With which user rights you have installed the weblogic server.
Can you list the user user permissions listing of all the directories present in WLS installation?
Did you created the domain with the same user with which you have installed the weblogic server or you are using some other user for creating the domain and starting the server.
Thanks,

  • Develop in JDev 10.1.3.5, test and deploy to Oracle Weblogic 11g

    Hi,
    I have run into some important issues when trying to migrate my Jdev 10.1.3.5 applications to JDev 11g for deployment to the latest Oracle Weblogic Application server version, see threads:
    Thread: migration problems ADF/ Struts 10.1.3 -> 11.1.1.3
    migration problems ADF/ Struts 10.1.3 -> 11.1.1.3
    Thread: ADF/Swing/JClient application migration problem from 10.1.3.5 to 11.1.1.3
    Re: ADF/Swing/JClient application migration problem from 10.1.3.5 to 11.1.1.3
    - so using JDev 10.1.3.5 with deployment to Oracle Weblogic 11g is a must for us.
    Questions:
    1) Is there a way to use Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 for debugging inside JDev 10.1.3.5?
    2) Can I develop with JDev 10.1.3.5 + JDK 1.5 and create an ear to deploy to Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 Application server with JDK 1.6 64bits?
    3) Which version of ADF should I install on Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 to run my 10.1.3.5 application?
    Your help will be appreciated
    Fred

    Is there a way to use Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 for debugging inside JDev 10.1.3.5?While you can't replace the embedded OC4J - you can use an external WLS server and do remote debugging on it. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/remotedebugwls-086628.html
    From inside JDeveloper you can also deploy directly to the WLS server.
    Can I develop with JDev 10.1.3.5 + JDK 1.5 and create an ear to deploy to Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 Application server with JDK 1.6 64bits?Yes you can. Note that so far we haven't officially certified ADF 10.1.3 on WLS 10.3 - but from various customers and testings we think it works ok. We might certify this combination in the future.
    Follow these steps to get the deployment working:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/deployingwls-091640.html
    Which version of ADF should I install on Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 to run my 10.1.3.5 application?You always install the version of ADF that matches the one your application was developed and compiled with.

  • Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.2 or Oracle Weblogic 11g

    Hi
    I am trying to find a roadmap for the above servers. Our company is currently looking at upgrading to one of the two from 10.1.2.
    We have already got the application to run on 10.1.3.2 and another team is trying to upgrade to Oracle Weblogic 11g.
    What do you recommend we do?
    Will all new servers only be Oracle Weblogic 11g? Or can we expect releases of Oracle App Server?
    Also where can I find a roadmap of this?

    Hi
    I cannot make any officially statement but my gut feeling is down the line Oracle will use Weblogic Server as their core application server in place of their own Oracle Application Server. The main reason being the SAO 11g suite using WLS as the base server. Infact one of the reasons Oracle bought BEA is because of the Weblogic Server product. So I would recommend putting the effort in upgrading your applications and existing domains to WLS instead of Oracle Application server subject to your actual type and nature of applications. Any BPEL, SOA, WebServices can now be deployed on WLS. If any of your exisitng legacy applications deployed on Oracle App Server cannot be deployed on WLS, then check with Oracle Product Mgmt team about the specifics of those apps roadmap regarding app serves. Hope this helps.

  • Oracle weblogic 11g migration

    Hi
    We are migrating from BEA weblogic 9.2 to Oracle weblogic 11g(10.3.5). The xsd schemas are imported in the WSDL. .NET application consumes the services hosted in weblogic.
    I have a problem when the refernce is updated in .NET. The issue is :
    BEA weblogic 9.2
    Element name declared using camel case notation in XSD schems are converted to pascal case notation when the WSDL is published.
    example : productCode  is published as ProductCode.
    if the same WSDL is published in 11g then the element is published with the same case "productCode".
    This difference is causing a major issue in .NET application and the require huge cahnge in .NET schema.
    I dont understand the exact issue here . Is it with BEA or Oracle weblogic ?.
    can any one help me to resolve this issue.

    Hi
    There is a problem observed with weblogic while using the getRealPath, as it send null, only thiing is to explode the war file in weblogic manually.
    But here you can look for below workaround.
    Use the <show-archived-real-path-enabled> flag to specify that context.getRealPath() returns the path of the resource from the Server's
    internal webapp extraction directory for archived web applications. The flag can be configured in two ways:
    * At domain level in config.xml and WEB-APP level
    For example Domain Level:
    <web-app-container>
    <show-archived-real-path-enabled>true
    </show-archived-real-path-enabled>
    </web-app-container>
    * At the web app level in weblogic.xml. For example:
    <container-descriptor>
    <show-archived-real-path-enabled>true
    </show-archived-real-path-enabled>
    </container-descriptor>
    The value of <show-archived-real-path-enabled> set in the web app has precedence over the value set at the domain level. The default value of
    this property is false. Note that, if this path is used to dynamically copy some content to this directory location, the content will end up in the Server's internal web app extraction directory. When the web app is recompiled for any reason, the web app may be re-extracted and previously copied content will be lost.
    OR
    1. check what type of resource the Japser class is trying to access, (see in your old wls8 server and creates the same directory/file there.
    2. try using getServletContext().getResource("/NAME OF THE RESOURCE").getPath().substring(1)

  • "Invalid Java Home" when installing Oracle Weblogic 11g (10.3.1)

    Hi folks,
    I'm trying to install Oracle's Weblogic 11g (10.3.1)
    (http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/middleware/11g/wls/wls1031_generic.jar)
    The installer starts, but does not detect the JDK home (which I expected). It does however let you browse the file system to select a home. I've tried selecting the following:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home
    but I get an "Invalid Java Home" error.
    According to the documentation, Weblogic should run on a 1.6 JDK.
    I notice that there are a few other Java related issues on these forums. Does anybody have any clues?
    It sounds like the Apple JDK needs patching to make it usable by some Java apps. Bring on the 10.6 Java patch!

    Just letting everyone know that the answer can be found here:
    http://blogs.oracle.com/emorales/2009/06/weblogicover_mac_osx.html
    It seems that we have to "dummy up" a jre/lib directory to fool the Weblogic JDK detection check.

  • Running oracle forms and reports within weblogic 11g

    hi
    I have installed oracle weblogic 11g, my quastion is:
    is there any thing necessary to download and install to run forms and reports on weblogic
    and how i can see my forms within url and how i can do connection on oracle database 10g
    thanx

    Hi,
    I second John's link. I recommend to read through the installation guide. Which version of forms you looking to install, Forms 11gR1 or Forms 11gR2 (latest)? Also what type of system is this?
    To summarize up the installation document, heres what you need to do to install latest version (11gR2):
    1.) Download Install Files:
    WebLogic *10.3.5*: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/wls-main-097127.html
    Forms 11.1.2: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html
    2.) Install WebLogic (No Node Manager)
    3.) Install and Configure Forms 11.1.2
    4.) You completed a vanilla WLS+Forms installation
    5.) (Optional) Install Node Manager After installation is complete.
    Let me know if this helps.
    Thank you,

  • WebLogic 11g (JDeveloper11g) Deployment Configuration

    Hello,
    I developed a Dashboard application using Fusion technology within JDeveloper 11g and Oracle Database Express 10g for not-for profit organization that will track all their global IT Assets. The application look great. I also completed configuration of Oracle WebLogic 11g and deploy the Application from EAR file.
    The Problem
    After completing the deployment, the application work pretty well if the application is not removed from JDeveloper11g. Whe I decided to removed the application from JDeveloper 11g, I was not able to view the application when I run the WebLogic 11g Application Server.
    The configuration deployment in Jdeveloper doesn't go to the process of configuring the following as it is done in Jdeveloper 11g handbook:
    cannection name, connection type: weblogic, authentication, configuration, test, finish
    The Solution I am looking for:
    I am looking to configure the EAR file and remove the source code from the computer so I do not give out the source code. Is this possible with JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0? or do I need another version of JDeveloper?

    Hi
    From JDeveloper IDE, you can deploy your application or project to any Application Server OR as an EAR or WAR file. Any web application can be deployed as WAR file. This war file will be created under deploy folder of your project within the project source folder. But if you have application and this has multiple projects, then at application level, you can choose deploy and select as EAR. This will create .EAR file under deploy folder of your application. This is how its done most of the times. During development, we deploy directly to the app server configured with JDeveloper. Later on to deploy to any other application server, you create .EAR or .WAR or .JAR from JDeveloper. Then deploy these modules on external appliacation servers. There is no need for your source code or any stuff.
    Thanks

  • Oracle Portal returns 500 error running under Weblogic 11g server

    I've got Oracle Portal set up under Weblogic 11g.
    SSO running, talking to OID 11g, also running under the same Weblogic 11g server. Tested SSO, it is working well.
    After the install (no errors or issue on install), I go to http://<server>:8090/portal/pls/portal and geta Error 500 - Internal Server Error.
    I traced down the problem to OHS - in ohs1.log:

  • Oracle WebLogic Portal 10.3.6 Vs. Oracle Portal 11g

    I have a basic question on the latest release. We have BEA (now Oracle) WebLogic Portal 9.2 and need to upgrade. Should we upgrade to Oracle WebLogic Portal 10.3.6 OR  Oracle Portal 11g? Am I comparing the two correctly?
    Thanks,
    Channu

    WebLogic Portal 10.3.6 is the last version of WLP, you can upgrade your application from 9.2 to 10.3.6 with tools provided by Oracle.
    Oracle Portal 11g is a complete different product.

    I we encountered the same issue. We overcame it by installing OSR on a weblogic domain which didnt have SOA suite installed as SOA was causing a conflict. Not sure if your domain contains SOA but if it does then you should try and create another domain for OSR only.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards.
