Oracle schema diagram for system

hi,
I find very good "schema diagram" for understand a database.
For example like me this page
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/oracle9i/htdocs/9iobe/OBE9i-Public/obe-in/html/sschema/sschema.htm
where I have "schema diagram" for HR, OE, PM, ecc. Oracle example schema.
I search a "schema diagram" for SYS and SYSTEM schema.
thanks in advance
Michele

While the dictionary posters are nice I would like to point out that the posters are generally incomplete, de-normalized, and do not display the true schema of the database. The true 'schema' of the database is to be found in the relationship between the sys.$ base tables and the fixed tables, x$ views.
Nevertheless the posters can sure look nice hanging on the cube wall and they can be useful to clue you in where to hunt for information.

  • Need Schema Diagram For Adobe Campaign Management

    Hi Guys,
    I am new comer for Adobe Campaign Management. I just started to exploring the ACM.
    I am using the Neolane client to learn ACM. I just want to understand the ACM internal database/table structure, how exactly designed it.
    I have product doc but it is more around UI and functional reference.
    It is very helpful to me/new beginner that any one provide the schema diagram for Adobe Campaign Management.
    Please share me any material/document which explain the database stuff (schema,tables,data-dictionary,etc ....) then just forward me.
    Thank's in advance,

    This link to the product documentation describes the key tables in Adobe Campaign:

  • My problems with Oracle Schema Processor for C++ :(

    Dear ;) Oracle XML team and others,
    the followings are really inconvenient with the C++ schema processor:
    -it doesn't even support the Candidate
    Recommendation (OK, the Java version does
    support it, and you can use XSU and upgrade your schemas later when the C++ will also
    support it.)
    -you cannot put comments in the schema, just after the <xsd:schema> element.
    -it's checking the attribute use="required"
    when an attribute is declared in a
    complexType, but it doesn't check
    when an attribute is referenced or, which could be much more useful, when an
    attributegroup is referenced, and it contains
    use attributes. (I tried XMLSpy and it was correct. But I need an API or a C++ tool.)
    I'm really awaiting this schema processor to be updated (maybe on April 14 the W3C Schema recommendation ;))
    -it supports "import" but I had problems with "include" (this looked like a bug, but after I'd posted it, noone replied :(. Maybe because the C++ processor is kind of "obsolete")
    Will the C++ version be updated? (When?)
    I cannot use Java because I try to integrate with a C++ application. I was looking for
    other products, but I only found XSV, Java XSD processors and built-in tools. It's quite sad that there isn't a C++ implementation available. :( Can anyone help me?

  • Oracle Streams setup for multiple schemas in a same database

    We are on 11.1.0.7 and will be using Oracle 11g Streams that will replicate the data real-time for two schemas between the source and target set of schemas with in the same database. We will be doing DDL as well as DML replication.
    I created the following plan and want your inputs. After implementing this, I created a table in SCOTT but it's get replicated to RPT_SCOTT later I tried inserting a row in the table created under SCOTT but that too didn't get replicated to RPT_SCOTT.
    Here are the steps that I used to set up my STREAMS -
    Database Instance:     TESTDB
    Schemas:
         Source:          SCOTT
                   HR
         Target:          RPT_SCOTT
                   RPT_HR
    Configuring Streams:
    1.     Database is in Archive log mode
    2.     Set up the Streams administrator.
    create user STRMADMIN identified by STRMADMIN default tablespace USERS temporary tablespace temp;
    grant resource, dba, AQ_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE to STRMADMIN;
    BEGIN
    DBMS_STREAMS_AUTH.GRANT_ADMIN_PRIVILEGE(
    grantee => 'STRMADMIN',
    grant_privileges => TRUE);
    END;
    3.     Set up Streams queues
    CONNECT STRMADMIN/****
    BEGIN
    DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.SET_UP_QUEUE(
    queue_name => 'STREAMS_QUEUE',
    queue_table => 'STREAMS_QUETAB',
    queue_user => 'STRMADMIN');
    END;
    4.     Add the Apply rule
    BEGIN
    DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.ADD_SCHEMA_RULES(

    7.     Start the Apply

    END;
    Waiting for your inputs!

    If I understand from your code, you want to do this on the same DB :
    SCOTT --> RPT_SCOTT
    HR  --> RPT_HRSo there is a schema transformation, where is it coded ?
    General info : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28321/strms_transform.htm
    More specific on schema rename : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28321/strms_mtransform.htm#CHDGDHDE
    Next : where are the initialisation of both capture schema ?
    Missing :
    execute DBMS_CAPTURE_ADM.PREPARE_SCHEMA_INSTANTIATION( schema_name          => 'scott'');
    execute DBMS_CAPTURE_ADM.PREPARE_SCHEMA_INSTANTIATION( schema_name          => 'HR'');This tell Streams from where to capture the SCN.
    Also there is an (WRONG) instantiation of SCOTT for the apply, which tells the apply to consider as valuable candidate all LCR after source_scn,
    but where is the code or RPT_HR. Alas, you put for the APPLY target schema 'SCOTT' while it should have been 'RPT_SCOTT'.
    the fact that is correct or false depends where you put the schema transformation. If you put the transformation at apply time then use the SOURCE schema name (SCOTT, HR) for the LCR will contains their name. If you put the transformation at capture time, then put target schema name for the LCR will contain their name (RPT_HR,RPT_SCOTT).
    Let's say you put the schema transformation at capture time then
    Missing:
    DBMS_APPLY_ADM.SET_SCHEMA_INSTANTIATION_SCN (
    source_schema_name => 'RPT_HR',
    source_database_name => 'TESTDB',
    instantiation_scn => source_scn);If you attache the transformation on the apply process then the code is :
    DBMS_APPLY_ADM.SET_SCHEMA_INSTANTIATION_SCN (
    source_schema_name => 'HR',
    source_database_name => 'TESTDB',
    instantiation_scn => source_scn);And this is useless:
    -- useless code
    BEGIN
    DBMS_APPLY_ADM.ALTER_APPLY(
    apply_name => 'APPLY_CC_STREAM',
    apply_user => 'STRMADMIN');
    END;
    BEGIN
    DBMS_APPLY_ADM.ALTER_APPLY(
    apply_name => 'APPLY_AB_STREAM',
    apply_user => 'STRMADMIN');
    END;
    /Last : You are using the same queue for 2 separated capture/apply transformation.
    Do yourself a favor and give each couple capture/tranform/apply its own queue.

  • Where is A good Systems Objects Scheme Diagram???

    I would love to find a UML diagram for a base install of all system objects for Oracle Enterprise (NOT That "Free" CA thing that they want a blood type for). That other product (MS) gives you a pretty glossy poster of the system objects. I would like to download it and print it out on a plotter. Any sources?
    Thanks
    A

    If u check the return value for null before using it, i see no reason why u can't send null (after all, sending nothing is a lot better than sending something - saves the ops for pushing the data into the stack and popping it out of it!). Anyway, checking for null is so much more elegant
    if(obj1 == null)
      //return error
    else
      return obj1;rather than having to get the value from the object and manipulating it!

  • Looking for System Tables / Views like in Oracle DB - user_constraints, user_tab_columns, ...

    Hello,
    I'm looking for system tables or views like in the Oracle Database.
    First I'm looking for running /active sessions - like v$sessions or in an RAC environment gv$session
    And get the corresponding SQL from v$sql
    Second I had problems to drop tables due to constraints.
    Therefore I was looking for dba_constraints, all_constraints or user_constraints
    select * from user_constraints WHERE constraint_type in ('R');
    With that information I'm able to generate a script to drop the constraints.
    Third I want quick lookup about data types used in a table to correct my settings in Oracle BI.
    For example which column in which table of my schema uses the datatype BIGINT.
    If only 3 attributes in  two tables out of 100 use the BIGINT datatype - I'm able to quickly change my settings in the OBIEE repository.
    I'm missing a table like user_tab_columns.
    How can I get the same information out of TimesTen ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Thorsten

    Hi Thorsten,
    You should be able to get some of the information that you want from the TimesTen reports that are in SQL Developer.
    e.g.
    <TimesTen Reports -> Table -> Columns -> Columns> returns a listing of all the columns and their data types. You can order by the data type column or add a filter (say ='TT_BIGINT') to restrict the result set.
    <TimesTen Reports -> Table -> Constraints -> All Constraints / FK Constraints / PK Constraints / Unique Constraints>  returns a listing of all the constraints, their name, the table that the constraints are on, and their properties.
    For all the SQL Developer reports, you will be able to see the underlying queries and the TimesTen system tables/ views that they reference.

  • How to create a new user id in OID for Oracle Collab suite File System

    Dear Friends,
    I want to know how to create a new user id in the oracle internet directory where i can use that user for the new subscription of the oracle collabration suite file system..
    Please do the needfull and thanks in advance...
    With warm regards
    R.Prasad

    Hi!
    The way you suggest should not be used.
    A CS user will be created as a normal OID user and will receive the CS attributes in a different subtree later during the provisioning.
    For creating CS users use oesuser and uniuser. Files provisioning will work in a different manner anyway.

  • ER diagram for Oracle 8i database

    Hi all,
    I'm working as DBA in a banking environment and have got a request to provide the ER diagram of a database(Oracle 8i).
    The DBAs who have created this database in Year 2000 are not here currently and there is no documentation on the db design. There are around 3000 tables in this database and i'm not sure whether foreign key constraints are there on the tables.
    Can someone pls advise whether there is any tool or there is some other way to generate ER diagram for this database?
    Thanks and awaiting your suggestions...
    Regards,
    Poonam

    PoonamJust beware that automated tools can only pick up on the defined FK relationships. Unfortunately, a lot of apps don't rely on FK, believing they can enforce everything in the app code -- which of course the db will have no knowledge of but from a business standpoint is still a relationship.

  • Oracle Best Practices for generating Transactions IDs in high OLTP systems

    We are in the process of designing a high OLTP system using Oracle 11g Database with the following NFRs:
    1) 1 million transactions per day
    2) 100,000 concurrent users
    There are close to about 160-180 entities in the database and we want to know the best approach/practice in deriving the transaction IDs for the OLTP system. Our preferences are given below:
    1) Use Oracle Sequence starting with 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) - This is to make the TXN ID look meaningful when it starts with 1 billion instead of starting it with 1.
    2) Use timestamp and cast it to number instead of using Oracle sequence.
    Note: Transaction IDs must appear in sequence as they are inserted - be it sequence/timestamp
    I would like to know pros/cons of the above methods and their impacts on performance. Also, appreciate if you could share any any best practices/methods that Oracle supports.
    Thanks in advance.

    I did a quick PoC using both Oracle Sequence & Timestamp for 1 million inserts in a Non-RAC environment. Code used is given below:
    create sequence testseq start with 1 cache 10000 order;
    create table test1 (txnid number, txndate timestamp(9));
    create table test2 (txnid number, txndate timestamp(9));
    begin
    for i in 1..1000000
    loop
    insert into test1 values(testseq.nextval,systimestamp(9));
    end loop;
    commit;
    end;
    begin
    for i in 1..1000000
    loop
    insert into test2 values(to_number(to_char(systimestamp(9),'yyyymmddhh24missff9')), systimestamp(9));
    end loop;
    commit;
    end;
    Here are the results:
    select max(txndate)-min(txndate) from test1;
    Result >> 0 0:3:3.514891000
    select max(txndate)-min(txndate) from test2;
    Result >> 0 0:1:32.386923000
    It appears that Timestamp is faster than sequence... Any thought is highly appreciated...Interesting that your sequence timing is so slow. You say this was a non-RAC environment, but I wonder if you had Oracle linked in RAC mode even though you were running single instance - this would result in the ORDERed sequence running through RAC's "DFS Lock Handle" mechanism which might account for the timing anomaly.
    Unfortunately your test is not particularly relevant. As DomBrooks points out there are lots of problems with sequence-based or time-based columns, especially in RAC, and most particularly if you think you want a "no-gap" sequence. On top of this, of course, your test doesn't include an index on the relevant column, and it's single user and doesn't test for any concurrency effects.
    Typical performance problems are: your RAC instances spend all their time negotiating who gets to use the next value; the index you use to enforce uniqueness suffers from massive contention on the "high-value" block unless you create a reverse-key index - at which point you have to be able to cache the entire index to minimise I/O overheads; you can hash partition the index to avoid using the reverse-key option - but that costs a lot of money if you don't already license the partitioning option.

  • Generate E-R diagram for existing Oracle SQL Script

    Hi,
    We have some existed Packages,Procedures,Functions,Views and Materialized Views. We are planning to generate E-R diagrams for existed codes. Could you please suggest me how can we do the same.
    we are using Oracle SQL Developer and Oracle Version is : 11g.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I have already posted a thread regarding Data Flow diagram for existing source code. But I couldn't find find where exactly I have posted. So here I am posting my observations. I would like to prepare a Data Flow diagram for existing Source code. Using Visustin V7 I got the Data Flow Diagram. But am not able to export or Save or Print the diagram. As some one suggested it is possible to get the DFD using Visio. But am not able to get the DFD. Here am getting the problem like , Gave user name and Server name by connecting to ODBC. But still am not getting the required DFD.
    Can you please suggest me is there any way to get the DFD using Visio or any tool is there to get the DFD.
    Please advice.
    Thanks.

    and DB also, if OS is ML06 and above, i am wondering how i can know if my os is ML06 or not, and there is not patch 5496862 for my db version 9204 available...

    i am wondering how i can know if my os is ML06 or notResponse in your thread of yesterday :
    Re: Upgrading the operating system AIX to IBM TECHNOLOGY LEVEL 5
    there is not patch 5496862 for my db version 9204 available...
    According to the metalink note 390656.1, "If the patch is unavailable for your database version, please contact Oracle Support for assistance", and since you have an open SR, that should be easy.

  • Encountered an error while getting the ORACLE user account for your concurrent request. Contact your system administrator

    Dear Techies,
    We have registered an Extra Information Type as self service OAF page and did some validations using user hook which are working fine. But for some requests EIT creation page is throwing below errors.
    1. Encountered an error while getting the ORACLE user account for your concurrent request. Contact your system administrator.
    2. An unexpected situation occurred while executing routine FND_DATA_SECURITY.GET_SECURITY_PREDICATE_HELPER.The cause was: The parameter 'p_object_name' cannot be 'GLOBAL'.
    System throws these errors whenever user hook suppose to throw our customized validation messages.Since we are at UAT instance, we are bouncing apache and oacore to get rid of these errors every time they appear. But we cannot bounce once it is moved to production.
    Kindly share some ideas  to fix these errors as we are very close to Go-Live and we are facing this issue with all EIT's and SIT's.
    Thanks and Regards
    Dileep Kumar.

    Hi Mahesh,
    Thanks for reply.
    I have gone through the link that you have suggested. But our EIT user hook validations doesn't  have any code related to submission of concurrent programs. More over our error is not stable. If we bounce the apache and oacore, the system will work fine without unexpected errors for some time. We are not even able to replicate these errors.
    Thanks and Regards
    Dileep Kumar.
