pls tell how can i trap and handle the error returned by oracle server in my forms with the oracle error no and the associated message with that error.

you could declare your own exception to trap specific oracle errors.
e.g. to trap ora-600 errors
declare
  ora_600 exception;
  pragma exception_init(ora_600, -600);
begin
  your_action;
exception
when ora_600 then
  your_exception_handling(sqlcode, sqlerrm);
end;now you trap ora-600 in your exception block; the full message of the exception is returned by sqlerrm; the code is returned by sqlcode
Or (not advisable but anyway) you can create an when others exception handler, which traps all exceptions (except the one you've catched before)
begin
  your_actions;
exception
  when no_data_found then
    your_no_data_found_handler; --no data found trapped
  when others then
    others_exception_handler; --all other exceptions
end;
