Oracle HA Setup - how to define resource dependency !

- I have one resource group :
oracle-rg- I created three resource in this resource group:
oracle-ha-rs ( type SUNW.HAStoragePlus)
oracle-listener-1 ( type SUNW.oracle_listener )
oracle-server-1 ( type SUNW.oracle_server )Now how do I define dependency between the resources? or a specific sequest when switching?
I am asking this because everything are working okay(except shutdown). When I switch, Oracle comes up on failover Node and vice-versa.
But during switch the oracle-ha-rs resource goes offline first, and then the resource oracle-server-1 and oracle-listener-1
Since the filesystem is unmounted FIRST it crash the oracle instance(oracle shutdown cmds are fired .
Question: I want to sequence it as follows during switching how do I do this?
Current Node:
- oracle-server-1 : Stop Oracle server
- oracle-listener-1 : stop listener
- oracle-ha-rs : Unmount filesystem
Failover Node:
- oracle-ha-rs : Mount filesystem
- oracle-server-1 : Start Oracle server
- oracle-listener-1 : Start listener

  • How to define Price depend on Country Location in iStore Pages

    Hi to ALL.
    This is Shan , am new to Advance Price . actually am working in CRM module in iStore. by the by my query is , i need to dispaly the price for products depend upon the country location for same customer .
    For Example . Customer name is GMI and there is two user available for the customer named as " X " and " Y ". the user X in Singapore and user Y in Korea . but the both user is under the same customer name . while the both user seeing the same iStore Catalog page in internet and same product, i need to dispaly the price of product depend upon their country location .
    For item Name Standard laptop , it should display the price in Singapore country with related to singapore dollar 256$ and singapore tax deduction and for Korean user if he open the same page in Korea the price should dispaly depend the korea currency and tax deduction of 456 won.
    It's very urgent requirement, pl revert me back ASAP ..
    By
    Shan

    Either you can setup different price list based on the country or you can define modifiers for different country locations. So based on modifiers, the discount will be changed so that selling price will be changed. If you want list price to be shown different then you need to define different price lists for different country. based on the detailed requirement, you can choose either new price list or new modifiers

  • Oracle VM 3.1.1 - How to define the YUM repository URL

    The documentation shows an example or two about how to define the URL of the Yum repository I created, but it doesn't seem to define EXACTLY what to do. For example, the URL to the directory with my RPMs in it is:
    http://my-yum.acbl.net/yum/OracleVM/OVM3/3.1.1/patch/x86_64/getPackage
    Can someone tell me how much of that path I should enter into the "YUM Base URL" sub-tab under the "Tools and Resources" tab in the VM Manager? I have tried to make an intelligent guess (or two), but it's not updating properly, and I don't know if I'm entering the URL properly.

    Thank you. I'll try that, and update this again, if it seems to be wrong.
    I actually opened an SR on this, and asked this same question. After several hours, I got a response, something like "What part of the documentation do you find unclear?". I tried to carefully explain that the docs don't (as best I can tell) define how much of the path should be in the URL given to Oracle VM. I still haven't heard back.

  • How to define tablespaces in Oracle 10g and how put tables on tablespaces

    Hello,
    I'm having trouble to define the structure of tablespaces and how to distribute the tables/indexes/lobs on these tablespaces.
    Do you know some rules on how to define this?
    What I have until now:
    1) Put table indexes in separate tablespace
    2) Put lobs in separate tablespace and use storage clause when defining the lob column. Not sure how many tablespaces to use, I have tables with millions of lobs and tables with just one lob (with row containing the lob).
    3) Please fill more rules here ...
    Thank you, Alex.

    Long story: I received database and schema creation scripts defined in Oracle 9i. I want to redesign the tablespaces number/storage and also to change the distribution of tables into tablespaces.
    As an example I will show how tablespaces are created now. There is one tablespace for indexes BLUE_AUTO_INDX and one for each EXTENT MANAGEMENT of:
    - 64K for BLOB , name BLUE_K064_BLOB
    - 64K for tables , name K064_NTAB
    - 128K for tables, name BLUE_K128_NTAB
    - 512K for CLOB , name BLUE_K512_CLOB
    - 4M for BLOB , name BLUE_M004_BLOB
    - 64M for CLOB , name BLUE_M064_CLOB
    - 8M for tables , name BLUE_M008_NTAB
    - 1M for tables , name BLUE_M001_NTAB
    - 256M for tables, name BLUE_M256_NTAB
    Definition of each tablespace is like:
    CREATE TABLESPACE BLUE_AUTO_INDX DATAFILE 'BLUE_AUTO_INDX01.DBF' SIZE 200M REUSE AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 100M MAXSIZE UNLIMITED LOGGING ONLINE PERMANENT EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL UNIFORM SIZE 64M SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;

    CREATE TABLESPACE BLUE_K064_NTAB DATAFILE 'BLUE_K064_NTAB01.DBF' SIZE 20M REUSE AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 20M MAXSIZE UNLIMITED LOGGING ONLINE PERMANENT EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL UNIFORM SIZE 64K SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;

    Does this structure of tablespaces ok? I mean if the logic of one tablespace for different EXTENT SIZEs looks ok?

  • How to define data-sources-alias.xml to use Oracle data source

    Hi,
    I created Oracle jdbc Data Source named "MYDS" in Visual Admin.  I added the alias = MYDS_ALIAS.  I set the Initial Connection to 2.  On the Monitor tab, I see a green line running across the screen.  The datasource MYDS is connected to the Oracle.
    Now, I would like to define "data-sources-alias.xml" to use MYDS.
    When creating data-source-aliases.xml it creates the alias by default on ${com.sap.datasource.default} which is the default DB.
    I followed the link --> How to point data-source-aliases.xml to another Datasource
    and my data-sources-alias.xml is now:
    <data-source-aliases>
         <aliases>
              <data-source-name>$</data-source-name>
              <alias>BRANCH50DS</alias>
         </aliases>
    </data-source-aliases>
    The "EAR generatation has finished successfully", but when "Deploy to J2EE Engine", I got the error below:
    1) How to define data-sources-alias.xml to use Oracle data source?
    2) I found the link (SDA Deployment error) talking about "sda-dd.xml".  How to create "sda-dd.xml" and make it use substitution variables "MYDS"

  • How to define mapping from multiple files to Oracle Tables in 9i

    Around 100-200 Flat files are created every 30 minutes and each filename is different - Filename has datetime Stamp as part of the file name apart from the product code as first 12 characters.
    Can anyone guide me in How to define mappings to these files using OWB ?
    What I can do is consolidate all files into one known single file name and map the files to Oracle tables which I don't want to do because I need to reject errorneous files.
    Can anyone provide me some tips on this ?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Sohan.

    As you know, in OWB you need to define the flat file source in a 'static' way (name, location, etc. have to be defined previously), so you cannot deal directly with dinamically generated file names. One solution would be to consolidate them into a single file (which you can define statically in OWB), but prefix every record with the filename. In this way it is easy to understand from which file the rejected records came from. If you are using unix, it is very easy to write a script to do this. Something like this will do:
    awk '{printf "%s,%s\n",FILENAME,$1}' yourfilename >> onefile
    where yourfile is the name of the file you are currently processing, while onefile is the name of the consolidated file. You can run this for all files in your directory by substituting yourfilename with * .
    You can then disregard the file name field in OWB, while processing the rejected records based on the file name prefix by using unix utilities like grep and similar.

    Can anyone define
    what is the difference between usage and assigned units in oracle r12 eam defining resource operation

    You're wrong - you may not think it changes the line, but it does by virtue of the fact it's pointing to half the value it was before. Good luck - I'll pass on trying to help you. I'm sure it's an easy fix.

    how to define dependancy between sowtware comps in the SLD,
    i have a software comp, in the IR, where i import all RFCs and IDOCs, so that they can be used across all software comps in the IR,
    since, IDOCs imported in one software comp, cant be used in another s/w comp,
    i need to create that dependancy..............................
    how can i mention the dependancy in the SLD....

    Hi,
    Please read the Rules OF Engagement,
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/home/rulesofEngagement&
    <i>
    Do not use words in capital letters and any of the words: urgent, quickly, burning, etc in your message. Especially not in the title! This just irritates and does not help you get to your goal. From our side, we definitely do not answer faster when we see these words.
    The same goes for such things as ??? or !!! in appends. In the English language one ? or ! is sufficient to terminate a sentence. </i>
    Answering you question, Say you have 2 SWCV's. SWCV A and B. All objects imported in SWCV A should be visible in B. In this case, go to SWCV B and in this, Go to the Dependency Tab , and Select SWCV A here as the dependent Component.
    In your IR, Clear SLD Cache and Reimport the 2  SWCV's into the IR and now you will see the Basis Objects in SWCV B. All the existing objects will not be affected as a result of this reimport into IR.

    And so I want to setup the JMX policy to give the rights to my client. But in the JMX Editor the ALSBConfigurationMBean doesn't exist, and I don't know which bean I have to set up.
    Anyone do know where I can find how to define policy for the Operation "getRefs" of the "ALSBConfigurationMBean" ?
    thanks and regards

    OEG provides several filters for encryption (XML, S/MIME and PGP). It's also possible to accept client certificates via 2-way SSL or route to a destination over 2-way SSL. For further information check out the OEG docs.

    Hi Jigar,
    when you have selected a project and a subproject your first screen
    will be the personal menu of the LSMW. You will find here a step-by-step-wizard
    which you have to execute in sequence. If a step is executed the cursor is automatically positioned on the next step.
    Choose 'Maintain field mapping and conversion rules'.
    If the mapping is displayed set the cursor on the field you want to edit.
    Press the button 'Rule' on the button bar above the mapping.
    You will get a Popup where you can select 'User-defined routine (reusable)' (that is the last radio button).
    Regards,
    Ralf

  • Define resource for Anonymous user in OES

    Hi all,,
    I am using wls-ssm.
    By default, OES protect all resources from our application.
    how to define some resources for anonymous user?
    With Regards,
    WP

    You can either define an OES policy to GRANT allusers group which includes anonymous or you can look at deploying this custom authenticator which will exclude WLS resources that typically rely on anonymous user:

  • Oracle Linux NTFS how-to

    h1. Oracle Linux NTFS how-to
    Author: Dude
    Version: B, 22-Jan-2012
    h2. Purpose
    This document contains instructions how to install NTFS support under Oracle Enterprise Linux version 4, 5 and Oracle Linux version 5 and 6.
    h2. Topics
    1) Determine Kernel Architecture and Distribution
    2) Setup Software Repositories
    3) Install the NTFS Kernel Driver and Software
    4) Find and Mount a NTFS Device
    5) Notes
    h3. 1) Determine Kernel Architecture and Distribution
    Open a Terminal command prompt and enter the following to check if your system is x86 or x86_64:
    # uname -m
    x86_64If you see "i686" or "i386" instead then your system is x86.
    # cat /etc/redhat-release
    Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 9)The above example shows you are running Enterprise Linux version 4.9
    h3. 2) Setup Software Repositories
    You will need to setup access to two software repositories.
    Oracle ULN or public yum:
    The installation of RPM software packages can be complex due to software conflicts or package dependencies. It is easier to use a software manager like "yum", which will automatically resolve package dependencies and prompt you to download required software if necessary.
    For those who do not have a support subscription and access to Oracle ULN, Oracle provides a public YUM software repository to give you free online access to the standard software distributions. Simply follow the instructions outlined at http://public-yum.oracle.com. You only need to enable the software repository that matches your version according to the previous step.
    Reproforge:
    The NTFS driver is provided by the Repoforge alias RPMforge software repository. For more information about Repoforge, please see http://repoforge.org/faq. NTFS-3G is a stable, full-featured, read-write NTFS driver for Linux and other operating systems. For more information check http://www.tuxera.com/community/ntfs-3g-download, where you can also download the source code should you prefer to compile your own NTFS driver.
    Depending on your current distribution and kernel architecture, you need to install the following:
    Oracle Enterprise Linux 4.x x86:
    # wget http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el4.rf.i386.rpm
    # rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el4.rf.i386.rpm
    Oracle Enterprise Linux 4.x x86_64:
    # wget http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el4.rf.x86_64.rpm
    # rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el4.rf.x86_64.rpm
    Oracle Enterprise Linux / Oracle Linux 5.x x86:
    # wget http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el5.rf.i386.rpm
    # rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el5.rf.i386.rpm
    Oracle Enterprise Linux / Oracle Linux 5.x x86_64:
    # wget http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm
    # rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm
    Oracle Linux 6.x x86:
    # wget http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.i686.rpm
    # rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.i686.rpm
    Oracle Linux 6.x x86_64:
    # wget http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm
    # rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpmh3. 3) Install the NTFS Kernel Driver and Related Software
    The software packages required to support NTFS depends on your current Linux distribution:
    Oracle Enterprise Linux 4.x:
    # yum install dkms dkms-fuse fuse fuse-ntfs-3g
    Oracle Enterprise Linux / Oracle Linux 5.0 - 5.2:
    # yum install dkms dkms-fuse fuse fuse-ntfs-3g
    Oracle Enterprise Linux / Oracle Linux 5.3:
    NTFS support under Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.3 is broken and you should consider to upgrade to the 5.4 or later. (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=481495)
    Oracle Enterprise Linux / Oracle Linux 5.4 - 5.x:
    As of Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.4 the the kernel fuse module (dkms, dkms-fuse) is included in the kernel and should not be installed.
    # yum install fuse fuse-ntfs-3g
    Oracle Enterprise Linux / Oracle Linux 6.x:
    # yum install fuse fuse-ntfs-3g h3. 4) Find and Mount a NTFS Device
    You can use the "blkid" command to identify attached devices. For instance:
    sudo blkid
    /dev/sda1: LABEL="/boot" UUID="73efxxxxxxxxxxxxx_TYPE="ext3" TYPE="ext2"
    /dev/dm-0: UUID="22a2d704-f75dxxxxxxx595df" SEC_TYPE="ext3" TYPE="ext2"
    /dev/dm-1: TYPE="swap" UUID="3b74fxxxxxx411c-8671-2244b8735866"
    /dev/sdb1: TYPE="ntfs"
    {code}
    In the above example, device "/dev/sdb1" contains a NTFS partition.
    To mount the NTFS volume according to above example under the /mnt directory:
    {code}
    sudo mount.ntfs /dev/sdb1 /mnt
    {code}

    Norbert
    The schema location used to register the XML schema with XML DB does not need to be a valid URL for accessing the XML Schema
    I can use the same URL , for instance
    http://xmlns.example.scom/xsd/myXMLSchema.xsd
    on machines dbserver1, and dbserver2. The only reason some people choose to use the hostname / portnumber convention is that this makes it possible to validate the XML Instance documents against the copy of the XML schema stored in the XML DB repository using an external tool like XMLSpy without have to add entries to XMLSpy's OASIS catalog files.
    I am concerned about the message you are getting. That's not correct AFAICT but I'd need to see the complete XML Schema and Instance to be sure.
