Order of members selected using @descendants in planning forms

Hello!
For example, I have the following hierarchy on a dimenstion:
mbr1
_mbr1.1
_mbr1.2
_mbr1.3
__mbr1.3.1
__mbr1.3.2
I want to select all hier by relational function e.g. @idescendants(mbr1)
The result is as follows:
__mbr1.3.2
__mbr1.3.1
_mbr1.3
_mbr1.2
_mbr1.1
mbr1
Is there any chekbox in the planning i missed in order to produce result in normal order, not up-side down?
Thanks in advance.

I am just desinging a data form. Now, I have selected all members i need - one by one. So, if I need to add or remove members from hier on dimension - I need to change all my data forms... a lot of them.

  • Essbase Variable with more than a value for use after in Planning forms.

I want to now if it would be possible to create a variable with more than a value for use after in Planning forms.
The variable that I want to use is created in Essbase.
    Example:
    &Years = FY08,FY09,FY10

    Hi.
The only workaround I know for the problem is to create parent in the dimension.
In your case, create member “planyears”.
Then you define children that are shard (this are the multiple member for the variables FY08, FY09 etc..)
Create Essbase sub variable that will have 1 member value “planyears”
When you use the Sub Variable in form select function “Children” and in that case it will use the member FY08,FY09 etc on the form.
Limitation: I’m working on version 9.2.0.3 so you can’t create hierarchy in the year dimension, but you can use it in other dimension.

  • Odd Behaviour using User Variables to select members in Planning form

I have a form to enter budget adjustments and another form to review the effects of those adjustments at a parent Entity level.
For each area of the business there are obviously different adjustment and parent levels required in the form.
In summary I can drive a form from a User Variable using the functions (Children, IChildren, ILvl0Descendants, Descendants and IDescendants) but trying to use other options results in unexpected behaviour.
For example with the following structure:
    Entity
    -Total Cost Centre
    --Group A
    ---SubGroupA1
    ---SubGroupA2
    ---SubGroupA3
    ---GroupA-Adj
    ----GroupA-AdjX
    -----AdjEntityA1
    -----AdjEntityA2
    --Group B
    ---SubGroupB1
    ---SubGroupB2
    ---SubGroupB3
    ---GroupB-Adj
    ----GroupB-AdjX
    -----AdjEntityB1
    -----AdjEntityB2
For the adjustment entry form the users would want to see AdjEntityA1 and AdjEntityA2 if they are in business group A.
For the review form they would like to see Group A and its children.
I am trying to avoid writing multiple forms for each business user (largely because the number of groups can vary dramatically). I can't really use generations to drive the selections as whilst the business has effectively levelled the hierarchy business units can be working at different levels of this hierarchy.
I want to offer a couple of options to the business. One will be to define a form that pulls all of the relevant entities into the form and relies on security to restrict the values displayed to the user. The second option would be to utilise User Variables to drive selections. It is the second option I am struggling with.
If we consider a user working in Group A, I think I can see a formulaic way to select the various combinations of Entities if I set the user variable to be GroupA-Adj.
I can define a data form that sets Entity to the L0Descendants of say GroupA-Adj and this is fine.
When I try to define a review form that selects the Isiblings and Parent of GroupA-Adj I hit a problem.
It seems that Children, IChildren, ILvl0Descendants, Descendants and IDescendants works as I would expect.
Using IAncestors and IParents return just the User Variable setting (i.e. just the 'I' part, not the parents or Ancestors).
Siblings, Isiblings, Parents, Ancestors all result in an error message because not all dimensions are represented in the form.
This prevents me using a User Variable to build the review form in which I would like to display the siblings and parent of the entity GroupA-Adj.
    Anyone got any ideas?

I would love to see the ability to select EDA's from Planning Forms, it would definately make life a little easier.
As CL says, attributes are great at filtering forms and BR's, their only drawback is that you can only use them on sparse dimensional members.
To get round this problem i've relied on security to filter out the accounts i do not need to see in the forms for the specific users, and kept the form selection on @IDESCENDANTS(Account_Parent).
If you wish to filter on the Period dimension and this is a dense dimension, can you not get round the problem with rollups and, for example, @DESCENDANTS(Q1) to only return 3 months in the form, it really depends on your outline structure.

  • Down Payment processing for Sales orders using Milestone Billing Plan

    Hi,
The business scenario is as follows.
The delivery for the sales orders are to be created only after the pre payment( a percentage of the total sales order value) is made by the customer.
Hence the sales orders while creation are blocked for delivery creation using credit block by means of a userexit.
The credit manager checks the blocked sales orders using VKM1 transaction and verify if there are any payments made by the customer to cover this pre payment to be made.
If it is enough to cover then he releases the sales order manually for delivery creation. This is a complex process since there are too many sales orders and the payments made by the customer may not match the amount to be paid(it can be greater or lesser). The customer just pays a huge amount which is to be distributed among the sales orders for pre payments.
Later, when the invoice is created, the customer account is cleared manually using F-32 transaction for the oldest open invoices.
Here again there is a huge manual effort involved since he need to distribute the amount against the invoices using oldest open item principle.
As a solution we are planning to implement "Down Payment processing for Sales orders using Milestone Billing Plan".
    Is this the right solution?
Can you please give the steps in detail to implement this functionality for above scenario?
We are using SAP 4.7 version without Project Systems.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Can I releases planned orders in planner workbench  using inventory planner responsability (IO)

Can I releases planned orders in planner workbench using inventory planner responsability (IO), in IO manual I found following information :
    Planner Workbench
You can use the Planner Workbench in Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning to act on recommendations generated by the planning process for a plan. You can implement
planned orders as discrete jobs or purchase requisitions, maintain planned orders, reschedule scheduled receipts, and implement repetitive schedules. You can choose all
suggestions from an MRP plan, or only those that meet a certain criteria. In Oracle Inventory Optimization, Planner Workbench is used to perform tasks such as setting up
item attributes, setting up supply chain BOM, and analyzing time-phased safety stocks.
my question is Oracle Inventory Optimization, Planner Workbench can´t release planned orders.
    Thanks in advance
    regards James

    Hi James,
We cannot release planned orders from IO workbench.
IO is for safety stock planning, not for releasing planned orders. That is done from an ASCP plan which uses the IO plan as demand schedule.

  • Reversal of a maint. order which was released through a maintenance plan?

    Hi All,
Is there a way to do reversal of a maintenance order that was released through a maintenance plan?
Because I do not want to process the order; as such I would like to put a reversal indicator for that order and go ahead with the next order that was called through a maintenance plan.
If YES, kindly let me know how to do it?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Kannan J

Hi Thyagarajan, Thanks for the response!
When I want to skip the maintenance call object that was generated through a plan, the system gives me the following message.
"CALL CAN NO LONGER BE SKIPPED"
When I press for further help, system gives me the following message:
"Call can no longer be skipped
    Message no. IP405
    Diagnosis
You have tried to skip a date that has already been called.
    System Response
Since maintenance call objects, for example, maintenance orders, already exist for the dates that have been called, you can no longer skip a date within the scheduling process.
    Procedure
If you do not want to perform the maintenance call objects due on that date, you must reverse the orders that have been called.
You can select the maintenance call objects that have been called using the list editing functions in maintenance processing."
Which means there should be a way to reverse the order, isn't it?
May be with this message you may be able to throw some help on this.
    Many thanks in advance
    Kannan J

  • Forcing a query to use a differnet plan

I have one database where a sql plan appears to be correct through tests. In another database the join order is flipped. Data is relatively close. Hinting the query would require a code change. What is the easiest to force the plan from the other database?
if this new plan does not work, what is the easiest way to revert back.

    Hi,
Another option is SQL Plan Management
SQL Plan Management (SPM) prevents performance regressions resulting from sudden changes to the execution plan of a SQL statement by providing components for capturing, selecting and evolving SQL plan information. Changes to the execution plan may result from database upgrades, system and data changes, application upgrade or bug fixes. When SPM is enabled, the system maintains a plan history that contains all plans generated by the optimizer and stores them in a component called plan baseline. Among the plan history in the plan baseline, plans that are verified not to cause performance regression are marked as acceptable. The plan baseline is used by the optimizer to decide on the best plan to use when compiling a SQL statement. Repository stored in a data dictionary of plan baselines and statement log maintained by the optimizer is called SQL Management Base (SMB).

  • How to use Same Inspection plan for Multiple Plants?

    Hello,
When I create a Process Order for material (M1), release and save it for a Plant A then I get the Inspection lot automatically.
Now I have another Plant B that we have created. We would like to use the same Inspection plan that has been created for Plant A and M1
So in the changed mode(QP02) of the Inspection plan for Plant A in the material assignment tab I added the Material M1 and the Plant B. I am assuming this means when I create the Process order for M1 in Plant B then it should use the same Inspection plan.
But when I create the Process Order for M1 for Plant B, release and save it then it does not created the Inspection lot automatically(though I can create Inspection lot manually)
Can you tell me if there is setting that will allow me to create the Inspection lot automatically on saving the Process order which should use the Inspection plan that I just assigned.
And also let me know if there is a better way to handle same Inspection Plan for same material but multiple Plants.
    Thanks
    SAP Fans...

    Dear,
For your message my understanding is that you are not getting Inspection lot created in Plant"B". Inspection lot for a material would get created based on the Inspection Setup for the material master "QM View", so compare the QM for the material in both plants and correct it for Plant "B".
Probably I feel Inspection Setup is not complete for the material in Plant "B" - Generally when extending material by copying referance, in the QM view you need to click the Inspection Setup Button, for the data to be copied...otherwise it does not copy the Inspection setup from the referance plant.

    AAA
But when I make a similar query in LOV the result is in the select list
    AAA

    AAA

select FIELD from TABLE ORDER BY FIELD
select FIELD from TABLE ORDER BY 1

  • How do I add products to an order/invoice and select a product attribute

Thanks in advance for your assistance!
In using BC as a CRM, we would like to use it as a way to produce quotes, orders and invoices for potential new customers and repeat customers in the system.
I cannot seem to add a product to a quote/order/invoice - and select the desired product attribute(s)...
Is this a fixable issue or "no go" territory?
    Thanks again,
    Lloyd

    Hi Lloyd,
Unfortunately this is a wishlist request as you cannot select the product attribute item when manually generating an order from the CRM at this stage.
The only workaround is to create the order on behalf of the customer on the front-end side of site.
I'll pass this feedback to our product team as well.
    Kind regards,

  • How to use Hierarchy for Planning?

    Hi everybody,
I have created a query, which is input ready.
This query uses a hierarchy which contains different positions being used for cashflow-planning.
My Problem is that cashflow not only consists of positions that have to be added, but also positions, which have to be subtracted/discounted.
I don't know whether it is possible to put my hierarchy into a structure and work with functions (because the function is not able to select child-nodes dynamically, I guess).
That's the reason for me asking:
Can I just instruct my hierarchy not to add eyery node, but also subtract them?
I will be very thankful for every hint being given.
