Order of dynamic actions

Hello everyone,
I have got two dynamic actions triggered by the same field (marital status in IT0002), one is calling IT0101 (Fiscal Status Belgium) and the other calling IT0021.
What determines which order they come? I want IT0021 to come first, and later IT0101.
Is it the sequence no? If so, how can I change it? I tried to change it but it is not modifyable.
Thank you very much.
Nihan

U cannot change Seq number.U have to delete and recreate.
U just copy the line and make 3rd row.
Example.
Seqnr     DAta
1         A
2         B
U want B to come first.
Copy row having A then make Seqnr 3.
So U'll get
Seqnr     DAta
1         A
2         B
3         A
Now delete the first row and U'll get
Seqnr     DAta
2         B
3         A
Hope this will solve Ur problem.
Award POints if helpful.

  • Dynamic Action, validation check, on an Item, could not use Change event

    I am learning how to use Dynamic Actions in a 3.2.x app that was upgraded to 4.0.x. I wanted to share what I learned adding client side validation with these actions. Perhaps an Apex guru could suggest an easier method to use this feature.
    I have an existing function where a user selects multiple rows in a report page, and then assigns a single status and enters justification text for the selected rows in another page, then saves changes (via submit).
    One item, justification, is required. I replaced my JavaScript validation of an empty value, e.g., P10_JUSTIFICATION.value, with a dynamic action. The Change event was a candidate for this item, with the "is not null" Condition. However, it is possible to initiate this screen to review the status, overlook the justification text and immediately select a button to save changes. No Change event has fired. The Before Page Submit event was applicable here. This Event selection in the wizard does not provide the Item for definition and then the Condition wasn't the right context though available for selection. I selected JavaScript expression for the Condition, actually entered my original JS test expression, and created one True Action. The True action displays an Alert to tell the user that required text is missing.
    Test of this DA was not completely successful. The alert appeared but the page went on to submit anyway. I found I had to add another True Action, Cancel Event, to stop the submit. The DA was then successful.
    The Apex site examples, [http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/db/apex/r40/apexdynactions/apexdynactions_ll.htm] , do a great job showing use of Change and Set Value events for Items but a user may not always navigate through items. These features were promoted for developers with no to little knowledge of JavaScript to use Apex for application development. This DA required using/understanding JS anyways.
    My next step is to implement actions on a tabular form that that has required values. It is disconcerting that I have read in the forum that the column value references such as f0x and its row number are required to get it all working (as a DOM or JQuery selector). I have already found that tabular form columns can be re-ordered from v3.2.1 to 4.0.x. I was hoping I could declare dynamic actions or simpler Javascript methods that would not rely on f0x array references.
    Thanks,
    Kelly

    It is disconcerting that I have read in the forum that the column value references such as f0x and its row number are required to get it all working (as a DOM or JQuery selector).Not necessarily. One possibility is to use descendent jQuery selectors to attach the dynamic action event handler by column heading:
    td[headers="HIREDATE"] input

  • Help using a dynamic action to update tabular form items (specifically radio button) based on collection

    Hi Everyone, I have posted this question in the past and made huge progress with Denes Kubicek's help:  https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=31517:294:115851992029365::::: based on my earlier question posted: https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2537494
    I am struggling with one item in my tabular form.  It is a radio button.  The choices all appear properly, but the value is not saved in the collection (and hence, not saved in the table).  All other items in the tabular form save properly.
    here is what I have for the query.   It is item c024 (which maps to ;'f03'), which is defined as a radio LOV based on an existing LOV.
    Currently I have:
    2 page items:
    P110_ID
    P110_VALUE
    Dynamic action called CHANGE COLUMN:
    event: CHANGE
    selection type: jQUERY Selector
    jQuery:
    jQuery Select = input[name='f03'],select[name'f08'],select[name='f09'],input[name='f10'],input[name='f11'],input[name='f12'],select[name='f40'],input[name='f21'],input[name='f22'],input[name='f23'],input[name='f50']
    event scope: Dynamic
    true action#1: set value P110_ID javascript expression this.triggeringElement.id
    true action#2: set value P110_VALUE javascript expression this.triggeringElement.value
    true action#3: execute pl/sql code
    declare
      v_member number;
      v_seq number;
    begin
      v_member := TO_NUMBER (SUBSTR (:p110_id, 2, 2));
      select ltrim(substr(:p110_ID,5,4),'0') into v_seq from dual;
      safis_collections.update_column(v_seq,
                                    v_member,
                                    :p110_value);
    true ation#4 refresh region :LANDINGS_COLLECTION
    the tabular form is based on the query:
    SELECT
    apex_item.text(1,seq_id,'','','id="f01_'||seq_id,'','') "DeleteRow",
    seq_id,

    from apex_collections
    where collection_name = 'SPECIES_COLLECTION' order by seq_id
    I have noticed the following:
    when I change column C011 (price) the following values are set in the dynamic action:
    P110_ID = f11_1
    P110_VALUE = whatever I change the price to.
    when I change the column C024 (hms_flag), the following values are set:
    P110_ID = f03_0001
    P110_VALUE = whatever I change hms_flag to.
    the region is refreshed in my dynamic action, and the change for hms_flag does not hold.  I have tested the SQL query that generates the value for v_SEQ in the dynamic action.   In both a change to price and HMS_FLAG it appears valid
    select ltrim(substr(:p110_ID,5,4),'0') into v_seq from dual;
    if f11_1, v_seq:= 1
    if f03_0001, v_seq := 1
    thank you!

    solved.  sort of.
    field c024 references f03.
    the Dynamic ACtion, step 4 calculates v_member by taking a substring of P110_ID...and in all other fields, the column and the field (fxx) are the same value....except for c024.
    I am not certain exactly how to resolve, but see the problem.

  • Dynamic action on button click

    Hi:
    I need some help.
    I am trying to create a dynamic action on the click of a specific button.
    I have set the Event to 'click" and the Selection Type to "DOM Object", but I do not know how to reference the button. I am using a standard template button and #BUTTON_ATTRIBUTES# is not included in the template - I am not sure how to include it in order to be able to specify an id for the button.
    Can someone give me some guidance on the steps I msut take to implement a dynamic action on the click of a button.
    Thanks.
    Bruce

    Bruce,
    edit your button template and add #BUTTON_ATTRIBUTES# to the button-tag of your button
    e.g.
    <button value="#LABEL#" onclick="#LINK#" class="button-gray" type="button" #BUTTON_ATTRIBUTES#>
    <span>#LABEL#</span>
    </button>

  • Dynamic action in a report region in a master detail form

    hi
    I have created a master detail form , in which many validation etc is done ,the MASTER is a FORM  and DETAIL is a REPORT
    Now I am stuck up with the detail region .i.e report
    I have Line Detail where there are ITEMS such as SL NO: ,ITEM_ID , UOM ( Unit of measuremnt ) etc
    Now here is where I need help .
    Using POP UP LOV i have managed to fetch in LOV for the item "ITEM_ID",--- i can select an item name using the pop up LOV ,
    Now all that I want is when I select an item name from the pop up lov , an Item Id is displayed or fetched in that particular place , now i want the corresponding UOM to be diaplayed  ( i.e the UOM for that particular Item Id which has been selected by me from the pop up lov ).
    In order to resolve this I created a Dynamic action where in I get the UOM . Bt the problem is that the ITEMS displayed for selecting in the WHEN section (
    DYNAMIC action
    -IDENTIFICATION section
    -WHEN section----- items (  here i am not listed with ITEMS of the REPORT region instead ITEMS of the MASTER is available )
    -TRUE ACTION section etc is only the
    ITEMS of the MASTER region ..
    Please help me sort this out

  • Is it possible to change LOV definition using dynamic action?

    Hi,
    I have a multi-select LOV page item, P27_MULTI_CLASS_CODE, defined as below.  On page load, this list only contains values based on what has been passed to P27_OLO_CODE or P27_OLO_CODE_SW.
    SELECT DISTINCT c.class_code d, c.class_code r
      FROM ORGANIZATION o,
           POSITION p,
           CLASS c
    WHERE o.org_wk = p.org_wk
       AND p.class_wk = c.class_wk
       AND o.org_active_flag = 'Y'
       AND p.pos_active_flag = 'Y'
       AND c.class_active_flag = 'Y'
       AND (o.olo_code = :P27_OLO_CODE
            OR o.olo_code = :P27_OLO_CODE_SW)
    ORDER BY c.class_code ASC
    Before submitting the page, I would like the LOV definition of P27_MULTI_CLASS_CODE to change to the following (similar query without reference to P27_OLO_CODE or P27_OLO_CODE_SW) based on whether the user selects checkbox item, P27_ALLOW_SW.   By doing this, P27_MULTI_CLASS_CODE would contain a full range of values rather than limited values.
    SELECT DISTINCT c.class_code d, c.class_code r
      FROM ORGANIZATION o,
           POSITION p,
           CLASS c
    WHERE o.org_wk = p.org_wk
       AND p.class_wk = c.class_wk
       AND o.org_active_flag = 'Y'
       AND p.pos_active_flag = 'Y'
       AND c.class_active_flag = 'Y'
    ORDER BY c.class_code ASC
    I wanted to avoid writing Javascript.  Is this possible using dynamic actions...or at least somehow refresh P27_MULTI_CLASS_CODE so that it ignores P27_OLO_CODE and P27_OLO_CODE_SW?
    I've tried creating a dynamic action to clear the value of  P27_OLO_CODE or P27_OLO_CODE_SW, in hope it would trigger P27_MULTI_CLASS_CODE to display all values, but it has not been successful.  Any ideas?
    APEX 4.2

    I was able to resolve by changing the SQL statement to P27_MULTI_CLASS_CODE.  Note:  I also included an additional condition.
    SELECT DISTINCT c.class_code d, c.class_code r
      FROM ORGANIZATION o,
           POSITION p,
           CLASS c
    WHERE o.org_wk = p.org_wk
       AND p.class_wk = c.class_wk
       AND o.org_active_flag = 'Y'
       AND p.pos_active_flag = 'Y'
       AND c.class_active_flag = 'Y'
       AND (:P27_ALLOW_SW = 'Y'
            OR (o.olo_code =  :P27_OLO_CODE
                OR o.olo_code = :P27_OLO_CODE_SW)
       AND (:P27_PAY_PLAN IS NULL
             OR p.pay_plan = :P27_PAY_PLAN)
    ORDER BY c.class_code ASC
    I also changed the Cascading LOV Parent Item(s) value to:  P27_OLO_CODE,P27_OLO_CODE_SW,P27_PAY_PLAN,P27_ALLOW_SW.  Optimize Refresh = No, since a change in any one of these values should trigger refresh of LOV.
    The Dynamic Action was also modified to NULL out P27_OLO_CODE,P27_OLO_CODE_SW when P27_ALLOW_SW was enabled.
    So far, so good!  Thanks for your suggestions Tom and Howard!

    Create two dynamic action
    1. Make it order number item disable on page load.
       Event : Page Load
       Action : Disable
       Fire When event result is : True
       Selection Type : Item
       Item : Your order number item
    2 . enable and disable order number on selection of order type(assuming when order type is null it is disable otherwise it is enable)
        Event : Change
        Selection type : item
        Item : your order type item
        condition : is not null
    True Action
        Action : Enable
        Fire When event result is : True
        Fire on page load : True
        Selection Type : Item
        Item : Your order number item
    False Action
        Action : Disable
        Fire When event result is : False
        Fire on page load : True
        Selection Type : Item
        Item : Your order number item

  • Populating Text Field using Dynamic Actions is not working

    I've a Select List (P14_ACCOUNT) and Text Field (P14_BILLING_ADDRESS_1) on a form. On selecting a value on the Select List, I've to populate the Text Fields by fetching its values from the database by using the Select List value as the primary key. To do this, I created a Dynamic Actions (Advanced) on the Select List, with event onchange and Set Value as SQL. However this is not working.
    Below are the sqls of Select List and Dynamic Action respectively:
    select ACCOUNT_NO || ' - ' || COMPANY_NAME display_value, ACCOUNT_ID return_value
    from ACCOUNT
    order by 1
    select a.address1 from account a where a.account_id = :P14_ACCOUNTNow when I substitute the Dynamic Action sql with any of the below sqls, the value shows up:
    select address1 from account where account_id = 41
    select address1 from account where rownum=1
    select user from dualI thought of seeing the value of :P14_ACCOUNT in session or debug, but session does not show any value and on clicking debug it throws a popup message "Debugging is not enabled for this application."
    I've been trying since few hours but with no luck. How can I debug further?
    Thanks for the help.

    Take alook at your application on apex.oracle.com
    The session state for items, when SQL is used, is set using the Page Items to Submit parameter as has been set in your application.

  • Dynamic actions in apex 5.0

    I have upgraded an application to apex 5.0 and have a few bugs related to dynamic actions.
    It seems that even when the "page items to submit" field has been filled in the session state/item value is not updated and consequently can not be used in the dyamic action.  (its possible I had set this manually via js in the html attributes but if so then this was lost due to conversion..possible but it seems less likely.)
    Has anyone had a similar experience or know of a way to fix this?

    Hi,
    as already pointed out the above code isn't really a JavaScript Expression, because it doesn't return anything. APEX 4.2 and previous versions where more forgiving, because they used eval to execute that dynamic JavaScript code. Eval is very forgiving and also accepts code which doesn't return anything. Because of security best practices, APEX 5.0 isn't making use of eval anymore and expects that the JavaScript expression is really an expression and not a JavaScript code block. Please see the documented change of behavior '4.24 Dynamic Action Set Value Action Set Type JavaScript Expression More Strict' in our Release Notes at https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E59726_01/doc.50/e39143/toc.htm#HTMRN310
    In my opinion the above dynamic action should actually be of type 'Execute JavaScript Code' instead of 'Set Value'. Because that's what it's actually doing.
    You can run the following SQL Statement in SQL Commands to get an idea which dynamic actions might be affected by this change of behavior. It searches for multi line JavaScript Expressions.
    select page_id,
           page_name,
           dynamic_action_name,
           action_name,
           attribute_05
      from apex_application_page_da_acts
    where application_id = 96695
       and action_code  = 'NATIVE_SET_VALUE'
       and attribute_01 = 'JAVASCRIPT_EXPRESSION'
       and instr( attribute_05, chr(10) ) > 0
    order by page_id, dynamic_action_name;
    Sorry for the inconvenience this security change has caused for you.

  • Dynamic actions in sequence

    Hi all,
            I have 5 dynamic actions in a page.
                I want to know whether there is any way to execute these dynamic actions in order ( i.e when the 1'st action is completed then only the 2'nd and 3'rd should be processed)..
    waiting for ur replies
    with regards
    BalaG

    If the dynamic actions need to work in sequence, then you can put them as "TRUE" actions in one and the same dynamic action.

  • Dynamic Action in Apex - Select list to Text field

    Hi,
    I have two text items. Need to create dynamic action for the following,
    1. Order_type - Drop down values having CONSUMER & WHOLESALE.
    2. Order_number - Text field
    When a user selects CONSUMER, order number should automatically change to '1-' and user can enter only 14 characters (1-236666666666).
    When a user selects WHOLESALE, order number should automatically change to '2-' and user can enter only 12 characters (2-2155555555).
    Can someone please help to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Gayathri,
    Gayathri Venugopal wrote:
    Thanks Kiran. Actually ,order number should be disabled. only on selection of  order type, order number should be enabled, how do I do that?can you please help
    I can do fire on page load and disable order number .But how do i enable it again on selection of order number
        Let's say '1-' is prefix for Order Number when Order Type is 'CONSUMER' and '2-' is the prefix for Order Number when Order Type is 'WHOLESALE'.
        So a solution to your issue would be:
    Go to Page Attributes -> CSS -> Inline CSS and add the following class:
    .item_disabled {
      cursor: default;
      opacity: 0.5;
      filter: alpha(opacity=50);
      pointer-events: none;
    Create three elements PXX_ORDERNUM_PRE, PXX_ORDERNUM_SUF(as text Items) and PXX_ORDER_NUMBER(as hidden. Set Value Protected -> No).
    Arrange the PXX_ORDERNUM_PRE and PXX_ORDERNUM_SUF on one row.
    Set the "HTML Form Element Attributes" for PXX_ORDERNUM_PRE to this:
    readonly="true"
    Set the "HTML Form Element CSS Classes" for PXX_ORDERNUM_PRE to this:
    item_disabled
        NOTE : The above two points are to make the PXX_ORDERNUM_PRE element readonly, because if we disable the element we can't assign it a value.
    On the change event of PXX_ORDER_TYPE select list create dynamic action to populate PXX_ORDERNUM_PRE (as mentioned earlier)
    var ordertype = $('#P11_ORDER_TYPE').val();
    if (ordertype === 'CONSUMER') {
      $('#P11_ORDER_NUMBER_PRE').val('1-');
    } else if (ordertype === 'WHOLESALE') {
      $('#P11_ORDER_NUMBER_PRE').val('2-');
    Create an on-submit computation to concatenate PXX_ORDERNUM_PRE and PXX_ORDERNUM_SUF into PXX_ORDER_NUMBER.
    Create validation on PXX_ORDERNUM_SUF, if PXX_ORDER_TYPE is 'CONSUMER' the length should be 12 characters, if 'WHOLESALE' the length should be 10 characters.(excluding 2 characters of prefix).
         So this covers the following:
    On change of Order Type, Order Number Prefix should be set.
    Order Number Prefix should be not able to be modified, but the rest of Order Number should be able to be entered by user.
    Order Number should be of specific length depending upon the Order Type.
         Hope this helps!

    Kiran

  • Dynamic action - default values

    Hi guys,
    Anybody knows if it is possible to set a dynamic action in order to default P0001-WERKS field in the Infotype 0001?
    Thank you very much!

    So you mean to say, Action 0000 Infotype and Org Assignment 0001 infotype will have different values depending on Action Type??
    This is not at all possibleeeeee!!
    The WERKS that you enter in IT0000 stores in IT0001 but not in IT0000

  • Can we debug the dynamic action code

    Dear Freinds,
                 I want to debug the standard code written for dynamic action for infotype 0002 and to that of infotype 0021. How can i debug is there any standard program for dynamic action please let me know .
    regards
    divya.

    Hi Divya,
    It's possible to debug the dynamic measure. Just go to include MPPERS00 and put a break-point inside subrotines DYN_MEASURE and MEASURE. Then, in PA30, trigger the dynamic action and the system automaticaly will enter in debug mode.
    I'm assuming that you understand ABAP (in order to realize what SAP is doing behind the scenes) and know how to create a break-point in the ABAP editor.
    Good luck,
