Oracle OLEDB driver can't execute stored procedure in Oracle 8

Hello, I have a problem when execute a Delphi program, occurs the next error:
'ORA-06574: Function LEOCLAVEROL references package state, cannot execute remotely'
LEOCLAVEROL is a function PL/SQL, with a process included in it compiled in Borland C, the function is called from a SELECT (ADOQuery) in a Delphi program.
Scenario
User:
Windows XP
Oracle Client 8i Ver 8.1.7.0
Driver= OraOLEDB.Oracle.1
Provider=MDAC ADO Ver 2.7
Server:
Oracle8 Release 8.0.5.2.1 runing Windows NT 4 Service Pack 6
(The process is OK with Oracle 8i !!!!)

hello experts,
Problem: I can not execute stored procedures stored in Oracle data base. Error Message: Portal request failed. Could not execute stored procedure.
My steps:
i connected my locally installed Oracle data base to the VC. I mapped the data base user to my VC user. I tested connection and it is fine. Further I see the db alias in Visual Composer and i can drop stored procedures to my story board. I can define parameters, but when I am executing procedures I get the error message.
Further I installed MS SQL Server lokally and connected to the VC and it is working fine. I can do everything.
Why it is not working for Oracle DB?
DriverName: com.sap.portals.jdbc.oracle.OracleDriver
Connect-URL: jdbc:sap:oracle://ip:port;sid=XE
Any comment is highly appreciated.

How can I execute Stored Procedures in PARALLEL and DYNAMICALLY ?

I have a stored procedure. It can be executed like this
exec test @p = 1;
exec test @p = 2
exec test @p = n;
n can be hundred.
I want the sp being executed in parallel, not sequence. It means the 3 examples above can be run at the same time.
If I know the number in advance, say 3, I can create 3 different Execution SQL Tasks. They can be run in parallel.
However, the n is not static. It is coming from a table.
How can I execute Stored Procedures in PARALLEL and DYNAMICALLY ?
I think about using script task. In the script, I get the value of n, and the list of p, from the table, then running a loop with. In the loop, I create a threat and in the threat, I execute the sp like : exec test @p = p. So the exec test may
be run parallel. But I am not sure if it works.
Any idea is really appreciated.

According to your description, you want to call stored procedures in parallel, right?
In SSIS, we can create separate jobs with different stored procedures, then set the same schedule to kick the jobs off at the same time. In this way, we should be careful to monitor blocking and deadlocking depending on what the jobs are doing.
We can also put all stored procedures in SSIS Sequence container, then they will be run in parallel.

Crystal Reports can't add stored procedure using Oracle Provider for OLE DB

Hello,
I am trying to bind an oracle stored procedure to a crystal report through Visual Studio 2008.
This oracle stored procedure returns a ref cursor.
I am using an oracle 11g database (11.2.0.2.0) .
When I use the Oracle Provider For OLE DB driver to bind the store procedure with the report, I get the following error message:
Description : ORA -06550 Line 1 Column 7
PLS 00306 wrong number of types or arguments to the "Strored Procedure Name"
But When I use the Microsoft OLE DB provider for oracle driver, I can bind the stored procedure to the report successfully .
I cannot use the Microsoft OLE DB provider for oracle driver because it does not support the CLOB data type which I plan on having the stored procedure return once I can get everything working.
I have tried setting PLSQLRSET = 1 IN "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KEY_OraDb11g_home1\OLEDB", but that does not seem to work either
Any assistance would be greatly Appreciated
My Stored procedure is very simple as the moment (I just need to get it working then I'll add more stuff). Here's what it looks like:

Oracle OLEDB driver can't postion at the very first record if ....

Hi, all:
It seems that I found a serious bug with OLEDB provider 8.1.7.3.
For the following two queries, the provider works properly.
select * from emp
select * from emp, account
However, the provider can't reposition to the very first record after navigating some records with the following query.
select * from emp, account, dept
Notify that MS Oracle provider still works correctly.

It's the K7T Pro. Same as the post listed above.
According to my friend he's had it for more than 3 years so the warrantee is gone and I dont' see anything MSI can do.

Can we execute stored procedures from stellent 7.5.2 ?
By using java, I dont find any method to execute stored procedure from WorkSpace interface.

For java based execution basically:
1. Create your stored proc in the db
2. Create a component
3. Create a query resource
4. In your java code use the createResultSet method of the Workspace object and pass in the name of your query resource and then the current databinder object

I am going to create a simple package. It has OLEDB source , a Derived transformation and a OLEDB Target database.
Now, for the OLEDB Source, I have a stored procedure with CTE and there are many temp tables inside it. When I give like EXEC <Procedure name> then I am getting the error like ''The metadata could not be determined because statement with CTE.......uses
temp table.
Please help me how to resolve this ?

you write to the temp tables that get created at the time the procedure runs I guess
Instead do it a staged approach, run Execute SQL to populate them, then pull the data using the source.
You must set retainsameconnection to TRUE to be able to use the temp tables

I'm invoking a stored procedure from Oracle Database. The procedure is running Ok in oracle, but when i run the procedure from .NET, failed. The code when stop is :

Stored procedure is working properly on sql*plus(Oracle 8.1.5)) editor. But it is not working from a standalone java application. Can anyone please give me a solution.

The first solution is to not do that in java in the first place.
DDL should be in script files which are applied to oracle outside of java.
Other than I believe there are some existing stored procedures in Oracle that take DDL strings and process them. Your user has to have permission of course. You can track them down via the documentation.

Can not see Stored Procedures owned by "Code Owner"

I am using Data Source defined with "CR Oracle ODBC Driver 5.0" in "Data Source (ODBC)".
But in Crystal Report XI, I can not see CodeOwner when I can created a new connection using ODBC (RDO).
I can see CodeOwner and all SP defined under it when I use "Oracle Server" directly or use sqlplus.

I'm using Window XP with Oracle 10g2R
To be more clear,
I have an ODBC Data Source defined as "DEV" and when I created a connection using ODBC, I can only see some database account section like: APP, APPREF, PUBLIC, SYS, SUSTEM. But I can not see CodeOwner.
If I connected without using ODBC, I can also see CODEOWNER and then all its stored procedures.
So why I can not see Stored Procedures defined under CODEOWNER using ODBC?
I have an exsiting report, even I can not see CODEOWNER, but I have no problem to run and preview the report also to "verify database".

In the Oracle Forms, I have a datablock based on the above stored procedure. When I execute the form and from the menu if I click on Execute Query the data block gets filled up with data (The datablock is configured to display 10 items as a tabular form).
At this point in time, I want to automate the process of displaying the data, hence I created a button and from there I want to call this stored procedure. So, in the button trigger I have the following statements

Is this type of processing not possible using Global Temporary Tables?
Oracle8i PL/SQL did not parse analytic functions correctly so you would have to make that SELECT a view and then SELECT from that view in PL/SQL.
I tried also with:When you wrap the SELECT in EXECUTE IMMEDIATE you have to properly use the single quotes. The single quote that appears at this line:
where a.COD_RITMI not in ('04'))is assumed by the compiler as the end of the string started by EXECUTE IMMEDIATE. That is not what you want.
Please post some more details about the type of procesing that this code is suppose to accomplish so we can suggest alternatives to get it done better.

Calling SQL Stored Procedure using Oracle Gateway

Don't know which gateway you are using. Only the transparent gateway for SQL Server and Sybase that have support for stored procedures.

How to call a sql server stored procedure from oracle

Hi all,
Please anybody tell me how to call a sql server stored procedure from oracle.
I've made an hsodbc connection and i can do insert, update, fetch data in sql server from oracle. But calling SP gives error. when I tried an SP at oracle that has line like
"dbo"."CreateReceipt"@hsa
where CreateReceipt is the SP of sql server and hsa is the DSN, it gives the error that "dbo"."CreateReceipt" should be declared.
my database version is 10g
Please help me how can i call it... I need to pass some parameters too to the SP

when i call the sp using DBMS_HS_PASSTHROUGH, without parameters it works successfully, but with parameters it gives the following error

Could not execute stored procedure

hello,
I have a stored procedure in oracle and I want to call it from a java bean. The stored procedure works when I did an "EXEC change_info()" call.
However, when I tried it in the Java Bean using:
CallableStatement stmt = conn1.prepareCall("{call change_info(?,?,?,?,?)}");
or
CallableStatement stmt = conn1.prepareCall("BEGIN change_info(?,?,?,?,?); END;");
stmt.execute();
The stored procedure doesn't work any more, i.e., it doesn't change the information. There are no errors or warnings indicating that there was any problems with the stored procedure.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do to make the stored procedure work?
