use on Windows 7
    2. JRE 1.7 is not supported for use with any version of Forms on any platform. Be sure you do not have this version installed.
    3. JRE 1.6 is not supported for use with Forms 10.1.2.0.2, however is supported with 10.1.2.3 (10.1.2.0.2 + patch ID 5983622) and only with IE 8
    4. In order to use Win 7 with Forms 10 in a certified and supported manner, you must use 10.1.2.3 (meaning 10.1.2.0.2 + patch ID 5983622).
    In short, my recommendation would be the following:
    o Patch to 10.1.2.3 (assuming you have access to MyOracleSupport)
    o Don't bother trying to use Oracle Jinitiator as it is old and has been desupported for a long time.
    o Uninstall any instances of Jinitiator as it can cause conflicts with other JRE installations.
    o Uninstall all instances of JRE 1.7. Reconfig your formsweb.cfg to use the JRE (Java Plugin) 1.6.0

    Previously i have used DDE for uploading the data from excel to DB in oracle forms 10g.now it is throwing non-oracle exception at DDE.intiate.
    could you please help me to solve this issue.
    i use the below code
    APPLICATION := OLE2.CREATE_OBJ('EXCEL.APPLICATION');
         ole2.set_property(application,'Visible','false');
         WORKBOOKS := OLE2.GET_OBJ_PROPERTY(APPLICATION,'WORKBOOKS');
         ARGS := OLE2.CREATE_ARGLIST;
         OLE2.ADD_ARG(ARGS,:PARAMETER.P_SERVER_FILE_NAME);
         WORKBOOK := OLE2.GET_OBJ_PROPERTY(WORKBOOKS,'OPEN',ARGS);
         OLE2.DESTROY_ARGLIST(ARGS);
         WORKSHEETS := OLE2.GET_OBJ_PROPERTY(WORKBOOK,'WORKSHEETS');
         WORKSHEET := OLE2.GET_OBJ_PROPERTY(APPLICATION,'ACTIVESHEET');
         M_CONVID := DDE.INITIATE('EXCEL',:PARAMETER.P_SERVER_FILE_NAME);

    Hello,
    Do not use DDE.intiate.Comment that line.As per your code the file is already open.
    Here is a good example in this metalink note:
