Oracle Receivables - Invoice Interface from Legacy

Hi,
I am trying to write an interface from Legacy to Oracle
Receivables (rel. 11.5.4). I am not sure about the fields to be
populated in RA_INTERFACE_LINES_ALL as well as
RA_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL (besides the not null fields).
Can anyone help. My e-mail id is [email protected]
Thanks.
Anil

Hi Ivruksha,
Thanks for your replay...
We have this requirement in our current Project
Example: Our client provide service on Contract base when our client create invoice for $10000 customer will pay only 70% of bill amount only as per the Contract terms after completing the entire contract based on the quality of service customer will release 30% amount, so my client want to tract 30% amount from each Customer Invoice Creation so that he can understand how much amount is retained with his customer.
Please help me regarding this..

Bharath

  • AR Invoices directly from Legacy Sources

We have legacy sources provide the billing information. The data provided by legacy is pretty complete and we can create the AR invoices with the data provided. Is it a good idea to create customer invoices directly in AR instead of processing the data through Order Management.
Is there a white paper which suggests this? Does anyone have any idea about this?

    Hi,
In order to do so, you can use AR open interface tables:
ra_interface_lines_all: record invoice lines, freight and tax information
    ra_interface_salescredits_all: sales credit information
ra_interface_distributions_all: record accounting information, if you do not want use receivables autoaccounting.
You must set up imported batch sources, grouping rules and new interface transaction flexfield contexts. The first one, besides giving your transaction numbering, will define if you are going to send ids or descriptions in interface fields. The second one defines if lines are going to be grouped into one invoice or going to be divided in two or more invoices. The transaction flexfield context is commonly used to link receivables transactions to your legacy system.
You may want read metalink note 220251.1, it is very useful.

  • This is regarding interface from legacy system to SAP

    Hi All,
We have trasferred the one file from legacy system to SAP, and it was created a session in SM35, it contains 1000 errors.
we don't want correct those errors and these entries should be delated, could you please let me know are these errors can I see in any error table in SAP, is this facility is availbe in SAP or not?
becuase it isl very difficult to go and delete the entries one by one in sm35
    Regards
    Nama

    Hi,
    1) No updates will have been done for the items with errors.
    2) Mark the Batch, then press F2 to call up the analysis. You can check here for the cause.
    3) If you are not going to correct the items or the cause so as to post them, just delete the batch.
    Kind regards

  • Interface from Legacy system to Sap

    Hi all,
I worked in the functional design and implementation of an interface that works to update sales order from a legacy system to Sap
Now after some test, i receive the ok to move all the program in production enviroment
I'd like to know and to be sure of all the step to be checked and needed. The mail one for sure are related  the data. So I checked all the custom table I created for this purpose.
Please advise me If I'm missing some important step
    Many thanks for your help

I'd like to know and to be sure of all the step to be checked and needed. The mail one for sure are related the data. So I checked all the custom table I created for this purpose.
'The mail one for sure': What mail one?
'Custom tables': Why did you create custom tables? Don't you just use a BAPI to update / create Sales Order?
What do you mean by interface? An RFC (remote enabled function module)?
In general: Everything you have developed for this, should be in a transport request. I you want to check this, go to the package you created for this development in transaction SE80. Start from the (RFC) interface and check everything this function module needs to function like data elements, domains, structures etc.
You do need to create new rfc destinations in SM59 (in case you are updating sales order via RFC interface.
Haven't you moved it from development to quality before?

  • Updating REBZG (Invoice Reference) from Legacy system

Need help with updating REBZG (Invoice Ref.) for credit memos.  We are using the BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENTxx series of function modules to post invoices from our legacy system.  It correctly places a u2018Vu2019 in REBZG.  We would like to replace this with the document number from the original invoice.
I can create a table of  all credit memos to be updated, but do not know where to insert code to update this field. (both open & closed invoices)
    Any help would be appreciated.

i think it is either the user exit or the BTE FM. You can use one of these 2 options to update REBZG. I would prefer to use the BTE then the CMOD user exit.
Where ever you call the bapi add the REZBG value to extension1. Only when extension1 is populated in the BAPI it will hit the exit or the BTE FM.  Here you can move the extension value to rebzg and set check to N.

  • Oracle Receiving (Purchasing) Interface

Has anyone implemented this and/or can point me in right direction for documenation?
    null

Thanks, from what I've seen the receiving interface is strictly out of EDI Gateway and is the ASN pre-receipt. Is this true?
What is the name of the Receipt interface table?
What are the names of the tables that are updated after the Receipt processor is run?
I believe that the Receipt processor updates 3 tables, how is it that the interface table (1 table) can update multiple tables?
What are the layout specifications for the receiving import program?
    thanks, JL

SAMPLE RECEIVING OPEN INTERFACE SCRIPT(ROI 이용자를 위한 SCRIPT)
    ================================================================
    PURPOSE
Receiving Open Interface(ROI)
PO no, user id,
    Explanation
    Instructions:
1.Script exroi.sql을 local computer에 copy 하거나 sqlplus 환경의 text
    edior에 script 내용을 cut&paste 한다.
2.사용가능한 PO no, User id, Org id를 결정한다.
    3.sqlplus prompt
    SQL> @ezroi.sql
4.PO no, User id, Org id를 입력하라는 prompt를 볼 수 있을 것이다.
5.exroi.sql script를 관련된 PO data를 가져와 rcv_headers_interface 및
    rcv_transactions_interface tables에 insert 한다.
    Notes:
    1.Org_id parameter
    a) Application에 접속, Help> Diagnostics> Examine으로 이동.
    Block:$Profile$, Field: ORG_ID
    a) Application에 접속, Help> Diagnostics> Examine으로 이동.
    Block:$Profile$, Field: USER_NAME

  • GL Data Conversion from Legacy to Oracle EBS

    Hi All,
I am tasked with converting legacy data into GL. I have worked on other conversions like supplier, AR and AP conversions but never worked on GL conversion, so I don't know how and where to start, what are the pre-requisites for entering data into gl_interface table how to ensure that data is correct in the .csv file etc.
Kindly request you all to guide me in right direction. Hope to hear from you all very soon!!! :)
    Regards

    Hi,
When you talk about GL-Data it is the trial balance to be loaded from legacy to oracle applications.
You can use Web-ADI to upload it ,the check list are
The balance for each account comibnation in the legacy system to be mapped to GL-Oracle code combination balance
With respect to open AR, AP Invoices if the invoices are converted using a control account for migration in GL then
the the balance transfered from AP,AR need not be reversed in GL from the source receivables and payables.
In case if the same account combination are for migrating the balances from AP,AR to GL ..Then the balances transferred from AP,AR should be reversed ..so that it does not affect the TB-GL-Balance
Finally ensure that the balance for the TB-tallys with your legacy system and upload it using Web-ADI ,import and
    review and post it.
Hope this points helps your GL-Data conversion.
    Regards,
    Ramaa

  • Creation of consolidated invoices in AP from legacy

We have a requirement where we need to import AP invoices from legacy system. There is a specific requirement where the invoices from legacy system needs to be summed up and create one record in Oracle Payables.
For example, if we have 3 invoices with amounts $400,$300 and $ 800, instead of creating 3 different invoices in AP through AP interface, we have a requirement where we need to sum these amounts and create one single invoice for $1500.
Any pointers as to the best way to accomplish this task would be highly appreciated
    Thanks
    Ramakrishnan

    Hi,
U can Create Manual invoices for this.Like create total invoice worth 800 which will have 3 lines of 200,100,500$ each.
In this case ,you will have to insert data into ap_invoice_interface table.and run payables import program.
Hope this will ease ur solution.

  • Item import to oracle inventory from legacy system

    Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to import a very large number of items (close to 500,000) from a legacy system to oracle inventory.
We are using oracle open interface for this. We have designed a temp table for this purpose in order to validate data before moving it to the oracle interface tables. The data to be migrated is present in a separate data base and we need to move this data to Oracle temp table.
Can we use DB link to migrate this kind of data(in terms of volume)? Also what are the best practices that need to be followed while importing data to Oracle inventory? Is there any other way that this can be done?
Please share your thoughts and suggestions on this
    Thanks
    AM

    Hi,
Some times DB link will fail, Please create custom package and try to interface with legacy system for periodically fetching the data into your tables. If the data is bulk please use API instead of Interface tables.
    Thanks.

  • Importing Expense Report from legacy to Oracle Payables??

    All,
I need to import ER from legacy to payables. I used ap_expense_reports_headers_all & ap_expense_report_lines_all tables. But the "Expense Report Program" is not picking up the data from the tables though i populated all the required columns of the tables!!! When i open the "View Output" it says "The conc.request did not create an output file"!!!
Can anyone tell me what could be the reason behind the failure of the program?
Do I need to populate anyother column to resolve this issue?
    Detailed response is highly appreciated.
    thanks in advance,
    Sen

    Steps to import into AP
Navigate to the Accounts Payable Responsibility
Go to View -> Requests -> Submit a New Request -> Single Request -> OK
Submit the Expense Report Export Program, after specifying all the mandatory parameters
Source parameter should 'Oracle Internet Expenses'
To view the expense report created
Navigate to the Accounts Payable Responsibility attached to the User
Go to Invoices -> Entry -> Invoices
In the Invoice Workbench Window query the Invoice Num field with the Name of the Expense Report created in the previous step. The Invoice is displayed in the Invoice Workbench with the Type as Expense Report

  • Invoice related claims in ORACLE RECEIVABLE.

    Hello guru's
What is the different between valid and invalid invoice?
The invalid invoce might have overpayment or under payment. So i belive, i have to create charge back/ credit transaction for claim.
but the below statement from oracle receivable says about charge back for invalid invoice.
So i don't know why i need to create only chargeback, pls explain to me.
    Thanks, Raghu.K
